1. ఆ కాలమున యరొబాము కుమారుడైన అబీయా కాయిలాపడగా

1. At this time, Aviyah the son of Yarov'am fell ill.

2. యరొబాము తన భార్యతో ఇట్లనెనునీవు లేచి యరొబాము భార్యౌవని తెలియబడకుండ మారువేషము వేసికొని షిలోహునకు పొమ్ము; ఈ జనుల మీద నేను రాజునగుదునని నాకు సమాచారము తెలియ జెప్పిన ప్రవక్తయగు అహీయా అక్కడ ఉన్నాడు.

2. Yarov'am said to his wife, 'Please come, and disguise yourself, so that you won't be recognized as Yarov'am's wife, and go to Shiloh. Achiyah the prophet is there, the one who said that I would be king over these people.

3. కాబట్టి నీవు పది రొట్టెలును అప్పములును ఒక బుడ్డితేనెయు చేత పట్టుకొని అతని దర్శించుము. బిడ్డయేమగునో అతడు నీకు తెలియజేయునని చెప్పగా

3. Take with you ten loaves of bread, some cakes and a jug of honey; and go to him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy.'

4. యరొబాము భార్య ఆ ప్రకారము లేచి షిలోహునకు పోయి అహీయా యింటికి వచ్చెను. అహీయా వృద్ధాప్యముచేత కండ్లు కానరాని వాడై యుండెను.

4. Yarov'am's wife did this; she set out, went to Shiloh and arrived at the house of Achiyah. Now Achiyah could not see, because his eyes were dim with age.

5. అంతట యెహోవా అహీయాతో సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగాయరొబాము కుమారుడు కాయిలాగా ఉన్నాడు గనుక అతనిగూర్చి నీచేత విచా రించుటకై యరొబాము భార్య వచ్చుచున్నది ఆమె మారువేషము వేసికొని మరియొకతెయైనట్టుగా వచ్చుచున్నది గనుక నేను నీకు సెలవిచ్చునట్టు నీవు ఆమెతో చెప్పవలెను.

5. ADONAI had told Achiyah, 'Yarov'am's wife is on her way to you to ask about her son, who is ill. You are to tell her thus and thus; moreover, when she comes, she will be pretending she is another woman.'

6. అంతలో అహీయా ద్వారము లోపలికి వచ్చు నామె కాలిచప్పుడు విని ఆమెతో ఇట్లనెనుయరొబాము భార్యా, లోపలికి రమ్ము; నీవు వేషము వేసి కొని వచ్చుటయేల? కఠినమైన మాటలు నీకు చెప్పవలెనని నాకు ఆజ్ఞయాయెను.

6. When Achiyah heard the sound of her feet as she came in the door, he said, 'Enter, wife of Yarov'am! Why pretend you are someone else? I've been given bad news for you.

7. నీవు వెళ్లి యరొబాముతో చెప్ప వలసినదేమనగాఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈ ప్రకారము సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడునేను నిన్ను జను లలోనుండి తీసి హెచ్చింపజేసి, ఇశ్రాయేలువారను నా జనులమీద నిన్ను అధికారిగా నియమించి

7. Go, tell Yarov'am that this is what ADONAI says: 'I raised you up from among the people, made you prince over my people Isra'el,

8. దావీదు సంతతి వారియొద్దనుండి రాజ్యమును తీసి నీకిచ్చి యుండినను, నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొని మనఃపూర్తిగా నన్ను అనుసరించి నా దృష్టికి ఏది అనుకూలమో దాని మాత్రమే చేసిన నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు చేసినట్టు నీవు చేయక

8. tore the kingdom away from the dynasty of David and gave it to you. In spite of this, you have not been like my servant David, who obeyed my [mitzvot] and followed me with all his heart, so that he could do only what I regarded as right.

9. నీ కంటె ముందుగా ఉండిన వారందరికంటెను అధికముగా కీడుచేసి యున్నావు; నన్ను బొత్తిగా విసర్జించి యితర దేవతలను పోత విగ్రహములను పెట్టుకొని నాకు కోపము పుట్టించి యున్నావు.

9. Rather, you have committed more evil than anyone before you! You went and made other gods for yourself and images of cast metal to make me angry, but me you shoved behind your back!

