1. ఇస్సాకు వృద్ధుడై అతని కన్నులకు మందదృష్టి కలిగినప్పుడు అతడు తన పెద్ద కుమారుడైన ఏశావుతో నా కుమారుడా, అని అతని పిలువగా అతడు చిత్తము నాయనా అని అతనితో ననెను.

1. And it came to passe, that whe Isahac waxed olde, & his eyes were dimme, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest sonne, & saide vnto hym, my sonne? And he sayde vnto hym: here am I.

2. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు ఇదిగో నేను వృద్ధుడను, నా మరణదినము నాకు తెలియదు.

2. And he sayde: Beholde, I am nowe olde, and knowe not the daye of my death.

3. కాబట్టి నీవు దయచేసి నీ ఆయుధములైన నీ అంబుల పొదిని నీ విల్లును తీసికొని అడవికి పోయి నాకొరకు వేటాడి మాంసము తెమ్ము.

3. Nowe therefore take I pray thee thy weapons, thy quyuer and thy bowe, and get thee to the fielde, that thou mayest take me some venison.

4. నేను చావక మునుపు నిన్ను నేను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నాకిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచి నేను తినుటకై నాయొద్దకు తెమ్మని చెప్పెను.

4. And make me well tastyng meates, such as I loue, and bryng it to me, that I may eate, that my soule may blesse thee before that I dye.

5. ఇస్సాకు తన కుమారుడగు ఏశావుతో ఇట్లు చెప్పుచుండగా రిబ్కా వినుచుండెను. ఏశావు వేటాడి మాంసము తెచ్చుటకు అడవికి వెళ్లెను.

5. But Rebecca hearde when Isahac spake to Esau his sonne: And Esau wet into the fielde to hunt venison, and to bryng it.

6. అప్పుడు రిబ్కా తన కుమారుడగు యాకోబును చూచి ఇదిగో నీ తండ్రి నీ అన్నయైన ఏశావుతో

6. And Rebecca spake vnto Iacob her sonne, saying: Beholde, I haue hearde thy father talkyng with Esau thy brother, and saying:

7. మృతి బొందకమునుపు నేను తిని యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నాకొరకు మాంసము తెచ్చి నాకు రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధ పరచుమని చెప్పగా వింటిని.

7. Bring me venison, and make me daintie meate, that I may eate, and blesse thee before the Lorde, afore my death.

8. కాబట్టి నా కుమారుడా, నా మాట విని నేను నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్టు చేయుము.

8. Nowe therfore my sonne heare my voyce in that which I comaunde thee.

9. నీవు మందకు వెళ్లి రెండు మంచి మేక పిల్లలను అక్కడనుండి నాయొద్దకు తెమ్ము. వాటితో నీ తండ్రి కిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను అతనికి చేసెదను.

9. Get thee to the flocke, and bryng me thence two good kyddes fro the goates, and I wyll make of them pleasaunt meates for thy father, such as he loueth.

10. నీ తండ్రి మృతిబొందక ముందు అతడు వాటిని తిని నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు నీవు వాటిని నీ తండ్రి యొద్దకు తీసికొనిపోవలెననెను.

10. And thou shalt bryng it to thy father that he may eate, and that he may blesse thee before his death.

11. అందుకు యాకోబు నా సహోదరుడైన ఏశావు రోమము గలవాడు, నేను నున్ననివాడను గదా.

11. Then said Iacob to Rebecca his mother: Beholde, Esau my brother is a heary man, and I am smoothe:

12. ఒకవేళ నా తండ్రి నన్ను తడవిచూచును, అప్పుడు నేను అతని దృష్టికి వంచకుడనుగా తోచినయెడల నా మీదికి శాపమే గాని ఆశీర్వాదము తెచ్చుకొననని చెప్పెను.

12. My father shall peraduenture feele mee, and I shall seeme vnto hym as though I went about to begyle hym, and so shall I bryng a curse vpon me, and not a blessyng.

13. అయినను అతని తల్లి నా కుమారుడా, ఆ శాపము నా మీదికి వచ్చును గాక. నీవు నా మాట మాత్రము విని, పోయి వాటిని నాయొద్దకు తీసికొని రమ్మని చెప్పగా

13. And his mother sayde vnto him, Upon me be the curse my sonne: only heare my voyce, and go and fetche me them.

14. అతడు వెళ్లి వాటిని తన తల్లియొద్దకు తీసికొనివచ్చెను. అతని తల్లి అతని తండ్రి కిష్టమైన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచెను.

