1. సౌలు కుటుంబికులకును దావీదు కుటుంబికులకును బహుకాలము యుద్ధము జరుగగా దావీదు అంత కంతకు ప్రబలెను; సౌలు కుటుంబము అంతకంతకు నీరసిల్లెను.

1. There was then long warre betweene the house of Saul and the house of Dauid: but Dauid waxed stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker.

2. హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునకు పుట్టిన కుమారులెవరనగా, అమ్నోను అను అతని జ్యేష్ఠపుత్రుడు యెజ్రెయేలీయు రాలగు అహీనోయమువలన పుట్టెను.

2. And vnto Dauid were children borne in Hebron: and his eldest sonne was Amnon of Ahinoam the Izreelite,

3. కిల్యాబు అను రెండవవాడు కర్మెలీయుడగు నాబాలు భార్యయైన అబీగ యీలు వలన పుట్టెను. మూడవవాడైన అబ్షాలోము గెషూరు రాజగు తల్మయి కుమార్తెయగు మయకావలన పుట్టెను.

3. And his seconde, was Chileab of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite: and the third, Absalom the sonne of Maacah the daughter of Talmai the King of Geshur,

4. నాలుగవవాడగు అదోనీయా హగ్గీతువలన పుట్టెను. అయిదవవాడగు షెఫట్య అబీటలువలన పుట్టెను.

4. And the fourth, Adoniiah the sonne of Haggith, and the fifth, Shephatiah the sonne of Abital,

5. ఆరవవాడగు ఇత్రెయాము దావీదునకు భార్యయగు ఎగ్లావలన పుట్టెను. వీరు హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునకు పుట్టిన కుమారులు.

5. And the sixt, Ithream by Eglah Dauids wife: these were borne to Dauid in Hebron.

6. సౌలు కుటుంబికులకును దావీదు కుటుంబికులకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండగా అబ్నేరు సౌలు కుటుంబికులకు బహు సహాయముచేసెను.

6. Nowe while there was warre betweene the house of Saul and the house of Dauid, Abner made all his power for the house of Saul.

7. అయ్యా కుమార్తెయైన రిస్పా యను ఒక ఉపపత్ని సౌలుకుండెనునా తండ్రికి ఉప పత్నియగు దానిని నీ వెందుకు కూడితివని ఇష్బోషెతు అబ్నేరును అడుగగా

7. And Saul had a concubine named Rizpah, the daughter of Aiiah. And Ish-bosheth sayde to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in to my fathers concubine?

8. అబ్నేరును ఇష్బోషెతు అడిగిన మాటకు బహుగా కోపగించుకొనినిన్ను దావీదు చేతి కప్పగింపక నీ తండ్రియైన సౌలు ఇంటి వారికిని అతని సహోదరులకును అతని స్నేహితులకును ఈవేళ ఉపకారము చేసిన నన్ను యూదావారికి చేరిన కుక్కతో సమానునిగాచేసి యీ దినమున ఒక స్త్రీనిబట్టి నామీద నేరము మోపుదువా?

8. Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dogges head, which against Iudah do shew mercie this day vnto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his neighbours, and haue not deliuered thee into the hande of Dauid, that thou chargest me this day with a fault concerning this woman?

9. యెహోవా దావీదునకు ప్రమాణము చేసిన దానిని అతనిపక్షమున నేను నెరవేర్చనియెడల

9. So doe God to Abner, and more also, except, as the Lord hath sworne to Dauid, euen so I doe to him,

10. దేవుడు నాకు గొప్ప అపాయము కలుగజేయును గాక; సౌలు ఇంటివారి వశము కాకుండ రాజ్యమును తప్పించి దాను మొదలుకొని బెయేర్షబావరకు దావీదు సింహాసనమును ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీదను యూదా వారి మీదను నేను స్థిరపరచెదననెను.

10. To remoue the kingdome from the house of Saul, that the throne of Dauid may be stablished ouer Israel, and ouer Iudah, euen from Dan to Beer-sheba.

11. కావున ఇష్బోషెతు అబ్నేరునకు భయపడి యిక ఏ మాటయు పలుకలేక పోయెను.

