1. ఈ సంగతులైన తరువాత యెజ్రెయేలులో షోమ్రోను రాజైన అహాబు నగరును ఆనుకొని యెజ్రెయేలువాడైన నాబోతునకు ఒక ద్రాక్షతోట కలిగియుండగా

1. And it cometh to pass, after these things, a vineyard hath been to Naboth the Jezreelite, that [is] in Jezreel, near the palace of Ahab king of Samaria,

2. అహాబు నాబోతును పిలిపించినీ ద్రాక్ష తోట నా నగరును ఆనుకొని యున్నది గనుక అది నాకు కూరతోటకిమ్ము దానికి ప్రతిగా దానికంటె మంచి ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిచ్చెదను, లేదా నీకు అనుకూలమైన యెడల దానిని క్రయమునకిమ్మని అడిగెను.

2. and Ahab speaketh unto Naboth, saying, 'Give to me thy vineyard, and it is to me for a garden of green herbs, for it [is] near by my house, and I give to thee in its stead a better vineyard than it; if good in thine eyes, I give to thee silver -- its price.'

3. అందుకు నాబోతు - నా పిత్రార్జితమును నీ కిచ్చుటకు నాకు ఎంతమాత్రమును వల్లపడదని చెప్పగా

3. And Naboth saith unto Ahab, 'Far be it from me, by Jehovah, my giving the inheritance of my fathers to thee;'

4. నా - పిత్రార్జితమును నీ కియ్యనని యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు తనతో చెప్పిన దానిని బట్టి అహాబు మూతి ముడుచుకొనినవాడై కోపముతో తన నగరునకు పోయి మంచముమీద పరుండి యెవరితోను మాటలాడకయు భోజనము చేయకయు ఉండెను.

4. and Ahab cometh in unto his house, sulky and wroth, because of the word that Naboth the Jezreelite hath spoken unto him when he saith, 'I do not give to thee the inheritance of my fathers,' and he lieth down on his bed, and turneth round his face, and hath not eaten bread.

5. అంతట అతని భార్యయైన యెజెబెలు వచ్చినీవు మూతి ముడుచుకొనినవాడవై భోజనము చేయక యుండెదవేమని అతని నడుగగా

5. And Jezebel his wife cometh in unto him, and speaketh unto him, 'What [is] this? -- thy spirit sulky, and thou art not eating bread!'

6. అతడు ఆమెతో ఇట్లనెనునీ ద్రాక్షతోటను క్రయమునకు నాకిమ్ము; లేక నీకు అనుకూలమైనయెడల దానికి మారుగా మరియొక ద్రాక్షతోట నీ కిచ్చెదనని, యెజ్రె యేలీయుడైన నాబోతుతో నేను చెప్పగా అతడునా ద్రాక్షతోట నీ కియ్యననెను.

6. And he saith unto her, 'Because I speak unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and say to him, Give to me thy vineyard for money, or if thou desire, I give to thee a vineyard in its stead; and he saith, I do not give to thee my vineyard.'

7. అందు కతని భార్యయైన యెజెబెలుఇశ్రాయేలులో నీవిప్పుడు రాజ్యపరిపాలనము చేయుటలేదా? లేచి భోజనము చేసి మనస్సులో సంతోషముగా ఉండుము; నేనే యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిప్పించెదనని అతనితో చెప్పి

7. And Jezebel his wife saith unto him, 'Thou now dost execute rule over Israel! rise, eat bread, and let thy heart be glad, -- I do give to thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.'

8. అహాబు పేరట తాకీదు వ్రాయించి అతని ముద్రతో ముద్రించి, ఆ తాకీదును నాబోతు నివాసము చేయుచున్న పట్టణపు పెద్దలకును సామంతులకును పంపెను.

