1. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును హెబ్రోనులో నుండు దావీదునొద్దకు కూడి వచ్చిచిత్తగిం చుము, మేము నీకు ఎముకనంటినవారము రక్తసంబంధులము.

1. Then all Israel gathered them selues to Dauid vnto Hebron, saying:

2. ఇంతకు ముందు సౌలు రాజైయున్నప్పుడు నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నడిపించువాడవై యుంటివినా జనులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులను నీవు ఏలి వారిమీద అధిపతిగా ఉందువని నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు సెలవిచ్చెను అని మనవిచేసిరి.

2. Beholde, we be thy bones, and thy fleshe: And moreouer in tyme past, euen when Saul was king, thou leddest Israel out & in: And the Lorde thy God sayde vnto thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be captayne ouer my people Israel.

3. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలందరును హెబ్రోనులోనున్న రాజు నొద్దకు రాగా దావీదు హెబ్రోనులో యెహోవా సన్నిధిని వారితో నిబంధనచేసెను; అప్పుడు వారు సమూ యేలుద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకారము దావీదును ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీద రాజుగా అభిషేకము చేసిరి.

3. Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron, and Dauid made a couenaunt with them in Hebro before the Lorde: And they annoynted Dauid king ouer Israel according to the worde of the Lorde, by the hande of Samuel.

4. తరువాత దావీదును ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరును యెరూషలే మనబడిన యెబూసునకు పోయిరి; ఆ దేశవాసులైన యెబూసీయులు అచ్చట ఉండిరి.

4. And Dauid and all Israel went to Hierusalem (which is Iebus, where as were the Iebusites, the inhabiters of the lande.)

5. అప్పుడునీవు వీనియందు ప్రవేశింపకూడదని యెబూసు కాపురస్థులు దావీదుతో అనగా దావీదు దావీదు పట్టణమనబడిన సీయోను కోటను పట్టుకొనెను.

5. And the inhabiters of Iebus sayde to Dauid: Thou commest not in here. Neuerthelesse, Dauid wan the castel of Sion: which is called the citie of Dauid.

6. ఎవడు మొదట యెబూ సీయులను హతము చేయునో వాడు ముఖ్యుడును సైన్యాధిపతియునగునని దావీదు సెలవియ్యగా సెరూయా కుమారుడైన యోవాబు అందరికంటె ముందుగా ఎక్కి ఆ యాధిపత్యమును పొందెను.

6. And Dauid sayde: Whosoeuer smyteth the Iebusites first, shalbe the principall captayne, and a lorde. So Ioab the sonne of Zaruia went first vp, and was made the chiefe captayne.

7. తరువాత దావీదు ఆ కోటయందు నివాసము చేసినందున దానికి దావీదుపురమను పేరు కలిగెను.

7. And Dauid dwelt in the castell [Sion] and therefore they called it the citie of Dauid.

8. దావీదు మిల్లో మొదలుకొని చుట్టును పట్టణమును కట్టించెను; యోవాబు పట్టణములో మిగిలిన భాగములను బాగుచేసెను.

8. And he built the citie on euery syde, euen from Millo round about: and Ioab repaired the rest of the citie.

9. సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా అతనికి తోడైయుండగా దావీదు ఈ ప్రకారము అంతకంతకు అధికుడగుచుండెను.

9. And Dauid prospered & waxed great, & the Lorde of hoastes was with him.

10. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకా రము దావీదును పట్టాభిషేకము చేయుటకై అతని రాజ్యము నందు అతనితోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితోను కూడి సహాయముచేసిన దావీదునొద్దనున్న పరాక్రమశాలులైన వారిలో ప్రధానులు వీరు.

10. These are the principall men of power whom Dauid had, and that claue to him in his kingdome with all Israel to make him king, according to the word of the Lorde ouer Israel.

