1. యెహోవా తన్ను సౌలుచేతిలోనుండియు, తనశత్రువులందరి చేతిలోనుండియు తప్పించిన దినమున దావీదు ఈ గీత వాక్యములను చెప్పియెహోవాను స్తోత్రించెను. అతడిట్లనెను.

1. When the LORD saved David from Saul and his other enemies, David sang this song to the LORD:

2. యెహోవా నా శైలము, నా కోట, నా రక్షకుడు.

2. The LORD is my protector; he is my strong fortress.

3. నా దుర్గము, నేను ఆయనను ఆశ్రయించుదును. నా కేడెము నా రక్షణశృంగమునా ఉన్నతదుర్గము నా ఆశ్రయస్థానము. ఆయనే నాకు రక్షకుడుబలాత్కారులనుండి నన్ను రక్షించువాడవు నీవే.

3. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe. He is my savior; he protects me and saves me from violence.

5. The waves of death were all around me; the waves of destruction rolled over me.

6. The danger of death was around me, and the grave set its trap for me.

7. నా శ్రమలో నేను యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱ పెట్టితిని నా దేవుని ప్రార్థన చేసితిని ఆయన తన ఆలయములో ఆలకించి నా ప్రార్థన అంగీకరించెనునా మొఱ్ఱ ఆయన చెవులలో చొచ్చెను.

7. In my trouble I called to the LORD; I called to my God for help. In his temple he heard my voice; he listened to my cry for help.

8. అప్పుడు భూమి కంపించి అదిరెనుపరమండలపు పునాదులు వణకెనుఆయన కోపింపగా అవి కంపించెను.

8. Then the earth trembled and shook; the foundations of the sky rocked and quivered because God was angry!

9. ఆయన నాసికారంధ్రములలోనుండి పొగ పుట్టెనుఆయన నోటనుండి అగ్నివచ్చి దహించెనునిప్పు కణములను రాజబెట్టెను.

9. Smoke poured out of his nostrils, a consuming flame and burning coals from his mouth.

10. మేఘములను వంచి ఆయన వచ్చెనుఆయన పాదముల క్రింద గాఢాంధకారము కమ్మియుండెను.

10. He tore the sky open and came down, with a dark cloud under his feet.

11. కెరూబుమీద ఎక్కి ఆయన యెగిరి వచ్చెను. గాలి రెక్కలమీద ప్రత్యక్షమాయెను.

11. He flew swiftly on his winged creature; he traveled on the wings of the wind.

12. గుడారమువలె అంధకారము తనచుట్టు వ్యాపింపజేసెను. నీటిమబ్బుల సముదాయములను, ఆకాశపు దట్టపు మేఘములను వ్యాపింపజేసెను.

12. He covered himself with darkness; thick clouds, full of water, surrounded him;

13. ఆయన సన్నిధికాంతిలోనుండి నిప్పుకణములు పుట్టెను.

13. burning coals flamed up from the lightning before him.

14. యెహోవా ఆకాశమందు గర్జించెను సర్వోన్నతుడు ఉరుముధ్వని పుట్టించెను.

14. Then the LORD thundered from the sky, and the voice of Almighty God was heard.

15. తనబాణములను ప్రయోగించి శత్రువులను చెదరగొట్టెనుమెరుపులను ప్రయోగించి వారిని తరిమివేసెనుయెహోవా గద్దింపునకుతన నాసికారంధ్రముల శ్వాసము వడిగావిడువగా ఆయన గద్దింపునకుప్రవాహముల అడుగుభాగములు కనబడెను

15. He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; with flashes of lightning he sent them running.

16. భూమి పునాదులు బయలుపడెను.

16. The floor of the ocean was laid bare, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered when the LORD rebuked his enemies and roared at them in anger.

17. ఉన్నతస్థలములనుండి చెయ్యి చాపి ఆయన నన్ను పట్టుకొనెనునన్ను పట్టుకొని మహా జలరాసులలోనుండి తీసెను.

17. The LORD reached down from above and took hold of me; he pulled me out of the deep waters.

18. బలవంతులగు పగవారు, నన్ను ద్వేషించువారు, నాకంటె బలిష్ఠులై యుండగా వారి వశమునుండి ఆయన నన్ను రక్షించెను.