10. కాబట్టి యరొబాము సంతతి వారిమీదికి నేను కీడు రప్పించుచు, ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిలో అల్పులు గాని ఘనులు గాని లేకుండ మగవారినందరిని యరొబాము వంశమునుండి నిర్మూలము చేసి, పెంటఅంతయు పోవునట్లుగా ఒకడు అవతలకు దానిని ఊడ్చి వేసినట్లు యరొబాము సంతతిలో శేషించినవారిని నేను ఊడ్చివేయుదును.

10. Therefore, I will now bring disaster on the house of Yarov'am. I will cut off every male of Yarov'am's line, whether a slave or free in Isra'el; I will sweep away the house of Yarov'am as completely as when someone sweeps away dung until it's all gone.

11. పట్టణమందు యరొబాము సంబంధులలో మరణమగువారిని కుక్కలు తినును; బయట భూమిలో మరణమగువారిని ఆకాశపక్షులు తినును; యెహోవా మాటయిచ్చి యున్నాడు.

11. If someone from the line of Yarov'am dies in the city, the dogs will eat him; if he dies in the countryside, the vultures will eat him. For ADONAI has said it.'

12. కాబట్టి నీవు లేచి నీ యింటికి పొమ్ము, నీ పాదములు పట్టణములో ప్రవేశించునప్పుడే నీ బిడ్డ చని పోవును;

12. So get up and go home; when your feet enter the city, the boy will die.

13. అతని నిమిత్తము ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరు అంగలార్చుచు, సమాధిలో అతనిని పెట్టుదురు; ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా యరొబాము సంబంధులలో ఇతనియందు మాత్రమే అనుకూలమైన దాని కనుగొనెను గనుక యరొబాము సంతతివారిలో ఇతడు మాత్రమే సమాధికి వచ్చును.

13. All Isra'el will mourn him, and they will bury him; he is the only one of Yarov'am's line who will lie in a grave, because he alone in the house of Yarov'am has in him an element of good toward ADONAI the God of Isra'el.

14. ఇదియుగాక యెహోవా తన నిమిత్తము ఒకని ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద రాజుగా నియమింప బోవు చున్నాడు; ఆ దినముననే అతడు యరొబాము సంతతి వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయును; కొద్దికాలములోనే ఆయన అతని నియమింపబోవును.

14. Moreover, ADONAI will raise up for himself a king over Isra'el who at that time will cut off the house of Yarov'am. And what will God do now?

15. ఇశ్రాయేలువారు దేవతాస్తంభ ములను నిలిపి యెహోవాకు కోపము పుట్టించి యున్నారు గనుక నీటియందు రెల్లు అల్లలాడునట్లు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని మొత్తి, ఒకడు వేరును పెల్లగించినట్లు వారి పితరులకు తాను ఇచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములోనుండి వారిని పెల్లగించి వారిని యూఫ్రటీసునది అవతలకు చెదర గొట్టును.

15. ADONAI will strike Isra'el until it shakes like a reed in the water; he will uproot Isra'el from this good land, which he gave to their ancestors, and scatter them beyond the [[Euphrates]] River; because they made sacred poles for themselves, thus making ADONAI angry.

16. మరియు తానే పాపముచేసి ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకై కారకుడైన యరొబాము పాపములనుబట్టి ఆయన ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని అప్పగింప బోవుచున్నాడు.

16. He will give up on Isra'el because of the sins of Yarov'am, which he committed himself, and with which he made Isra'el sin as well.'

17. అప్పుడు యరొ బాము భార్య లేచి వెళ్లిపోయి తిర్సా పట్టణమునకు వచ్చెను; ఆమె లోగిటి ద్వారపు గడపయొద్దకు రాగానే ఆ చిన్నవాడు చని పోయెను.

17. Yarov'am's wife got up, left and went to Tirtzah. The moment she reached the threshold of the house, the boy died.

18. జనులు అతనిని సమా ధిలోపెట్టి, యెహోవా తన సేవకుడైన ప్రవక్తయగు అహీయాద్వారా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకారముగ ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును అతనికొరకు అంగ లార్చిరి.

18. All Isra'el buried him and mourned him, in keeping with the word of ADONAI spoken through his servant Achiyah the prophet.

