1. సౌలు కుటుంబికులకును దావీదు కుటుంబికులకును బహుకాలము యుద్ధము జరుగగా దావీదు అంత కంతకు ప్రబలెను; సౌలు కుటుంబము అంతకంతకు నీరసిల్లెను.

1. There was then long warre betweene the house of Saul, and the house of Dauid: But Dauid waxed stroger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.

2. హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునకు పుట్టిన కుమారులెవరనగా, అమ్నోను అను అతని జ్యేష్ఠపుత్రుడు యెజ్రెయేలీయు రాలగు అహీనోయమువలన పుట్టెను.

2. And vnto Dauid were children borne in Hebron: his eldest sonne also was Amnon of Ahinoam the Iesraelite:

3. కిల్యాబు అను రెండవవాడు కర్మెలీయుడగు నాబాలు భార్యయైన అబీగ యీలు వలన పుట్టెను. మూడవవాడైన అబ్షాలోము గెషూరు రాజగు తల్మయి కుమార్తెయగు మయకావలన పుట్టెను.

3. The seconde, Cheleab of Abigail the wyfe of Nabal the Carmelite: the third, Absalom the sonne of Maacha the daughter of Thalmai, the king of Gessur:

4. నాలుగవవాడగు అదోనీయా హగ్గీతువలన పుట్టెను. అయిదవవాడగు షెఫట్య అబీటలువలన పుట్టెను.

4. The fourth, Adonia the sonne of Haggith: the fyft, Sephatia the sonne of Abital:

5. ఆరవవాడగు ఇత్రెయాము దావీదునకు భార్యయగు ఎగ్లావలన పుట్టెను. వీరు హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునకు పుట్టిన కుమారులు.

5. And the sixt Iethream, by Egla Dauids wyfe: These were borne to Dauid in Hebron.

6. సౌలు కుటుంబికులకును దావీదు కుటుంబికులకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండగా అబ్నేరు సౌలు కుటుంబికులకు బహు సహాయముచేసెను.

6. And whyle there was warre betweene the house of Saul and the house of Dauid, Abner held vp the house of Saul.

7. అయ్యా కుమార్తెయైన రిస్పా యను ఒక ఉపపత్ని సౌలుకుండెనునా తండ్రికి ఉప పత్నియగు దానిని నీ వెందుకు కూడితివని ఇష్బోషెతు అబ్నేరును అడుగగా

7. And Saul had a concubine named Rispha, the daughter of Ahia: And Isboseth sayd to Abner, Wherfore hast thou gone in vnto my fathers concubine?

8. అబ్నేరును ఇష్బోషెతు అడిగిన మాటకు బహుగా కోపగించుకొనినిన్ను దావీదు చేతి కప్పగింపక నీ తండ్రియైన సౌలు ఇంటి వారికిని అతని సహోదరులకును అతని స్నేహితులకును ఈవేళ ఉపకారము చేసిన నన్ను యూదావారికి చేరిన కుక్కతో సమానునిగాచేసి యీ దినమున ఒక స్త్రీనిబట్టి నామీద నేరము మోపుదువా?

8. Then was Abner very wroth for the wordes of Isboseth, and sayde: Am I a dogges head, whiche against Iuda do shew mercie this day vnto the house of Saul thy father, and to his brethren and frendes, & haue not deliuered thee into the hande of Dauid: and thou fyndest a fault in me this day for this woman?

9. యెహోవా దావీదునకు ప్రమాణము చేసిన దానిని అతనిపక్షమున నేను నెరవేర్చనియెడల

9. So do God to Abner, and more also, except as the Lorde hath sworne to Dauid, euen so will I do to him,

10. దేవుడు నాకు గొప్ప అపాయము కలుగజేయును గాక; సౌలు ఇంటివారి వశము కాకుండ రాజ్యమును తప్పించి దాను మొదలుకొని బెయేర్షబావరకు దావీదు సింహాసనమును ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీదను యూదా వారి మీదను నేను స్థిరపరచెదననెను.

10. To bring the kingdome fro the house of Saul, that the throne of Dauid may be stablisshed ouer Israel and ouer Iuda, euen from Dan to Beerseba.

11. కావున ఇష్బోషెతు అబ్నేరునకు భయపడి యిక ఏ మాటయు పలుకలేక పోయెను.