8. And she writeth letters in the name of Ahab, and sealeth with his seal, and sendeth the letters unto the elders, and unto the freemen, who are in his city, those dwelling with Naboth,

9. ఆ తాకీదులో వ్రాయించిన దేమనగాఉపవాసదినము జరుగవలెనని మీరు చాటించి నాబోతును జనులయెదుట నిలువబెట్టి

9. and she writeth in the letters, saying, 'Proclaim a fast, and cause Naboth to sit at the head of the people,

10. నీవు దేవునిని రాజును దూషించితివని అతనిమీద సాక్ష్యము పలుకుటకు పనికిమాలిన యిద్దరు మనుష్యులను సిద్ధపరచుడి; తీర్పు అయినమీదట అతని బయటికి తీసికొని పోయి రాళ్లతో చావగొట్టుడి.

10. and cause two men -- sons of worthlessness -- to sit over-against him, and they testify of him, saying, Thou hast blessed God and Melech; and they have brought him out, and stoned him, and he dieth.'

11. అతని పట్టణపు పెద్దలును పట్టణమందు నివసించు సామంతులును యెజెబెలు తమకు పంపిన తాకీదు ప్రకారముగా జరిగించిరి.

11. And the men of his city, the elders and the freemen who are dwelling in his city, do as Jezebel hath sent unto them, as written in the letters that she sent unto them,

12. ఎట్లనగా వారు ఉపవాసదినము చాటించి నాబోతును జనుల యెదుట నిలువబెట్టిరి.

12. they have proclaimed a fast, and caused Naboth to sit at the head of the people,

13. అప్పుడు పనికిమాలిన యిద్దరు మనుష్యులు సమాజములో ప్రవేశించి అతని యెదుట కూర్చుండినాబోతు దేవునిని రాజును దూషించెనని జనుల సమక్షమున నాబోతుమీద సాక్ష్యము పలుకగా వారు పట్టణము బయటికి అతనిని తీసికొని పోయి రాళ్లతో చావగొట్టిరి.

13. and two men -- sons of worthlessness -- come in, and sit over-against him, and the men of worthlessness testify of him, even Naboth, before the people, saying, 'Naboth blessed God and Melech;' and they take him out to the outside of the city, and stone him with stones, and he dieth;

14. నాబోతు రాతిదెబ్బలచేత మరణమాయెనని వారు యెజె బెలునకు వర్తమానము పంపగా

14. and they send unto Jezebel, saying, 'Naboth was stoned, and is dead.'

15. నాబోతు రాతి దెబ్బల చేత మరణమాయెనని యెజెబెలు వినినాబోతు సజీవుడు కాడు, అతడు చనిపోయెను గనుక నీవు లేచి యెజ్రె యేలీయుడైన నాబోతు క్రయమునకు నీకియ్యనొల్లక పోయిన అతని ద్రాక్షతోటను స్వాధీనపరచుకొనుమని అహాబుతో చెప్పెను.

15. And it cometh to pass, at Jezebel's hearing that Naboth hath been stoned, and is dead, that Jezebel saith unto Ahab, 'Rise, possess the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, that he refused to give to thee for money, for Naboth is not alive but dead.'

16. నాబోతు చనిపోయెనని అహాబు విని లేచి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోటను స్వాధీన పరచుకొనబోయెను.

16. And it cometh to pass, at Ahab's hearing that Naboth is dead, that Ahab riseth to go down unto the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to possess it.

17. అప్పుడు యెహోవావాక్కు తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

17. And the word of Jehovah is unto Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

18. నీవు లేచి షోమ్రోనులోనున్న ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన అహాబును ఎదు ర్కొనుటకు బయలుదేరుము, అతడు నాబోతుయొక్క ద్రాక్షతోటలో ఉన్నాడు; అతడు దానిని స్వాధీనపరచు కొనబోయెను.