11. దావీదు నొద్దనుండిన ఆ పరాక్రమశాలుల పట్టీలోనివారు ముప్పదిమంది; వారిలో హక్మోనీ కుమారుడైన యాషాబాము ముఖ్యుడు;ఇతడు ఒక యుద్ధమందు మూడు వందలమందిని చంపి వారిమీద ఈటె ఆడించినవాడు.

11. And this is the number of the mightie men whom Dauid had: Iosobeam the sonne of Hachmoni the chiefe among thirtie: he lift vp his speare against three hundred, and wounded [them] at one tyme.

12. ఇతని తరువాతివాడు అహోహీయుడగు దోదోకుమారుడైన ఎలియాజరు; ఇతడు పరాక్రమ శాలులని పేరుపొందిన ముగ్గురిలో ఒకడు.

12. After him was Eleazar his vncles sonne an Ahothite, which was one of the three mightiest:

13. ఫిలిష్తీయులు దానినిండ యవలుగల చేను ఉన్న పస్దమీ్మములో యుద్ధము చేయుటకై కూడిరాగా జనులు ఫిలిష్తీయులను చూచి పారిపోయినప్పుడు ఇతడు దావీదుతోకూడ అచ్చట ఉండెను.

13. He was with Dauid at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battaile: And there was there a parcell of grounde full of barly, and the people fled before the Philistines.

14. వీరు ఆ చేనిలో నిలిచి దాని కాపాడి ఫిలిష్తీయులను హతముచేయగా యెహోవా జనులకు గొప్ప రక్షణ కలుగజేసెను.

14. And they stept foorth into the middest of the fielde, and saued it, and slue the Philistines, and the Lorde gaue a great victorie.

15. ముప్పదిమంది పరాక్రమ శాలులలో ముఖ్యులగు ఈ ముగ్గురు అదుల్లాము అను చట్టు రాతికొండ గుహలో నుండు దావీదు నొద్దకు వచ్చిరి, ఫిలిష్తీయుల సమూహము రెఫాయీయుల లోయలో దిగి యుండెను.

15. And the three of the thirtie chiefe captaynes went to a rocke to Dauid, into the caue Adullam: And the hoast of the Philistines abode in the valley of Rephaim.

16. దావీదు మరుగు స్థలమందుండగా ఫిలిష్తీయుల దండు బేత్లెహేమునందుండెను.

16. And when Dauid was in the holde, the Philistines watch was at Bethlehem that same tyme.

17. దావీదు ఆశపడిబేత్లెహేమునందలి ఊరి గవినియొద్ది బావినీళ్లు కొంచెము నాకు దాహమునకు ఎవడు తెచ్చియిచ్చునని అనగా

17. And Dauid longed, and sayde: Oh that one woulde geue me drinke of the water of the well that is at the gate at Bethlehem.

18. ఆ ముగ్గురును ఫిలిష్తీయుల దండులోనికి చొరబడి పోయి బేత్లెహేము ఊరి గవినియొద్ది బావినీళ్లు చేదుకొని దావీదునొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చిరి. అయితే దావీదు ఆ నీళ్లు త్రాగుటకు మనస్సులేక యెహోవాకు అర్పితముగా వాటిని పారబోసి

18. And the three brake through the hoast of the Philistines, and drewe water out of the wel that was by ye gate at Bethlehem, and toke it and brought it to Dauid: Neuerthelesse, Dauid woulde not drinke of it, but rather offered it to the Lorde,

19. నేను ఈలాగు చేయకుండ నా దేవుడు నన్ను కాచునుగాక; ప్రాణమునకు తెగించి యీ నీళ్లు తెచ్చిన యీ మనుష్యుల రక్తమును నేను త్రాగుదునా అని చెప్పి త్రాగకపోయెను; ఈ ముగ్గురు పరా క్రమశాలులు ఇట్టి పనులు చేసిరి.

19. And sayd: my God forbyd it me that I shoulde do this thing: Shall I drinke the blood of these men, that haue put their liues in ieoperdie? for with the ieoperdie of their liues they brought it: therefore he would not drinke it. And this did these three mightiest.

