1. ఆ సాయంకాలమందు ఆ ఇద్దరు దేవదూతలు సొదొమ చేరునప్పటికి లోతు సొదొమ గవినియొద్ద కూర్చుండియుండెను. లోతు వారిని చూచి వారిని ఎదు ర్కొనుటకు లేచి సాష్టాంగ నమస్కారముచేసి

1. And the two angels came into Sodom at evening. And Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. And Lot saw, and he rose up to meet them and bowed his face to the earth.

2. నా ప్రభువులారా, దయచేసి మీ దాసుని యింటికి వచ్చి రాత్రి వెళ్లబుచ్చి కాళ్లు కడుగుకొనుడి, మీరు పెందలకడ లేచి మీ త్రోవను వెళ్ళవచ్చుననెను. అందుకు వారు ఆలాగు కాదు, నడివీధిలో రాత్రి వెళ్ల బుచ్చెదమని చెప్ప్పిరి.

2. And he said, Behold, now, my lords, please turn in to your servant's house and lodge, and wash your feet; and rise early and go to your way. And they said, No, for we will lodge in the street.

3. And he much urged them, and they turned in to him and came into his house. And he made a feast for them. And he baked unleavened cakes, and they ate.

4. Before they had laid down, even the men of the city, the men of Sodom, circled the house; from the young to the aged, all the people from its limits.

5. లోతును పిలిచి ఈ రాత్రి నీ యొద్దకు వచ్చిన మనుష్యులు ఎక్కడ? మేము వారిని కూడునట్లు మా యొద్దకు వారిని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని రమ్మని అతనితో చెప్పగా

5. And they called to Lot and said to him, Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them.

6. లోతు వెలుపల ద్వారము నొద్దనున్న వారి దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి తన వెనుక తలుపువేసి

6. And Lot went out to them, to the door, and he closed the door behind him.

7. అన్నలారా, ఇంత పాతకము కట్టుకొనకుడి;

7. And he said, My brothers, please do not act evilly.

8. ఇదిగో పురుషుని కూడని యిద్దరు కుమార్తెలు నాకున్నారు. సెలవైతే వారిని మీ యొద్దకు వెలుపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చెదను, వారిని మీ మనస్సు వచ్చినట్లు చేయుడి.

8. Behold, now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please let me bring them out to you and do to them as you see fit; only do not do a thing to these men, on account of this they came into the shade of my roof.

9. ఈ మనుష్యులు నా యింటినీడకు వచ్చియున్నారు గనుక వారిని మీరేమి చేయకూడదని చెప్పినప్పుడు వారునీవు అవతలికి పొమ్మనిరి. మరియు వారు వీడెవడో మనలోనికి పరదేశిగా వచ్చి తీర్పరిగా నుండ చూచుచున్నాడు; కాగా వారికంటె నీకు ఎక్కువ కీడు చేసెదమని చెప్పి లోతు అను ఆ మనుష్యునిమీద దొమ్మిగాపడి తలుపు పగులగొట్టుటకు సమీపించిరి.

9. And they said, Stand back! And they said, This one came in to visit, and must he always judge? Now we will do evil to you rather than to them. And they pressed on the man, upon Lot violently, and drew near to break the door.

10. అయితే ఆ మనుష్యులు తమ చేతులు చాపి లోతును ఇంటి లోపలికి తమ యొద్దకు తీసికొని తలుపు వేసిరి.

10. But the men put out their hands and brought Lot in to them, into the house, and shut the door.

11. అప్పుడు వారు పిన్నలు మొదలుకొని పెద్దల వరకు ఆ ఇంటి ద్వారము దగ్గరనున్న వారికి కనుమబ్బు కలుగజేయగా వారు ద్వారము కనుగొనలేక విసికిరి.

11. And they struck the men at the door of the house with blindness, from the small to the great; and they struggled to find the door.

12. అప్పుడా మనుష్యులు లోతుతో ఇక్కడ నీకు మరియెవరున్నారు? నీ అల్లుని నీ కుమారులను నీ కుమార్తెలను ఈ ఊరిలో నీకు కలిగినవారినందరిని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని రమ్ము;

12. And the men said to Lot, Who still is here to you? Bring out of this place your sons and your sons-in-law and your daughters, and whoever belongs to you in the city.

13. మేము ఈ చోటు నాశనము చేయవచ్చితివిు; వారిని గూర్చిన మొర యె హోవా సన్నిధిలో గొప్పదాయెను గనుక దాని నాశనము చేయుటకు యెహోవా మమ్మును పంపెనని చెప్పగా

13. For we are about to destroy this place, for the cry of them is great before Jehovah, and Jehovah has sent us to destroy it.

