1. నేను ప్రాకారమును కట్టి తలుపులు నిలిపి, ద్వార పాలకులను గాయకులను లేవీయులను నియమించిన పిమ్మట

1. Then it was, when the wall was built and I had hung the doors, when the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites had been appointed,

2. నా సహోదరుడైన హనానీకిని, కోటకు అధిపతియైన హనన్యాకును యెరూషలేముపైన అధి కారము ఇచ్చితిని. హనన్యా నమ్మకమైన మనుష్యుడు, అందరికంటె ఎక్కువగా దేవునియెదుట భయభక్తులు గలవాడు.

2. that I gave the charge of Jerusalem to my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the leader of the citadel, for he [was] a faithful man and feared God more than many.

3. And I said to them, 'Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand [guard,] let them shut and bar the doors; and appoint guards from among the inhabitants of Jerusalem, one at his watch station and another in front of his own house.'

4. అప్పటిలో ఆ పట్టణము మిగుల విశాలముగాను పెద్దదిగాను ఉండెనుగాని దానిలో జనులు కొద్దిగా ఉండిరి, యిండ్లు ఇంక కట్టబడలేదు.

4. Now the city [was] large and spacious, but the people in it [were] few, and the houses [were] not rebuilt.

5. జనసంఖ్యచేయునట్లు నా దేవుడు నా హృదయములో తలంపు పుట్టింపగా, ప్రధానులను అధికారులను జనులను నేను సమకూర్చితిని. అంతలో ముందు వచ్చినవారినిగూర్చిన వంశావళి గ్రంథము నాకు కనబడెను, అందులో వ్రాయబడిన వంశావళులు ఇవి.

5. Then my God put it into my heart to gather the nobles, the rulers, and the people, that they might be registered by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of those who had come up in the first [return,] and found written in it:

6. జెరుబ్బాబెలు యేషూవ నెహెమ్యా అజర్యా రయమ్యా నహమానీ మొర్దెకై బిల్షాను మిస్పెరేతు బిగ్వయి నెహూము బయనా అనువారితోకూడ బాబెలు రాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరుచేత చెరలోనికి కొనిపోబడి

6. These [are] the people of the province who came back from the captivity, of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, everyone to his city.

7. తిరిగి యెరూషలేమునకును యూదాదేశమునకును తమ తమ పట్టణములకు వచ్చినవారు వీరే. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులయొక్క జనసంఖ్య యిదే.

7. Those who came with Zerubbabel [were] Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

8. అది ఏలాగనగా పరోషువంశస్థులు రెండువేల నూట డెబ్బదియిద్దరును

8. the sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two;

9. షెఫట్య వంశస్థులు మూడువందల డెబ్బది యిద్దరును

9. the sons of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy-two;

10. ఆరహు వంశస్థులు ఆరువందల ఏబది యిద్దరును

10. the sons of Arah, six hundred and fifty-two;

11. యేషూవ యోవాబు సంబంధు లైన పహత్మోయాబు వంశస్థులు రెండువేల ఎనిమిదివందల పదునెనిమిదిమందియు

11. the sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred and eighteen;

12. ఏలాము వంశస్థులు వెయ్యిన్ని రెండువందల ఏబది నలుగురును.

12. the sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred and fifty-four;

13. జత్తూవంశస్థులు ఎనిమిది వందల నలువది యయిదుగురును

13. the sons of Zattu, eight hundred and forty-five;

14. జక్కయి వంశస్థులు ఏడువందల అరువది మందియు

14. the sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;

15. బిన్నూయి వంశస్థులుఆరువందల నలువది యెనమండుగురును

15. the sons of Binnui, six hundred and forty-eight;

16. బేబై వంశస్థులు ఆరువందల ఇరువది యెనమండుగురును

16. the sons of Bebai, six hundred and twenty-eight;

17. అజ్గాదు వంశస్థులు రెండువేల మూడువందల ఇరువది యిద్దరును

17. the sons of Azgad, two thousand three hundred and twenty-two;

18. అదోనీకాము వంశస్థులు ఆరువందల అరువది యేడుగురును

18. the sons of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty-seven;

19. బిగ్వయి వంశస్థులు రెండు వేల అరువది యేడుగురును

19. the sons of Bigvai, two thousand and sixty-seven;

20. అదీను వంశస్థులు ఆరువందల ఏబది యయిదుగురును

20. the sons of Adin, six hundred and fifty-five;

21. హిజ్కియా బంధువుడైన ఆటేరు వంశస్థులు తొంబది యెనమండు గురును

21. the sons of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;

22. హాషుము వంశస్థులు మూడువందల ఇరువది యెనమండుగురును

22. the sons of Hashum, three hundred and twenty-eight;

23. జేజయి వంశస్థులు మూడువందల ఇరువదినలుగురును

23. the sons of Bezai, three hundred and twenty-four;