11. And he durst no more answere to Abner: for he feared him.

12. అబ్నేరు తన తరపున దావీదునొద్దకు దూతలను పంపిఈ దేశము ఎవరిది? నీవు నాతో నిబంధనచేసినయెడల నేను నీకు సహాయము చేసి, ఇశ్రాయేలు వారినందరిని నీ తట్టు త్రిప్పెదనని వర్తమానము పంపగా దావీదుమంచిది; నేను నీతో నిబంధన చేసెదను.

12. Then Abner sent messengers to Dauid on his behalfe, saying, Whose is the lande? who should also say, Make couenant with me, and beholde, mine hande shalbe with thee, to bring all Israel vnto thee.

13. అయితే నీవుఒకపని చేయవలెను; దర్శనమునకు వచ్చునప్పుడు సౌలు కుమార్తెయగు మీకాలును నా యొద్దకు తోడుకొని రావలెను; లేదా నీకు దర్శనము దొరకదనెను.

13. Who saide, Well, I will make a couenant with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, that thou see not my face except thou bring Michal Sauls daughter when thou commest to see me.

14. మరియు దావీదు సౌలు కుమారుడగు ఇష్బోషెతునొద్దకు దూతలను పంపిఫిలిష్తీయులలో నూరుమంది ముందోళ్లను తెచ్చి నేను పెండ్లి చేసికొనిన మీకాలును నాకప్పగింపుమని చెప్పుడనగా

14. Then Dauid sent messengers to Ish-bosheth Sauls sonne, saying, Deliuer me my wife Michal, which I marryed for an hundreth foreskinnes of the Philistims.

15. ఇష్బోషెతు దూతను పంపి, లాయీషు కుమారుడగు పల్తీయేలు అను దాని పెనిమిటియొద్దనుండి మీకాలును పిలువనంపెను.

15. And Ish-bosheth sent, and tooke her from her husband Phaltiel the sonne of Laish.

16. దాని పెనిమిటి బహూరీమువరకు దాని వెనుక ఏడ్చుచు రాగా అబ్నేరునీవు తిరిగి పొమ్మనెను గనుక అతడు వెళ్లిపోయెను.

16. And her husband went with her, and came weeping behinde her, vnto Bahurim: then saide Abner vnto him, Go, and returne. So he returned.

17. అంతలో అబ్నేరు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారి పెద్దలను పిలిపించిదావీదు మిమ్మును ఏలవలెనని మీరు ఇంతకు మునుపు కోరితిరి గదా

17. And Abner had communication with the Elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for Dauid in times past, that he might be your King.

18. నా సేవకుడైన దావీదుచేత నా జనులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతిలో నుండియు, వారి శత్రువులందరి చేతిలోనుండియు విమోచించెదనని యెహోవా దావీదునుగూర్చి సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు గనుక మీ కోరిక నెరవేర్చుకొనుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

18. Nowe then doe it: for the Lord hath spoken of Dauid, saying, By the hand of my seruant Dauid I will saue my people Israel out of the handes of the Philistims, and out of the handes of all their enemies.

19. మరియు అబ్నేరు బెన్యామీనీయులతో ఆలాగున మాటలాడిన తరువాత హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలువారి దృష్టికిని బెన్యామీనీయులందరి దృష్టికిని ప్రయోజనమైన దానిని దావీదునకు పూర్తిగా తెలియచేసెను.

19. Also Abner spake to Beniamin, and afterward Abner went to speake with Dauid in Hebron, concerning all that Israel was content with, and the whole house of Beniamin.

20. అందు నిమిత్తమై అబ్నేరు ఇరువదిమందిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని హెబ్రోనులోనున్న దావీదునొద్దకు రాగా దావీదు అబ్నేరుకును అతనివారికిని విందు చేయించెను.

20. So Abner came to Dauid to Hebron, hauing twentie men with him, and Dauid made a feast vnto Abner, and to the men that were with him.

21. అంతట అబ్నేరునేను పోయి ఇశ్రాయేలువారినందరిని నా యేలినవాడవగు నీ పక్షమున సమకూర్చి, వారు నీతో నిబంధనచేయునట్లును, నీ చిత్తానుసారముగా నీవు రాజరికము వహించి కోరినదాని అంతటిమీద ఏలునట్లును చేయుదునని దావీదుతో చెప్పి దావీదునొద్ద సెలవుపుచ్చుకొని సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయెను.