14. And [Iacob] went, and fet them, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made pleasaunt meate, such as she knewe his father loued.

15. మరియు తన జ్యేష్ఠ కుమారుడగు ఏశావునకు సొగసైన వస్త్రములు ఇంట తన యొద్ద నుండెను గనుక

15. And Rebecca fet goodly rayment of her eldest sonne Esau, whiche were in the house with her, and put them vpon Iacob her younger sonne:

16. And she put the skynnes of the kiddes vpon his handes, and vpon the smoothe of his necke.

17. తాను సిద్ధపరచిన రుచిగల భోజ్యములను రొట్టెను తన కుమారుడగు యాకోబు చేతి కియ్యగా

17. And she put that pleasaunt meate and bread, whiche she had prepared, in the hande of her sonne Iacob.

18. అతడు తన తండ్రి యొద్దకు వచ్చి - నా తండ్రీ, అని పిలువగా అతడు ఏమి నా కుమారుడా, నీ వెవరవని అడిగెను

18. When he came to his father, he sayde: my father? And he aunswered, here am I: who art thou, my sonne?

19. అందుకు యాకోబు నేను ఏశావు అను నీ జ్యేష్ఠ కుమారుడను, నీవు నాతో చెప్పిన ప్రకారము చేసియున్నాను. నీవు నన్ను దీవించుటకై దయచేసి లేచి కూర్చుండి, నేను వేటాడి తెచ్చినదానిని తినుమనెను.

19. And Iacob sayde vnto his father: I am Esau thy eldest sonne, I haue done accordyng as thou baddest me: aryse I pray thee, syt, and eate of my venison, that thy soule may blesse me.

20. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, ఇంత శీఘ్రముగా అది నీ కెట్లు దొరికెనని అడుగగా అతడు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నా యెదుటికి దాని రప్పించుట చేతనే అని చెప్పెను.

20. And Isahac said vnto his sonne: how commeth it that thou hast founde it so quickly my sonne? He aunswered: the lorde thy God brought it to my handes.

21. అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, నీవు ఏశావను నా కుమారుడవో కావో నేను నిన్ను తడవి చూచెదను దగ్గరకు రమ్మని చెప్పెను.

21. Then sayde Isahac vnto Iacob: Come neare, and I wyll feele thee my sonne, whether thou be my very sonne Esau, or not.

22. యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు దగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు అతని తడవిచూచి - స్వరము యాకోబు స్వరము గాని చేతులు ఏశావు చేతులే అనెను.

22. Then went Iacob to Isahac his father, and he felt hym, and sayde: The voyce is Iacobs voyce, but the handes are the handes of Esau.

23. యాకోబు చేతులు అతని అన్నయైన ఏశావు చేతులవలె రోమము గలవైనందున ఇస్సాకు అతనిని గురుతు పట్టలేక అతనిని దీవించి

23. And he knewe him not, because his handes were heary as his brother Esaus handes: and so he blessed hym.

24. ఏశావు అను నా కుమారుడవు నీవేనా అని అడుగగా యాకోబు - నేనే అనెను.

24. And he asked him: art thou my sonne Esau? And he sayde: that I am.

25. అంతట అతడు అది నాయొద్దకు తెమ్ము; నేను నిన్ను దీవించునట్లు నా కుమారుడు వేటాడి తెచ్చినది తిందు ననెను; అతడు తెచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు తినెను; ద్రాక్షారసము తేగా అతడు త్రాగెను.

25. Then sayde he: Bryng me, & let me eate of my sonnes venison, that my soule may blesse thee. And he brought hym, and he ate: and he brought hym wine also, and he dranke.

26. తరువాత అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు నా కుమారుడా, దగ్గరకువచ్చి నన్ను ముద్దు పెట్టుకొమ్మని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

26. And his father Isahac said vnto him: Come neare, and kysse me, my sonne.

27. అతడు దగ్గరకు వచ్చి అతని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనెను. అప్పుడతడు అతని వస్త్రములను వాసన చూచి అతని దీవించి యిట్లనెను. ఇదిగో నా కుమారుని సువాసన యెహోవా దీవించిన చేని సువాసనవలె నున్నది.

27. And he went vnto him, & kyssed him, and he smelled the sauour of his rayment, and blessed hym, & saide: See, the smell of my sonne, is as the smell of a fielde which the Lorde hath blessed.

