1. ఇదియైన తరువాత అబ్షాలోము ఒక రథమును గుఱ్ఱ ములను సిద్ధపరచి, తనయెదుట పరుగెత్తుటకై యేబదిమంది బంటులను ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.

1. After this, Absalom got a warwagon and horses, and fifty men to run in front of him.

2. ఉదయముననే లేచి బయలుదేరి పట్టణముయొక్క గుమ్మపు మార్గమందు ఒక తట్టున నిలిచి, రాజుచేత తీర్పునొందుటకై వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారెవరైనను వచ్చియుండగా కనిపెట్టి వారిని పిలిచినీవు ఏ ఊరివాడవని యడుగుచుండెనునీ దాసుడనైన నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములలో ఫలానిదానికి చేరిన వాడనని వాడు చెప్పగా

2. He used to get up early and stand beside the way to the gate. When any man had a problem to be decided upon by the king, Absalom would call to him and say, 'What city are you from?' And he would answer, 'Your servant is from one of the families of Israel.'

3. అబ్షాలోమునీ వ్యాజ్యెము సరిగాను న్యాయముగాను ఉన్నదిగాని దానిని విచారించు టకై నియమింపబడిన వాడు రాజునొద్ద ఒకడును లేడని చెప్పి

3. Then Absalom would say to him, 'Your side of the problem is good and right. But there is no man to listen to you for the king.'

4. నేను ఈ దేశమునకు న్యాయాధిపతినైయుండుట యెంత మేలు; అప్పుడు వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారు నాయొద్దకు వత్తురు, నేను వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదునని చెప్పుచు వచ్చెను.

4. And Absalom would say, 'If only I were chosen to be the one to be judge in the land! Then every man who has a problem could come to me. And I would do for him what is right and fair.'

5. మరియు తనకు నమస్కారము చేయుటకై యెవడైనను తన దాపునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు తన చేయి చాపి అతని పట్టుకొని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనుచు వచ్చెను.

5. When a man came near to put his face to the ground in front of him, Absalom would put out his hand and take hold of him and kiss him.

6. తీర్పునొందుటకై రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కందరికి అబ్షాలోము ఈ ప్రకారము చేసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నందరిని తనతట్టు త్రిప్పుకొనెను.

6. He acted this way toward all those of Israel who came with a problem for the king to judge. So Absalom became friends with the men of Israel.

7. నాలుగు సంవత్సరములు జరిగినమీదట అబ్షాలోము రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చినీ దాసుడనైన నేను సిరియ దేశము నందలి గెషూరునందుండగాయెహోవా నన్ను యెరూష లేమునకు తిరిగి రప్పించినయెడల నేను ఆయనను సేవించె దనని మ్రొక్కు కొంటిని గనుక,

7. At the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, 'I ask you, let me go to Hebron and keep my promise that I have promised to the Lord.

8. నేను హెబ్రోనునకు పోయి యెహోవాకు నేను మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబడి తీర్చుకొనుటకు నాకు సెలవిమ్మని మనవిచేయగా

8. For your servant made a promise while I was living at Geshur in Syria, saying, 'If the Lord will bring me again to Jerusalem, then I will serve the Lord.' '

9. రాజుసుఖముగా పొమ్మని సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక అతడు లేచి హెబ్రోనునకు పోయెను.

9. And the king said to him, 'Go in peace.' So he got up and went to Hebron.

10. అబ్షాలోముమీరు బాకానాదము వినునప్పుడు అబ్షాలోము హెబ్రోనులో ఏలుచున్నాడని కేకలు వేయుడని చెప్పుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములన్నిటియొద్దకు వేగుల వారిని పంపెను.

10. But Absalom sent men to go in secret through all the families of Israel. He said to them, 'As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, then say, 'Absalom is king at Hebron.' '

11. విందునకు పిలువబడియుండి రెండువందల మంది యెరూషలేములోనుండి అబ్షాలోముతో కూడ బయలుదేరి యుండిరి, వీరు ఏమియు తెలియక యథార్థమైన మనస్సుతో వెళ్లియుండిరి.

11. With Absalom went 200 men from Jerusalem. They had been asked to come, and did not know what Absalom had planned.

12. మరియు బలి అర్పింపవలెనని యుండి అబ్షాలోము గీలోనీయుడైన అహీతో పెలు అను దావీదుయొక్క మంత్రిని గీలో అను అతని ఊరినుండి పిలిపించి యుండెను. అబ్షాలోము దగ్గరకు వచ్చిన జనము మరి మరి యెక్కువగుటచేత కుట్ర బహు బలమాయెను.