21. Then Abner sayde vnto Dauid, I will rise vp, and goe gather all Israel vnto my lorde the King, that they may make a couenant with thee, and that thou mayest reigne ouer all that thine heart desireth. Then Dauid let Abner depart, who went in peace.

22. పిమ్మట దావీదు సేవకులును యోవాబును బందిపోటునుండి బహు విస్తారమైన దోపుడు సొమ్ము తీసికొనిరాగా అబ్నేరు హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునొద్ద లేకపోయెను, దావీదు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చియున్నందున అతడు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయి యుండెను.

22. And beholde, the seruants of Dauid and Ioab came from the campe, and brought a great pray with them (but Abner was not with Dauid in Hebron: for he had sent him away, and he departed in peace)

23. అయితే యోవాబును అతనియొద్దనున్న సైన్యమును వచ్చినప్పుడు నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చెననియు, రాజు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చి పంపెననియు, అతడు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయెననియు తెలిసికొని

23. When Ioab, and all the hoste that was with him were come, men tolde Ioab, saying, Abner the sonne of Ner came to the King, and he hath sent him away, and he is gone in peace.

24. యోవాబు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిచిత్తగించుము, నీవు ఏమిచేసితివి? అబ్నేరు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చి నప్పుడు నీవెందుకు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చి పంపి వేసితివి?

24. Then Ioab came to the King, and saide, What hast thou done? beholde, Abner came vnto thee, why hast thou sent him away, and he is departed?

25. నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరును నీవెరుగవా? నిన్ను మోసపుచ్చి నీ రాకపోకలన్నిటిని నీవు చేయు సమస్తమును తెలిసికొనుటకై అతడు వచ్చెనని చెప్పి

25. Thou knowest Abner the sonne of Ner: for he came to deceiue thee, and to knowe thy outgoing and ingoing, and to knowe all that thou doest.

26. దావీదునొద్దనుండి బయలువెడలి అబ్నేరును పిలుచుటకై దూతలను పంపెను. వారు పోయి సిరా యను బావిదగ్గరనుండి అతనిని తోడుకొని వచ్చిరి; అతడు వచ్చిన సంగతి దావీదునకు తెలియకయుండెను.

26. And when Ioab was gone out from Dauid, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him againe from the well of Siriah vnknowing to Dauid.

27. అబ్నేరు తిరిగి హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చినప్పుడుసంగతి యెవరికి వినబడకుండ గుమ్మము నడుమ ఏకాంతముగా అతనితో మాటలాడవలెనని యోవాబు అతని పిలిచి, తన సహోదరుడగు అశాహేలు ప్రాణము తీసినందుకై అతనిని కడుపులో పొడువగా అతడు చచ్చెను.

27. And when Abner was come againe to Hebron, Ioab tooke him aside in the gate to speake with him peaceably, and smote him vnder the fift ryb, that he dyed, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

28. ఆ తరువాత ఈ సమాచారము దావీదునకు వినబడినప్పుడు అతడు అనుకొనిన దేమనగానేనును నా రాజ్యమును నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరు ప్రాణము తీయుట విషయములో యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఎప్పటికిని నిరపరాధులమే.

28. And when afterwarde it came to Dauids eare, he saide, I and my kingdome are giltlesse before the Lord for euer, concerning the blood of Abner the sonne of Ner.

29. ఈ దోషము యోవాబుమీదను అతని తండ్రికి పుట్టిన వారందరిమీదను మోపబడునుగాక. యోవాబు ఇంటివారిలో స్రావముగలవాడైనను కుష్ఠరోగి యైనను కఱ్ఱపట్టుకొని నడుచువాడైనను ఖడ్గముచేత కూలు వాడైనను ఆహారము లేనివాడైనను ఉండకపోడుగాక అనెను.

29. Let the blood fall on the head of Ioab, and on all his fathers house, that the house of Ioab be neuer without some that haue running issues, or leper, or that leaneth on a staffe, or that doeth fall on the sworde, or that lacketh bread.

