1. సొలొమోను యెహోవా నామఘనతకొరకు ఒక మందిరమును తన రాజ్యఘనతకొరకు ఒక నగరును కట్టవలెనని తీర్మానము చేసికొని

1. And Solomon determined to build a house for the name of the LORD and a house for his kingdom.

2. బరువులు మోయుటకు డెబ్బది వేలమందిని, కొండలమీద మ్రానులు కొట్టుటకు ఎనుబది వేలమందిని ఏర్పరచుకొని వీరిమీద మూడు వేల ఆరువందల మందిని అధిపతులుగా ఉంచెను.

2. And Solomon counted seventy thousand men to bear burdens and eighty thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.

3. సొలొమోను తూరు రాజైన హీరాము నొద్దకు దూతలచేత ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెను నా తండ్రియైన దావీదు నివాసమునకై యొక నగరును కట్టతలచియుండగా నీవు అతనికి సరళ మ్రానులను సిద్ధముచేసి పంపించినట్లు నాకును దయచేసి పంపించుము.

3. And Solomon sent to Hiram, the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David, my father, sending him cedars to build himself a house to dwell in, [even so deal with me].

4. నా దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని సుగంధ వర్గములను ధూపము వేయుటకును సన్నిధి రొట్టెలను నిత్యము ఉంచుటకును, ఉదయ సాయంకాలముల యందును, విశ్రాంతి దినములయందును, అమావాస్యల యందును, మా దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు ఏర్పాటైన ఉత్సవములయందును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నిత్యమును అర్పింపవలసిన దహనబలులను అర్పించుటకును, ఆయన నామఘనతకొరకు మందిరమొకటి ఆయనకు ప్రతిష్ఠితము చేయబడునట్లుగా నేను కట్టించబోవుచున్నాను.

4. Behold, I must build a house unto the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate [it] to him [and] to burn aromatic incense before him and for the continual showbread and for the burnt offerings morning and evening on the sabbaths and on the new moons and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God, which is to be perpetual in Israel.

5. నేనుకట్టించు మందిరము గొప్పదిగానుండును; మా దేవుడు సకలమైన దేవతలకంటె మహనీయుడు గనుక

5. And the house which I must build [is] great, for great [is] our God above all gods.

6. ఆకాశ ములును మహాకాశములును ఆయనను పట్టజాలవు, ఆయ నకు మందిరమును కట్టించుటకు చాలినవాడెవడు? ఆయన సన్నిధిని ఆయనకు మందిరమును కట్టించుటకైనను నేనే మాత్రపువాడను? ధూపము వేయుటకే నేను ఆయనకు మందిరమును కట్ట దలచియున్నాను.

6. But who is so powerful as to build him a house, seeing the heavens and heavens of the heavens cannot contain him? Who [am] I then that I should build him a house, except to burn incense before him?

7. నా తండ్రియైన దావీదు నియమించి యూదాదేశములోను యెరూషలేములోను నాయొద్ద ఉంచిన ప్రజ్ఞగలవారికి సహాయకుడైయుండి, బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను ఇనుముతోను ఊదా నూలుతోను ఎఱ్ఱ నూలుతోను నీలి నూలు తోను చేయు పనియును అన్ని విధముల చెక్కడపు పనియును నేర్చిన ప్రజ్ఞగల మనుష్యునొకని నాయొద్దకు పంపుము.

7. Send me now, therefore, a wise man who knows how to work in gold and in silver and in brass and in iron and in purple and crimson and blue and that knows how to engrave figures with the craftsmen that [are] with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David, my father, provided.

8. మరియు లెబానోనునందు మ్రానులు కొట్టుటకు మీ పనివారు నేర్పుగలవారని నాకు తెలిసేయున్నది.

8. Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and pine trees, out of Lebanon, for I know that thy servants are skillful at cutting timber in Lebanon, and, behold, my servants [shall] be with thy servants

9. కాగా లెబానోనునుండి సరళమ్రానులను దేవదారుమ్రానులను చందనపుమ్రానులను నాకు పంపుము; నేను కట్టించ బోవు మందిరము గొప్పదిగాను ఆశ్చర్యకరమైనదిగాను ఉండును గనుక నాకు మ్రానులు విస్తారముగా సిద్ధపరచుటకై నా పనివారు మీ పనివారితో కూడ పోవుదురు.

