1. మనష్షే యేలనారంభించినప్పుడు పండ్రెండేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో ఏబది యయిదు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

1. A son of twelve years is Manasseh in his reigning, and fifty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;

2. ఇతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుటనుండి యెహోవా వెళ్ల గొట్టిన అన్యజనులు చేసిన హేయక్రియలను అనుసరించి, యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడత నడచెను.

2. and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, like the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,

3. ఇతడు తన తండ్రియైన హిజ్కియా పడగొట్టిన ఉన్నతస్థలములను తిరిగి కట్టించి, బయలు దేవతకు బలిపీఠములను నిలిపి, దేవతాస్తంభములను చేయించి, ఆకాశనక్షత్రము లన్నిటిని పూజించి కొలిచెను.

3. and he turneth and buildeth the high places that Hezekiah his father hath broken down, and raiseth altars for Baalim, and maketh shrines, and boweth himself to all the host of the heavens, and serveth them.

4. మరియునా నామము ఎన్నటెన్నటికి ఉండునని యెరూషలేమునందు ఏ స్థలమునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చెనో అక్కడనున్న యెహోవా మందిరమందు అతడు బలిపీఠములను కట్టించెను.

4. And he hath built altars in the house of Jehovah of which Jehovah had said, 'In Jerusalem is My name to the age.'

5. మరియు యెహోవా మందిరపు రెండు ఆవరణములలో అతడు ఆకాశనక్షత్ర సమూహమునకు బలిపీఠములను కట్టించెను.

5. And he buildeth altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.

6. బెన్‌హిన్నోము లోయయందు అతడు తన కుమారులను అగ్నిలోగుండ దాటించి, ముహూర్తములను విచారించుచు, మంత్రములను చిల్లంగితనమును వాడుకచేయు కర్ణపిశాచ ములతోను సోదెగాండ్రతోను సాంగత్యము చేయుచు, యెహోవా దృష్టికి బహుగా చెడునడత నడచుచు ఆయ నకు కోపము పుట్టించెను.

6. And he hath caused his sons to pass over through fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and observed clouds and used enchantments and witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and a wizard; he hath multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.

7. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్ర స్థానములన్నిటిలో నేను కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేమునందు నా నామము నిత్యము ఉంచెదను,

7. And he placeth the graven image of the idol that he made in the house of God, of which God said unto David, and unto Solomon his son, 'In this house, and in Jerusalem that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name to the age,

8. నేను మోషేద్వారా నియమించిన కట్టడలను విధులను ధర్మశాస్త్రమంతటిని అను సరించి నడచుకొనుటకై వారు జాగ్రత్తపడినయెడల, మీ పితరులకు నేను ఖాయపరచిన దేశమునుండి ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను నేను ఇక తొలగింపనని దావీదుతోను అతని కుమారుడైన సొలొమోనుతోను దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చిన మాటను లక్ష్యపెట్టక, ఆ మందిరమునందు మనష్షే తాను చేయించిన చెక్కుడు విగ్రహమును నిలిపెను.

8. and I add not to turn aside the foot of Israel from off the ground that I appointed to your fathers, only, if they watch to do all that I have commanded them -- to all the law, and the statutes, and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.'

9. ఈ ప్రకారము మనష్షే యూదావారిని యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థులను మోసపుచ్చిన వాడై, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులయెదుట ఉండకుండ యెహోవా నశింపజేసిన అన్యజనులకంటెను వారు మరింత అక్రమ ముగా ప్రవర్తించునట్లు చేయుటకు కారకుడాయెను.

9. And Manasseh maketh Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, to do evil above the nations that Jehovah destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

10. యెహోవా మనష్షేకును అతని జనులకును వర్తమాన ములు పంపినను వారు చెవియొగ్గకపోయిరి.

10. And Jehovah speaketh unto Manasseh and unto his people, and they have not attended,

11. కాబట్టి యెహోవా అష్షూరురాజుయొక్క సైన్యాధిపతులను వారి మీదికి రప్పించెను. మనష్షే తప్పించుకొని పోకుండ వారు అతని పట్టుకొని, గొలుసులతో బంధించి అతనిని బబులోనునకు తీసికొని పోయిరి.

11. and Jehovah bringeth in against them the heads of the host that the king of Asshur hath, and they capture Manasseh among the thickets, and bind him with brazen fetters, and cause him to go to Babylon.

12. అతడు శ్రమలో ఉన్నప్పుడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవాను బతిమాలుకొని, తన పితరుల దేవుని సన్నిధిని తన్ను తాను బహుగా తగ్గించు కొని.

12. And when he is in distress he hath appeased the face of Jehovah his God, and is humbled exceedingly before the God of his fathers,

13. ఆయనకు మొరలిడగా, ఆయన అతని విన్నపములను ఆలకించి యెరూషలేమునకు అతని రాజ్యములోనికి అతని తిరిగి తీసికొని వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా దేవుడై యున్నాడని మనష్షే తెలిసికొనెను.