18. He rescued me from my powerful enemies and from all those who hate me--- they were too strong for me.

19. ఆపత్కాలమందు వారు నామీదికి రాగా యెహోవా నన్ను ఆదుకొనెను. విశాలమైన స్థలమునకు నన్ను తోడుకొని వచ్చెను.

19. When I was in trouble, they attacked me, but the LORD protected me.

20. నేను ఆయనకు ఇష్టుడను గనుక ఆయన నన్ను తప్పిం చెను.

20. He helped me out of danger; he saved me because he was pleased with me.

21. నా నీతినిబట్టి ఆయన నాకు ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చెను నా నిర్దోషత్వమునుబట్టియే నాకు ప్రతిఫల మిచ్చెను.

21. The LORD rewards me because I do what is right; he blesses me because I am innocent.

22. యెహోవా మార్గములను నేను అనుసరించుచున్నాను. భక్తిహీనుడనై నా దేవుని విడచినవాడను కాను.

22. I have obeyed the law of the LORD; I have not turned away from my God.

23. ఆయన న్యాయవిధుల నన్నిటిని నేను లక్ష్యపెట్టుచున్నాను ఆయన కట్టడలను త్రోసివేసిన వాడనుకాను.

23. I have observed all his laws; I have not disobeyed his commands.

24. దోషక్రియలు నేను చేయనొల్లకుంటిని ఆయన దృష్టికి యథార్థుడనైతిని.

24. He knows that I am faultless, that I have kept myself from doing wrong.

25. కావున నేను నిర్దోషినై యుండుట యెహోవా చూచెను తన దృష్టికి కనబడిన నా చేతుల నిర్దోషత్వమునుబట్టి నాకు ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చెను.

25. And so he rewards me because I do what is right, because he knows that I am innocent.

26. దయగలవారియెడల నీవు దయ చూపించుదువు యథార్థవంతులయెడల నీవు యథార్థవంతుడవుగానుందువు.

26. O LORD, you are faithful to those who are faithful to you, and completely good to those who are perfect.

27. సద్భావముగల వారియెడల నీవు సద్భావము చూపుదువు మూర్ఖులయెడల నీవు వికటముగా నుందువు.

27. You are pure to those who are pure, but hostile to those who are wicked.

28. శ్రమపడువారిని నీవు రక్షించెదవు గర్విష్ఠులకు విరోధివై వారిని అణచి వేసెదవు

28. You save those who are humble, but you humble those who are proud.

29. యెహోవా, నీవు నాకు దీపమై యున్నావు యెహోవా చీకటిని నాకు వెలుగుగా చేయును.

29. You, LORD, are my light; you dispel my darkness.

30. నీ సహాయముచేత నేను సైన్యములను జయింతును నా దేవుని సహాయమువలన నేను ప్రాకారములను దాటుదును.

30. You give me strength to attack my enemies and power to overcome their defenses.

31. దేవుడు యథార్థవంతుడు యెహోవా వాక్కు నిర్మలము ఆయన శరణుజొచ్చువారికందరికి ఆయన కేడెము.

31. This God---how perfect are his deeds, how dependable his words! He is like a shield for all who seek his protection.

32. యెహోవా తప్ప దేవుడేడి? మన దేవుడు తప్ప ఆశ్రయదుర్గమేది?

32. The LORD alone is God; God alone is our defense.

33. దేవుడు నాకు బలమైన కోటగా ఉన్నాడు ఆయన తన మార్గమునందు యథార్థవంతులను నడి పించును.

33. This God is my strong refuge; he makes my pathway safe.

34. ఆయన నా కాళ్లు జింకకాళ్లవలె చేయును ఎత్తయిన స్థలములమీద నన్ను నిలుపును.

34. He makes me sure-footed as a deer; he keeps me safe on the mountains.

35. నా చేతులకు యుద్ధముచేయ నేర్పువాడు ఆయనే నా బాహువులు ఇత్తడి విల్లును ఎక్కు బెట్టును.