20. యోవాబు సహోదరుడైన అబీషై ముగ్గురిలో ప్రధానుడు; ఇతడు ఒక యుద్ధమందు మూడువందలమందిని హతముచేసి తన యీటె వారిమీద ఆడించినవాడై యీ ముగ్గురిలోను పేరుపొందిన వాడాయెను.

20. And Abisai the brother of Ioab, he also was captayne among three: For he lyft vp his speare against three hundred, and wounded them, and had a name among the three:

21. ఈ ముగ్గురిలోను కడమ యిద్దరికంటె అతడు ఘనతనొందినవాడై వారికి అధిపతియాయెను గాని ఆ మొదటి ముగ్గురిలో ఎవరికిని అతడు సాటివాడు కాలేదు.

21. Yea among three, he was more honorable then the two, for he was their captayne: Howbeit, he attayned not to the [first] three.

22. మరియు కబ్సెయేలు సంబంధుడును పరా క్రమవంతుడునైన యొకనికి పుట్టిన యెహోయాదా కుమారుడైన బెనాయాయును విక్రమక్రియలవలన గొప్ప వాడాయెను. ఇతడు మోయాబీయుడగు అరీయేలు కుమా రుల నిద్దరిని చంపెను;మరియు ఇతడు బయలుదేరి హిమము పడిన కాలమున ఒక సింహమును ఒక గుహయందు చంపి వేసెను.

22. Banaia ye sonne of Iehoiada, the sonne of a very strong man, which had done many actes, of Cabzeel: he slue two strong [lions] of Moab, & went downe and slue a lion in a pit in time of snowe.

23. అయిదు మూరల పొడవుగల మంచియెత్తరియైన ఐగుప్తీయుని ఒకని అతడు చావగొట్టెను; ఆ ఐగుప్తీయుని చేతిలో నేతగాని దోనెవంటి యీటె యొకటి యుండగా ఇతడు ఒక దుడ్డుకఱ్ఱ చేత పట్టుకొని వానిమీదికిపోయి ఆ యీటెను ఐగుప్తీయుని చేతిలోనుండి ఊడ లాగి దానితో వానిని చంపెను.

23. And he slue an Egyptian, whose stature was euen fiue cubites long, and in the Egyptians hand was a speare lyke a weauers beame: And the other went downe to him with a waster, & plucked the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slue him with his owne speare.

24. యెహోయాదా కుమారుడైన బెనాయా యిట్టి పనులు చేసినందున ఆ ముగ్గురు పరాక్రమశాలులలో ఘనతనొందిన వాడాయెను.

24. Such thinges did Banaia the sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three mightiest,

25. ముప్పదిమందిలోను ఇతడు వాసికెక్కెను గాని ఆ ముగ్గురిలో ఎవరికిని సాటివాడు కాలేదు; దావీదు ఇతనిని తన దేహసంరక్షకుల కధిపతిగా ఉంచెను.

25. And was honorable among thirtie: but attayned not vnto the [first] three: And Dauid made him of his counsaile.

26. మరియు సైన్యములకు చేరిన వేరు పరాక్రమశాలు లెవరనగా యోవాబు తమ్ముడైన అశాహేలు; బేత్లెహేము ఊరివాడైన దోదో కుమారుడగు ఎల్హానాను,

26. The other men of armes were these: Asahel the brother of Ioab, Elhanan his vncles sonne, of Bethlehem:

27. హరో రీయుడైన షమ్మోతు, పెలోనీయుడైన హేలెస్సు,

27. Samoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite,

28. తెకో వీయుడైన ఇక్కేషు కుమారుడగు ఈరా, అన్నేతోతీయుడైన అబీయెజెరు,

28. Ira the sonne of Ickes the Thekoite, Abieser the Anatothite,

29. హుషాతీయుడైన సిబ్బెకై, అహో హీయుడైన ఈలై,

29. Sibbecai the Husathite, Ilai the Ahohite,

30. నెటోపాతీయుడైన మహరై, నెటోపాతీయుడైన బయనా కుమారుడగు హేలెదు,

30. Maharai the Nepthophathite, Heled the sonne of Baana the Nethophathite,

31. బెన్యామీనీయుల స్థానములోని గిబియా ఊరివాడును రీబైకి కుమారుడునగు ఈతయి, పిరాతోనీయుడైన బెనాయా,

