1. దేవుడు నోవహును అతనితోకూడ ఓడలోనున్న సమస్త జంతువులను సమస్త పశువులను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనెను. దేవుడు భూమిమీద వాయువు విసరునట్లు చేయుటవలన నీళ్లు తగ్గిపోయెను.

1. And God remembered Noah, and all the wild beasts and all the tame-beasts that were with him in the ark, and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided;

2. అగాధ జలముల ఊటలును ఆకాశపు తూములును మూయబడెను; ఆకాశమునుండి కురియుచున్న ప్రచండ వర్షము నిలిచి పోయెను.

2. and the fountains of the roaring-deep were shut, and the windows of the heavens, and the heavy rain was restrained from the heavens;

3. అప్పుడు నీళ్లు భూమిమీదనుండి క్రమక్రమముగా తీసి పోవుచుండెను; నూట ఏబది దినములైన తరువాత నీళ్లు తగ్గిపోగా

3. and the waters returned from off the earth they went on returning, and so the waters decreased at the end of a hundred and fifty days.

4. ఏడవ నెల పదియేడవ దినమున ఓడ అరారాతు కొండలమీద నిలిచెను.

4. And the ark rested, in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.

5. నీళ్లు పదియవ నెలవరకు క్రమముగా తగ్గుచు వచ్చెను. పదియవ నెల మొదటి దినమున కొండల శిఖరములు కనబడెను.

5. But, the waters went on decreasing, until the tenth month, in the tenth month , on the first of the month, were seen the tops of the mountains.

6. నలుబది దినములైన తరువాత నోవహు తాను చేసిన ఓడ కిటికీ తీసి

6. And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark that he had made;

7. ఒక కాకిని వెలుపలికి పోవిడిచెను. అది బయటికి వెళ్లి భూమిమీదనుండి నీళ్లు ఇంకిపోవువరకు ఇటు అటు తిరుగుచుండెను.

7. and sent forth a raven, and it kept going forth and returning, until the drying up of the waters from off the earth.

8. మరియు నీళ్లు నేలమీదనుండి తగ్గినవో లేదో చూచుటకు అతడు తన యొద్దనుండి నల్ల పావురమొకటి వెలుపలికి పోవిడిచెను.

8. And he sent forth a dove from him, to see whether the waters had abated, from off the face of the ground;

9. నీళ్లు భూమి అంతటి మీద నున్నందున తన అరకాలు నిలుపుటకు దానికి స్థలము దొరకలేదు గనుక ఓడలోనున్న అతనియొద్దకు తిరిగి వచ్చెను. అప్పుడతడు చెయ్యి చాపి దాని పట్టుకొని ఓడలోనికి తీసికొనెను.

9. but the dove found no resting-place for the sole of her foot so she returned unto him into the ark, for, waters, were on the face of all the earth; and he put forth his hand and took her, and brought her in unto him, into the ark.

10. అతడు మరి యేడు దినములు తాళి మరల ఆ నల్ల పావురమును ఓడలోనుండి వెలుపలికి విడిచెను.

10. Then stayed he yet seven days more, and, again sent forth the dove out of the ark.

11. సాయంకాలమున అది అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చినప్పుడు త్రుంచబడిన ఓలీవచెట్టు ఆకు దాని నోటనుండెను గనుక నీళ్లు భూమిమీదనుండి తగ్గిపోయెనని నోవహునకు తెలిసెను.

11. And the dove came in unto him at eventide, and lo! a newly sprouted olive-leaf, in her mouth, so Noah knew that the waters had abated from off the earth.

12. అతడింక మరి యేడు దినములు తాళి ఆ పావురమును వెలుపలికి విడిచెను. ఆ తరువాత అది అతని యొద్దకు తిరిగి రాలేదు.

12. And he stayed yet seven days more, and sent forth the dove, but she returned not again unto him any more.

13. మరియు ఆరువందల ఒకటవ సంవత్సరము మొదటినెల తొలి దినమున నీళ్లు భూమిమీదనుండి యింకిపోయెను. నోవహు ఓడ కప్పు తీసి చూచినప్పుడు నేల ఆరియుండెను.

13. So it came to pass in the six hundred and first year at the beginning, on the first of the month, that the waters had dried up from off the earth, and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked and lo! the face of the ground was dried.

14. రెండవ నెల యిరువది యేడవ దినమున భూమియెండి యుండెను.

14. And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, was the earth dry.

15. అప్పుడు దేవుడు

15. So then, God spake to Noah, saying:

16. నీవును నీతోకూడ నీ భార్యయు నీ కుమారులును నీ కోడండ్రును ఓడలోనుండి బయటికి రండి.

16. Come forth out of the ark, thou and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy song wives with thee.

17. పక్షులు పశువులు భూమిమీద ప్రాకు ప్రతి జాతి పురుగులు మొదలైన సమస్తశరీరులలో నీతో కూడనున్న ప్రతి జంతువును వెంటబెట్టుకొని వెలుపలికి రావలెను. అవి భూమిమీద బహుగా విస్తరించి భూమిమీద ఫలించి అభివృద్ధి పొందవలెనని నోవహుతో చెప్పెను.

17. All the living creatures that are with thee of all flesh among birds, and among beasts, and among all the creeping things that creep on the earth, bring forth with thee, and they shall swarm in the earth, and be fruitful and multiply, on the earth.

18. కాబట్టి నోవహును అతనితో కూడ అతని కుమారులును అతని భార్యయు అతని కోడండ్రును బయటికి వచ్చిరి.

18. So Noah came forth, and his sons and his wife, and his sons wives with him:

19. ప్రతి జంతువును ప్రాకు ప్రతి పురుగును ప్రతి పిట్టయు భూమిమీద సంచరించునవన్నియు వాటి వాటి జాతుల చొప్పున ఆ ఓడలోనుండి బయటికి వచ్చెను.

19. All the living creatures, all that move along, and all birds, and all that moveth along over the earth by their families, came forth out of the ark.

20. అప్పుడు నోవహు యెహోవాకు బలిపీఠము కట్టి, పవిత్ర పశువులన్నిటిలోను పవిత్ర పక్షులన్నిటిలోను కొన్ని తీసికొని ఆ పీఠముమీద దహనబలి అర్పించెను.

20. And Noah builded an altar to Yahweh, and took of all the clean beasts and of all the clean birds, and caused ascending Sacrifices to go up on the altar.

21. అప్పుడు యెహోవా ఇంపయిన సువాసన నాఘ్రాణించిఇక మీదట నరులనుబట్టి భూమిని మరల శపించను. ఎందుకనగా నరుల హృదయాలోచన వారి బాల్యమునుండి చెడ్డది. నేనిప్పుడు చేసిన ప్రకారము యికను సమస్త జీవులను సంహరింపను.

21. And Yahweh smelled a satisfying odour, so Yahweh said to himself. I will not, again, curse any more the ground for man's sake, although the device of the heart of man, be wicked from his youth, neither will I again, any more smite every living thing, as I have done.

22. భూమి నిలిచియున్నంతవరకు వెదకాలమును కోతకాలమును శీతోష్ణములును వేసవి శీత కాలములును రాత్రింబగళ్లును ఉండక మానవని తన హృదయములో అనుకొనెను.

22. During all the days of the earth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat and summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease.