35. He trains me for battle, so that I can use the strongest bow.

36. నీవు నీ రక్షణ కేడెమును నాకు అందించుదువు నీ సాత్వికము నన్ను గొప్పచేయును.

36. O LORD, you protect me and save me; your help has made me great.

37. నా పాదములకు చోటు విశాలపరచుదువు నా చీలమండలు బెణకలేదు.

37. You have kept me from being captured, and I have never fallen.

38. నా శత్రువులను తరిమి నాశనము చేయుదును వారిని నశింపజేయువరకు నేను తిరుగను.

38. I pursue my enemies and defeat them; I do not stop until I destroy them.

39. నేను వారిని మింగివేయుదును వారిని తుత్తినియలుగా కొట్టుదును వారు నా పాదముల క్రింద పడి లేవలేకయుందురు.

39. I strike them down, and they cannot rise; they lie defeated before me.

40. యుద్ధమునకు బలము నీవు నన్ను ధరింపజేయుదువు నామీదికి లేచినవారిని నీవు అణచివేయుదువు.

40. You give me strength for the battle and victory over my enemies.

41. నా శత్రువులను వెనుకకు మళ్లచేయుదువు నన్ను ద్వేషించువారిని నేను నిర్మూలము చేయుదును.

41. You make my enemies run from me; I destroy those who hate me.

42. వారు ఎదురు చూతురు గాని రక్షించువాడు ఒకడును లేకపోవును వారు యెహోవాకొరకు కనిపెట్టుకొనినను ఆయన వారికి ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యకుండును.

42. They look for help, but no one saves them; they call to the LORD, but he does not answer.

43. నేల ధూళివలె వారిని నలుగగొట్టెదను పొడిగా వారిని కొట్టెదను వీధిలోని పెంటవలె నేను వారిని పారపోసి అణగద్రొక్కెదను.

43. I crush them, and they become like dust; I trample on them like mud in the streets.

44. నా ప్రజల కలహములలో పడకుండ నీవు నన్నువిడిపించితివి జనులకు అధికారిగా నన్ను నిలిపితివి నేను ఎరుగని జనులు నన్ను సేవించెదరు.

44. You saved me from my rebellious people and maintained my rule over the nations; people I did not know have now become my subjects.

45. అన్యులు నాకు లోబడినట్టు వేషము వేయుదురు వారు నన్నుగూర్చి వినిన మాత్రముచేత నాకు విధేయులగుదురు

45. Foreigners bow before me; when they hear me, they obey.

46. అన్యులు దుర్బలులై వణకుచు తమ దుర్గములను విడచి వచ్చెదరు.

46. They lose their courage and come trembling from their fortresses.

47. యెహోవా జీవముగలవాడు నా ఆశ్రయదుర్గమైనవాడు స్తోత్రార్హుడు నాకు రక్షణాశ్రయ దుర్గమైన దేవుడు మహోన్నతుడగును గాక

47. The LORD lives! Praise my defender! Proclaim the greatness of the strong God who saves me!

48. ఆయన నా నిమిత్తము ప్రతిదండన చేయు దేవుడు ఆయన నా నిమిత్తము పగ తీర్చు దేవుడు జనములను నాకు లోపరచువాడు ఆయనే.

48. He gives me victory over my enemies; he subdues the nations under me

49. ఆయనే నా శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి నన్ను విడిపించును నామీదికి లేచినవారికంటె ఎత్తుగా నీవు నన్ను హెచ్చించుదువు. బలాత్కారము చేయువారి చేతిలోనుండి నీవు నన్ను విడిపించుదువు.

49. and saves me from my foes. O LORD, you give me victory over my enemies and protect me from violent men.

50. అందువలన యెహోవా, అన్యజనులలో నేను నిన్ను ఘనపరచెదను. నీ నామకీర్తన గానముచేసెదను.

50. And so I praise you among the nations; I sing praises to you.

51. నీవు నియమించిన రాజునకు గొప్ప రక్షణ కలుగ జేయువాడవు అభిషేకించిన దావీదునకును అతని సంతానమున కును నిత్యము కనికరము చూపువాడవు.

51. God gives great victories to his king; he shows constant love to the one he has chosen, to David and his descendants forever.
