1. దావీదు కీషు కుమారుడైన సౌలునకు భయపడియింకను దాగియుండగా సౌలు బంధువులగు బెన్యామీనీ యులలో పరాక్రమశాలులు కొందరు దావీదునకు యుద్ధ సహాయము చేయుటకై అతనియొద్దకు సిక్లగునకు వచ్చిరి.

1. Now these are they that came to David at Ziklag, while he yet kept himself hidden because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.

2. వీరు విలుకాండ్రయి కుడి యెడమ చేతులతో వడిసెలచేత రాళ్లు రువ్వుటకును వింటిచేత అంబులు విడుచుటకును సమర్థులైన వారు.

2. They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.

3. వారెవరనగా గిబియావాడైన షెమాయా కుమారులైన అహీయెజెరు, ఇతడు అధిపతి; ఇతని తరువాతివాడగు యోవాషు, అజ్మావెతు కుమారులైన యెజీయేలు, పెలెటు, బెరాకా, అనెతోతీయుడైన యెహూ,

3. The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Anathothite,

4. ముప్పదిమందిలో పరాక్రమశాలియు ముప్పది మందికి పెద్దయునైన ఇష్మయా అను గిబియోనీయుడు, యిర్మీయా, యహజీయేలు, యోహానాను, గెదేరాతీ యుడైన యోజాబాదు,

4. and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite;

5. ఎలూజై, యెరీమోతు, బెయల్యా, షెమర్యా, హరీపీయుడైన షెఫటయా,

5. Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

6. కోరహీయులగు ఎల్కానా, యెష్షీయా, అజరేలు, యోహెజెరు, యాషాబాము,

6. Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;

7. గెదోరు ఊరివాడైన యెరోహాము కుమారులగు యోహేలా, జెబద్యా అనువారును.

7. and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

8. మరియు గాదీయులలో పరాక్రమశాలులు కొందరు అరణ్యమందు దాగియున్న దావీదునొద్ద చేరిరి; వీరు డాలును ఈటెను వాడుకచేయగల యుద్ధప్రవీణులు, సింహముఖమువంటి ముఖములు గలవారు, కొండలలోనుండు జింకలంత పాద వేగము గలవారు.

8. And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into his hideout in the wilderness men of might and men of war fit for the battle, who could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains:

9. వారెవరనగా మొదటివాడు ఏజెరు, రెండవవాడు ఓబద్యా, మూడవవాడు ఏలీయాబు,

9. Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10. నాల్గవవాడు దుష్మన్నా, అయిదవవాడు యిర్మీయా,

10. Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

11. ఆరవవాడు అత్తయి, యేడవవాడు ఎలీయేలు,

11. Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

12. ఎనిమిదవ వాడు యోహానాను, తొమ్మిదవవాడు ఎల్జాబాదు,

12. Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

13. పదియవవాడు యిర్మీయా, పదకొండవవాడు మక్బన్నయి.

13. Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.

14. గాదీయులగు వీరు సైన్యమునకు అధిపతులై యుండిరి; వారిలో అత్యల్పుడైనవాడు నూరుమందికి అధిపతి, అత్య ధికుడైనవాడు వెయ్యిమందికి అధిపతి,

14. These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host; one of the least was over a hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.

15. యొర్దాను గట్టులమీదుగా పొర్లి పారుచుండు మొదటి నెలయందు దానిని దాటిపోయి తూర్పులోయలలోను పడమటిలోయలలోను ఉన్న వారినందరిని తరిమివేసినవారు వీరే.

15. These are the ones who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all those of the valleys, both toward the east and toward the west.

16. మరియు బెన్యామీనీయులలో కొందరును యూదావారిలో కొందరును దావీదు దాగియున్న స్థలమునకు వచ్చిరి.

