1. It happened, that when Yitzchak was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esav his elder son, and said to him, 'My son?' He said to him, 'Here I am.'

4. Make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat, and that my soul may bless you before I die.'

5. Rivka heard when Yitzchak spoke to Esav his son. Esav went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.

6. అప్పుడు రిబ్కా తన కుమారుడగు యాకోబును చూచి ఇదిగో నీ తండ్రి నీ అన్నయైన ఏశావుతో

6. Rivka spoke to Ya`akov her son, saying, 'Behold, I heard your father speak to Esav your brother, saying,

7. మృతి బొందకమునుపు నేను తిని యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నాకొరకు మాంసము తెచ్చి నాకు రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధ పరచుమని చెప్పగా వింటిని.

7. 'Bring me venison, and make me savory food, that I may eat, and bless you before the LORD before my death.'

8. కాబట్టి నా కుమారుడా, నా మాట విని నేను నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్టు చేయుము.

8. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command you.

9. నీవు మందకు వెళ్లి రెండు మంచి మేక పిల్లలను అక్కడనుండి నాయొద్దకు తెమ్ము. వాటితో నీ తండ్రి కిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను అతనికి చేసెదను.

9. Go now to the flock, and get me from there two good kids of the goats. I will make them savory food for your father, such as he loves.

11. Ya`akov said to Rivka his mother, 'Behold, Esav my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.

12. What if my father touches me? I will seem to him as a deceiver, and I would bring a curse on myself, and not a blessing.'

13. His mother said to him, 'Let your curse be on me, my son. Only obey my voice, and go get them for me.'

14. He went, and got them, and brought them to his mother. His mother made savory food, such as his father loved.

15. Rivka took the good clothes of Esav, her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Ya`akov, her younger son.

17. She gave the savory food and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Ya`akov.

18. He came to his father, and said, 'My father?' He said, 'Here I am. Who are you, my son?'

19. Ya`akov said to his father, 'I am Esav your firstborn. I have done what you asked me to do. Please arise, sit and eat of my venison, that your soul may bless me.'

20. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, ఇంత శీఘ్రముగా అది నీ కెట్లు దొరికెనని అడుగగా అతడు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నా యెదుటికి దాని రప్పించుట చేతనే అని చెప్పెను.

20. Yitzchak said to his son, 'How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?' He said, 'Because the LORD your God gave me success.'

21. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, నీవు ఏశావను నా కుమారుడవో కావో నేను నిన్ను తడవి చూచెదను దగ్గరకు రమ్మని చెప్పెను.

21. Yitzchak said to Ya`akov, 'Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esav or not.'

22. యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు దగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు అతని తడవిచూచి - స్వరము యాకోబు స్వరము గాని చేతులు ఏశావు చేతులే అనెను.

22. Ya`akov went near to Yitzchak his father. He felt him, and said, 'The voice is Ya`akov's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esav.'

23. He didn't recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother, Esav's hands. So he blessed him.

24. He said, 'Are you really my son Esav?' He said, 'I am.'

25. He said, 'Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless you.' He brought it near to him, and he ate. He brought him wine, and he drank.

26. His father Yitzchak said to him, 'Come near now, and kiss me, my son.'

27. He came near, and kissed him. He smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him, and said, 'Behold, the smell of my son Is as the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed.

28. ఆకాశపుమంచును భూసారమును విస్తారమైన ధాన్యమును ద్రాక్షారసమును దేవుడు నీ కనుగ్రహించుగాక

28. God give you of the dew of the sky, of the fatness of the eretz, and plenty of grain and new wine.

29. జనములు నీకు దాసులగుదురు జనములు నీకు సాగిలపడుదురు నీ బంధు జనులకు నీవు ఏలికవై యుండుము నీ తల్లి పుత్రులు నీకు సాగిలపడుదురు నిన్ను శపించువారు శపింపబడుదురు నిన్ను దీవించువారు దీవింపబడుదురుగాక

29. Let peoples serve you, Nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, Let your mother's sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, Blessed be everyone who blesses you.'

30. ఇస్సాకు యాకోబును దీవించుటయైన తరువాత యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు ఎదుటనుండి బయలు దేరి వెళ్లిన తక్షణమే అతని సహోదరుడైన ఏశావు వేటాడి వచ్చెను.

30. It happened, as soon as Yitzchak had made an end of blessing Ya`akov, and Ya`akov had just gone out from the presence of Yitzchak his father, that Esav his brother came in from his hunting.

31. అతడును రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచి తన తండ్రియొద్దకు తెచ్చినా తండ్రీ నన్ను దీవించునట్లు లేచి నీ కుమారుడు వేటాడి తెచ్చినదాని తినుమని తన తండ్రితోననెను.

31. He also made savory food, and brought it to his father. He said to his father, 'Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that your soul may bless me.'

32. అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు - నీ వెవరవని అతని నడిగినప్పుడు అతడునేను నీ కుమారుడను ఏశావు అను నీ జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడననగా

32. Yitzchak his father said to him, 'Who are you?' He said, 'I am your son, your firstborn, Esav.'

33. ఇస్సాకు మిక్కుటముగా గడగడ వణకుచు అట్లయితే వేటాడిన భోజ్యమును నాయొద్దకు తెచ్చినవారెవరు? నీవు రాకమునుపు నేను వాటన్నిటిలో తిని అతనిని నిజముగా దీవించితిని, అతడు దీవింపబడినవాడే యనెను.

33. Yitzchak trembled violently, and said, 'Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed.'

34. ఏశావు తన తండ్రి మాటలు వినినప్పుడు దుఃఖాక్రాంతుడై పెద్దకేక వేసి - ఓ నా తండ్రీ, నన్నును దీవించుమని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పెను.

34. When Esav heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceeding great and bitter cry, and said to his father, 'Bless me, even me also, my father.'

35. He said, 'Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.'

36. He said, 'Isn't he rightly named Ya`akov? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing.' He said, 'Haven't you reserved a blessing for me?'

37. అందుకు ఇస్సాకు - ఇదిగో అతని నీకు ఏలికనుగా నియమించి అతని బంధుజనులందరిని అతనికి దాసులుగా ఇచ్చితిని; ధాన్యమును ద్రాక్షారసమును ఇచ్చి అతని పోషించితిని గనుక నా కుమారుడా, నీకేమి చేయవలెనని ఏశావుతో ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యగా¸

37. Yitzchak answered Esav, 'Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers have I given to him for servants. With grain and new wine have I sustained him. What then will I do for you, my son?'

38. ఏశావు నా తండ్రీ, నీయొద్ద ఒక దీవెనయే ఉన్నదా? నా తండ్రీ, నన్ను, నన్ను కూడ దీవించుమని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పి ఏశావు ఎలుగెత్తి యేడ్వగా అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు -

38. Esav said to his father, 'Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, my father.' Esav lifted up his voice, and wept.

39. నీ నివాసము భూసారము లేకయు పైనుండిపడు ఆకాశపుమంచు లేకయు నుండును.

39. Yitzchak his father answered him, 'Behold, of the fatness of the eretz will be your dwelling, and of the dew of the sky from above.

40. నీవు నీకత్తిచేత బ్రదుకుదువు నీ సహోదరునికి దాసుడవగుదువు నీవు తిరుగులాడు చుండగా నీ మెడ మీదనుండి అతని కాడి విరిచివేయుదువు అని అతని కుత్తరమిచ్చెను.

40. By your sword will you live, and you will serve your brother. It will happen, when you will break loose, That you shall shake his yoke from off your neck.'

41. తన తండ్రి యాకోబుకిచ్చిన దీవెన నిమిత్తము ఏశావు అతనిమీద పగపట్టెను. మరియు ఏశావు నా తండ్రిని గూర్చిన దుఃఖదినములు సమీపముగా నున్నవి; అప్పుడు నా తమ్ముడైన యాకోబును చంపెదననుకొనెను.

41. Esav hated Ya`akov because of the blessing with which his father blessed him. Esav said in his heart, 'The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Ya`akov.'

42. రిబ్కా తన పెద్దకుమారుడైన ఏశావు మాటలనుగూర్చి వినినప్పుడు ఆమె తన చిన్న కుమారుడైన యాకోబును పిలువనంపి అతనితో ఇట్లనెను - ఇదిగో నీ అన్నయైన ఏశావు నిన్ను చంపెదనని చెప్పి నిన్ను గూర్చి తన్నుతాను ఓదార్చుకొను చున్నాడు.

42. The words of Esav, her elder son, were told to Rivka. She sent and called Ya`akov her younger son, and said to him, 'Behold, your brother Esav comforts himself about you by planning to kill you.

43. కాబట్టి నా కుమారుడా, నీవు నా మాట విని లేచి హారానులోనున్న నా సహోదరుడగు లాబాను నొద్దకు పారిపోయి నీ అన్నకోపము చల్లారువరకు

43. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice. Arise, flee to Lavan, my brother, in Haran.

44. నీ అన్న కోపము నీమీదనుండి తొలగి నీవు అతనికి చేసిన వాటిని అతడు మరచు వరకు లాబానునొద్ద కొన్నాళ్లు ఉండుము;

44. Stay with him a few days, until your brother's fury turns away;

45. అప్పుడు నేను అక్కడనుండి నిన్ను పిలిపించెదను. ఒక్కనాడే మీ యిద్దరిని నేను పోగొట్టుకొననేల అనెను.

45. until your brother's anger turn away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send, and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?'

46. Rivka said to Yitzchak, 'I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Het. If Ya`akov takes a wife of the daughters of Het, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good will my life do me?'
