1. One day Elisha the prophet ordered a member of the guild of prophets, 'Get yourself ready, take a flask of oil, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

2. అచ్చట ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెక్కడ నున్నాడని తెలిసికొని అతనిని దర్శించి, అతని సహోదరుల మధ్యనుండి అతనిని చాటుగా రప్పించి, లోపలి గదిలోకి అతనిని పిలుచుకొని పోయి

2. Look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi. When you find him, get him away from his companions and take him to a back room.

3. తైలపుగిన్నె తీసికొని అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసినేను నిన్ను ఇశ్రాయేలుమీద పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేసితినని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడని అతనితో చెప్పి, ఆలస్యము చేయక తలుపుతీసి పారి పొమ్ము.

3. Take your flask of oil and pour it over his head and say, 'GOD's word: I anoint you king over Israel.' Then open the door and get out of there as fast as you can. Don't wait around.'

4. ¸యౌవనుడైన ఆ ప్రవక్త పోవలెనని బయలుదేరి రామోత్గిలాదునకు వచ్చునప్పటికి సైన్యాధిపతులు కూర్చుని యుండిరి.

4. The young prophet went to Ramoth Gilead.

5. అప్పుడతడు అధిపతీ, నీకొక సమాచారము తెచ్చితినని చెప్పగా యెహూయిందరిలో అది ఎవరిని గూర్చినదని అడుగగా అతడు అధిపతీ నిన్ను గూర్చినదే యనెను; అందుకు యెహూ లేచి యింటిలో ప్రవేశిం చెను.

5. On arrival he found the army officers all sitting around. He said, 'I have a matter of business with you, officer.' Jehu said, 'Which one of us?' 'With you, officer.'

6. అప్పుడు ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసి అతనితో ఇట్లనెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాయెహోవా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిమీద నేను నిన్ను పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేయుచున్నాను.

6. He got up and went inside the building. The young prophet poured the oil on his head and said, 'GOD's word, the God of Israel: I've anointed you to be king over the people of GOD, over Israel.

7. Your assignment is to attack the regime of Ahab your master. I am avenging the massacre of my servants the prophets--yes, the Jezebel-massacre of all the prophets of GOD.

8. The entire line of Ahab is doomed. I'm wiping out the entire bunch of that sad lot.

9. నెబాతు కుమారు డైన యరొబాము కుటుంబికులను అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా కుటుంబికులను నేను అప్పగించినట్లు అహాబు కుటుంబికులను నేను అప్పగించుదును.

9. I'll see to it that the family of Ahab experiences the same fate as the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the family of Baasha son of Ahijah.

10. యెజెబెలు పాతి పెట్టబడక యెజ్రెయేలు భూభాగమందు కుక్కలచేత తినివేయబడును. ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు ఈ మాటలు చెప్పి తలుపుతీసి పారిపోయెను.

10. As for Jezebel, the dogs will eat her carcass in the open fields of Jezreel. No burial for her!' Then he opened the door and made a run for it.

11. యెహూ బయలుదేరి తన యజమానుని సేవకులయొద్దకు రాగా ఒకడుఏమి సంభ వించినది? ఆ వెఱ్ఱివాడు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చిన హేతువేమని అతని నడుగగా, అతడువానిని వాని మాటలు మీరెరిగెయున్నారని చెప్పెను.

11. Jehu went back out to his master's officers. They asked, 'Is everything all right? What did that crazy fool want with you?' He said, 'You know that kind of man--all talk.'

13. They sprang into action. Each man grabbed his robe; they piled them at the top of the steps for a makeshift throne. Then they blew the trumpet and declared, 'Jehu is king!'

14. ఈ ప్రకారము నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెహోరాముమీద కుట్రచేసెను. అప్పుడు యెహోరామును ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలును ఎదిరించుటకై రామో త్గిలాదు దగ్గర కావలి యుండిరి.

14. That ignited the conspiracy of Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi against Joram. Meanwhile, Joram and the entire army were defending Ramoth Gilead against Hazael king of Aram.

15. అయితే యెహోరాము సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలుతో యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా సిరియనులవలన తాను పొందిన గాయములను బాగు చేసి కొనుటకై యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి తిరిగి వచ్చియుండెను. అంతట యెహూనీకనుకూలమైతే ఈ సంగతి తెలియ బడకుండునట్లు ఈ పట్టణములోనుండి యెవనినైనను యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి తప్పించుకొని పోనియ్యకుమని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి

15. Except that Joram had pulled back to Jezreel to convalesce from the injuries he got from the Arameans in the battle with Hazael king of Aram. Jehu said, 'If you really want me as king, don't let anyone sneak out of the city and blab the news in Jezreel.'