30. ఆలాగున యోవాబును అతని సహోదరుడైన అబీషైయును, అబ్నేరు గిబియోను యుద్ధమందు తమ సహోదరుడైన అశాహేలును చంపిన దానినిబట్టి అతని చంపిరి.

30. (So Ioab and Abishai his brother slewe Abner, because he had slaine their brother Asahel at Gibeon in battel)

31. దావీదుమీ బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని అబ్నేరు శవమునకు ముందు నడుచుచు ప్రలాపము చేయుడని యోవాబునకును అతనితో నున్న వారికందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

31. And Dauid said to Ioab, and to al the people that were with him, Rent your clothes, and put on sackecloth, and mourne before Abner: and King Dauid him selfe followed the beare.

32. రాజును స్వయముగా పాడెవెంట నడిచెను. వారు అబ్నేరును హెబ్రోనులో పాతిపెట్టగా రాజు అబ్నేరు సమాధిదగ్గర ఎలుగెత్తి యేడ్చెను, జనులంద రును ఏడ్చిరి.

32. And when they had buryed Abner in Hebron, the King lift vp his voyce, and wept beside the sepulchre of Abner, and all the people wept.

33. మరియు రాజు అబ్నేరునుగూర్చి శోకకీర్తన యొకటి కట్టెను.

33. And the King lamented ouer Abner, and sayde, Dyed Abner as a foole dyeth?

34. ఎట్లనగా అబ్నేరూ నీచుడొకడు చచ్చునట్లుగా నీవు చావతగునా?నీ చేతులకు కట్లు లేకుండగనునీ కాళ్లకు సంకెళ్లు వేయబడకుండగనుదోషకారి యెదుట ఒకడు పడునట్లు నీవు పడితివే రాజు ఈలాగున కీర్తన యెత్తి పాడగా జనులందరు విని మరియెక్కువగా ఏడ్చిరి.

34. Thine handes were not bounde, nor thy feete tyed in fetters of brasse: but as a man falleth before wicked men, so diddest thou fall. And all the people wept againe for him.

35. ఇంక వెలుగున్నప్పుడు జనులు దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చి భోజనము చేయుమని అతనిని బతి మాలగా దావీదు ప్రమాణముచేసిసూర్యుడు అస్తమించక మునుపు ఆహారమేమైనను నేను రుచిచూచినయెడల దేవుడు నాకు గొప్ప అపాయము కలుగజేయునుగాకనెను.

35. Afterwarde all the people came to cause Dauid eate meate while it was yet day, but Dauid sware, saying, So doe God to me and more also, if I taste bread, or ought els till the sunne be downe.

36. జనులందరు ఆ సంగతి గ్రహించినప్పుడు సంతో షించిరి; రాజు చేయునదంతయు జనులందరి దృష్టికి అను కూలమైనట్లు అదియు వారి దృష్టికి అనుకూలమాయెను.

36. And all the people knewe it, and it pleased them: as whatsoeuer the King did, pleased all the people.

37. నేరు కుమారుడైన అబ్నేరును చంపుట రాజు ప్రేరేపణ వలన నైనది కాదని ఆ దినమున జనులందరికిని ఇశ్రాయేలు వారికందరికిని తెలియబడెను.

37. For all the people and all Israel vnderstoode that day, howe that it was not the Kings deede that Abner the sonne of Ner was slaine.

38. పిమ్మట రాజు తన సేవకు లను పిలిచి వారితో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునేటిదినమున పడిపోయినవాడు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిలో ప్రధానుడనియుపెద్దలలో ఒకడనియు మీకు తెలిసేయున్నది.

38. And the King said vnto his seruants, Know ye not, that there is a prince and a great man falle this day in Israel?

39. పట్టాభిషేకము నొందినవాడనైనను, నేడు నేను బలహీనుడనైతిని. సెరూయా కుమారులైన యీ మనుష్యులు నా కంటె బలముగలవారు, అతడు జరిగించిన దుష్క్రియనుబట్టి యెహోవా కీడుచేసినవానికి ప్రతికీడు చేయునుగాక.

39. And I am this day weake and newly anoynted King: and these men the sonnes of Zeruiah be too harde for me: the Lord rewarde the doer of euill according to his wickednesse.