9. to prepare me timber in abundance, for the house which I am about to build [shall be] great and wonderful.

10. మ్రానులుకొట్టు మీ పనివారికి నాలుగువందల గరిసెల దంచిన గోధుమలను ఎనిమిదివందల పుట్ల యవలను నూట నలువదిపుట్ల ద్రాక్షారసమును నూట నలువదిపుట్ల నూనెను ఇచ్చెదను.

10. And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat and twenty thousand measures of barley and twenty thousand baths of wine and twenty thousand baths of oil.

11. అప్పుడు తూరు రాజైన హీరాము సొలొమోనునకు వ్రాసిపంపిన ఉత్తరమేమనగాయెహోవా తన జనమును స్నేహించి నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నాడు.

11. Then Hiram, the king of Tyre, answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD has loved his people, he has placed thee as king over them.

12. యెహోవాఘనతకొరకు ఒక మందిరమును నీ రాజ్యఘనతకొరకు ఒక నగరును కట్టించుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివియుగల బుద్ధి మంతుడైన కుమారుని రాజైన దావీదునకు దయచేసిన, భూమ్యాకాశములకు సృష్టికర్తయగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్తుతి నొందునుగాక.

12. Hiram said, moreover, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, that made the heavens and the earth, who has given to King David a wise son with knowledge, good sense and understanding, that he might build a house for the LORD and a house for his kingdom.

13. తెలివియు వివేచనయుగల హూరాము అనునొక చురుకైన పనివానిని నేను నీయొద్దకు పంపు చున్నాను.

13. And now I have sent a wise man, with knowledge and understanding, of Hiram my father,

14. అతడు దాను వంశపురాలగు ఒక స్త్రీకి పుట్టినవాడు, వాని తండ్రి తూరు సంబంధమైనవాడు, అతడు బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను ఇనుముతోను రాళ్లతోను మ్రానులతోను ఊదా నూలుతోను నీలినూలుతోను సన్నపు నూలుతోను ఎఱ్ఱ నూలుతోను పని చేయగల నేర్పరియైనవాడు. సకలవిధముల చెక్కడపు పనియందును మచ్చులు కల్పించుటయందును యుక్తికలిగి, నీ పనివారికిని నీతండ్రియైన దావీదు అను నా యేలిన వాడు నియమించిన ఉపాయశాలులకును సహకారియై వాటన్నిటిని నిరూపించుటకు తగిన సామర్థ్యము గలవాడు.

14. the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father [was] a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson; also to engrave any manner of figure and to invent any design which shall be put to him, with thy craftsmen and with the craftsmen of my lord David, thy father.

15. ఇప్పుడు నా యేలినవాడు చెప్పియున్న గోధుమలను యవలను నూనెను ద్రాక్షారసమును నీ సేవకుల చేతి కిచ్చి వారిని సాగనంపినయెడల

15. Now, therefore, let my lord send unto his servants the wheat and the barley the oil and the wine, which he has spoken of;

16. మేము నీకు కావలసినమ్రానులన్నియు లెబానోనునందు కొట్టించి వాటిని నీకొరకు సముద్రముమీద తెప్పలుగా యొప్పేకు కొనివచ్చెదము, తరువాత నీవు వాటిని యెరూషలేమునకు తెప్పించుకొన వచ్చును అని వ్రాసెను.

16. and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need, and we will bring it to thee in rafts by sea to Joppa, and thou shalt cause it to be carried up to Jerusalem.

17. సొలొమోను తన తండ్రి యైన దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేశమందుండిన అన్యజాతివారినందరిని, ఎన్నిక వేయించిన యెన్నిక ప్రకారము వారిని లెక్కింపగా వారు లక్ష యెనుబదిమూడువేల ఆరువందలమందియైరి.

17. And Solomon numbered all the strangers that [were] in the land of Israel, after David, his father, had already numbered them; and one hundred and fifty-three thousand six hundred were found.

18. వీరిలో బరువులు మోయుటకు డెబ్బది వేల మందిని పర్వతములందు మ్రానులు కొట్టుటకు ఎనుబది వేల మందిని, జనులమీద అధిపతులుగానుండి పనిచేయించుటకు మూడువేల ఆరు వందల మందిని అతడు ఏర్పరచెను.

18. And he set seventy thousand of them [to be] bearers of burdens and eighty thousand [to be] hewers in the mountain, and three thousand six hundred overseers to make the people work.:
