1. When David moved into his palace, he said to Nathan the prophet, 'Look, I am living in a palace made of cedar, but the Ark of the Agreement with the Lord sits in a tent.'

2. నాతానుదేవుడు నీకు తోడైయున్నాడు, నీ హృదయమందున్న దంతయు చేయుమని దావీదుతో అనెను.

2. Nathan said to David, 'Do what you want to do, because God is with you.'

3. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవునివాక్కు నాతానునకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

3. But that night God spoke his word to Nathan, saying,

4. నీవు పోయి నా సేవకుడైన దావీదుతో ఇట్లనుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నా నివాస మునకై యొక ఆలయము కట్టించుట నీచేతకాదు.

4. Go and tell David my servant, 'This is what the Lord says: You are not the person to build a house for me to live in.

5. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను రప్పించిన నాటనుండి నేటివరకు నేను ఒక యింటిలో నివాసము చేయక, ఒకానొక గుడారములోను ఒకానొక డేరాలోను నివాసము చేసితిని.

5. From the time I brought Israel out of Egypt until now I have not lived in a house. I have moved from one tent site to another and from one place to another.

6. నేను ఇశ్రా యేలీయులందరి మధ్యను సంచరించిన కాలమంతయుమీరు నాకొరకు దేవదారుమ్రానులతో ఆలయము కట్ట కుంటిరేమియని, నా జనమును మేపవలసినదని నేను ఆజ్ఞా పించిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల న్యాయాధిపతులలో ఎవరితో నైనను నేనొక మాటయైన పలికియుంటినా?

6. As I have moved with the Israelites to different places, I have never said to the leaders, whom I commanded to take care of my people, 'Why haven't you built me a house of cedar?''

7. కావున నీవు నా సేవకుడైన దావీదుతో చెప్పవలసినదేమనగాసైన్యములకు అధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈ ప్రకారము సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడునీవు నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీద అధిపతివై యుండునట్లు, గొఱ్ఱెలవెంబడి తిరుగుచున్న నిన్ను గొఱ్ఱెల దొడ్డినుండి తీసికొని

7. Now, tell my servant David: 'This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: I took you from the pasture and from tending the sheep and made you king of my people Israel.

8. నీవువెళ్లిన చోట్లనెల్ల నీకు తోడుగా ఉండి, నిన్ను ద్వేషించినవారిని నీ ముందర నిలువనియ్యక నిర్మూలము చేసితిని; లోకములోని ఘనులకు కలిగియున్న పేరువంటి పేరు నీకు కలుగజేయుదును

8. I have been with you everywhere you have gone. I have defeated your enemies for you. I will make you as famous as any of the great people on the earth.

9. మరియు నేను నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కొరకు ఒక స్థలము ఏర్పరచి వారిని నాటుదును, వారు మరి తిరుగులాడక తమ స్థానమందు కాపురముందురు, పూర్వమందు జరిగినట్లును, నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీద నేను న్యాయాధిపతులను నిర్ణయించిన కాలము మొదలుకొని జరుగుచు వచ్చినట్లును, దుష్టులు వారిని ఇక శ్రమ పెట్టకుందురు;

9. I will choose a place for my people Israel, and I will plant them so they can live in their own homes. They will not be bothered anymore. Wicked people will no longer hurt them as they have in the past

10. నీ పగవారినందరిని నేను అణచి వేసెదను. అదియు గాకయెహోవా నీకు సంతతి కలుగజేయునని నేను నీకు తెలియజేసితిని.

10. when I chose judges for my people Israel. I will defeat all your enemies. ''I tell you that the Lord will make your descendants kings of Israel after you.

11. నీ జీవిత దినములు తీరి నీ పితరులయొద్దకు నీవు చేరునప్పుడు నీ కుమారులవలన కలుగు నీ సంతతిని నేను స్థాపనచేసి అతని రాజ్యమును స్థిరపరచెదను.

11. When you die and join your ancestors, I will make one of your sons the new king, and I will set up his kingdom.

12. అతడు నాకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టించును, అతని సింహాసనమును నేను నిత్యస్థాపన చేసెదను.

12. He will build a house for me, and I will let his kingdom rule always.

13. I will be his father, and he will be my son. I took away my love from Saul, who ruled before you, but I will never stop loving your son.

14. నా మందిరమందును నారాజ్యమందును నేను నిత్యము అతని స్థిరపరచెదను, అతని సింహాసనము ఎన్నటికిని స్థిరముగా నుండునని అతనికి తెలియజేయుము.

14. I will put him in charge of my house and kingdom forever. His family will rule forever.''

15. Nathan told David everything God had said in this vision.

16. రాజైన దావీదు వచ్చి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని కూర్చుండి ఈలాగు మనవి చేసెనుదేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నన్ను ఇంత హెచ్చు లోనికి తెచ్చుటకు నేను ఎంతటివాడను? నా యిల్లు ఏమాత్రపుది?