11. And he coulde geue Abner neuer a worde to aunswere, because he feared him.

12. అబ్నేరు తన తరపున దావీదునొద్దకు దూతలను పంపిఈ దేశము ఎవరిది? నీవు నాతో నిబంధనచేసినయెడల నేను నీకు సహాయము చేసి, ఇశ్రాయేలు వారినందరిని నీ తట్టు త్రిప్పెదనని వర్తమానము పంపగా దావీదుమంచిది; నేను నీతో నిబంధన చేసెదను.

12. And Abner sent messengers to Dauid secretly, saying: Whose is the land? Who should [also] say, Make a bond with me, and beholde my hande is with thee, to bring all Israel vnto thee.

13. అయితే నీవుఒకపని చేయవలెను; దర్శనమునకు వచ్చునప్పుడు సౌలు కుమార్తెయగు మీకాలును నా యొద్దకు తోడుకొని రావలెను; లేదా నీకు దర్శనము దొరకదనెను.

13. He sayde: Well, I will make a bonde with the: But one thing I require of thee, that is, that thou see not my face, except thou first bring Michol Sauls daughter, when thou comest to see me.

14. మరియు దావీదు సౌలు కుమారుడగు ఇష్బోషెతునొద్దకు దూతలను పంపిఫిలిష్తీయులలో నూరుమంది ముందోళ్లను తెచ్చి నేను పెండ్లి చేసికొనిన మీకాలును నాకప్పగింపుమని చెప్పుడనగా

14. And Dauid sent messengers to Isboseth Sauls sonne, saying: Deliuer me my wife Michol, whiche I maried for an hundred foreskinnes of ye Philistines.

15. ఇష్బోషెతు దూతను పంపి, లాయీషు కుమారుడగు పల్తీయేలు అను దాని పెనిమిటియొద్దనుండి మీకాలును పిలువనంపెను.

15. And Isboseth sent, and toke her from her husband Phalti the sonne of Lais.

16. దాని పెనిమిటి బహూరీమువరకు దాని వెనుక ఏడ్చుచు రాగా అబ్నేరునీవు తిరిగి పొమ్మనెను గనుక అతడు వెళ్లిపోయెను.

16. And her husband went with her, and came weeping behinde her, til they came to Bahurim. Then sayde Abner vnto him, Go and returne. And he returned.

17. అంతలో అబ్నేరు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారి పెద్దలను పిలిపించిదావీదు మిమ్మును ఏలవలెనని మీరు ఇంతకు మునుపు కోరితిరి గదా

17. And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying: Ye sought for Dauid in times past, that he might be your king:

18. నా సేవకుడైన దావీదుచేత నా జనులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతిలో నుండియు, వారి శత్రువులందరి చేతిలోనుండియు విమోచించెదనని యెహోవా దావీదునుగూర్చి సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు గనుక మీ కోరిక నెరవేర్చుకొనుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

18. Nowe then do it: for the Lorde hath spoken of Dauid, saying: By the hande of my seruaunt Dauid, I will saue my people Israel out of the handes of the Philistines, and out of the hande of all their enemies.

19. మరియు అబ్నేరు బెన్యామీనీయులతో ఆలాగున మాటలాడిన తరువాత హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలువారి దృష్టికిని బెన్యామీనీయులందరి దృష్టికిని ప్రయోజనమైన దానిని దావీదునకు పూర్తిగా తెలియచేసెను.

19. And Abner spake in the eares of Beniamin: and afterward Abner went to speake in the eares of Dauid in Hebron all that Israel was content with and the whole house of Beniamin.

20. అందు నిమిత్తమై అబ్నేరు ఇరువదిమందిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని హెబ్రోనులోనున్న దావీదునొద్దకు రాగా దావీదు అబ్నేరుకును అతనివారికిని విందు చేయించెను.

20. And so Abner came to Dauid to Hebron, hauing twentie men with him: & Dauid made him & the men that were with him a feast.

21. అంతట అబ్నేరునేను పోయి ఇశ్రాయేలువారినందరిని నా యేలినవాడవగు నీ పక్షమున సమకూర్చి, వారు నీతో నిబంధనచేయునట్లును, నీ చిత్తానుసారముగా నీవు రాజరికము వహించి కోరినదాని అంతటిమీద ఏలునట్లును చేయుదునని దావీదుతో చెప్పి దావీదునొద్ద సెలవుపుచ్చుకొని సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయెను.