28. ఆకాశపుమంచును భూసారమును విస్తారమైన ధాన్యమును ద్రాక్షారసమును దేవుడు నీ కనుగ్రహించుగాక

28. God geue thee of the deawe of heauen, and of the fatnesse of the earth, and plentie of corne and wine.

29. జనములు నీకు దాసులగుదురు జనములు నీకు సాగిలపడుదురు నీ బంధు జనులకు నీవు ఏలికవై యుండుము నీ తల్లి పుత్రులు నీకు సాగిలపడుదురు నిన్ను శపించువారు శపింపబడుదురు నిన్ను దీవించువారు దీవింపబడుదురుగాక

29. People be thy seruauntes, and nations bowe to thee: be lorde ouer thy brethren, and thy mothers children stowpe with reuerence vnto thee: cursed be he that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.

30. ఇస్సాకు యాకోబును దీవించుటయైన తరువాత యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు ఎదుటనుండి బయలు దేరి వెళ్లిన తక్షణమే అతని సహోదరుడైన ఏశావు వేటాడి వచ్చెను.

30. Assoone as Isahac had made an ende of blessyng Iacob, & Iacob was scarse gone out from the presence of Isahac his father, then came Esau his brother from his huntyng.

31. అతడును రుచిగల భోజ్యములను సిద్ధపరచి తన తండ్రియొద్దకు తెచ్చినా తండ్రీ నన్ను దీవించునట్లు లేచి నీ కుమారుడు వేటాడి తెచ్చినదాని తినుమని తన తండ్రితోననెను.

31. And he also had made a pleasaunt meate, and brought it vnto his father, and saide vnto his father: let my father aryse, and eate of his sonnes venison, that thy soule may blesse me.

32. అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు - నీ వెవరవని అతని నడిగినప్పుడు అతడునేను నీ కుమారుడను ఏశావు అను నీ జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడననగా

32. Then his father Isahac sayde vnto hym: who art thou? He aunswered: I am thy sonne, thy first borne Esau.

33. ఇస్సాకు మిక్కుటముగా గడగడ వణకుచు అట్లయితే వేటాడిన భోజ్యమును నాయొద్దకు తెచ్చినవారెవరు? నీవు రాకమునుపు నేను వాటన్నిటిలో తిని అతనిని నిజముగా దీవించితిని, అతడు దీవింపబడినవాడే యనెను.

33. And Isahac was greatly astonied out of measure, and sayde: which [is he] and where [is he] then that hath hunted venison and brought it me, and I haue eaten of al before thou camest? and haue blessed hym, yea & he shalbe blessed.

34. ఏశావు తన తండ్రి మాటలు వినినప్పుడు దుఃఖాక్రాంతుడై పెద్దకేక వేసి - ఓ నా తండ్రీ, నన్నును దీవించుమని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పెను.

34. When Esau hearde the wordes of his father, he cryed aloude & bitterly, aboue measure, and sayde vnto his father: blesse me, I also am [thy sonne] O my father.

35. అతడు - నీ సహోదరుడు కపటోపాయముతో వచ్చి నీకు రావలసిన దీవెన తీసికొనిపోయెను.

35. Who aunswered. Thy brother came with subtiltie, and hath taken awaye thy blessyng.

36. ఏశావు యాకోబు అను పేరు అతనికి సరిగానే చెల్లినది; అతడు నన్ను ఈ రెండు మారులు మోసపుచ్చెను. నా జ్యేష్ఠత్వము తీసికొనెను, ఇదిగో ఇప్పుడు వచ్చి నాకు రావలసిన దీవెనను తీసికొనెనని చెప్పి - నా కొరకు మరి యే దీవెనయు మిగిల్చి యుంచలేదా అని అడిగెను.

36. And he said agayne: Is not he rightly named Iacob? for he hath vndermyned me nowe two tymes. [First] he toke away my birthright: and see, nowe hath he taken away my blessyng also. And he sayde: hast thou kept neuer a blessyng for me?

37. అందుకు ఇస్సాకు - ఇదిగో అతని నీకు ఏలికనుగా నియమించి అతని బంధుజనులందరిని అతనికి దాసులుగా ఇచ్చితిని; ధాన్యమును ద్రాక్షారసమును ఇచ్చి అతని పోషించితిని గనుక నా కుమారుడా, నీకేమి చేయవలెనని ఏశావుతో ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యగా¸

37. Isahac aunswered, and sayde vnto Esau: Beholde, I haue made hym thy Lorde, & all his brethren haue I made his seruauntes: Moreouer, with corne and wine haue I stablished him, what shall I do vnto thee nowe my sonne?

