1. నెబాతు కుమారుడును రాజునైన యరొబాము ఏలు బడిలో పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున అబీయాము యూదా వారిని ఏలనారంభించెను.

1. In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nabat, Abijam became king over Judah.

2. అతడు మూడు సంవత్సరములు యెరూషలేమునందు రాజుగా ఉండెను; అతని తల్లి పేరు మయకా; ఆమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.

2. He ruled for three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

3. అతడు తన తండ్రి పూర్వము అనుసరించిన పాపమార్గములన్నిటిలో నడిచెను; తన పితరుడైన దావీదు హృదయము తన దేవుడైన యెహోవాయెడల యథార్థముగా ఉన్నట్లు అతని హృదయము యథార్థముగా ఉండలేదు.

3. And he walked in all the sins which his father had done before him. He was not faithful to the Lord with all his heart, like the heart of his father David.

4. దావీదు హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా సంగతియందు తప్ప తన జీవిత దినములన్నియు యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచు కొనుచు, యెహోవా అతనికిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలలో దేని విషయ మందును తప్పిపోకుండెను గనుక

4. But the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem because of David. He gave him a son to rule after him and to keep Jerusalem strong.

5. దావీదు నిమిత్తము అతని తరువాత అతని కుమారుని నిలుపుటకును, యెరూష లేమును స్థిరపరచుటకును, అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా యెరూషలేమునందు దావీదునకు దీపముగా అతని ఉండ నిచ్చెను.

5. Because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He did not turn away from anything the Lord told him to do all the days of his life, except in what happened with Uriah the Hittite.

6. రెహబాము బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు అతనికిని యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

6. And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7. అబీ యాము చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన వాటన్నిటినిగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది. అబీయామునకును యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము కలిగి యుండెను.

7. Now the rest of the acts of Abijam and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8. అబీయాము తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించగా వారు దావీదు పురమందు అతనిని సమాధిచేసిరి; అతని కుమారుడైన ఆసా అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

8. Abijam died and they buried him in the city of David. His son Asa became king in his place.

9. ఇశ్రాయేలువారికి రాజైన యరొబాము ఏలుబడియందు ఇరువదియవ సంవత్సరమున ఆసా యూదావారిని ఏల నారంభించెను.

9. In the twentieth year of Jeroboam the king of Israel, Asa began to rule as king of Judah.

10. అతడు నలువదియొక సంవత్సరములుయెరూషలేమునందు ఏలుచుండెను. అతని అవ్వపేరు మయకా, యీమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.

10. He ruled for fortyone years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

11. ఆసా తన పితరుడైన దావీదువలె యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచుకొని

11. And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, like David his father.

12. పురుషగాములను దేశములోనుండి వెళ్ల గొట్టి తన పితరులు చేయించిన విగ్రహములన్నిటిని పడ గొట్టెను.

12. He sent away the men from the land who sold the use of their bodies in their religion. He took away all the false gods his father had made.

13. మరియు తన అవ్వ యైన మయకా అసహ్యమైన యొకదాని చేయించి, దేవతాస్తంభము ఒకటి నిలుపగా ఆసా ఆ విగ్రహమును ఛిన్నాభిన్నములుగా కొట్టించి, కిద్రోను ఓరను దాని కాల్చివేసి ఆమె పట్టపుదేవికాకుండ ఆమెను తొలగించెను.

13. He stopped his mother Maacah from being queen mother, because she had made a hated object of the false goddess Asherah. And Asa cut down her hated object and burned it at the river Kidron.

14. ఆసా తన దినములన్నియు హృదయపూర్వకముగా యెహోవాను అనుసరించెను గాని ఉన్నత స్థలములను తీసివేయకపోయెను.

14. The high places were not taken away. But Asa was faithful to the Lord with all his heart for all his days.

15. మరియు అతడు తన తండ్రి ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను తాను ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను, వెండియు బంగారమును ఉపకరణములను యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి తెప్పించెను.

15. He brought into the house of the Lord the holy things of his father and his own holy things, silver, gold, and holy objects.

16. వారు బ్రదికిన దినములన్నిటను ఆసాకును ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయె షాకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

16. There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17. ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయెషా యూదావారికి విరోధియై యుండి, యూదా రాజైన ఆసాయొద్దనుండి యెవరును రాకుండను అతని యొద్దకు ఎవరును పోకుండను, రామాపట్టణమును కట్టిం చెను.

17. Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah. He built walls around Ramah to stop anyone from going out or coming in to Asa king of Judah.

18. కాబట్టి ఆసా యెహోవా మందిరపు ఖజానాలోను రాజనగరుయొక్క ఖజానాలోను శేషించిన వెండి అంతయు బంగారమంతయు తీసి తన సేవకులచేతి కప్ప గించి, హెజ్యోనునకు పుట్టిన టబ్రిమ్మోను కుమారుడును దమస్కులో నివాసము చేయుచు అరామునకు రాజునైయున్న బెన్హదదుకు పంపి మనవి చేసినదేమనగా

18. Then Asa took all the silver and the gold which were left in the storerooms of the Lord's house and the king's house, and gave them to his servants. King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus. Asa said,

19. నీ తండ్రికిని నా తండ్రికిని సంధి కలిగియున్నట్లు నీకును నాకును సంధి కలిగి యుండవలెను గనుక వెండి బంగార ములను నీకు కానుకగా పంపించుచున్నాను; నీవు వచ్చి ఇశ్రా యేలు రాజైన బయెషా నాయొద్దనుండి తిరిగిపోవునట్లు నీకును అతనికిని కలిగిన నిబంధనను తప్పింపవలెను.