13. and prayeth unto Him, and He is entreated of him, and heareth his supplication, and bringeth him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom, and Manasseh knoweth that Jehovah -- He [is] God.

14. ఇదియైన తరువాత అతడు దావీదు పట్టణము బయట గిహోనుకు పడమరగా లోయయందు మత్స్యపు గుమ్మము వరకు ఓపెలు చుట్టును బహు ఎత్తుగల గోడను కట్టించెను. మరియు యూదా దేశములోని బలమైన పట్టణములన్నిటిలోను సేనాధిపతులను ఉంచెను.

14. And after this he hath built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west of Gihon, in the valley, and at the entering in at the fish-gate, and it hath gone round to the tower, and he maketh it exceeding high, and he putteth heads of the force in all the cities of the bulwarks in Judah.

15. మరియు యెహోవా మందిరమునుండి అన్యుల దేవతలను విగ్రహమును తీసివేసి, యెరూషలేమునందును యెహోవా మందిర పర్వతము నందును తాను కట్టించిన బలిపీఠములన్నిటిని తీసి పట్టణము బయటికి వాటిని లాగివేయించెను.

15. And he turneth aside the gods of the stranger, and the idol, out of the house of Jehovah, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of Jehovah and in Jerusalem, and casteth [them] to the outside of the city.

16. ఇదియుగాక అతడు యెహోవా బలిపీఠమును బాగుచేసి, దానిమీద సమాధాన బలులను కృతజ్ఞతార్పణలను అర్పించుచుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాను సేవించుడని యూదా వారికి ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

16. And he buildeth the altar of Jehovah, and sacrificeth upon it sacrifices of peace-offerings and thank-offering, and saith to Judah to serve Jehovah, God of Israel;

17. అయినను జనులు ఉన్నత స్థలములయందు ఇంకను బలులు అర్పించుచు వచ్చిరిగాని ఆ యర్పణలను తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమునకే చేసిరి.

17. but still the people are sacrificing in high places, only -- to Jehovah their God.

18. మనష్షే చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు దేవునికి పెట్టిన మొరలను గూర్చియు, ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా పేరట అతనితో పలికిన దీర్ఘదర్శులు చెప్పిన మాటలను గూర్చియు, ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

18. And the rest of the matters of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the matters of the seers, those speaking unto him in the name of Jehovah, God of Israel, lo, they are [on the book of] the matters of the kings of Israel;

19. అతడు చేసిన ప్రార్థనను గూర్చియు, అతని మనవి వినబడుటను గూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన పాపద్రోహములన్నిటిని గూర్చియు, తాను గుణ పడకముందు ఉన్నత స్థలములను కట్టించి దేవతాస్తంభములను చెక్కిన విగ్రహములను అచ్చట నిలుపుటను గూర్చియు, దీర్ఘదర్శులు రచించిన గ్రంథములలో వ్రాయ బడియున్నది.

19. and his prayer, and his entreaty, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places in which he had built high places, and established the shrines and the graven images before his being humbled, lo, they are written beside the matters of Hozai.

20. మనష్షే తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి తన నగరునందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతని కుమారుడైన ఆమోను అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

20. And Manasseh lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in his own house, and reign doth Amon his son in his stead.

21. ఆమోను ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది రెండేండ్ల వాడై యెరూషలేములో రెండు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

21. A son of twenty and two years [is] Amon in his reigning, and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem,

22. అతడు తన తండ్రియైన మనష్షే నడచినట్లు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడత నడచెను;తన తండ్రియైన మనష్షే చేయిం చిన చెక్కుడు విగ్రహములన్నిటికి బలులు అర్పించుచు పూజించుచు

22. and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father, and to all the graven images that Manasseh his father had made hath Amon sacrificed, and serveth them,

23. తన తండ్రియైన మనష్షే గుణపడినట్లు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని పశ్చాత్తప్తుడు కాకను గుణపడకను, ఈ ఆమోను అంతకంతకు ఎక్కువ ద్రోహకార్యములను చేయుచు వచ్చెను.

23. and hath not been humbled before Jehovah, like the humbling of Manasseh his father, for Amon himself hath multiplied guilt.

24. అతని సేవకులు అతనిమీద కుట్రచేసి అతని నగరునందే అతని చంపగా

24. And his servants conspire against him, and put him to death in his own house,

25. దేశ జనులు ఆమోను రాజుమీద కుట్ర చేసినవారినందరిని హతముచేసి అతని కుమారుడైన యోషీయాను అతని స్థానమందు రాజుగా నియమించిరి.

25. and the people of the land smite all those conspiring against king Amon, and the people of the land cause Josiah his son to reign in his stead.
