1. This is how Aaron's descendants, the priests, were divided into groups for service. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

2. But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no sons. So only Eleazar and Ithamar were left to carry on as priests.

3. దావీదు ఎలియాజరు సంతతివారిలో సాదోకును ఈతామారు సంతతివారిలో అహీమెలెకును ఏర్పరచి, వారి వారి జనముయొక్క లెక్కనుబట్టి పని నియమించెను.

3. With the help of Zadok, who was a descendant of Eleazar, and of Ahimelech, who was a descendant of Ithamar, David divided Aaron's descendants into groups according to their various duties.

4. Eleazar's descendants were divided into sixteen groups and Ithamar's into eight, for there were more family leaders among the descendants of Eleazar.

5. ఎలియాజరు సంతతిలోని వారును, ఈతామారు సంతతివారిలో కొందరును దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితులగు అధికారులై యుండిరి గనుక తాము పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమునకు అధికారులుగా ఉండుటకై చీట్లువేసి వంతులు పంచుకొనిరి.

5. All tasks were assigned to the various groups by means of sacred lots so that no preference would be shown, for there were many qualified officials serving God in the sanctuary from among the descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar.

6. లేవీయులలో శాస్త్రిగానున్న నెతనేలు కుమారుడగు షెమయా రాజు ఎదుటను, అధిపతుల యెదు టను, యాజకుడైన సాదోకు ఎదుటను, అబ్యాతారు కుమారుడైన అహీమెలెకు ఎదుటను, యాజకులయెదుటను, లేవీయుల యెదుటను, పితరుల యిండ్లపెద్దలైన వారి యెదుటను వారి పేళ్లు దాఖలు చేసెను; ఒక్కొక్క పాత్రలోనుండి యొక పితరుని యింటి చీటి ఎలియాజరు పేరటను ఇంకొకటి ఈతా మారు పేరటను తీయబడెను.

6. Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, acted as secretary and wrote down the names and assignments in the presence of the king, the officials, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the family leaders of the priests and Levites. The descendants of Eleazar and Ithamar took turns casting lots.

11. The ninth lot fell to Jeshua. The tenth lot fell to Shecaniah.

12. పండ్రెండవది యాకీమునకు,

12. The eleventh lot fell to Eliashib. The twelfth lot fell to Jakim.

13. పదుమూడవది హుప్పాకు, పదునాలుగవది యెషెబాబునకు,

13. The thirteenth lot fell to Huppah. The fourteenth lot fell to Jeshebeab.

14. పదునయిదవది బిల్గాకు, పదునారవది ఇమ్మేరునకు,

14. The fifteenth lot fell to Bilgah. The sixteenth lot fell to Immer.

15. పదునేడవది హెజీరునకు, పదునెనిమిదవది హప్పి స్సేసునకు,

15. The seventeenth lot fell to Hezir. The eighteenth lot fell to Happizzez.

16. పందొమ్మిదవది పెతహయాకు ఇరువదియవది యెహెజ్కేలునకు,

16. The nineteenth lot fell to Pethahiah. The twentieth lot fell to Jehezkel.

17. ఇరువదియొకటవది యాకీనునకు, ఇరువది రెండవది గామూలునకు,

17. The twenty-first lot fell to Jakin. The twenty-second lot fell to Gamul.

18. ఇరువది మూడవది దెలాయ్యాకు, ఇరువదినాలుగవది మయజ్యాకు పడెను.

18. The twenty-third lot fell to Delaiah. The twenty-fourth lot fell to Maaziah.

19. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారి పితరుడగు అహరోనునకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన కట్టడ ప్రకారముగా వారు తమ పద్ధతిచొప్పున యెహోవా మందిరములో ప్రవేశించి చేయవలసిన సేవాధర్మము ఈలాగున ఏర్పాటు ఆయెను.

19. Each group carried out its appointed duties in the house of the LORD according to the procedures established by their ancestor Aaron in obedience to the commands of the LORD, the God of Israel.

20. శేషించిన లేవీ సంతతివారెవరనగా అమ్రాము సంతతిలో షూబాయేలును, షూబాయేలు సంతతిలో యెహెద్యాహును,

20. These were the other family leaders descended from Levi: From the descendants of Amram, the leader was Shebuel. From the descendants of Shebuel, the leader was Jehdeiah.

21. రెహబ్యా యింటిలో అనగా రెహబ్యా సంతతిలో పెద్దవాడైన ఇష్షీయాయును,

21. From the descendants of Rehabiah, the leader was Isshiah.

22. ఇస్హారీ యులలో షెలోమోతును, షెలోమోతు సంతతిలో యహతును,

22. From the descendants of Izhar, the leader was Shelomith. From the descendants of Shelomith, the leader was Jahath.

23. హెబ్రోను సంతతిలో పెద్దవాడైన యెరీయా, రెండవవాడైన అమర్యా, మూడవవాడైన యహజీయేలు, నాలుగవవాడైన యెక్మెయాములును,

23. From the descendants of Hebron, Jeriah was the leader, Amariah was second, Jahaziel was third, and Jekameam was fourth.

24. ఉజ్జీయేలు సంతతిలో మీకాయును మీకా సంతతిలో షామీరును,

24. From the descendants of Uzziel, the leader was Micah. From the descendants of Micah, the leader was Shamir,

25. ఇష్షీయా సంతతిలో జెకర్యాయును,

25. along with Isshiah, the brother of Micah. From the descendants of Isshiah, the leader was Zechariah.

26. మెరారీ సంతతిలో మహలి, మూషి అనువారును యహజీ యాహు సంతతిలో బెనోయును.

26. From the descendants of Merari, the leaders were Mahli and Mushi. From the descendants of Jaaziah, the leader was Beno.

27. యహజీయాహువలన మెరారికి కలిగిన కుమారులెవరనగా బెనో షోహము జక్కూరు ఇబ్రీ.

27. From the descendants of Merari through Jaaziah, the leaders were Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

28. From the descendants of Mahli, the leader was Eleazar, though he had no sons.

30. From the descendants of Mushi, the leaders were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the descendants of Levi in their various families.

31. వీరును తమ సహోదరులైన అహరోను సంతతివారు చేసినట్లు రాజైన దావీదు ఎదుటను సాదోకు అహీమెలెకు అను యాజకులలోను లేవీయులలోను పితరుల యిండ్ల పెద్దలయెదుటను తమలోనుండు పితరుల యింటి పెద్దలకును తమ చిన్న సహోదరులకును చీట్లు వేసికొనిరి.

31. Like the descendants of Aaron, they were assigned to their duties by means of sacred lots, without regard to age or rank. Lots were drawn in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the family leaders of the priests and the Levites.