16. రథముయెక్కి, యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరిలో యెహో రాము మంచము పట్టియుండగా అచ్చటికి పోయెను మరియు యూదా రాజైన అహజ్యా యెహోరామును దర్శించుటకై అచ్చటికి వచ్చి యుండెను.

16. Then Jehu mounted a chariot and rode to Jezreel, where Joram was in bed, resting. King Ahaziah of Judah had come down to visit Joram.

17. యెజ్రెయేలు గోపురముమీద కావలివాడు నిలిచి యుండి, యెహూతో కలిసి వచ్చుచున్న సైన్యమును చూచిసైన్యమొకటి నాకు కనబడుచున్నదని తెలియజెప్పగా యెహోరాము ఒక రౌతును పిలిచివారిని ఎదుర్కొనబోయిసమా ధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా అని అడుగుమని చెప్పి, పంపుమని వానితో సెలవిచ్చెను.

17. A sentry standing duty on the watchtower in Jezreel saw the company of Jehu arrive. He said, 'I see a band of men.' Joram said, 'Get a horseman and send him out to meet them and inquire, 'Is anything wrong?''

18. కాబట్టి యొకడు గుఱ్ఱ మెక్కిపోయి అతనిని ఎదుర్కొనిసమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా? అని అడుగుమని రాజు నన్ను పంపెననగా యెహూసమాధానముతో నీకేమి పని? నీవు నా వెనుకకు తిరిగిరమ్మని వానితో చెప్పగా ఆ కావలివాడుపంపబడినవాడు వారిని కలిసికొనెను గాని తిరిగి రాక నిలిచెనని సమాచారము తెలిపెను.

18. The horseman rode out to meet Jehu and said, 'The king wants to know if there's anything wrong.' Jehu said, 'What's it to you whether things are right or wrong? Fall in behind me.' The sentry said, 'The messenger reached them, but he's not returning.'

19. రాజు రెండవ రౌతును పంపగా వాడు వారియొద్దకు వచ్చిసమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా? అని అడుగుమని రాజు నన్ను పంపెననగా యెహూసమధానముతో నీకేమి పని? నా వెనుకకు తిరిగి రమ్మని వానితో చెప్పెను.

19. The king then sent a second horseman. When he reached them he said, 'The king wants to know if there's anything wrong.' Jehu said, 'What's it to you whether things are right or wrong? Fall in behind me.'

20. అప్పుడు కావలి వాడువీడును వారిని కలిసికొని తిరిగిరాక నిలిచెను మరియు అతడు వెఱ్ఱి తోలడము తోలుచున్నాడు గనుక అది నింషీకుమారుడైన యెహూ తోలడమువలెనే యున్న దనెను.

20. The sentry said, 'The messenger reached them, but he's not returning. The driving is like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi--crazy!'

21. రథము సిద్ధము చేయుమని యెహోరాము సెల వియ్యగా వారు అతని రథము సిద్ధముచేసిరి. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన యెహోరామును యూదారాజైన అహజ్యాయును తమ తమ రథములనెక్కి యెహూను కలియబోయి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు అతనిని ఎదుర్కొనిరి.

21. Joram ordered, 'Get my chariot ready!' They hitched up his chariot. Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah, each in his own chariot, drove out to meet Jehu. They met in the field of Naboth of Jezreel.

22. అంతట యెహోరాముయెహూను చూచియెహూ సమాధానమా? అని అడు గగా యెహూనీ తల్లియైన యెజెబెలు జారత్వములును చిల్లంగి తనములును ఇంత యపరిమితమై యుండగా సమా ధాన మెక్కడనుండి వచ్చుననెను.

22. When Joram saw Jehu he called out, 'Good day, Jehu!' Jehu answered, 'What's good about it? How can there be anything good about it as long as the promiscuous whoring and sorceries of your mother Jezebel pollute the country?'

23. యెహోరాము రథము త్రిప్పి అహజ్యా, ద్రోహము జరుగుచున్నదని అహజ్యాతో చెప్పి పారిపోయెను.

23. Joram wheeled his chariot around and fled, yelling to Ahaziah, 'It's a trap, Ahaziah!'

24. అప్పుడు యెహూ తన బలముకొలది విల్లు ఎక్కు పెట్టి యెహోరామును భుజ ములమధ్య కొట్టగా బాణము అతని గుండెగుండ దూసి పోయెను గనుక అతడు తన రథమునందే యొరిగెను.

24. Jehu pulled on his bow and released an arrow; it hit Joram between the shoulder blades and went right through his heart. He slumped to his knees in his chariot.

25. కాగా యెహూ తన అధిపతియైన బిద్కరును పిలిచి యిట్లనెను అతని ఎత్తి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము; మనమిద్దరమును అతని తండ్రియైన అహాబు వెనుక గుఱ్ఱములెక్కి వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా అతనిమీద ఈ శిక్షమోపిన సంగతి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.

25. Jehu ordered Bidkar, his lieutenant, 'Quick--throw him into the field of Naboth of Jezreel. Remember when you and I were driving our chariots behind Ahab his father? That's when GOD pronounced this doom upon him:

26. అప్పుడు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగా నిశ్చయముగా నాబోతు రక్తమును వాని కుమారుల రక్తమును నిన్నటి దినమున నేను చూచితిని గనుక ఈ భూభాగమందు నేను దానికి ప్రతికారము చేయుదును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. కాబట్టి నీవు యెహోవా మాట చొప్పున అతని ఎత్తి యీ భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము అనెను.

26. 'As surely as I saw the blood of murdered Naboth and his sons yesterday, you'll pay for it on this exact piece of ground. GOD's word!' So take him and throw him out in the field. GOD's instructions carried out to the letter!'

27. యూదారాజైన అహజ్యా జరిగిన దాని చూచి వనములోని నగరి మార్గముగా పారిపోయెను; అయినను యెహూ అతని తరిమి, రథమునందు అతని హతముచేయుడని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను గనుక వారు ఇబ్లెయాము దగ్గరనున్న గూరునకు పోవు మార్గమందు అతని కొట్టగా అతడు మెగిద్దోకు పారిపోయి అచ్చట మరణమాయెను.

27. Ahaziah king of Judah saw what was going on and made his escape on the road toward Beth Haggan. Jehu chased him, yelling out, 'Get him, too!' Jehu's troops shot and wounded him in his chariot on the hill up to Gur, near Ibleam. He was able to make it as far as Megiddo; there he died.

28. అప్పుడు అతని సేవకులు అతనిని రథముమీద వేసి యెరూషలేమునకు తీసికొని పోయి దావీదు పురమందు అతని పితరుల సమా ధిలో అతని పాతిపెట్టిరి.

28. His aides drove on to Jerusalem. They buried him in the family plot in the City of David.

29. అహజ్యా అహాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోరాము ఏలు బడిలో పదకొండవ సంవత్సరమందు యూదాను ఏల నారంభించెను.

29. In the eleventh year of the reign of Joram son of Ahab, Ahaziah had become king of Judah.

30. యెహూ యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి వచ్చిన సంగతి యెజె బెలునకు వినబడెను గనుక ఆమె తన ముఖమునకు రంగు పూసికొని శిరోభూషణములు ధరించుకొని కిటికీలోనుండి కనిపెట్టి చూచుచుండగా

30. When Jezebel heard that Jehu had arrived in Jezreel, she made herself up--put on eyeshadow and arranged her hair--and posed seductively at the window.

31. యెహూ గుమ్మముద్వారా ప్రవేశించెను. ఆమె అతనిని చూచినీ యజమానుని చంపినవాడా, జిమీ వంటివాడా, నీవు సమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నావా అని అడుగగా

31. When Jehu came through the city gate, she called down, 'So, how are things, 'Zimri,' you dashing king-killer?'

32. అతడు తలయెత్తి కిటికీ తట్టు చూచినా పక్షమందున్న వారెవరని అడుగగా ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు పరిచారకులు పైనుండి తొంగిచూచిరి.

32. Jehu looked up at the window and called, 'Is there anybody up there on my side?' Two or three palace eunuchs looked out.

33. He ordered, 'Throw her down!' They threw her out the window. Her blood spattered the wall and the horses, and Jehu trampled her under his horse's hooves.

34. Then Jehu went inside and ate his lunch. During lunch he gave orders, 'Take care of that damned woman; give her a decent burial--she is, after all, a king's daughter.'

35. They went out to bury her, but there was nothing left of her but skull, feet, and hands.

36. They came back and told Jehu. He said, 'It's GOD's word, the word spoken by Elijah the Tishbite: In the field of Jezreel, dogs will eat Jezebel;

37. యెజెబెలుయొక్క కళేబరము యెజ్రెయేలు భూభాగ మందున్న పెంటవలె నుండును అని తన సేవకుడును తిష్బీ యుడునగు ఏలీయాద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాట చొప్పున యిది జరిగెను.

37. The body of Jezebel will be like dog-droppings on the ground in Jezreel. Old friends and lovers will say, 'I wonder, is this Jezebel?''
