1. యెహోవా ఈ తరమువారిలో నీవే నా యెదుట నీతిమంతుడవై యుండుట చూచితిని గనుక నీవును నీ యింటి వారును ఓడలో ప్రవేశించుడి.

1. Then the Lord said to Noah, 'Go into the ark with your whole family. I know that you are a godly man among the people of today.

2. పవిత్ర జంతువులలో ప్రతి జాతి పోతులు ఏడును పెంటులు ఏడును, పవిత్రములు కాని జంతువులలో ప్రతి జాతి పోతును పెంటియు రెండును

2. 'Take seven of every kind of 'clean' animal with you. Take male and female of them. Take two of every kind of animal that is not 'clean.' Take male and female of them.

3. ఆకాశ పక్షులలో ప్రతి జాతి మగవి యేడును ఆడువి యేడును, నీవు భూమి అంతటిమీద సంతతిని జీవముతో కాపాడునట్లు నీయొద్ద ఉంచుకొనుము;

3. Also take seven of every kind of bird. Take male and female of them. That will keep every kind alive. Then they can spread out again over the whole earth.

4. ఎందుకనగా ఇంకను ఏడు దినములకు నేను నలుబది పగళ్లును నలుబది రాత్రులును భూమిమీద వర్షము కురిపించి, నేను చేసిన సమస్త జీవరాసులను భూమిమీద ఉండకుండ తుడిచివేయుదునని నోవహుతో చెప్పెను.

4. 'Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth. It will rain for 40 days and 40 nights. I will destroy from the face of the earth every living thing I have made.'

5. తనకు యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము నోవహు యావత్తు చేసెను.

5. Noah did everything the Lord commanded him to do.

6. ఆ జలప్రవాహము భూమిమీదికి వచ్చినప్పుడు నోవహు ఆరువందల యేండ్లవాడు.

6. Noah was 600 years old when the flood came on the earth.

7. అప్పుడు నోవహును అతనితో కూడ అతని కుమారులును అతని భార్యయు అతని కోడండ్రును ఆ ప్రవాహజలములను తప్పించుకొనుటకై ఆ ఓడలో ప్రవేశించిరి.

7. He and his sons entered the ark. His wife and his sons' wives went with them. They entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

8. దేవుడు నోవహునకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము పవిత్ర జంతువులలోను అపవిత్ర జంతువులలోను, పక్షులలోను నేలను ప్రాకు వాటన్నిటిలోను,

8. Pairs of 'clean' animals and pairs of animals that were not 'clean' came to Noah. So did pairs of birds and pairs of all of the creatures that move along the ground.

9. మగది ఆడుది జతజతలుగా ఓడలోనున్న నోవహు నొద్దకు చేరెను.

9. Male and female of all of them came to Noah and entered the ark. Everything happened exactly as God had commanded Noah.

10. ఏడు దినములైన తరువాత ఆ ప్రవాహజలములు భూమిమీదికి వచ్చెను.

10. After seven days the flood came on the earth.

11. నోవహు వయసుయొక్క ఆరువందల సంవత్సరము రెండవ నెల పదియేడవ దినమున మహాగాధజలముల ఊటలన్నియు ఆ దినమందే విడబడెను, ఆకాశపు తూములు విప్పబడెను.

11. Noah was 600 years old. It was the 17th day of the second month of the year. On that day all of the springs at the bottom of the oceans burst open. God opened the windows of the skies.

12. నలుబది పగళ్లును నలుబది రాత్రులును ప్రచండ వర్షము భూమిమీద కురిసెను.

12. Rain fell on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.

13. ఆ దినమందే నోవహును నోవహు కుమారులగు షేమును హామును యాపెతును నోవహు భార్యయు వారితోకూడ అతని ముగ్గురు కోడండ్రును ఆ ఓడలో ప్రవేశించిరి.

13. On that same day Noah entered the ark together with Shem, Ham and Japheth. Noah's wife and the wives of his three sons also entered it.

14. వీరే కాదు; ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము ప్రతి మృగమును, ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము ప్రతి పశువును, ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము నేలమీద ప్రాకు ప్రతి పురుగును, ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము ప్రతి పక్షియు, నానావిధములైన రెక్కలుగల ప్రతి పిట్టయు ప్రవేశించెను.

14. They had every kind of wild animal with them. They had every kind of livestock. They had every kind of creature that moves along the ground. And they had every kind of bird that flies.

15. జీవాత్మగల సమస్త శరీరులలో రెండేసి రెండేసి ఓడలోనున్న నోవహు నొద్ద ప్రవేశించెను.

15. Pairs of all living creatures that breathe came to Noah and entered the ark.

16. ప్రవేశించినవన్నియు దేవుడు అతని కాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము సమస్త శరీరులలో మగదియు ఆడుదియు ప్రవేశించెను; అప్పుడు యెహోవా ఓడలో అతని మూసివేసెను.

16. The animals going in were male and female of every living thing. Everything happened exactly as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.

17. ఆ జలప్రవాహము నలుబది దినములు భూమిమీద నుండగా, జలములు విస్తరించి ఓడను తేలచేసినందున అది భూమిమీదనుండి పైకి లేచెను.

17. For 40 days the flood kept coming on the earth. As the waters rose higher, they lifted the ark high above the earth.

18. జలములు భూమిమీద ప్రచండముగా ప్రబలి మిక్కిలి విస్తరించినప్పుడు ఓడ నీళ్లమీద నడిచెను.

18. The waters rose higher and higher on the earth. And the ark floated on the water.

19. ఆ ప్రచండ జలములు భూమిమీద అత్యధికముగా ప్రబలినందున ఆకాశమంతటి క్రిందనున్న గొప్ప పర్వతములన్నియు మునిగిపోయెను.

19. The waters rose on the earth until all of the high mountains under the entire sky were covered.

20. పదిహేను మూరల యెత్తున నీళ్లు ప్రచండముగా ప్రబలెను గనుక పర్వతములును మునిగి పోయెను.

20. The waters continued to rise until they covered the mountains by more than 20 feet.

21. అప్పుడు పక్షులేమి పశువులేమి మృగములేమి భూమిమీద ప్రాకు పురుగులేమి భూమిమీద సంచరించు సమస్త శరీరులేమి సమస్త నరులేమి చచ్చిపోయిరి.

21. Every living thing that moved on the earth died. The birds, the livestock and the wild animals died. All of the creatures that fill the earth also died. And so did every human being.

22. పొడి నేలమీదనున్న వాటన్నిటిలోను నాసికారంధ్రములలో జీవాత్మ సంబంధమైన ఊపిరిగలవన్నియు చనిపోయెను.

22. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in it died.

23. నరులతో కూడ పశువులును పురుగులును ఆకాశ పక్షులును నేలమీదనున్న జీవరాసులన్నియు తుడిచి వేయబడెను. అవి భూమిమీద నుండకుండ తుడిచివేయబడెను. నోవహును అతనితో కూడ ఆ ఓడలో నున్నవియు మాత్రము మిగిలియుండెను.

23. Every living thing on the earth was wiped out. People and animals were destroyed. The creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped out. Everything was destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark were left.

24. నూట ఏబది దినముల వరకు నీళ్లు భూమిమీద ప్రచండముగా ప్రబలెను.

24. The waters flooded the earth for 150 days.
