1. దావీదు కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను తన రాజ్యమందు స్థిరపరచబడగా అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనితో కూడ ఉండి అతనిని బహు ఘనుడైన రాజునుగా చేసెను.

1. And Salomon the son of David waxed strong in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him and magnified him on high.

2. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే అరణ్యమందు చేయించిన దేవుని సమాజపు గుడారము గిబియోనునందుండెను గనుక

2. And Salomon communed with all Israel, the captains over thousands and hundreds, the judges and all other lords and ancient heads thorowout all Israel.

3. సొలొమోను సహస్రాధిపతులకును శతాధిపతులకును న్యాయాధిపతులకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైనవారి కందరికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా సమాజకులందరును

3. And so Salomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the hill altar of Gabaon: for there was the tabernacle of witness of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD made in the wilderness.

4. సొలొమోనుతో కూడ కలసి గిబియోనునందుండు బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు పోయిరి; దావీదు దేవుని మందసమును కిర్యత్యారీమునుండి తెప్పించి యెరూషలేమునందు దానికొరకు గుడారమువేసి తాను సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమున నుంచెను.

4. But the Ark of God had David brought from Kariath Jarim, into the place he had prepared therefore. For he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

5. హూరు కుమారుడైన ఊరికి పుట్టిన బెసలేలు చేసిన యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము అక్కడ యెహోవా నివాసస్థలము ఎదుట ఉండగా సొలొమోనును సమాజపువారును దానియొద్ద విచారణ చేసిరి.

5. Moreover the brazen altar that Bezeleel the son of Uri, the son of Or had made, was at Gabaon also, before the tabernacle of the LORD. And Salomon and the congregation went to visit it.

6. సమాజపు గుడారము ముందర యెహోవా సన్నిధినుండి ఇత్తడి బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు సొలొమోను పోయి దానిమీద వెయ్యి దహనబలులను అర్పించెను.

6. And Salomon offered there before the LORD upon the brazen altar that was by the tabernacle of witness, a thousand burntsacrifices.

7. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవుడు సొలొమోనునకు ప్రత్యక్షమైనేను నీకు ఏమి ఇయ్యగోరుదువో దాని అడుగుమని సెలవియ్యగా

7. And the same night God appeared unto Salomon and said to him, ask what I shall give thee.

8. సొలొమోను దేవునితో ఈలాగు మనవిచేసెనునీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదుయెడల బహుగా కృప చూపి అతని స్థానమందు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నావు గనుక

8. And Salomon said unto God: thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me king in his stead.

9. దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానమును స్థిరపరచుము; నేల ధూళియంత విస్తారమైన జనులమీద నీవు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించియున్నావు

9. And now LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be true. For thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

10. ఈ నీ గొప్ప జనమునకు న్యాయము తీర్చ శక్తిగలవాడెవడు? నేను ఈ జనులమధ్యను ఉండి కార్యములను చక్కపెట్టునట్లు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని నాకు దయచేయుము.

10. Wherefore give(grant) me wisdom and knowledge how to behave myself unto this people: for who is able to judge this people that is so great?

11. అందుకు దేవుడు సొలొమోనుతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవు ఈ ప్రకారము యోచించు కొని, ఐశ్వర్యమునైనను సొమ్మునైనను ఘనతనైనను నీ శత్రువుల ప్రాణమునైనను దీర్ఘాయువునైనను అడుగక, నేను నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నా జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని అడిగి యున్నావు.

11. Then God said to Salomon, because thou hadst this in thine heart, and didst not ask treasure and riches, and honour and the lives of thine enemies, neither yet long life: But hast asked wisdom and knowledge, to judge my people, over which I have made thee king:

12. కాబట్టి జ్ఞానమును తెలివియు నీ కియ్య బడును, నీకన్న ముందుగానున్న రాజులకైనను నీ తరువాత వచ్చు రాజులకైనను కలుగని ఐశ్వర్యమును సొమ్మును ఘనతను నీకిచ్చెదను అని చెప్పెను.

12. wisdom and knowledge shall be given thee, and I will give thee treasure, riches, and glory also, that among the kings before thee or after thee, none was or shall be like thee.

13. పిమ్మట సొలొమోను గిబియోనులోనుండు సమాజపు గుడారము ఎదుటనున్న బలిపీఠమును విడచి యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులను ఏలుచుండెను.

13. And so Salomon came from the hillaltar that was at Gabaon to Jerusalem from the tabernacle of witness and reigned at Jerusalem.

14. సొలొమోను రథములను గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను సమ కూర్చెను, వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందలు రథములును పండ్రెండు వేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును అతనికి ఉండెను; వీరిలో కొందరిని అతడు రథములుండు పట్టణములలో ఉంచెను, కొందరిని తన రాజసన్నిధిని ఉండుటకు యెరూషలేములో ఉంచెను.

14. And Salomon gathered chariots and horsemen: that he had a thousand and four hundredth chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he bestowed in the chariot cities and about the king at Jerusalem.

15. రాజు యెరూషలేమునందు వెండి బంగారములను రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగాను, సరళ మ్రానులను షెఫేల ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లంత విస్తారముగాను సమకూర్చెను.

15. And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and Cedar trees as plenty as the mulberry trees that grow in the valleys.

16. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను, రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియామకమైన ధర నిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కొని తెప్పించిరి.

16. And the horses which Salomon had, were brought him out of Egypt from Keva. The king's merchants fetched them out at Keva at a price.

17. వారు ఐగుప్తునుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల వెండియు గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూటఏబది తులముల వెండియు నిచ్చిరి; హిత్తీయుల రాజులందరికొరకును సిరియా రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

17. They came and brought out of Egypt a chariot for five hundredth sicles, and an horse for one hundredth and fifty. And so brought they to all the kings of the Hethites and to the kings of Siria thorow the hands of the said merchants.
