1. అంతట యూదా జనులందరును పదునారేండ్ల వాడైన ఉజ్జియాను తీసికొని అతని తండ్రియైన అమజ్యాకు బదులుగా రాజుగా నియమించిరి.

1. Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.

2. అతడు ఎలతును కట్టించి, రాజగు తన తండ్రి అతని పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించిన తరువాత అది యూదావారికి తిరిగి వచ్చునట్లు చేసెను.

2. He built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

3. ఉజ్జియా యేలనారంభించినప్పుడు పదునా రేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో ఏబది రెండు సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను; అతని తల్లి యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థురాలు, ఆమె పేరు యెకొల్యా.

3. Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mothers name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

4. అతడు తన తండ్రియైన అమజ్యా చర్య యంతటి ప్రకారము యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా ప్రవర్తించెను.

4. And he did that which was right in the sight of YHWH, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

5. దేవుని ప్రత్యక్షత విషయమందు తెలివి కలిగిన జెకర్యా దినములలో అతడు దేవుని ఆశ్రయించెను, అతడు యెహోవాను ఆశ్రయించినంతకాలము దేవుడు అతని వర్ధిల్ల జేసెను.

5. And he sought Elohim in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of Elohim: and as long as he sought YHWH, Elohim made him to prosper.

6. అతడు బయలుదేరి ఫిలిష్తీయులతో యుద్ధముచేసి గాతు ప్రాకారమును యబ్నె ప్రాకారమును అష్డోదు ప్రాకారమును పడగొట్టి, అష్డోదు దేశములోను ఫిలిష్తీయుల ప్రదేశములలోను ప్రాకారపురములను కట్టించెను.

6. And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities about Ashdod, and among the Philistines.

7. ఫిలిష్తీయులతోను గూర్బయలులో నివసించిన అరబీయులతోను మెహూనీయులతోను అతడు యుద్ధము చేయగా దేవుడు అతనికి సహాయము చేసెను.

7. And Elohim helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur-baal, and the Mehunims.

8. అమ్మోనీ యులు ఉజ్జియాకు పన్నిచ్చువారైరి. అతడు అధికముగా బలాభివృద్ధి నొందెను గనుక అతని కీర్తి ఐగుప్తు మార్గ ప్రదేశములన్నిటను వ్యాపించెను.

8. And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and his name spread abroad even to the entering in of Egypt; for he strengthened himself exceedingly.

9. మరియు ఉజ్జియా యెరూషలేములో మూలగుమ్మము దగ్గరను, పల్లపుస్థలముల గుమ్మము దగ్గరను, ప్రాకారపు మూల దగ్గరను, దుర్గములను కట్టించి గుమ్మములు దిట్టపరచెను.

9. Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them.

10. అదియుగాక షెఫేలా ప్రదేశములోను మైదాన ప్రదేశములోను అతనికి విస్తారమైన పశువులుండగా అతడు అరణ్యములో దుర్గములు కట్టించి అనేకమైన బావులు త్రవ్వించెను. వ్యవసాయమందు అతడు అపేక్షగలవాడు గనుక పర్వత ములలోను కర్మెలులోను అతనికి వ్యవసాయకులును ద్రాక్ష తోట పనివారును కలిగియుండిరి.

10. Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: husbandmen also, and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry.

11. యుద్ధమునకు ఉజ్జియాకు సైన్యము కలిగియుండెను; అందులోని యోధులు రాజు అధిపతులలో హనన్యా అనువాని చేతిక్రిందనుండిరి. ఖజానాదారుడగు మయ శేయాయు ప్రధానమంత్రియగు యెహీయేలును వారి లెక్క ఎంతైనది చూచి వారిని పటాలముగా ఏర్పరచువారై యుండిరి.

11. Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war by bands, according to the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the kings captains.

12. వారి పితరుల యిండ్ల పెద్దల సంఖ్యను బట్టి పరాక్రమశాలులు రెండు వేల ఆరువందల మంది యెరి.

12. The whole number of the chief of the fathers of the mighty men of valour were two thousand and six hundred.

13. రాజునకు సహాయము చేయుటకై శత్రువులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటయందు పేరుపొందిన పరాక్రమశాలులైన మూడులక్షల ఏడు వేల ఐదువందలమందిగల సైన్యము వారి చేతిక్రింద ఉండెను.

13. And under their hand was an army, three hundred thousand and seven thousand and five hundred, that made war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy.

14. ఉజ్జియా యీ సైన్యమంతటికి డాళ్లను ఈటెలను శిరస్త్రాణములను కవచములను విల్లులను వడిసెలలను చేయించెను.

14. And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, and spears, and helmets, and habergeons, and bows, and slings to cast stones.

15. మరియు అతడు అంబుల నేమి పెద్దరాళ్లనేమి ప్రయోగించుటకై ఉపాయ శాలులు కల్పించిన యంత్రములను యెరూషలేములో చేయించి దుర్గములలోను బురుజులలోను ఉంచెను. అతడు స్థిరపడువరకు అతనికి ఆశ్చర్యకర మైన సహాయము కలిగెను గనుక అతని కీర్తి దూరముగా వ్యాపించెను.

15. And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.

16. అయితే అతడు స్థిరపడిన తరువాత అతడు మనస్సున గర్వించి చెడిపోయెను. అతడు ధూపపీఠముమీద ధూపమువేయుటకై యెహోవా మందిరములో ప్రవేశించి తన దేవుడైన యెహోవామీద ద్రోహము చేయగా

16. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against YHWH his Elohim, and went into the temple of YHWH to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

17. యాజకుడైన ఆజర్యాయు అతనితోకూడ ధైర్యవంతులైన యెహోవా యాజకులు ఎనుబది మందియు అతని వెంబడి లోపలికి పోయిరి.

17. And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of YHWH, that were valiant men:

18. వారు రాజైన ఉజ్జియాను ఎదిరించిఉజ్జియా, యెహోవాకు ధూపము వేయుట ధూపము వేయుటకై ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడిన అహరోను సంతతివారైన యాజకుల పనియేగాని నీ పని కాదు; పరిశుద్ధస్థలములోనుండి బయటికి పొమ్ము, నీవు ద్రోహము చేసియున్నావు, దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇది నీకు ఘనత కలుగ జేయదని చెప్పగా

18. And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto YHWH, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from YHWH Elohim.

19. ఉజ్జియా ధూపము వేయుటకు ధూపార్తిని చేత పట్టుకొని రౌద్రుడై, యాజకులమీద కోపము చూపెను. యెహోవా మందిరములో ధూప పీఠము ప్రక్క నతడు ఉండగా యాజకులు చూచుచునే యున్నప్పుడు అతని నొసట కుష్ఠరోగము పుట్టెను.

19. Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of YHWH, from beside the incense altar.

20. ప్రధానయాజకుడైన అజర్యాయును యాజకులందరును అతనివైపు చూడగా అతడు నొసట కుష్ఠము గలవాడై యుండెను. గనుక వారు తడవుచేయక అక్కడనుండి అతనిని బయటికి వెళ్లగొట్టిరి; యెహోవా తన్ను మొత్తెనని యెరిగి బయటికి వెళ్లుటకు తానును త్వరపడెను.

20. And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because YHWH had smitten him.

21. రాజైన ఉజ్జియా తన మరణదినమువరకు కుష్ఠరోగియై యుండెను. కుష్ఠరోగియై యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి పోకుండ ప్రత్యేకింపబడెను గనుక అతడు ప్రత్యేకముగా ఒక యింటిలో నివసించుచుండెను; అతని కుమారుడైన యోతాము రాజు ఇంటివారికి అధిపతియై దేశపు జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చుచుండెను.

21. And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of YHWH: and Jotham his son was over the kings house, judging the people of the land.

22. ఉజ్జియా చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చి ఆమోజు కుమారుడును ప్రవక్తయునైన యెషయా వ్రాసెను.

22. Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write.

23. ఉజ్జియా తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించెను. అతడు కుష్ఠరోగియని రాజుల సంబంధ మైన శ్మశానభూమిలో అతని పితరులదగ్గర అతని పాతి పెట్టిరి. అతని కుమారుడైన యోతాము అతనికి బదులుగా రాజాయెను.

23. So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, He is a leper: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
