1. రెమల్యా కుమారుడైన పెకహు ఏలుబడిలో పదు నేడవ సంవత్సరమందు యూదారాజైన యోతాము కుమా రుడగు ఆహాజు ఏలనారంభించెను.

1. In the seuententh yeare of Pecah ye sonne of Romelia, was Achas the sonne of Iotham kynge of Iuda.

2. ఆహాజు ఏలనారంభించి నప్పుడు ఇరువది యేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేమునందు పదు నారు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను. తన పితరుడగు దావీదు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దృష్టికి నీతిగా ప్రవర్తించినట్లు అతడు ప్రవర్తింపక ఇశ్రాయేలురాజులు ప్రవర్తించినట్లు ప్రవర్తించెను.

2. Twetye yeare olde was Achas wha he was made kynge, & reigned sixtene yeare at Ierusalem, & dyd not yt which was righte in the sighte of ye LORDE his God, as dyd Dauid his father:

3. అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ముందర నిలువ కుండ యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన జనులు చేసిన హేయమైన క్రియలు చేయుచు, తన కుమారుని అగ్నిగుండమును దాటించెను.

3. for he walked in the waye of the kynges of Israel, Yee and caused his sonne to go thorow the fyre, after the maner of the abhominacions of the Heythen, whom the LORDE droue awaye before the childre of Israel.

4. మరియు అతడు ఉన్నత స్థలములలోను కొండమీదను సమస్తమైన పచ్చని వృక్షములక్రిందను బలులు అర్పించుచు ధూపము వేయుచు వచ్చెను.

4. And he dyd sacrifice, and brent incense vpon the hye places, & vpon all hilles, and amonge all grene trees.

5. సిరియా రాజైన రెజీనును ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన రెమల్యా కుమారుడగు పెకహును యెరూషలేముమీదికి యుద్ధమునకువచ్చి అక్కడ నున్న ఆహాజును పట్టణమును ముట్టడివేసిరి గాని అతనిని జయింపలేక పోయిరి.

5. Then wente Rezin the kynge of Syria, and Pecah the sonne of Romelia kynge of Israel vp to Ierusalem to fighte agaynst it, and layed sege to Achas: but they coulde not wynne it.

6. ఆ కాలమందు సిరియారాజైన రెజీను ఏలతును మరల పట్టుకొని సిరియనుల వశముచేసి, ఏలతులోనుండి యూదావారిని వెళ్లగొట్టగా సిరియనులు ఏలతు పట్టణమునకు వచ్చి కాపురముండిరి. నేటివరకును వారచ్చటనే యున్నారు.

6. At the same tyme dyd Rezin the kynge of Syria, brynge Eloth agayne vnto Syria, and thrust ye Iewes out of Eloth. But the Syrians came & dwelt therin vnto this daye.

7. ఇట్లుండగా ఆహాజు యెహోవా మందిర సంబంధమైనట్టియు రాజనగరు సంబంధమైనట్టియు సామగ్రులలో కనబడిన వెండి బంగారములను తీసికొని అష్షూరురాజునకు కానుకగా పంపి

7. Neuertheles Achas sent messaungers vnto Teglatphalasser ye kynge of Assiria, sayege: I am thy seruaunt & thy sonne, come vp & helpe me out of ye hande of the kynge of Syria, & of the kynge of Israel, which are rysen vp agaynst me.

8. నేను నీ దాసుడను నీ కుమారుడనైయున్నాను గనుక నీవు వచ్చి, నామీదికి లేచిన సిరియారాజు చేతిలోనుండియు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజు చేతిలోనుండియు నన్ను రక్షింపవలెనని అష్షూరు రాజైన తిగ్లత్పిలేసెరునొద్దకు దూతలనంపగా

8. And Achas toke the syluer & golde yt was founde in ye house of ye LORDE, & in the treasures of ye kynges house, & sent a present to ye kynge of Assiria.

9. అష్షూరు రాజు అతనిమాట అంగీకరించి, దమస్కు పట్టణముమీదికి వచ్చి దాని పట్టుకొని, రెజీనును హతముచేసి ఆ జనులను కీరు పట్టణమునకు చెరదీసికొని పోయెను.

9. And ye kinge of Assiria cosented vnto him, & wente vp to Damascon, & wanne it, & caried them awaye vnto Cira, & slewe Rezin.

10. రాజైన ఆహాజు అష్షూరురాజైన తిగ్లత్పిలేసెరును కలిసికొనుటకై దమస్కు పట్టణమునకు వచ్చి, దమస్కు పట్టణమందు ఒక బలిపీఠమును చూచి, దాని పోలికెను, మచ్చును, దాని పని విధ మంతయును యాజకుడైన ఊరియాకు పంపెను.

