1. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు తనకు కలిగినదంతయు తీసికొని ప్రయాణమై బెయేర్షెబాకు వచ్చి తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు దేవునికి బలులనర్పించెను.

1. And Israel went on his journey with all he had, and came to Beer-sheba, where he made offerings to the God of his father Isaac.

2. అప్పుడు రాత్రి దర్శనములయందు దేవుడు - యాకోబూ యాకోబూ అని ఇశ్రాయేలును పిలిచెను. అందుకతడు - చిత్తము ప్రభువా అనెను.

2. And God said to Israel in a night-vision, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

3. ఆయన నేనే దేవుడను, నీ తండ్రి దేవుడను, ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లుటకు భయపడకుము, అక్కడ నిన్ను గొప్పజనముగా చేసెదను.

3. And he said, I am God, the God of your father: go down to Egypt without fear, for I will make a great nation of you there:

4. నేను ఐగుప్తునకు నీతోగూడ వచ్చెదను, అంతేకాదు నేను నిశ్చయముగా నిన్ను తిరిగి తీసికొని వచ్చెదను, యోసేపు నీ కన్నుల మీద తన చెయ్యియుంచునని సెలవియ్యగా

4. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will see that you come back again, and at your death Joseph will put his hands on your eyes.

5. యాకోబు లేచి బెయేర్షెబా నుండి వెళ్లెను. ఫరో అతని నెక్కించి తీసికొని వచ్చుటకు పంపిన బండ్లమీద ఇశ్రాయేలు కుమారులు తమ తండ్రియైన యాకోబును తమ పిల్లలను తమ భార్యలను ఎక్కించిరి.

5. Then Jacob went on from Beer-sheba; and the sons of Jacob took their father and their little ones and their wives in the carts which Pharaoh had sent for them.

6. వారు, అనగా యాకోబును అతని యావత్తు సంతానమును, తమ పశువులను తాము కనానులో సంపాదించిన సంపద యావత్తును తీసికొని ఐగుప్తునకు వచ్చిరి.

6. And they took their cattle and all the goods which they had got in the land of Canaan, and came to Egypt, even Jacob and all his seed:

7. అతడు తన కుమారులను తన కుమారుల కుమారులను తన కుమార్తెలను తన కుమారుల కుమార్తెలను తన యావత్తు సంతానమును ఐగుప్తునకు తనతోకూడ తీసికొనివచ్చెను.

7. His sons and his sons' sons, his daughters and his daughters' sons and all his family he took with him into Egypt.

8. యాకోబును అతని కుమారులును ఐగుప్తునకు వచ్చిరి. ఇశ్రాయేలు కుమారుల పేళ్లు ఇవే;

8. And these are the names of the children of Israel who came into Egypt, even Jacob and all his sons: Reuben, Jacob's oldest son;

9. యాకోబు జ్యేష్ఠ కుమారుడు రూబేను. రూబేను కుమారులైన హనోకు పల్లు హెస్రోను కర్మీ.

9. And the sons of Reuben: Hanoch and Pallu and Hezron and Carmi;

10. షిమ్యోను కుమారులైన యెమూయేలు యామీను ఓహదు యాకీను సోహరు కనానీయురాలి కుమారుడైన షావూలు.

10. And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul, the son of a woman of Canaan;

11. లేవి కుమారులైన గెర్షోను కహాతు మెరారి

11. And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari;

12. యూదా కుమారులైన ఏరు ఓనాను షేలా పెరెసు జెరహు. ఆ ఏరును ఓనానును కనాను దేశములో చనిపోయిరి. పెరెసు కుమారులైన హెస్రోను హామూలు.

12. And the sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Perez and Zerah: but Er and Onan had come to their death in the land of Canaan; and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

13. ఇశ్శాఖారు కుమారులైన తోలా పువ్వా యోబు షిమ్రోను.

13. And the sons of Issachar: Tola and Puah and Job and Shimron;

14. జెబూలూను కుమారులైన సెరెదు ఏలోను యహలేలు.

14. And the sons of Zebulun: Sered and Elon and Jahleel;

15. వీరు లేయా కుమారులు. ఆమె పద్దనరాములో యాకోబు వారిని అతని కుమార్తెయైన దీనాను కనెను. అతని కుమారులును అతని కుమార్తెలును అందరును ముప్పది ముగ్గురు.

15. All these, together with his daughter Dinah, were the children of Leah, whom Jacob had by her in Paddan-aram; they were thirty-three in number.

16. గాదు కుమారులైన సిప్యోను హగ్గీ షూనీ ఎస్బోను ఏరీ ఆరోదీ అరేలీ.

16. And the sons of Gad: Ziphion and Haggi, Shuni and Ezbon, Eri and Arodi and Areli;

17. ఆషేరు కుమారులైన ఇమ్నా ఇష్వా ఇష్వీ బెరీయా; వారి సహోదరియైన శెరహు. ఆ బెరీయా కుమారులైన హెబెరు మల్కీయేలు.