21. And Abner sayde vnto Dauid: I will vp, & go gather all Israel vnto my lorde the king, that they may make an appoyntment with thee, and that thou mayest raigne ouer all that thyne heart desireth. And when Dauid had let Abner depart, he went in peace.

22. పిమ్మట దావీదు సేవకులును యోవాబును బందిపోటునుండి బహు విస్తారమైన దోపుడు సొమ్ము తీసికొనిరాగా అబ్నేరు హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునొద్ద లేకపోయెను, దావీదు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చియున్నందున అతడు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయి యుండెను.

22. And behold, the seruauntes of Dauid and Ioab came from the campe, and brought a great pray with them: (But Abner was not with Dauid in Hebron, for he had sent him away to depart in peace.)

23. అయితే యోవాబును అతనియొద్దనున్న సైన్యమును వచ్చినప్పుడు నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చెననియు, రాజు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చి పంపెననియు, అతడు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లిపోయెననియు తెలిసికొని

23. When Ioab and al the hoast that was with him were come, men tolde Ioab, saying: Abner the sonne of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, that he is gone in peace.

24. యోవాబు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిచిత్తగించుము, నీవు ఏమిచేసితివి? అబ్నేరు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చి నప్పుడు నీవెందుకు అతనికి సెలవిచ్చి పంపి వేసితివి?

24. Then Ioab came to the king, and said: What hast thou done? Behold, Abner came vnto thee, and why hast thou sent him away, and he is quyte gone?

25. నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరును నీవెరుగవా? నిన్ను మోసపుచ్చి నీ రాకపోకలన్నిటిని నీవు చేయు సమస్తమును తెలిసికొనుటకై అతడు వచ్చెనని చెప్పి

25. Thou knowest Abner the sonne of Ner, for he came to deceaue thee, and to knowe thy outgoyng and ingoyng, and to knowe all that thou doest.

26. దావీదునొద్దనుండి బయలువెడలి అబ్నేరును పిలుచుటకై దూతలను పంపెను. వారు పోయి సిరా యను బావిదగ్గరనుండి అతనిని తోడుకొని వచ్చిరి; అతడు వచ్చిన సంగతి దావీదునకు తెలియకయుండెను.

26. And when Ioab was come out from Dauid, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him againe from the well of Sira, vnknowing to Dauid.

27. అబ్నేరు తిరిగి హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చినప్పుడుసంగతి యెవరికి వినబడకుండ గుమ్మము నడుమ ఏకాంతముగా అతనితో మాటలాడవలెనని యోవాబు అతని పిలిచి, తన సహోదరుడగు అశాహేలు ప్రాణము తీసినందుకై అతనిని కడుపులో పొడువగా అతడు చచ్చెను.

27. And when Abner was come againe to Hebron, Ioab toke him asyde in the gate to speake with him peaceably, and smote him vnder the fyft ribbe, that he died for the blood of Asahel his brother,

28. ఆ తరువాత ఈ సమాచారము దావీదునకు వినబడినప్పుడు అతడు అనుకొనిన దేమనగానేనును నా రాజ్యమును నేరు కుమారుడగు అబ్నేరు ప్రాణము తీయుట విషయములో యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఎప్పటికిని నిరపరాధులమే.

28. And when afterwarde it came to Dauids eare, he sayde: I and my kingdome are giltlesse before the Lord for euer concerning the blood of Abner the sonne of Ner.

29. ఈ దోషము యోవాబుమీదను అతని తండ్రికి పుట్టిన వారందరిమీదను మోపబడునుగాక. యోవాబు ఇంటివారిలో స్రావముగలవాడైనను కుష్ఠరోగి యైనను కఱ్ఱపట్టుకొని నడుచువాడైనను ఖడ్గముచేత కూలు వాడైనను ఆహారము లేనివాడైనను ఉండకపోడుగాక అనెను.

