1. యోనాతానునుబట్టి నేను ఉపకారము చూపుటకు సౌలు కుటుంబములో ఎవడైన కలడాయని దావీదు అడి గెను.

1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathans sake?

2. సౌలు కుటుంబమునకు సేవకుడగు సీబాయను ఒకడుండగా వారు అతనిని దావీదునొద్దకు పిలువనంపిరి. రాజుసీబావు నీవేగదా అని అడుగగా అతడునీ దాసుడనైన నేనే సీబాను అనెను.

2. And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

3. రాజుయెహోవా నాకు దయచూపినట్లుగా నేను ఉపకారము చేయుటకు సౌలు కుటుంబములో ఎవడైననొకడు శేషించియున్నాడా యని అతని నడుగగా సీబాయోనాతానుకు కుంటికాళ్లు గల కుమారుడొకడున్నాడని రాజుతో మనవిచేసెను.

3. And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

4. అతడెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని రాజు అడుగగా సీబాచిత్త గించుము, అతడు లోదెబారులో అమీ్మయేలు కుమారుడగు మాకీరు ఇంట నున్నాడని రాజుతో అనెను.

4. And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

5. అప్పుడు రాజైన దావీదు మనుష్యులను పంపి లోదెబారులో నున్న అమీ్మయేలు కుమారుడగు మాకీరు ఇంటనుండి అతని రప్పిం చెను.

5. Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

6. సౌలు కుమారుడైన యోనాతానునకు పుట్టిన మెఫీబోషెతు దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చి సాగిలపడి నమస్కారము చేయగా దావీదుమెఫీబోషెతూ అని అతని పిలిచి నప్పుడు అతడుచిత్తము, నీ దాసుడనైన నేనున్నాననెను.

6. And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

7. అందుకు దావీదునీవు భయపడవద్దు, నీ తండ్రియైన యోనాతాను నిమిత్తము నిజముగా నేను నీకు ఉపకారము చూపి, నీ పితరుడైన సౌలు భూమి అంతయు నీకు మరల ఇప్పింతును; మరియు నీవు సదాకాలము నా బల్లయొద్దనే భోజనముచేయుదువని సెలవియ్యగా

7. And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy fathers sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

8. అతడు నమస్క రించిచచ్చిన కుక్కవంటివాడనైన నాయెడల నీవు దయ చూపుటకు నీ దాసుడనగు నేను ఎంతటివాడను? అనెను.

8. And he did obeisance, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

9. అప్పుడు రాజు సౌలు సేవకుడైన సీబాను పిలువనంపిసౌలునకును అతని కుటుంబమునకును కలిగిన సొత్తంతటిని నీ యజమానుని కుమారునికి నేనిప్పించి యున్నాను;

9. Then the king called to Ziba, Sauls servant, and said unto him, All that pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy masters son.

10. కాబట్టి నీవును నీ కుమారులును నీ దాసులును అతనికొరకు ఆ భూమిని సాగుబడిజేసి, నీ యజమానుని కుమారునికిభోజనమునకై ఆహారము కలుగునట్లు నీవు దాని పంట తేవలెను; నీ యజమానుని కుమారుడైన మెఫీబోషెతు ఎల్లప్పుడును నా బల్లయొద్దనే భోజనము చేయునని సెల విచ్చెను. ఈ సీబాకు పదునైదుమంది కుమారులును ఇరువదిమంది దాసులును ఉండిరి.

10. And thou shalt till the land for him, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants; and thou shalt bring in {cf15i the fruits}, that thy masters son may have bread to eat: but Mephibosheth thy masters son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

11. నా యేలినవాడగు రాజు తన దాసునికిచ్చిన యాజ్ఞ అంతటి చొప్పున నీ దాసుడనైన నేను చేసెదనని సీబా రాజుతో చెప్పెను. కాగా మెఫీబోషెతు రాజకుమారులలో ఒకడైనట్టుగా రాజు బల్లయొద్దనే భోజనము చేయుచుండెను.

11. Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king commandeth his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, {cf15i said the king}, he shall eat at my table, as one of the kings sons.

12. మెఫీ బోషెతునకు ఒకచిన్న కుమారుడుండెను, వాని పేరు మీకా. మరియు సీబా యింటిలో కాపురమున్న వారందరు మెఫీబోషెతునకు దాసులుగా ఉండిరి.

12. And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

13. మెఫీబోషెతు యెరూషలేములో కాపురముండి సదాకాలము రాజు బల్లయొద్ద భోజనము చేయుచుండెను. అతని కాళ్లు రెండును కుంటివి.

13. So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the kings table; and he was lame on both his feet.
