1. In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem with his entire army; he pitched camp in front of the city and threw up earthworks round it.

2. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన సిద్కియా యేలు బడియందు పదకొండవ సంవత్సరము వరకు పట్టణము ముట్టడివేయబడియుండగా

2. The city lay under siege till the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.

3. నాల్గవ నెల తొమ్మిదవ దిన మందు పట్టణములో క్షామము అఘోరమాయెను, దేశపు జనులకు ఆహారము లేకపోయెను.

3. In the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, when famine was raging in the city and there was no food for the populace,

4. కల్దీయులు పట్టణ ప్రాకారమును పడగొట్టగా సైనికులు రాత్రియందు రాజు తోటదగ్గర రెండు గోడల మధ్యనున్న ద్వారపు మార్గమున పారిపోయిరి.

4. a breach was made in the city wall. The king then made his escape under cover of dark, with all the fighting men, by way of the gate between the two walls, which is near the king's garden -- the Chaldaeans had surrounded the city -- and made his way towards the Arabah.

5. అయితే కల్దీయులు పట్టణముచుట్టు ఉండగా రాజు మైదానమునకు పోవుమార్గమున వెళ్లి పోయెను; కల్దీయుల సైన్యము రాజును తరిమి, అతని సైన్యము అతనికి దూరముగా చెదరిపోయినందున యెరికో మైదానమందు అతని పట్టుకొనిరి.

5. The Chaldaean troops pursued the king and caught up with him in the Plains of Jericho, where all his troops deserted.

6. The Chaldaeans captured the king and took him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, who passed sentence on him.

7. He had Zedekiah's sons slaughtered before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah's eyes and, loading him with chains, carried him off to Babylon.

8. In the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month -- it was in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon -- Nebuzaradan commander of the guard, a member of the king of Babylon's staff, entered Jerusalem.

9. యెహోవా మందిరమును రాజనగరును యెరూషలేము నందున్న యిండ్లన్నిటిని గొప్పవారి యిండ్లన్నిటిని అగ్నిచేత కాల్పించెను.

9. He burned down the Temple of Yahweh, the royal palace and all the houses in Jerusalem.

10. మరియు రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధి పతియొద్దనున్న కల్దీయుల సైనికులందరును యెరూషలేము చుట్టునున్న ప్రాకారములను పడగొట్టిరి.

10. The Chaldaean troops who accompanied the commander of the guard demolished the walls surrounding Jerusalem.

11. పట్టణమందు మిగిలి యుండిన వారిని, బబులోనురాజు పక్షము చేరిన వారిని, సామాన్యజనులలో శేషించినవారిని రాజదేహ సంరక్షకుల అధిపతియైన నెబూజరదాను చెరగొని పోయెను గాని

11. Nebuzaradan commander of the guard deported the remainder of the population left in the city, the deserters who had gone over to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the common people.

12. వ్యవసాయదారులును ద్రాక్షతోట వారును ఉండవలెనని దేశపు బీదజనములో కొందరిని ఉండనిచ్చెను.

12. But the commander of the guard left some of the poor country people behind as vineyard workers and ploughmen.

13. మరియు యెహోవా మందిరమందున్న యిత్తిడి స్తంభములను మట్లను యెహోవా మందిరమందున్న యిత్తడి సముద్రమును కల్దీయులు తునకలుగా కొట్టి, ఆ యిత్తడిని బబులోను పట్టణమునకు ఎత్తికొనిపోయిరి.

13. The Chaldaeans broke up the bronze pillars from the Temple of Yahweh, the wheeled stands and the bronze Sea, which were in the Temple of Yahweh, and took the bronze away to Babylon.

14. సేవకొరకై యుంచబడిన పాత్రలను చేటలను ముండ్లను ధూపార్తులను ఇత్తడి ఉపకరణములన్నిటిని వారు తీసికొని పోయిరి.

14. They also took the ash containers, the scoops, the knives, the incense boats, and all the bronze furnishings used in worship.

15. అగ్నిపాత్రలు గిన్నెలు మొదలైన వెండి వస్తువులను బంగారు వస్తువులను రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతి తీసికొనిపోయెను.

15. The commander of the guard also took the censers and the sprinkling bowls, everything made of gold and everything made of silver.

16. మరియు అతడు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు సొలొమోను చేయించిన రెండు స్తంభములను సముద్రమును మట్లను తీసికొనిపోయెను. ఈ యిత్తడి వస్తువులయెత్తు లెక్కకు మించియుండెను.