19. యరొబాము చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు జరిగించిన యుద్ధములనుగూర్చియు, ప్రభుత్వమునుగూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలువారి రాజులవృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

19. Other activities of Yarov'am, how he fought and how he ruled are recorded in the Annals of the Kings of Isra'el.

20. యరొబాము ఏలిన దినములు ఇరువది రెండు సంవత్సరములు; అతడు తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించగా అతనికి మారుగా అతని కుమారుడైన నాదాబు రాజాయెను.

20. Yarov'am's reign lasted twenty-two years; then he slept with his ancestors, and Nadav his son became king in his place.

21. యూదాదేశమందు సొలొమోను కుమారుడైన రెహ బాము ఏలుచుండెను. రెహబాము నలువదియొక సంవత్సర ములవాడైనప్పుడు ఏలనారంభించెను. తన నామము నుంచుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములన్నిటిలోనుండి యెహోవా కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేమను పట్టణమందు అతడు పదునేడు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను; అతని తల్లి అమ్మోనీయురాలు, ఆమె పేరు నయమా.

21. Rechav'am the son of Shlomo was reigning in Y'hudah. Rechav'am was forty-one years old when he began to rule; and he ruled seventeen years in Yerushalayim, the city ADONAI had chosen from all the tribes of Isra'el to bear his name; his mother's name was Na'amah the 'Amonit.

22. యూదావారు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి తమ పితరులు చేసినదానంతటిని మించునట్లుగా పాపము చేయుచు ఆయనకు రోషము పుట్టించిరి.

22. Y'hudah did what was evil from ADONAI's perspective; they made him angry because of their sins, which were worse than any their ancestors had committed.

23. ఎట్లనగా వారును ఎత్తయిన ప్రతి పర్వతము మీదను పచ్చని ప్రతి వృక్షముక్రిందను బలిపీఠములను కట్టి, విగ్రహములను నిలిపి, దేవతాస్తంభములను ఉంచిరి.

23. For they erected high places, standing-stones and sacred poles on every high hill and under every green tree.

24. మరియు పురుషగాములు సహా దేశమందుండిరి. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులయెదుట నిలువకుండ యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన జనులు చేయు హేయక్రియల ప్రకారముగా యూదా వారును చేయుచు వచ్చిరి.

24. Also there were male and female cult-prostitutes in the land attached to these shrines, doing all the disgusting things which the nations did that ADONAI had expelled ahead of the people of Isra'el.

25. రాజైన రెహబాముయొక్క అయిదవ సంవత్సరమందు ఐగుప్తురాజైన షీషకు యెరూష లేము మీదికి వచ్చి

25. In the fifth year of King Rechav'am, Shishak king of Egypt attacked Yerushalayim.

26. యెహోవా మందిరపు ఖజనాలోని పదార్థములను, రాజనగరుయొక్క ఖజనాలోని పదార్థములను, ఎత్తికొని పోయెను, అతడు సమస్తమును ఎత్తికొని పోయెను; సొలొమోను చేయించిన బంగారపు డాళ్లను అతడు ఎత్తికొని పోయెను.

26. He took the treasures in the house of ADONAI and the treasures in the royal palace- he took everything, including all the gold shields Shlomo had made.

27. రాజైన రెహబాము వీటికి మారుగా ఇత్తడి డాళ్లను చేయించి, రాజనగరు ద్వార పాలకులైన తన దేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతుల వశము చేసెను.

27. To replace them, King Rechav'am made shields of bronze, which he entrusted to the commanders of the contingent guarding the gate to the royal palace.

28. రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు వెళ్లునప్పుడెల్ల రాజదేహ సంరక్షకులు వాటిని మోసికొనిపోయి అతడు తిరిగి రాగా వాటిని తమ గదిలో ఉంచిరి.

28. Whenever the king went to the house of ADONAI, the guard would get the shields; later they would return them to the guardroom.

29. రెహబాము చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన వాటన్నిటిని గూర్చియు యూదారాజులయొక్క వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

29. Other activities of Rechav'am and all his accomplishments are recorded in the Annals of the Kings of Y'hudah.

30. వారు బ్రదికినంత కాలము రెహబామునకును యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

30. But there was continual war between Rechav'am and Yarov'am.

31. రెహబాము తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి దావీదు పురమందున్న తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతని తల్లి నయమాయను ఒక అమ్మో నీయురాలు; అతని కుమారుడైన అబీయాము అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

31. Rechav'am slept with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David; his mother's name was Na'amah the 'Amonit. Then Aviyam his son became king in his place.