24. హారీపు వంశస్థులు నూటపండ్రెండు గురును

24. the sons of Hariph, one hundred and twelve;

25. గిబియోను వంశస్థులు తొంబది యయిదు గురును

25. the sons of Gibeon, ninety-five;

26. బేత్లెహేము నెటోపావారు నూట ఎనుబది యెనమండు గురును

26. the men of Bethlehem and Netophah, one hundred and eighty-eight;

27. అనాతోతువారు నూట ఇరువది యెనమండు గురు

27. the men of Anathoth, one hundred and twenty-eight;

28. బేతజ్మావెతువారు నలువది యిద్దరును

28. the men of Beth Azmaveth, forty-two;

29. కిర్యత్యారీము కెఫీరా బెయేరోతులవారు ఏడువందల నలువది ముగ్గురును

29. the men of Kirjath Jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty-three;

30. రామా గెబలవారు ఆరువందల ఇరువది యొకరును

30. the men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred and twenty-one;

31. మిక్మషువారు నూట ఇరువది యిద్దరును

31. the men of Michmas, one hundred and twenty-two;

32. బేతేలు హాయిలవారు నూట ఇరువది ముగ్గురును

32. the men of Bethel and Ai, one hundred and twenty-three;

33. రెండవ నెబోవారు ఏబది యిద్దరును

33. the men of the other Nebo, fifty-two;

34. రెండవ ఏలాము వారు వెయ్యిన్ని రెండువందల ఏబది నలుగురును

34. the sons of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred and fifty-four;

35. హారిము వంశస్థులు మూడువందల ఇరువది మందియు

35. the sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;

36. యెరికో వంశస్థులు మూడువందల నలువది యయిదుగురును

36. the sons of Jericho, three hundred and forty-five;

37. లోదు హదీదు ఓనో అనువారి వంశస్థులు ఏడువందల ఇరువది యొకరును

37. the sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-one;

38. సెనాయా వంశస్థులు మూడువేల తొమ్మిది వందల ముప్పది మందియు

38. the sons of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.

39. యాజకులలో యేషూవ యింటివారైన యెదాయా వంశస్థులు తొమ్మిదివందల డెబ్బది ముగ్గురును

39. The priests: the sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy-three;

40. ఇమ్మేరు వంశస్థులు వెయ్యిన్ని ఏబది యిద్దరును

40. the sons of Immer, one thousand and fifty-two;

41. పషూరు వంశస్థులు వెయ్యిన్ని రెండువందల నలువది యేడుగురును

41. the sons of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred and forty-seven;

42. హారిము వంశస్థులు వెయ్యిన్ని పదు నేడుగురును

42. the sons of Harim, one thousand and seventeen.

43. లేవీయులైన యేషూవ హోదవ్యా కద్మీయేలు అనువారి వంశస్థులు డెబ్బది నలుగురును

43. The Levites: the sons of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, [and] of the sons of Hodevah, seventy-four.

44. గాయకు లైన ఆసాపు వంశస్థులు నూట నలువది యెనమండుగురును

44. The singers: the sons of Asaph, one hundred and forty-eight.

45. ద్వారపాలకులైన షల్లూము వంశస్థులు అటేరు వంశస్థులు టల్మోను వంశస్థులు అక్కూబు వంశస్థులు హటీటా వంశస్థులు షోబయి వంశస్థులు నూట ముప్పది యెనమండు గురును

45. The gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, one hundred and thirty-eight.

46. నెతీనీయులైన జీహా వంశస్థులు హశూపా వంశస్థులు టబ్బాయోతు వంశస్థులు

46. The Nethinim: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,

47. కేరోసు వంశస్థులు సీయహా వంశస్థులు పాదోను వంశస్థులు

47. the sons of Keros, the sons of Sia, the sons of Padon,

48. లెబానా వంశస్థులు హగాబా వంశస్థులు షల్మయి వంశస్థులు

48. the sons of Lebana, the sons of Hagaba, the sons of Salmai,

49. హానాను వంశస్థులు గిద్దేలు వంశస్థులు గహరు వంశస్థులు

49. the sons of Hanan, the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar,

50. రెవాయ వంశస్థులు రెజీను వంశస్థులు నెకోదా వంశస్థులు

50. the sons of Reaiah, the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda,

51. గజ్జాము వంశస్థులు ఉజ్జా వంశస్థులు పాసెయ వంశస్థులు

51. the sons of Gazzam, the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah,

52. బేసాయి వంశస్థులు మెహూనీము వంశస్థులు నెపూషేసీము వంశస్థులు.