10. And kynge Achas wete to Damascon for to mete Teglatphalasser ye kynge of Assiria. And wha he sawe an altare yt was at Damascon, kynge Achas sent a patrone & symilitude of ye same altare vnto the prest Vrias, euen as it was made.

11. కాబట్టి యాజకుడైన ఊరియా రాజైన ఆహాజు దమస్కుపట్టణము నుండి పంపిన మచ్చునకు సమమైన యొక బలిపీఠమును కట్టించి, రాజైన ఆహాజు దమస్కునుండి తిరిగి రాకమునుపే సిద్ధపరచెను.

11. And Vrias the prest buylded an altare, and made it acordinge as kynge Achas had sent vnto him from Damascon, tyll Achas ye kynge came from Damascon.

12. అంతట రాజు దమస్కునుండి వచ్చి బలిపీఠమును చూచి ఆ బలిపీఠమునొద్దకు వచ్చి దాని ఎక్కి

12. And whan ye kynge came from Damascon, and sawe the altare, he offred theron,

13. దహన బలిని నైవేద్యమును అర్పించి పానార్పణము చేసి, తాను అర్పించిన సమాధానబలిపశువుల రక్తమును దానిమీద ప్రోక్షించెను.

13. & kyndled his burntofferynges and meatofferynges vpon it, and poured his drynkofferinges theron, & caused the bloude of ye deedofferynges which he offred, to be sprenkled vpon the altare.

14. మరియు యెహోవా సన్నిధి నున్న యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము మందిరము ముంగిటి స్థలమునుండి అనగా తాను కట్టించిన బలిపీఠమునకును యెహోవా మందిరమునకును మధ్యనుండి తీయించి, తాను కట్టించిన దాని ఉత్తర పార్శ్వమందు దానిని ఉంచెను.

14. But the brasen altare that stode before the LORDE, put he awaye, so that it stode not betwene the altare and the house of the LORDE, but set it in the corner on the north syde of the altare.

15. అప్పుడు రాజైన ఆహాజు యాజకుడైన ఊరియాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన దేమనగాఈ పెద్ద బలిపీఠముమీద ఉదయము అర్పించు దహనబలులను, సాయంత్రమున అర్పించు నైవేద్యములను రాజు చేయు దహనబలి నైవేద్యములను దేశపు జనులందరు అర్పించు దహనబలి నైవేద్యములను పానార్పణలను దహించి, యే దహనబలి జరిగినను, ఏ బలిజరిగినను వాటి పశువుల రక్తమును దానిమీదనే ప్రోక్షింపవలెను. అయితే ఈ యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము దేవునియొద్ద నేను విచారణ చేయుట కుంచవలెను.

15. And Achas the kynge comaunded Vrias ye prest, & sayde: Vpo the greate altare shalt thou kyndle ye burntoffrynge in the mornynge, & the meatoffrynge in the euenynge, & the kynges burntoffrynge & his meatoffrynge, & the burntoffrynge of all the people in the londe, wt their meatoffrynge & drynkoffrynge. And all the bloude of the burntofferynges, & all the bloude of the other offrynges shalt thou sprenkle theron: but with the brasen altare wyll I deuyse what I can.

16. కాగా యాజ కుడైన ఊరియా రాజైన ఆహాజు ఆజ్ఞ చొప్పున అంతయుచేసెను.

16. Vrias the prest dyd all acordinge as Achas the kynge commaunded him.

17. మరియు రాజైన ఆహాజు స్తంభముల అంచులను తీసివేసి వాటిమీదనున్న తొట్టిని తొలగించెను, ఇత్తడి యెడ్లమీద నున్న సముద్రమును దింపి రాతి కట్టుమీద దానిని ఉంచెను.

17. And kynge Achas brake downe the seates, and put a waye the ketell from aboue, and toke the lauer from the brasen bullockes that were there vnder, and set it vpon ye pauement of stone.

18. మరియు అతడు అష్షూరు రాజునుబట్టి విశ్రాంతిదినపు ఆచరణకొరకై మందిరములో కట్టబడిన మంటపమును, రాజు ఆవరణముగుండ పోవు ద్వారమును యెహోవా మందిరమునుండి తీసివేసెను.

18. And the pulpit for the Sabbath which they had buylded in the house, and ye entrye of the kynges house turned he vnto the house of the LORDE, for the kynge of Assirias sake.

19. ఆహాజుచేసిన యితర కార్య ములనుగూర్చి యూదా రాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

19. What more there is to saye of Achas, what he dyd, beholde, it is wrytten in ye Cronicles of the kynges of Iuda.

20. ఆహాజు తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించి దావీదు పురమందు తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతి పెట్టబడెను; అతని కుమారుడైన హిజ్కియా అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

20. And Achas fell on slepe with his fathers, & was buried wt his fathers in the cite of Dauid. And Ezechias his sonne was kynge in his steade.