17. And the sons of Asher: Jimnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah, and Sarah, their sister; and the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

18. లాబాను తన కుమార్తెయైన లేయా కిచ్చిన జిల్పా కుమారులు వీరే . ఆమె యీ పదునారు మందిని యాకోబునకు కనెను.

18. These are the children of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah, and Jacob had these sixteen children by her.

19. యాకోబు భార్యయైన రాహేలు కుమారులైన యోసేపు బెన్యామీను.

19. The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.

20. యోసేపునకు మనష్షే ఎఫ్రాయిములు పుట్టిరి. వారిని ఐగుప్తు దేశమందు ఓనుకు యాజకుడగు పోతీఫెర కుమార్తెయైన ఆసెనతు అతనికి కనెను.

20. And Joseph had Manasseh and Ephraim in the land of Egypt, by Asenath, the daughter of Poti-phera, priest of On.

21. బెన్యామీను కుమారులైన బెల బేకెరు అష్బేలు గెరా నయమాను ఏహీరోషు ముప్పీము హుప్పీము ఆర్దు.

21. And the sons of Benjamin were Belah and Becher and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, Ehi and Rosh, Muppim and Huppim and Ard.

22. యాకోబునకు రాహేలు కనిన కుమారులగు వీరందరు పదునలుగురు.

22. All these were the children of Rachel whom Jacob had by her, fourteen persons.

23. దాను కుమారుడైన హుషీము.

23. And the son of Dan was Hushim.

24. నఫ్తాలి కుమారులైన యహనేలు గూనీ యేసెరు షిల్లేము.

24. And the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel and Guni and Jezer and Shillem.

25. లాబాను తన కుమార్తెయైన రాహేలునకు ఇచ్చిన బిల్హా కుమారులు వీరే. ఆమె వారిని యాకోబునకు కనెను. వారందరు ఏడుగురు.

25. These were the children of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, seven persons.

26. యాకోబు కోడండ్రను వినాయించి అతని గర్భవాసమున పుట్టి యాకోబుతో ఐగుప్తునకు వచ్చిన వారందరు అరువది ఆరుగురు.

26. All the persons who came with Jacob into Egypt, the offspring of his body, were sixty-six, without taking into account the wives of Jacob's sons.

27. ఐగుప్తులో అతనికి పుట్టిన యోసేపు కుమారులిద్దరు; ఐగుప్తునకు వచ్చిన యాకోబు కుటుంబపు వారందరు డెబ్బది మంది.

27. And the sons of Joseph whom he had in Egypt were two. Seventy persons of the family of Jacob came into Egypt.

28. అతడు గోషెనుకు త్రోవ చూపుటకు యోసేపు నొద్దకు తనకు ముందుగా యూదాను పంపెను. వారు గోషెను దేశమునకు రాగా

28. Now he had sent Judah before him to Goshen, to get word from Joseph; and so they came to the land of Goshen.

29. యోసేపు తన రథమును సిద్ధము చేయించి తన తండ్రియైన ఇశ్రాయేలును ఎదుర్కొనుటకు గోషెనుకు వెళ్లి అతనికి కనబడెను. అప్పుడతడు అతని మెడమీద పడి అతని మెడ పట్టుకొని యెంతో ఏడ్చెను.

29. And Joseph got his carriage ready and went to Goshen for the meeting with his father; and when he came before him, he put his arms round his neck, weeping.

30. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు యోసేపుతో - నీవింక బ్రదికియున్నావు; నీ ముఖము చూచితిని గనుక నేనికను చనిపోవుదునని చెప్పెను.

30. And Israel said to Joseph, Now that I have seen you living again, I am ready for death.

31. యోసేపు తన సహోదరులను తన తండ్రి కుటుంబపు వారినిచూచి - నేను వెళ్లి యిది ఫరోకు తెలియచేసి, కనాను దేశములో ఉండిన నా సహోదరులును నా తండ్రి కుటుంబపువారును నాయొద్దకు వచ్చిరి;

31. And Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's people, I will go and give the news to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers and my father's people, from the land of Canaan, have come to me;

32. ఆ మనుష్యులు పశువులు గలవారు, వారు గొఱ్ఱెల కాపరులు. వారు తమ గొఱ్ఱెలను పశువులను తమకు కలిగినదంతయు తీసికొనివచ్చిరని అతనితో చెప్పెదను.

32. And these men are keepers of sheep and owners of cattle, and have with them their flocks and their herds and all they have.

33. గొఱ్ఱెల కాపరియైన ప్రతివాడు ఐగుప్తీయులకు హేయుడు గనుక ఫరో మిమ్మును పిలిపించి మీ వృత్తి యేమిటని అడిగినయెడల

33. Now when Pharaoh sends for you and says, What is your business?

34. మీరు గోషెను దేశమందు కాపురముండునట్లు - మా చిన్నతనమునుండి ఇదివరకు నీ దాసులమైన మేమును మా పూర్వికులును పశువులు గల వారమై యున్నామని ఉత్తరమియ్యుడని చెప్పెను.

34. You are to say, Your servants have been keepers of cattle from our early days up to now, like our fathers; in this way you will be able to have the land of Goshen for yourselves; because keepers of sheep are unclean in the eyes of the Egyptians.