29. Let the blood fall on the head of Ioab and on all his fathers house, that the house of Ioab be neuer without one or other that hath running issues or leper, or that leaneth on a staffe, or that doth fall on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

30. ఆలాగున యోవాబును అతని సహోదరుడైన అబీషైయును, అబ్నేరు గిబియోను యుద్ధమందు తమ సహోదరుడైన అశాహేలును చంపిన దానినిబట్టి అతని చంపిరి.

30. (So Ioab & Abisai his brother slue Abner, because he had slayne their brother Asahel at Gibeon in battell.)

31. దావీదుమీ బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని అబ్నేరు శవమునకు ముందు నడుచుచు ప్రలాపము చేయుడని యోవాబునకును అతనితో నున్న వారికందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

31. And Dauid sayde to Ioab and to all the people that were with him: Rent your clothes, and put on sackcloth, and mourne before Abner. And king Dauid him selfe folowed the beere.

32. రాజును స్వయముగా పాడెవెంట నడిచెను. వారు అబ్నేరును హెబ్రోనులో పాతిపెట్టగా రాజు అబ్నేరు సమాధిదగ్గర ఎలుగెత్తి యేడ్చెను, జనులంద రును ఏడ్చిరి.

32. And when they buried Abner in Hebron, the king lift vp his voyce, & wept besyde the sepulchre of Abner, and al the people wept.

33. మరియు రాజు అబ్నేరునుగూర్చి శోకకీర్తన యొకటి కట్టెను.

33. And the king lamented ouer Abner, and sayde: Died Abner as a foole dieth?

34. ఎట్లనగా అబ్నేరూ నీచుడొకడు చచ్చునట్లుగా నీవు చావతగునా?నీ చేతులకు కట్లు లేకుండగనునీ కాళ్లకు సంకెళ్లు వేయబడకుండగనుదోషకారి యెదుట ఒకడు పడునట్లు నీవు పడితివే రాజు ఈలాగున కీర్తన యెత్తి పాడగా జనులందరు విని మరియెక్కువగా ఏడ్చిరి.

34. Thy handes were not bounde, nor thy feete brought into fetters of brasse: but as a man falleth before wicked children, so fellest thou. And all they that were of the people, wept yet more ouer him.

35. ఇంక వెలుగున్నప్పుడు జనులు దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చి భోజనము చేయుమని అతనిని బతి మాలగా దావీదు ప్రమాణముచేసిసూర్యుడు అస్తమించక మునుపు ఆహారమేమైనను నేను రుచిచూచినయెడల దేవుడు నాకు గొప్ప అపాయము కలుగజేయునుగాకనెను.

35. And when all the people came to cause Dauid eate meate whyle it was yet day, Dauid sware, saying: So do God to me and more also, if I taste bread or ought els tyll the sunne be downe.

36. జనులందరు ఆ సంగతి గ్రహించినప్పుడు సంతో షించిరి; రాజు చేయునదంతయు జనులందరి దృష్టికి అను కూలమైనట్లు అదియు వారి దృష్టికి అనుకూలమాయెను.

36. And all the people wist it, and it pleased them: as whatsoeuer the king did, pleased all the people.

37. నేరు కుమారుడైన అబ్నేరును చంపుట రాజు ప్రేరేపణ వలన నైనది కాదని ఆ దినమున జనులందరికిని ఇశ్రాయేలు వారికందరికిని తెలియబడెను.

37. For all the people and all Israel vnderstoode that day, how that it was not the kinges deede that Abner the sonne of Ner was slayne.

38. పిమ్మట రాజు తన సేవకు లను పిలిచి వారితో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునేటిదినమున పడిపోయినవాడు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిలో ప్రధానుడనియుపెద్దలలో ఒకడనియు మీకు తెలిసేయున్నది.

38. And the king said vnto his seruauntes: Knowe ye not howe that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

39. పట్టాభిషేకము నొందినవాడనైనను, నేడు నేను బలహీనుడనైతిని. సెరూయా కుమారులైన యీ మనుష్యులు నా కంటె బలముగలవారు, అతడు జరిగించిన దుష్క్రియనుబట్టి యెహోవా కీడుచేసినవానికి ప్రతికీడు చేయునుగాక.

39. And I am this day tender and newly annoynted king, and these men the sonnes of Zaruia be to hard for me: The Lorde rewarde the doer of euyll, according to his wickednesse.