12. While Absalom was giving gifts on the altar in worship, he sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, from his city Giloh. He was the man who talked with David about what to do. The plans against David became strong. For more and more people joined Absalom.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అబ్షాలోముపక్షము వహించిరని దావీదునకు వర్తమానము రాగా

13. Then a man came to David with news, saying, 'The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom.'

14. దావీదు యెరూషలేము నందున్న తన సేవకులకందరికి ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను అబ్షాలోము చేతిలోనుండి మనము తప్పించుకొని రక్షణ నొందలేము; మనము పారిపోదము రండి, అతడు హఠాత్తుగా వచ్చి మనలను పట్టుకొనకను, మనకు కీడుచేయకను, పట్టణమును కత్తివాత హతము చేయకను ఉండునట్లు మనము త్వరగా వెళ్లిపోదము రండి.

14. David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, 'Get up and let us run. Or else none of us will be safe from Absalom. Hurry and go, or he will be quick to catch us and bring trouble upon us. He would destroy the city with the sword.'

15. అందుకు రాజు సేవకులు ఈలాగు మనవి చేసిరిచిత్తగించుము; నీ దాసుల మైన మేము మా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవు సెల విచ్చినట్లు చేయుటకు సిద్ధముగా నున్నాము.

15. The king's servants said to him, 'See, your servants are ready to do whatever my lord the king chooses.'

16. అప్పుడు రాజు నగరిని కనిపెట్టుటకై ఉపపత్నులగు పదిమందిని ఉంచిన మీదట తన యింటివారినందరిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని కాలినడకను బయలుదేరెను.

16. So the king left with all those of his house. But he left ten of his women to take care of the house.

17. రాజును అతని యింటి వారును బయలుదేరి బెత్మెర్హాకుకు వచ్చి బసచేసిరి.

17. The king left with all the people, and they stopped at the last house.

18. అతని సేవకులందరును అతని యిరుపార్శ్వముల నడిచిరి; కెరే తీయులందరును పెలేతీయులందరును గాతునుండి వచ్చిన ఆరువందల మంది గిత్తీయులును రాజునకు ముందుగా నడచుచుండిరి.

18. All his servants passed by him, and all the Cherethites, Pelethites, Gittites, and 600 men who had come with him from Gath. They all passed by the king.

19. రాజు గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయిని కనుగొనినీవు నివాసస్థలము కోరు పరదేశివై యున్నావు; నీవెందుకు మాతో కూడ వచ్చుచున్నావు? నీవు తిరిగి పోయి రాజున్న స్థలమున ఉండుము.

19. Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, 'Why do you go with us also? Return and stay with the king. For you are from another land and have been driven from your home.

20. నిన్ననే వచ్చిన నీకు, ఎక్కడికి పోవుదుమో తెలియకయున్న మాతోకూడ ఈ తిరుగులాట యెందుకు? నీవు తిరిగి నీ సహోదరులను తోడుకొని పొమ్ము; కృపాసత్యములు నీకు తోడుగా ఉండును గాక యని చెప్పగా

20. You came only yesterday. Should I make you go with us today, when I do not know where I am going? Return with your brothers. May loving-kindness and faith be with you.'

21. ఇత్తయినేను చచ్చినను బ్రదికినను, యెహోవా జీవముతోడు నా యేలిన వాడవును రాజవునగు నీ జీవముతోడు, ఏ స్థలమందు నా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవుందువో ఆ స్థలమందే నీ దాసుడనైన నేనుందునని రాజుతో మనవిచేసెను.

21. But Ittai said to the king, 'As the Lord lives, and as my lord the king lives, your servant will be where my lord the king may be, in death or in life.'

22. అందుకు దావీదుఆలాగైతే నీవు రావచ్చునని ఇత్తయితో సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయియును అతని వారందరును అతని కుటుంబికులందరును సాగిపోయిరి.

22. So David said to him, 'Go then, pass on.' And Ittai the Gittite passed on, with all his men and all the little ones who were with him.

23. వారు సాగిపోవు చుండగా జనులందరు బహుగా ఏడ్చుచుండిరి, ఈ ప్రకారము వారందరు రాజుతోకూడ కిద్రోనువాగు దాటి అరణ్యమార్గమున ప్రయాణమై పోయిరి.

23. All the country was crying with a loud voice as all the people passed by. The king crossed the river Kidron, and all the people went on toward the desert.

24. సాదోకును లేవీయులందరును దేవుని నిబంధన మందసమును మోయుచు అతనియొద్ద ఉండిరి. వారు దేవుని మందసమును దింపగా అబ్యాతారు వచ్చి పట్టణములోనుండి జనులందరును దాటిపోవు వరకు నిలిచెను.

24. Zadok came also, with all the Levites who carried the special box with the Law of God. Abiathar had the special box of God put down until all the people had passed out of the city.

25. అప్పుడు రాజు సాదోకును పిలిచిదేవుని మందసమును పట్టణములోనికి తిరిగి తీసికొనిపొమ్ము; యెహోవా దృష్టికి నేను అనుగ్రహము పొందినయెడల ఆయన నన్ను తిరిగి రప్పించి

25. The king said to Zadok, 'Return the special box of God to the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, He will have me return. And He will have me see both it and His family.

