1. యెహోవా ఈ తరమువారిలో నీవే నా యెదుట నీతిమంతుడవై యుండుట చూచితిని గనుక నీవును నీ యింటి వారును ఓడలో ప్రవేశించుడి.

1. AND THE Lord said to Noah, Come with all your household into the ark, for I have seen you to be righteous (upright and in right standing) before Me in this generation. [Ps. 27:5; 33:18, 19; II Pet. 2:9.]

2. పవిత్ర జంతువులలో ప్రతి జాతి పోతులు ఏడును పెంటులు ఏడును, పవిత్రములు కాని జంతువులలో ప్రతి జాతి పోతును పెంటియు రెండును

2. Of every clean beast you shall receive and take with you seven pairs, the male and his mate, and of beasts that are not clean a pair of each kind, the male and his mate, [Lev. 11.]

3. ఆకాశ పక్షులలో ప్రతి జాతి మగవి యేడును ఆడువి యేడును, నీవు భూమి అంతటిమీద సంతతిని జీవముతో కాపాడునట్లు నీయొద్ద ఉంచుకొనుము;

3. Also of the birds of the air seven pairs, the male and the female, to keep seed [their kind] alive over all the earth or land.

4. ఎందుకనగా ఇంకను ఏడు దినములకు నేను నలుబది పగళ్లును నలుబది రాత్రులును భూమిమీద వర్షము కురిపించి, నేను చేసిన సమస్త జీవరాసులను భూమిమీద ఉండకుండ తుడిచివేయుదునని నోవహుతో చెప్పెను.

4. For in seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living substance and thing that I have made I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away from the face of the earth.

5. తనకు యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము నోవహు యావత్తు చేసెను.

5. And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him. [Heb. 11:7.]

6. ఆ జలప్రవాహము భూమిమీదికి వచ్చినప్పుడు నోవహు ఆరువందల యేండ్లవాడు.

6. Noah was 600 years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth or land.

7. అప్పుడు నోవహును అతనితో కూడ అతని కుమారులును అతని భార్యయు అతని కోడండ్రును ఆ ప్రవాహజలములను తప్పించుకొనుటకై ఆ ఓడలో ప్రవేశించిరి.

7. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. [Matt. 24:38; Luke 17:27.]

8. దేవుడు నోవహునకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము పవిత్ర జంతువులలోను అపవిత్ర జంతువులలోను, పక్షులలోను నేలను ప్రాకు వాటన్నిటిలోను,

8. Of clean animals and of animals that are not clean, and of birds and fowls, and of everything that creeps on the ground,

9. మగది ఆడుది జతజతలుగా ఓడలోనున్న నోవహు నొద్దకు చేరెను.

9. There went in two and two with Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10. ఏడు దినములైన తరువాత ఆ ప్రవాహజలములు భూమిమీదికి వచ్చెను.

10. And after the seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth or land.

11. నోవహు వయసుయొక్క ఆరువందల సంవత్సరము రెండవ నెల పదియేడవ దినమున మహాగాధజలముల ఊటలన్నియు ఆ దినమందే విడబడెను, ఆకాశపు తూములు విప్పబడెను.

11. In the year 600 of Noah's life, in the seventeenth day of the second month, that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and burst forth, and the windows and floodgates of the heavens were opened.

12. నలుబది పగళ్లును నలుబది రాత్రులును ప్రచండ వర్షము భూమిమీద కురిసెను.

12. And it rained upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13. ఆ దినమందే నోవహును నోవహు కుమారులగు షేమును హామును యాపెతును నోవహు భార్యయు వారితోకూడ అతని ముగ్గురు కోడండ్రును ఆ ఓడలో ప్రవేశించిరి.

13. On the very same day Noah and Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark,

14. వీరే కాదు; ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము ప్రతి మృగమును, ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము ప్రతి పశువును, ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము నేలమీద ప్రాకు ప్రతి పురుగును, ఆయా జాతుల ప్రకారము ప్రతి పక్షియు, నానావిధములైన రెక్కలుగల ప్రతి పిట్టయు ప్రవేశించెను.

14. They and every [wild] beast according to its kind, all the livestock according to their kinds, every moving thing that creeps on the land according to its kind, and every fowl according to its kind, every winged thing of every sort.

15. జీవాత్మగల సమస్త శరీరులలో రెండేసి రెండేసి ఓడలోనున్న నోవహు నొద్ద ప్రవేశించెను.

15. And they went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there were the breath and spirit of life.

16. ప్రవేశించినవన్నియు దేవుడు అతని కాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము సమస్త శరీరులలో మగదియు ఆడుదియు ప్రవేశించెను; అప్పుడు యెహోవా ఓడలో అతని మూసివేసెను.

16. And they that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded [Noah]; and the Lord shut him in and closed [the door] round about him.

17. ఆ జలప్రవాహము నలుబది దినములు భూమిమీద నుండగా, జలములు విస్తరించి ఓడను తేలచేసినందున అది భూమిమీదనుండి పైకి లేచెను.

17. The flood [that is, the downpour of rain] was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased and bore up the ark, and it was lifted [high] above the land.

18. జలములు భూమిమీద ప్రచండముగా ప్రబలి మిక్కిలి విస్తరించినప్పుడు ఓడ నీళ్లమీద నడిచెను.

18. And the waters became mighty and increased greatly upon the land, and the ark went [gently floating] upon the surface of the waters.

19. ఆ ప్రచండ జలములు భూమిమీద అత్యధికముగా ప్రబలినందున ఆకాశమంతటి క్రిందనున్న గొప్ప పర్వతములన్నియు మునిగిపోయెను.

19. And the waters prevailed so exceedingly and were so mighty upon the earth that all the high hills under the whole sky were covered.

20. పదిహేను మూరల యెత్తున నీళ్లు ప్రచండముగా ప్రబలెను గనుక పర్వతములును మునిగి పోయెను.

20. [In fact] the waters became fifteen cubits higher, as the high hills were covered.

21. అప్పుడు పక్షులేమి పశువులేమి మృగములేమి భూమిమీద ప్రాకు పురుగులేమి భూమిమీద సంచరించు సమస్త శరీరులేమి సమస్త నరులేమి చచ్చిపోయిరి.

21. And all flesh ceased to breathe that moved upon the earth--fowls and birds, [tame] animals, [wild] beasts, all swarming and creeping things that swarm and creep upon the land, and all mankind.

22. పొడి నేలమీదనున్న వాటన్నిటిలోను నాసికారంధ్రములలో జీవాత్మ సంబంధమైన ఊపిరిగలవన్నియు చనిపోయెను.

22. Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils were the breath and spirit of life died.

23. నరులతో కూడ పశువులును పురుగులును ఆకాశ పక్షులును నేలమీదనున్న జీవరాసులన్నియు తుడిచి వేయబడెను. అవి భూమిమీద నుండకుండ తుడిచివేయబడెను. నోవహును అతనితో కూడ ఆ ఓడలో నున్నవియు మాత్రము మిగిలియుండెను.

23. God destroyed (blotted out) every living thing that was upon the face of the earth; man and animals and the creeping things and the birds of the heavens were destroyed (blotted out) from the land. Only Noah remained alive, and those who were with him in the ark. [Matt. 24:37-44.]

24. నూట ఏబది దినముల వరకు నీళ్లు భూమిమీద ప్రచండముగా ప్రబలెను.

24. And the waters prevailed [mightily] upon the earth or land 150 days (five months).