38. ఏశావు నా తండ్రీ, నీయొద్ద ఒక దీవెనయే ఉన్నదా? నా తండ్రీ, నన్ను, నన్ను కూడ దీవించుమని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పి ఏశావు ఎలుగెత్తి యేడ్వగా అతని తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు -

38. And Esau sayde vnto his father: hast thou but that one blessyng my father? blesse me, I am also [thy sonne] O my father. So lyfted vp Esau his voyce, and wept.

39. నీ నివాసము భూసారము లేకయు పైనుండిపడు ఆకాశపుమంచు లేకయు నుండును.

39. Then Isahac his father aunswered, and sayde vnto hym: beholde, thy dwellyng place shalbe the fatnesse of the earth, and of the deawe of heauen from aboue.

40. నీవు నీకత్తిచేత బ్రదుకుదువు నీ సహోదరునికి దాసుడవగుదువు నీవు తిరుగులాడు చుండగా నీ మెడ మీదనుండి అతని కాడి విరిచివేయుదువు అని అతని కుత్తరమిచ్చెను.

40. And through thy sworde shalt thou liue, and shalt be thy brothers seruaunt: and it shal come to passe, that thou shalt get the maisterie, & thou shalt loose his yoke from of thy necke.

41. తన తండ్రి యాకోబుకిచ్చిన దీవెన నిమిత్తము ఏశావు అతనిమీద పగపట్టెను. మరియు ఏశావు నా తండ్రిని గూర్చిన దుఃఖదినములు సమీపముగా నున్నవి; అప్పుడు నా తమ్ముడైన యాకోబును చంపెదననుకొనెను.

41. And Esau hated Iacob, because of the blessyng that his father blessed hym withall. And Esau sayde in his heart: The dayes of sorowyng for my father are at hande, then wyll I slaye my brother Iacob.

42. రిబ్కా తన పెద్దకుమారుడైన ఏశావు మాటలనుగూర్చి వినినప్పుడు ఆమె తన చిన్న కుమారుడైన యాకోబును పిలువనంపి అతనితో ఇట్లనెను - ఇదిగో నీ అన్నయైన ఏశావు నిన్ను చంపెదనని చెప్పి నిన్ను గూర్చి తన్నుతాను ఓదార్చుకొను చున్నాడు.

42. And these wordes of Esau her elder sonne were tolde to Rebecca: And she sent, & called Iacob her younger sonne, & saide vnto him: Beholde, thy brother Esau as touchyng thee doth comforte hym selfe [full purposyng] to kyll thee.

43. కాబట్టి నా కుమారుడా, నీవు నా మాట విని లేచి హారానులోనున్న నా సహోదరుడగు లాబాను నొద్దకు పారిపోయి నీ అన్నకోపము చల్లారువరకు

43. Nowe therefore my sonne heare my voyce: make thee redy, and flee to Laban my brother at Haran,

44. నీ అన్న కోపము నీమీదనుండి తొలగి నీవు అతనికి చేసిన వాటిని అతడు మరచు వరకు లాబానునొద్ద కొన్నాళ్లు ఉండుము;

44. And tary with him awhyle vntyl thy brothers fiercenesse be swaged,

45. అప్పుడు నేను అక్కడనుండి నిన్ను పిలిపించెదను. ఒక్కనాడే మీ యిద్దరిని నేను పోగొట్టుకొననేల అనెను.

45. And vntyll thy brothers wrath turne away from thee, & he forget the thinges which thou hast done to hym: then wyll I sende and fet thee away from thence: why should I be desolate of you both in one day?

46. మరియు రిబ్కా ఇస్సాకుతో - హేతు కుమార్తెలవలన నా ప్రాణము విసికినది. ఈ దేశస్థురాండ్రయిన హేతు కుమార్తెలలో వీరివంటి ఒకదానిని యాకోబు పెండ్లి చేసి కొనినయెడల నా బ్రదుకువలన నాకేమి ప్రయోజనమనెను.

46. And Rebecca spake to Isahac: I am weery of my lyfe for the daughters of Heth. Yf Iacob take a wyfe of the daughters of Heth, such as these [which are] of the daughters of the lande, what good shall my lyfe do me?