31. Ithai the sonne of Ribai of Gibea [that pertayued] to the children of Beniamin, Benaia the Phirathonite,

32. గాయషుతోయవాడైన హూరై, అర్బాతీయుడైన అబీయేలు,

32. Hurai of the riuers of Gaas, Abiel the Arbathite,

33. బహరూమీయుడైన అజ్మావెతు, షయిల్బోనీయుడైన ఎల్యాహ్బా,

33. Azmaueth the Baharumite, Elihaba the Salabonite.

34. గిజోనీయుడైన హాషేము కుమారులు, హరారీయుడైన షాగే కుమారుడగు యోనా తాను,

34. The sonnes of Hassem the Gezonite: Ionathan the sonne of Sage an Hararite,

35. హరారీయుడైన శాకారు కుమారుడగు అహీ యాము, ఊరు కుమారుడైన ఎలీపాలు,

35. Ahiam the sonne of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the sonne of Ur.

36. మెకేరాతీయుడైన హెపెరు, పెలోనీయుడైన అహీయా,

36. Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahia the Pelonite,

37. కర్మెలీయుడైన హెజ్రో, ఎజ్బయి కుమారుడైన నయరై,

37. Hezro the Carmelite, Naari the sonne of Ezbai,

38. నాతాను సహోదరుడైన యోవేలు, హగ్రీయుడైన మిబ్హారు,

38. Ioel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the sonne of Hagari,

39. అమ్మోనీయుడైన జెలెకు, సెరూయా కుమారుడై యోవాబు యొక్క ఆయుధములు మోయువాడును బెరోతీయుడునగు నహరై,

39. Zelec the Ammonite, Naharai a Berothite the bearer of the harnesse of Ioab the sonne of Zaruia,

40. ఇత్రీయుడైన ఈరా, ఇత్రీయుడైన గారేబు,

40. Ira the Iethrite, and Gareb a Iethrite,

41. హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా, అహ్లయి కుమారుడైన జాబాదు,

41. Uria the Hethite, and Zahad the sonne of Ahlai,

42. రూబేనీయుడైన షీజా కుమారుడును రూబే నీయులకు పెద్దయునైన అదీనా, అతనితోటివారగు ముప్పదిమంది,

42. Adina the sonne of Sisa a Rubenite a captaine of the Rubenites, and thirtie with him.

43. మయకా కుమారుడైన హానాను, మిత్నీ యుడైన యెహోషాపాతు,

43. Hanan the sonne of Maacah, and Iosaphat a Mithanite,

44. ఆష్తెరాతీయుడైన ఉజ్జీయా, అరొయేరీయుడైన హోతాను కుమారులగు షామా యెహీయేలు,

44. Uzzia an Astherathite, Sama & Iehiel the sonnes of Hothan an Aroerite:

45. షిమీ కుమారుడైన యెదీయవేలు, తిజీయుడైన వాని సహోదరుడగు యోహా,

45. Iediel the sonne of Zimri, and Ioha his brother a Thosaite,

46. మహవీయుడైన ఎలీయేలు, ఎల్నయము కుమారులైన యెరీబై యోషవ్యా, మోయాబీయుడైన ఇత్మా,

46. Eliel a Mahauite, Ieribai and Iosaia the sonnes of Elnaam, and Iithma a Moabite,

47. ఎలీయేలు ఓబేదు, మెజోబాయా ఊరివాడైన యహశీయేలు.

47. Eliel and Obed, and Iasiel a Mesobaite.