26. దానిని తన నివాసస్థానమును నాకు చూపించును; నీయందు నాకిష్టము లేదని ఆయన సెలవిచ్చినయెడల ఆయన చిత్తము, నీ దృష్టికి అనుకూలమైనట్టు నాయెడల జరిగించుమని నేను చెప్పుదునని పలికి

26. But if He says, 'I have no joy in you,' then here I am. Let Him do to me what He thinks is good.'

27. యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతో ఇట్లనెనుసాదోకూ, నీవు దీర్ఘదర్శివి కావా? శుభమొంది నీవును నీ కుమారుడగు అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారునకు పుట్టిన యోనాతాను అను మీ యిద్దరు కుమారులును పట్టణమునకు పోవలెను.

27. And the king said to Zadok the religious leader, 'Are you not a man who speaks for God? Return to the city in peace with Abiathar and your two sons, your son Ahimaaz and Abiathar's son Jonathan.

28. ఆలకించుము; నీయొద్దనుండి నాకు రూఢియైన వర్తమానము వచ్చువరకు నేను అరణ్య మందలి రేవులదగ్గర నిలిచి యుందును.

28. See, I will wait in the desert by the place where the river is crossed, until I hear from you.'

29. కాబట్టి సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును దేవుని మందసమును యెరూషలేమునకు తిరిగి తీసికొనిపోయి అక్కడ నిలిచిరి.

29. So Zadok and Abiathar returned the special box of God to Jerusalem and stayed there.

30. అయితే దావీదు ఒలీవచెట్ల కొండ యెక్కుచు ఏడ్చుచు, తల కప్పుకొని పాదరక్షలులేకుండ కాలినడకను వెళ్ళెను; అతనియొద్దనున్న జనులందరును తలలు కప్పుకొని యేడ్చుచు కొండ యెక్కిరి.

30. David went up the Mount of Olives and cried as he went. His head was covered and he wore no shoes. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up crying as they went.

31. అంతలో ఒకడు వచ్చి, అబ్షాలోము చేసిన కుట్రలో అహీతోపెలు చేరియున్నాడని దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా దావీదుయెహోవా అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడ గొట్టుమని ప్రార్థన చేసెను.

31. Now David was told, 'Ahithophel is among those who are making plans with Absalom.' And David said, 'O Lord, I pray, make the words of Ahithophel foolish.'

32. దేవుని ఆరాధించు స్థలమొకటి ఆ కొండమీద ఉండెను. వారు అచ్చటికి రాగా అర్కీయుడైన హూషై పై వస్త్రములు చింపుకొని తలమీద ధూళి పోసికొనివచ్చి రాజును దర్శనము చేసెను.

32. As David was coming to the top of the mountain, where God was worshiped, Hushai the Archite met him. His coat was torn and there was dust on his head.

33. రాజునీవు నాతో కూడ వచ్చినయెడల నాకు భారముగా ఉందువు;

33. David said to him, 'If you go with me, you will be trouble for me.

34. నీవు పట్టణమునకు తిరిగి పోయిరాజా, యింతవరకు నీ తండ్రికి నేను సేవచేసినట్లు ఇకను నీకు సేవచేసెదనని అబ్షాలోముతో చెప్పినయెడల నీవు నా పక్షపువాడవై యుండి అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడగొట్ట గలవు.

34. But if you return to the city, you can bring trouble to the words of Ahithophel for me. Say to Absalom, 'I will be your servant, O king. I will work for you as I have worked for your father in the past.' Then you can make the words of Ahithophel foolish for me.

35. అక్కడ యాజకులైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును నీకు సహాయకులుగా నుందురు; కాబట్టి రాజనగరియందు ఏదైనను జరుగుట నీకు వినబడినయెడల యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతోను అబ్యాతారుతోను దాని చెప్పవలెను.

35. Will not Zadok and Abiathar the religious leaders be there with you? Tell Zadok and Abiathar whatever you hear from the king's house.

36. సాదోకు కుమారుడైన అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారు కుమారు డైన యోనాతాను అనువారి ఇద్దరు కుమారులు అచ్చట నున్నారు. నీకు వినబడినదంతయు వారిచేత నాయొద్దకు వర్తమానము చేయుమని చెప్పి అతనిని పంపివేసెను.

36. Their two sons are with them there, Zadok's son Ahimaaz and Abiathar's son Jonathan. By them you can send me news of all that you hear.'

37. దావీదు స్నేహితుడైన హూషై పట్టణమునకు వచ్చు చుండగా అబ్షాలోమును యెరూషలేము చేరెను.

37. So David's friend Hushai came into Jerusalem, just as Absalom was coming into the city.