16. And there came some of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hideout unto David.

17. దావీదు బయలుదేరి వారికి ఎదురుగా పోయి వారితో ఇట్లనెనుమీరు సమాధానము కలిగి నాకు సహాయముచేయుటకై నాయొద్దకు వచ్చియున్నయెడల నా హృదయము మీతో అతికియుండును; అట్లుగాక నా వలన మీకు అపకారమేదియు కలుగలేదని యెరిగి యుండియు, నన్ను నా శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగింపవలెనని మీరు వచ్చియున్నయెడల మన పితరులయొక్క దేవుడు దీనిని చూచి మిమ్మును గద్దించును గాక.

17. And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, 'If ye have come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you; but if ye have come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon and rebuke it.'

18. అప్పుడు ముప్పదిమందికి అధిపతియైన అమాశై ఆత్మవశుడైదావీదూ, మేము నీవారము; యెష్షయి కుమారుడా, మేము నీ పక్షమున ఉన్నాము; నీకు సమాధానము కలుగునుగాక, సమా ధానము కలుగునుగాక, నీ సహకారులకును సమాధానము కలుగునుగాక, నీ దేవుడే నీకు సహాయము చేయునని పలు కగా దావీదు వారిని చేర్చుకొని వారిని తన దండునకు అధిపతులుగా చేసెను.

18. Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, 'Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse. Peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee.' Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

19. సౌలుమీద యుద్ధముచేయబోయిన ఫిలిష్తీయులతో కూడ దావీదు వచ్చినప్పుడు మనష్షే సంబం ధులలో కొందరును అతని పక్షముచేరిరి; దావీదు ఫిలిష్తీ యులకు సహాయము చేయకపోయెను, ఏలయనగా అతడు తన యజమానుడైన సౌలు పక్షమునకు మరలి తమకు ప్రాణ హాని చేయునని యెంచి ఫిలిష్తీయుల అధికారులు అతని పంపివేసిరి.

19. And there fell away some of Manasseh to David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle; but they helped them not, for the lords of the Philistines, upon advisement, sent him away, saying, 'He will return to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.'

20. అంతట అతడు సిక్లగునకు తిరిగి పోవుచుండగా మనష్షే సంబంధులైన అద్నా యోజాబాదు, యెదీయవేలు, మిఖాయేలు, యోజాబాదు, ఎలీహు, జిల్లెతై అను మనష్షే గోత్రపువారికి అధిపతులు అతని పక్షముచేరిరి.

20. As he went to Ziklag there fell to him of Manasseh: Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of the thousands who were from Manasseh.

21. వారందరును పరాక్రమ శాలులును సైన్యాధిపతులునై యుండిరి; ఆ దండును హతముచేయుటకు వారు దావీదునకు సహాయముచేసిరి.

21. And they helped David against the band of the rovers; for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host.

22. దావీదు దండు దేవుని సైన్యమువలె మహాసైన్యమగునట్లు ప్రతిదినమున అతనికి సహాయము చేయువారు అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చు చుండిరి.

22. For at that time day by day they came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.

23. యెహోవా నోటిమాట ప్రకారము సౌలుయొక్క రాజ్యమును దావీదుతట్టు త్రిప్పవలెనన్న ప్రయత్నముతో యుద్ధమునకై ఆయుధములను ధరించి అతనియొద్దకు హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చిన అధిపతుల లెక్క యెంతయనగా

23. And these are the numbers of the armed groups ready for war, and came to David at Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.

24. యూదావారిలో డాలును ఈటెను పట్టుకొని యుద్ధసన్నద్ధులై యున్నవారు ఆరువేల ఎనిమిదివందలమంది.

24. The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready, armed for the war.

25. షిమ్యోనీయులలో యుద్ధ మునకు తగినశూరులు ఏడువేల నూరుమంది.

25. Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

26. లేవీయులలో అట్టివారు నాలుగువేల ఆరువందలమంది.

26. Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.

27. అహరోను సంతతివారికి యెహోయాదా అధిపతి, అతనితోకూడ ఉన్నవారు మూడువేల ఏడు వందలమంది.

27. And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;

28. పరాక్రమశాలియైన సాదోకు అను ¸యౌవనునితో కూడ అతని తండ్రి యింటివారైన అధిపతులు ఇరువదియిద్దరు.