14. లోతు బయటికి వెళ్లి తన కుమార్తెలను పెండ్లాడ నైయున్న తన అల్లుళ్లతో మాటలాడిలెండి, ఈ చోటు విడిచిపెట్టి రండి; యెహోవా ఈ పట్టణమును నాశనము చేయబోవు చున్నాడని చెప్పెను. అయితే అతడు తన అల్లుళ్ల దృష్టికి ఎగతాళి చేయువానివలె నుండెను.

14. And Lot went out to speak to his sons-in-law, those taking his daughters. And he said, Rise up, go out from this place, for Jehovah is about to destroy the city. And he seemed as one joking to his sons-in-law.

15. తెల్లవారినప్పుడు ఆ దూతలు లోతును త్వరపెట్టిలెమ్ము; ఈ ఊరి దోష శిక్షలో నశించిపోకుండ నీ భార్యను ఇక్కడనున్న నీ యిద్దరు కుమార్తెలను తీసికొని రమ్మని చెప్పిరి.

15. And when the dawn rose, then the angels urged Lot, saying, Rise up, take your wife and your two daughters who are found, lest you be cut off in the depravity of the city.

16. అతడు తడవు చేసెను. అప్పుడు అతనిమీద యెహోవా కనికరపడుట వలన ఆ మనుష్యులు అతనిచేతిని అతని భార్యచేతిని అతని యిద్దరు కుమార్తెల చేతులను పట్టుకొని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చి ఆ ఊరి బయట నుంచిరి.

16. And he lingered. And the men lay hold of his hand and his wife's hand, and on the hand of his two daughters, Jehovah having mercy on him. And they caused him to go out, and they put him down outside the city.

17. ఆ దూతలు వారిని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చిన తరువాత ఆయన నీ ప్రాణమును దక్కించుకొనునట్లు పారిపొమ్ము, నీ వెనుక చూడకుము, ఈ మైదానములో ఎక్కడను నిలువక నీవు నశించి పోకుండ ఆ పర్వతమునకు పారిపొమ్మని చెప్పగా
లూకా 17:31-32

17. And it happened as they led them outside, he said, Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, and do not stay in all the plain. Escape to the mountain, lest you be swept away.

18. లోతు ప్రభువా ఆలాగు కాదు.

18. And Lot said to them, Please, no, Lord!

19. ఇదిగో నీ కటాక్షము నీ దాసునిమీద వచ్చినది; నా ప్రాణము రక్షించుటవలన నీవు నాయెడల కనుపరచిన నీ కృపను ఘనపరచితివి; నేను ఆ పర్వతమునకు తప్పించుకొని పోలేను; ఈ కీడు నాకు సంభవించి చచ్చిపోవుదునేమో

19. Behold, now, Your servant has found grace in Your sight, and You have magnified Your mercy which You have done to me in saving my life. And I am not able to escape to the mountain lest some evil overtake me and I die.

20. ఇదిగో పారిపోవుటకు ఈ ఊరు సమీపములో ఉన్నది, అది చిన్నది, నన్నక్కడికి తప్పించుకొని పోనిమ్ము అది చిన్నది గదా, నేను బ్రదుకుదునని చెప్పినప్పుడు

20. Please, now, this city is near, to flee there, and it is a little one. Please let me escape there! Is it not a little thing, that my soul may live?

21. ఆయన ఇదిగో నీవు చెప్పిన ఈ ఊరు నాశనము చేయను. ఈ విషయములో నీ మనవి అంగీకరించితిని;

21. And He said to him, See, I have lifted up your face also as to this thing, without overthrowing the city for which you have spoken.

22. నీవు త్వరపడి అక్కడికి తప్పించుకొని పొమ్ము; నీ వక్కడ చేరువరకు నేనేమియు చేయలేననెను. అందుచేత ఆ ఊరికి సోయరు అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.

22. Hurry, escape there, for I am not able to do anything until you have come there. So the name of the city was called Zoar.

23. లోతు సోయరుకు వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆ దేశమున సూర్యుడు ఉదయించెను.

23. The sun had gone forth on the earth, and Lot came into Zoar.

24. అప్పుడు యెహోవా సొదొమ మీదను గొమొఱ్ఱా మీదను యెహోవా యొద్ద నుండి గంధకమును అగ్నిని ఆకాశమునుండి కురిపించి

24. And Jehovah rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Jehovah out of the heavens.

25. ఆ పట్టణములను ఆ మైదానమంతటిని ఆ పట్టణములలో నివసించిన వారినందరిని నేల మొలకలను నాశనము చేసెను.