18. 'Rise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who [is] in Samaria, -- lo, in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he hath gone down to possess it,

19. నీవు అతని చూచి యీలాగు ప్రకటిం చుముయెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాదీని స్వాధీన పరచుకొనవలెనని నీవు నాబోతును చంపితివిగదా. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాఏ స్థలమందు కుక్కలు నాబోతు రక్తమును నాకెనో ఆ స్థలమందే కుక్కలు నీ రక్తమును నిజముగా నాకునని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

19. and thou hast spoken unto him, saying, Thus said Jehovah, Hast thou murdered, and also possessed? and thou hast spoken unto him, saying, Thus said Jehovah, In the place where the dogs licked the blood of Naboth, do the dogs lick thy blood, even thine.'

20. అంతట అహాబు ఏలీయాను చూచినా పగవాడా, నీ చేతిలో నేను చిక్కుబడితినా? అని పలుకగా ఏలీయా ఇట్లనెనుయెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడు చేయుటకు నిన్ను నీవే అమ్ముకొని యున్నావు గనుక నా చేతిలో నీవు చిక్కితివి.

20. And Ahab saith unto Elijah, 'Hast thou found me, O mine enemy?' and he saith, 'I have found -- because of thy selling thyself to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah;

21. అందుకు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునేను నీ మీదికి అపా యము రప్పించెదను; నీ సంతతివారిని నాశముచేతును; అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిలో అహాబు పక్షమున ఎవరును లేకుండ పురుషులనందరిని నిర్మూలముచేతును.

21. lo, I am bringing in unto thee evil, and have taken away thy posterity, and cut off to Ahab those sitting on the wall, and restrained, and left, in Israel,

22. ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు నీవు కారకుడవై నాకు కోపము పుట్టించితివి గనుక నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము కుటుంబమునకును అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా కుటుంబమునకును నేను చేసినట్లు నీ కుటుంబమునకు చేయుదునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

22. and given up thy house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah, for the provocation with which thou hast provoked [Me], and dost cause Israel to sin.

23. మరియు యెజెబెలునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగాయెజ్రెయేలు ప్రాకారమునొద్ద కుక్కలు యెజెబెలును తినివేయును.

23. 'And also of Jezebel hath Jehovah spoken, saying, The dogs do eat Jezebel in the bulwark of Jezreel;

24. పట్టణమందు చచ్చు అహాబు సంబంధికులను కుక్కలు తినివేయును; బయటిభూములలో చచ్చువారిని ఆకాశపక్షులు తినివేయును అని చెప్పెను

24. him who dieth of Ahab in a city do the dogs eat, and him who dieth in a field do fowl of the heavens eat;

25. తన భార్యయైన యెజెబెలు ప్రేరేపణచేత యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేయ తన్ను తాను అమ్ముకొనిన అహాబువంటి వాడు ఎవ్వడును లేడు.

25. surely there hath none been like Ahab, who sold himself to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, whom Jezebel his wife hath moved,

26. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుట నిలువకుండ యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన అమోరీయుల ఆచారరీతిగా విగ్రహములను పెట్టుకొని అతడు బహు హేయముగా ప్రవర్తించెను.

26. and he doth very abominably to go after the idols, according to all that the Amorite did whom Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel.'

27. అహాబు ఆ మాటలు విని తన వస్త్ర ములను చింపు కొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని ఉపవాసముండి, గోనెపట్టమీద పరుండి వ్యాకులపడుచుండగా

27. And it cometh to pass, at Ahab's hearing these words, that he rendeth his garments, and putteth sackcloth on his flesh, and fasteth, and lieth in sackcloth, and goeth gently.

28. యెహోవా వాక్కు తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

28. And the word of Jehovah is unto Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

29. అహాబు నాకు భయపడి వినయముగా ప్రవర్తించుట చూచితివా? నాకు భయపడి అతడు వినయముగా ప్రవర్తించుటచేత ఆ అపాయము అతని కాలమునందు సంభవింపకుండ ఆపి, అతని కుమారుని కాలమునందు అతని కుటుంబికులమీదికి నేను దాని రప్పించెదను.

29. 'Hast thou seen that Ahab hath been humbled before Me? because that he hath been humbled before Me, I bring not in the evil in his days; in the days of his son I bring in the evil on his house.'