28. and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and from his father's house twenty and two captains.

29. సౌలు సంబంధులగు బెన్యా మీనీయులు మూడువేలమంది; అప్పటివరకు వారిలో బహుమంది సౌలు ఇల్లు గాపాడుచుండిరి.

29. And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand; for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the watch of the house of Saul.

30. తమపితరుల యింటివారిలో పేరుపొందిన పరాక్రమశాలులు ఎఫ్రాయిమీయులలో ఇరువదివేల ఎనిమిది వందలమంది.

30. And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous throughout the house of their fathers.

31. మనష్షే యొక్క అర్ధగోత్రపు వారిలో దావీదును రాజుగా చేయుటకై రావలెనని పేరు పేరుగా నియమింపబడినవారు పదునెనిమిదివేలమంది.

31. And of the halftribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were expressed by name to come and make David king.

32. ఇశ్శాఖారీయులలో సమయోచిత జ్ఞానముకలిగి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు చేయతగినదేదో దాని నెరిగియున్న అధిపతులు రెండువందలు; వీరి గోత్రపు వారందరును వీరి యాజ్ఞకు బద్ధులైయుండిరి.

32. And of the children of Issachar, who were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command.

33. జెబూలూ నీయులలో సకలవిధమైన యుద్ధాయుధములను ధరించి యుద్ధమునకు పోదగినవారును యుద్ధపు నేర్పుగలవారును మనస్సునందు పొరపులేకుండ యుద్ధము చేయగలవారును ఏబదివేలమంది.

33. Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war with all instruments of war, fifty thousand who could keep rank; they were not of double heart.

34. నఫ్తాలీయులలో వెయ్యిమంది అధిపతులు, వారితోకూడ డాలును ఈటెను పట్టుకొనిన వారు ముప్పది యేడువేలమంది.

34. And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear, thirty and seven thousand.

35. దానీయులలో యుద్ధ సన్నద్ధులైన వారు ఇరువది యెనిమిదివేల ఆరు వందల మంది.

35. And of the Danites, expert in war, twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.

36. ఆషేరీయులలో యుద్ధపు నేర్పుగల యుద్ధ సన్నద్ధులు నలువది వేలమంది.

36. And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.

37. మరియు యొర్దాను నది అవతలనుండు రూబేనీయులలోను గాదీయులలోను మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపు వారిలోను సకలవిధమైన యుద్ధాయుధములను ధరించు యుద్ధశూరులైన యీ యోధులందరు దావీదును ఇశ్రాయేలుమీద రాజుగా నియమించవలెనన్న కోరిక హృదయమందు కలిగినవారై ఆయుధములను ధరించి హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చిరి.

37. And on the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites and the Gadites, and of the halftribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.

38. ఇశ్రాయేలులో కడమ వారందరును ఏకమనస్కులై దావీదును రాజుగా నియ మింపవలెనని కోరియుండిరి.

38. All these men of war, who could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.

39. వారి సహోదరులు వారికొరకు భోజనపదార్థములను సిద్ధము చేసియుండగా వారు దావీదుతోకూడ అచ్చట మూడు దినములుండి అన్న పానములు పుచ్చుకొనిరి.

39. And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking, for their brethren had prepared for them.

40. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు సంతోషము కలిగియుండెను గనుక ఇశ్శాఖారు జెబూలూను నఫ్తాలి అనువారి పొలిమేరలవరకు వారికి సమీపమైనవారు గాడిదలమీదను ఒంటెలమీదను కంచరగాడిదల మీదను ఎద్దుల మీదను ఆహారవస్తువులైన పిండివంటకములను అంజూరపు అడలను ఎండిన ద్రాక్షపండ్ల గెలలను ద్రాక్షారసమును నూనెను గొఱ్ఱెలను పశువులను విస్తార ముగా తీసికొనివచ్చిరి.

40. Moreover those who were nigh to them, even as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly; for there was joy in Israel.