19. 'Let there be an agreement of peace between me and you, as between my father and your father. See, I have sent you a gift of silver and gold. Go and break your agreement of peace with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will leave me.'

20. కాబట్టి బెన్హదదు రాజైన ఆసా చెప్పిన మాటకు సమ్మతించి తన సైన్యముల అధిపతులను ఇశ్రాయేలు పట్టణముల మీదికి పంపి ఈయోనును దానును ఆబేల్బేత్మయకాను కిన్నెరెతును నఫ్తాలీ దేశమును పట్టుకొని కొల్లపెట్టెను.

20. Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel. He destroyed Ijon, Dan, Abel-bethmaacah, all Chinneroth, and all the land of Naphtali.

21. అది బయెషాకు వర్తమానము కాగా రామాపట్టణము కట్టుట మాని తిర్సాకు పోయి నివాసము చేసెను.

21. When Baasha heard about it, he stopped building a wall around Ramah, and stayed in Tirzah.

22. అప్పుడు రాజైన ఆసా యెవరును నిలిచిపోకుండ యూదాదేశపు వారందరు రావలెనని ప్రకటన చేయగా జనులు సమకూడి బయెషా కట్టించుచుండిన రామాపట్టణపు రాళ్లను కఱ్ఱలను ఎత్తికొని వచ్చిరి. రాజైన ఆసా వాటి చేత బెన్యామీను సంబంధమైన గెబను మిస్పాను కట్టించెను.

22. Then King Asa made the news known to all Judah. There was no one who did not hear it. They carried away the stones of Ramah and its pieces of wood with which Baasha had built. And King Asa used them to build Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah.

23. ఆసా చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతని బలమంతటిని గూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన సమస్తమునుగూర్చియు, అతడు కట్టించిన పట్టణములనుగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాం తముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది. అతడు వృద్ధుడైన తరువాత అతని పాదములయందు రోగముపుట్టెను.

23. Now the rest of all the acts of Asa and all his strength and all he did and the cities he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? But when he was old he had a disease in his feet.

24. అంతట ఆసా తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి, తన పితరుడైన దావీదు పురమందు తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతనికి మారుగా యెహోషాపాతు అను అతని కుమారుడు రాజాయెను.

24. Asa died and was buried with his fathers in the city of his father David. His son Jehoshaphat ruled in his place.

25. యరొబాము కుమారుడైన నాదాబు యూదారాజైన ఆసా యేలుబడిలో రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని ఏలనారంభించి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని రెండు సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను.

25. Jeroboam's son Nadab became king of Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah. And he ruled over Israel for two years.

26. అతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి తన తండ్రి నడిచిన మార్గమందు నడిచి, అతడు దేనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకై కారకుడాయెనో ఆ పాపమును అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించెను.

26. He did what was sinful in the eyes of the Lord. He walked in the way of his father, and in his sin with which he made Israel sin.

27. ఇశ్శాఖారు ఇంటి సంబంధుడును అహీయా కుమారుడునైన బయెషా అతనిమీద కుట్రచేసెను. నాదాబును ఇశ్రాయేలు వారందరును ఫిలిష్తీయుల సంబంధమైన గిబ్బెతోనునకు ముట్టడి వేయుచుండగా గిబ్బెతోనులో బయెషా అతని చంపెను.

27. Then Baasha the son of Ahijah of the family of Issachar made plans against him. Baasha killed him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. Nadab and all Israel had been gathering their army in battle around Gibbethon.

28. రాజైన ఆసాయేలుబడిలో మూడవ సంవత్సరమందు బయెషా అతని చంపి అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

28. So Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and ruled in his place.

29. తాను రాజు కాగానే ఇతడు యరొబాము సంతతి వారి నందరిని హతముచేసెను; ఎవనినైన యరొబామునకు సజీవు నిగా ఉండనియ్యక అందరిని నశింపజేసెను. తన సేవకుడైన షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయాద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకారముగా ఇది జరిగెను.

29. As soon as he was king, Baasha killed all those of the family of Jeroboam. He did not leave to Jeroboam any person alive, destroying them all. It happened just as the word of the Lord was spoken through God's servant Ahijah the Shilonite.

30. తాను చేసిన పాప ములచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపముచేయుటకు కారకుడై యరొబాము ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు కోపము పుట్టింపగా ఈలాగున జరిగెను.

30. It happened because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and which he made Israel sin. He made the Lord God of Israel angry.

31. నాదాబు చేసిన ఇతర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని నంతటిని గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

31. Now the rest of the acts of Nadab and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

32. వారి దినములన్నిటను ఆసా కును ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయెషాకును యుద్ధము జరుగు చుండెను.

32. And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

33. యూదారాజైన ఆసా యేలుబడిలో మూడవ సంవ త్సరమందు అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా తిర్సాయందు ఇశ్రాయేలువారినందరిని ఏలనారంభించి యిరువది నాలుగు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

33. In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah became king of all Israel at Tirzah. He ruled for twenty-four years.

34. ఇతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి యరొబాము దేనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడాయెనో దానినంతటిని అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించెను.

34. He did what was sinful in the eyes of the Lord. He walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his sin which he made Israel sin.