25. And He overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all those living in the cities, and the produce of the ground.

26. అయితే లోతు భార్య అతని వెనుకనుండి తిరిగి చూచి ఉప్పు స్థంభమాయెను.

26. And his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

27. తెల్లవారినప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము లేచి తాను యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిలిచిన చోటికి వచ్చి

27. And Abraham started up early in the morning, going to the place where he had stood there before Jehovah.

28. సొదొమ గొమొఱ్ఱాల తట్టును ఆ మైదానపు ప్రదేశము యావత్తును చూడగా అదిగో ఆ ప్రదేశపు పొగ ఆవము పొగవలె లేచుచుండెను.

28. And he looked toward the face of Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain. And he saw. And, behold, the smoke of the country went up like the smoke of a furnace.

29. దేవుడు ఆ మైదానపు పట్టణములను పాడుచేసినప్పుడు దేవుడు అబ్రాహామును జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొని, లోతు కాపురమున్న పట్టణములను నాశనము చేసినప్పుడు ఆ నాశనము మధ్యన లోతు నశించకుండ అతని తప్పించెను.

29. And it happened when God destroyed the cities of the plain, God remembered Abraham; and He sent Lot out from the overthrow when overturning the cities in which Lot lived.

30. లోతు సోయరులో నివసించుటకు భయపడి, తన యిద్దరు కుమార్తెలతో కూడ సోయరునుండి పోయి ఆ పర్వతమందు నివసించెను. అతడును అతని యిద్దరు కుమార్తెలును ఒక గుహలో నివసించిరి.

30. And Lot went up out of Zoar and lived in the mount. And his two daughters were with him. For he feared to live in Zoar. And he lived in a cave, he and his two daughters.

31. అట్లుండగా అక్క తన చెల్లెలితో మన తండ్రి ముసలి వాడు; సర్వలోక మర్యాద చొప్పున మనతో పోవుటకు లోకములో ఏ పురుషుడును లేడు.

31. And the first-born said to the younger, Our father is old, and there is no man in the land to come in to us as is the way of all the earth.

32. మన తండ్రికి ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగించి అతనితో శయనించి మన తండ్రి వలన సంతానము కలుగచేసికొందము రమ్మని చెప్పెను.

32. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and let us lie with him, that we may keep alive seed of our father.

33. ఆ రాత్రి వారు తమ తండ్రికి ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగించిన తరువాత అతని పెద్ద కుమార్తె లోపలికి వెళ్లి తన తండ్రితో శయనించెను. కాని ఆమె ఎప్పుడు శయనించెనో యెప్పుడు లేచిపోయెనో అతనికి తెలియలేదు.

33. And they caused their father to drink wine that night. And the first-born went in and lay with her father. And he did not know when she lay down nor when she rose up.

34. మరునాడు అక్క తన చెల్లెలిని చూచినిన్నటి రాత్రి నా తండ్రితో నేను శయనించితిని; ఈ రాత్రి అతనికి ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగించిన తరువాత నీవు లోపలికి వెళ్లి అతనితో శయనించుము; ఆలాగున మన తండ్రివలన సంతానము కలుగజేసికొందమని చెప్పెను.

34. And on the next day it happened, the first-born said to the younger, Behold, I lay with my father last night. Let us cause him to drink wine tonight also. And you go in and lie with him, so that we may keep alive seed of our father.

35. ఆ రాత్రియు వారు తమ తండ్రికి ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగించిరి. అప్పుడా చిన్నది లేచి అతనితో శయనించెను. ఆమె యెప్పుడు శయనించెనో యెప్పుడు లేచిపోయెనో అతనికి తెలియలేదు.

35. And they caused their father to drink wine that night also. And the younger rose up and lay with him. And he did not know when she lay down, nor when she rose up.

36. ఆలాగున లోతు యొక్క యిద్దరు కుమార్తెలు తమ తండ్రివలన గర్భవతులైరి.

36. And both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father.

37. వారిలో పెద్దది కుమారుని కని వానికి మోయాబను పేరు పెట్టెను. అతడు నేటివరకు మోయాబీయులకు మూలపురుషుడుగా ఎంచబడును.

37. And the first-born bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of Moab to this day.

38. చిన్నదికూడ కుమారుని కని వానికి బెన్నమ్మి అను పేరు పెట్టెను. అతడు నేటివరకు అమ్మోనీయులకు మూలపురుషుడుగా ఎంచబడును.

38. And the younger also bore a son and called his name Ben-ammi; he is the father of the Ammonites to this day.