16. Then King David went in and sat in front of the Lord. David said, 'Lord God, who am I? What is my family? Why did you bring me to this point?

17. దేవా, యిది నీ దృష్టికి స్వల్పవిషయమే; దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు రాబోవు బహుకాలమువరకు నీ సేవకుని సంతతినిగూర్చి సెలవిచ్చి, మనుష్యునితో మను ష్యుడు మాటలాడునట్లు దయ పాలించి నాతో మాటలాడి, నా సంతతి ఘనతజెందునని మాట యిచ్చి యున్నావు.

17. But that was not enough for you, God. You have also made promises about my future family. Lord God, you have treated me like a very important person.

18. నీ దాసుడనగు నాకు కలుగబోవు ఘనతను గూర్చి దావీదను నీ దాసుడ నైన నేను నీతో మరి ఏమని మనవిచేసెదను? నీవు నీ దాసుని ఎరుగుదువు.

18. What more can I say to you for honoring me, your servant? You know me so well.

19. యెహోవా నీ దాసుని నిమి త్తమే నీ చిత్తప్రకారము ఈ మహా ఘనత కలుగునని నీవు తెలియజేసియున్నావు, అతని నిమిత్తమే నీవు ఈ గొప్ప కార్యమును చేసియున్నావు.

19. Lord, you have done this wonderful thing for my sake and because you wanted to. You have made known all these great things.

20. యెహోవా, మేము మా చెవులతో వినినదంతయు నిజము, నీవంటి వాడెవడును లేడు, నీవుతప్ప మరి ఏ దేవుడును లేడు.

20. There is no one like you, Lord. There is no God except you. We have heard all this ourselves!

21. నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులవంటి జనము భూలోకమందు ఏది? ఐగుప్తులోనుండి నీవు విమోచించిన నీ జనులయెదుట నిలువనీయక నీవు అనేక జనములను తోలివేసినందువలన నీవు మహా భయంకరమైన పేరు తెచ్చుకొంటివి. వారు నీ స్వంత జనులగునట్లు వారిని విమోచించుటకై దేవుడవైన నీవు బయలుదేరితివి

21. There is no nation like your people Israel. They are the only people on earth that God chose to be his own. You made your name well known by the great and wonderful things you did for them. You went ahead of them and forced other nations out of the land. You freed your people from slavery in Egypt.

22. నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నిత్యము నీకు జనులగునట్లు నీ వాలాగున చేసితివి; యెహో వావైన నీవు వారికి దేవుడవై యున్నావు

22. You made the people of Israel your very own people forever, and, Lord, you are their God.

23. యెహోవా, ఇప్పుడు నీ దాసునిగూర్చియు అతని సంతతిని గూర్చియు నీవు సెలవిచ్చిన మాట నిత్యము స్థిరమగును గాక.

23. Lord, keep the promise forever that you made about my family and me, your servant. Do what you have said.

24. ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల దేవుడైన సైన్యములకు అధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు దేవుడైయున్నాడని నీ పేరు ఎన్నటికిని ఘనపరచబడునట్లు నీవు సెలవిచ్చిన మాట నిశ్చయముగా స్థిరపరచబడును గాక; మరియు నీ దాసుడైన దావీదు సంతతి నీ యెదుట స్థిరపరచబడునుగాక.

24. Then you will be honored always, and people will say, 'The Lord All-Powerful, the God over Israel, is Israel's God!' And the family of your servant David will continue before you.

25. దేవానీకు సంతతి కలుగజేసెదనని నీ దాసునికి నీవు తెలియ జేసియున్నావు గనుక నీ సన్నిధిని విన్నపము చేయుటకు నీ దాసునికి మనోధైర్యము కలిగెను.

25. My God, you have told me that you would make my family great. So I, your servant, am brave enough to pray to you.

26. యెహోవా, నీవు దేవుడవైయుండి నీ దాసునికి ఈ మేలు దయచేసెదనని సెలవిచ్చియున్నావు.

26. Lord, you are God, and you have promised these good things to me, your servant.

27. ఇప్పుడు నీ దాసుని సంతతి నిత్యము నీ సన్నిధిని ఉండునట్లుగా దానిని ఆశీర్వదింప ననుగ్రహించియున్నావు. యెహోవా, నీవు ఆశీర్వ దించినయెడల అది ఎన్నటికిని ఆశీర్వదింపబడి యుండును. ఇదియైన తరువాత దావీదు ఫిలిష్తీయులను జయించి,

27. You have chosen to bless my family. Let it continue before you always. Lord, you have blessed my family, so it will always be blessed.'