16. As regards the two pillars, the one Sea and the wheeled stands, which Solomon of bronze in all these objects.

17. The height of one pillar was eighteen cubits, and on it stood a capital of bronze, the height of the capital being five cubits; round the capital were filigree and pomegranates, all in bronze. So also for the second pillar.

19. In the city he took prisoner an official who was in command of the fighting men, five of the king's personal friends who were discovered in the city, the secretary to the army commander, responsible for military conscription, and sixty men of distinction discovered in the city.

20. రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతియగు నెబూజరదాను వీరిని తీసికొని రిబ్లా పట్టణమందున్న బబులోనురాజునొద్దకు రాగా

20. Nebuzaradan commander of the guard took these men and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah,

21. బబులోనురాజు హమాతు దేశమందున్న రిబ్లా పట్టణమందు వారిని చంపించెను. ఈ రీతిగా యూదా వారు తమ దేశములోనుండి ఎత్తికొని పోబడిరి.

21. and at Riblah in the territory of Hamath the king of Babylon had them put to death. Thus Judah was deported from its country.

22. బబు లోను రాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరు యూదా దేశమందు ఉండనిచ్చిన వారిమీద అతడు షాఫానునకు పుట్టిన అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను అధిపతిగా నిర్ణయించెను.

22. For the people remaining in the country of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left behind, he appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan as governor.

23. యూదావారి సైన్యాధిపతులందరును వారి జనులంద రును బబులోనురాజు గెదల్యాను అధిపతిగా నియమించిన సంగతి విని, మిస్పాపట్టణమందున్న గెదల్యాయొద్దకు నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును, కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును, నెటోపాతీయుడైన తన్హుమెతు కుమారుడగు శెరాయాయును, మాయకాతీయుడైన యొకనికిపుట్టిన యజన్యాను కూడి రాగా

23. When the military leaders and their men all heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah as governor, they went to him at Mizpah: Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan son of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, Jaazaniah the Maacathite, they and their men.

24. గెదల్యావారితోను వారి జనులతోను ప్రమాణముచేసికల్దీయులకు మనము దాసులమైతిమని జడియవద్దు, దేశమందు కాపురముండి బబులోను రాజునకు మీరు సేవచేసినయెడల మీకు మేలు కలుగునని చెప్పెను.

24. To them and to their men Gedaliah swore an oath. 'Do not be afraid of the Chaldaeans,' he said, 'stay in the country, serve the king of Babylon, and all will go well with you.'

25. But in the seventh month, Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, who was of royal descent, and ten men with him, came and murdered Gedaliah, as well as the Judaeans and Chaldaeans who were with him at Mizpah.

26. అప్పుడు కొద్దివారేమి గొప్ప వారేమి జనులందరును, సైన్యాధిపతులును, లేచి కల్దీయుల భయముచేత ఐగుప్తుదేశమునకు పారిపోయిరి.

26. Then all the people, high and low, with the military leaders, set off and went to Egypt, being afraid of the Chaldaeans.

27. యూదారాజైన యెహోయాకీను చెరలో ఉంచబడిన ముప్పదియేడవ సంవత్సరమున పండ్రెండవ నెల యిరువది యేడవ దినమున బబులోనురాజైన ఎవీల్మెరోదకు తాను ఏలనారంభించిన సంవత్సర మందు బందీగృహములోనుండి యూదారాజైన యెహోయాకీనును తెప్పించి

27. In the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year he came to the throne, pardoned Jehoiachin king of Judah and released him from prison.

28. అతనితో దయగా మాటలాడి, అతని పీఠమును బబులోనులో తన యొద్దనున్న రాజుల పీఠములకంటె ఎత్తుచేసెను.

28. He treated him with kindness and allotted him a seat above those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.

29. కాగా అతడు తన బందీగృహ వస్త్రములను తీసివేసి వేరు వస్త్ర ములను ధరించుకొని తాను బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు రాజు సన్నిధిని భోజనముచేయుచు వచ్చెను.

29. So Jehoiachin laid aside his prisoner's garb, and for the rest of his life always ate at the king's table.

30. మరియు అతని బత్తెము ఏనాటికి ఆనాడు రాజుచేత నిర్ణయింపబడినదై అతడు బ్రదికినన్నాళ్లు ఆ చొప్పున అతని కియ్యబడు చుండెను.

30. And his upkeep was permanently ensured by the king, day after day, for the rest of his life.