52. the sons of Besai, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephishesim,

53. బక్బూకు వంశస్థులు హకూపా వంశస్థులు హర్హూరు వంశస్థులు

53. the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,

54. బజ్లీతు వంశస్థులు మెహీదా వంశస్థులు హర్షా వంశస్థులు

54. the sons of Bazlith, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,

55. బర్కోసు వంశస్థులు సీసెరా వంశస్థులు తెమహు వంశస్థులు నెజీయహు వంశస్థులు హటీపా వంశస్థులు

55. the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Tamah,

56. సొలొమాెెను దాసుల వంశస్థులు సొటయి వంశస్థులు

56. the sons of Neziah, and the sons of Hatipha.

57. సోపెరెతు వంశస్థులు పెరూదా వంశస్థులు

57. The sons of Solomon's servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Perida,

58. యహలా వంశస్థులు దర్కోను వంశస్థులు గిద్దేలు వంశస్థులు

58. the sons of Jaala, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,

59. షెఫట్య వంశస్థులు హట్టీలు వంశస్థులు జెబాయీయుల సంబంధమైన పొకెరెతు వంశస్థులు ఆమోను వంశస్థులు.

59. the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, and the sons of Amon.

60. ఈ నెతీనీయులందరును సొలొమోను దాసుల వంశస్థులును మూడువందల తొంబది యిద్దరు.

60. All the Nethinim, and the sons of Solomon's servants, [were] three hundred and ninety-two.

61. తేల్మెలహు తేల్హర్షా కెరూబు అదోను ఇమ్మేరు మొద లైన స్థలములనుండి వచ్చినవారు తాము ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సంబంధులో కారో తెలుపుటకు తమ యింటి పేరులైనను తమ వంశావళి పత్రికయైనను కనుపరచలేకపోయిరి.

61. And these [were] the ones who came up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not identify their father's house nor their lineage, whether they [were] of Israel:

62. వారెవరనగా దెలాయ్యా వంశస్థులు టోబీయా వంశస్థులు నెరోదా వంశస్థులు వీరు ఆరువందల నలువది యిద్దరు

62. the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, six hundred and forty-two;

63. హబాయ్యా వంశస్థులు హక్కోజు వంశస్థులు బర్జిల్లయి వంశస్థులు, అనగా గిలాదీయులైన బర్జిల్లయి కుమార్తెలలో ఒకతెను పెండ్లి చేసికొని వారి పేరుచేత పిలువబడిన బర్జిల్లయి వంశస్థులును యాజక సంతానులు.

63. and of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Koz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called by their name.

64. వీరి వంశా వళులనుబట్టి యెంచబడినవారిలో వారి పద్దు పుస్తకమును వెదకగా అది కనబడకపోయెను; కాగా వారు అపవిత్రు లుగా ఎంచబడి యాజకులలో ఉండకుండ వేరుపరచబడిరి.

64. These sought their listing [among] those who were registered by genealogy, but it was not found; therefore they were excluded from the priesthood as defiled.

65. కాగా అధికారిఊరీము తుమీ్మము అనువాటిని ధరించు కొని ఒక యాజకుడు ఏర్పడువరకు అతి పరిశుద్ధవస్తువులను మీరు తినకూడదని వారితో చెప్పెను.

65. And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things till a priest could consult with the Urim and Thummim.

66. సమాజకులందరును నలువది రెండువేల మూడువందల అరువదిమంది.

66. Altogether the whole assembly [was] forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,

67. వీరు గాక వీరి పని వారును పనికత్తెలును ఏడు వేల మూడు వందల ముప్పది యేడుగురును, గాయకులలో స్త్రీ పురు షులు రెండువందల నలువది యయిదుగురునై ఉండిరి.

67. besides their male and female servants, of whom [there were] seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; and they had two hundred and forty-five men and women singers.

68. వారి గుఱ్ఱములు ఏడువందల ముప్పది ఆరును, వారి కంచర గాడిదలు రెండువందల నలువది యయిదును

68. Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six, their mules two hundred and forty-five,

69. వారి ఒంటెలు నాలుగువందల ముప్పది యయిదును వారి గాడిదలు ఆరు వేల ఏడువందల ఇరువదియునై యుండెను.

69. [their] camels four hundred and thirty-five, [and] donkeys six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

70. పెద్దలలో ప్రధానులైన కొందరు పనికి కొంత సహా యము చేసిరి. అధికారి ఖజానాలో నూట ఇరువది తులముల బంగారమును ఏబది పళ్లెములను ఏడువందల ముప్పది యాజక వస్త్రములను వేసి యిచ్చెను.

70. And some of the heads of the fathers' houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand gold drachmas, fifty basins, and five hundred and thirty priestly garments.

71. మరియు పెద్దలలో ప్రధానులైనవారు కొందరు ఖజానాలో నూట నలువది తులముల బంగారమును పదునాలుగు లక్షల తుల ముల వెండిని వేసిరి.

71. Some of the heads of the fathers' [houses] gave to the treasury of the work twenty thousand gold drachmas, and two thousand two hundred silver minas.

72. మిగిలినవారును రెండువందల నలువది తులముల బంగారమును రెండువందల నలువది లక్షల తుల ముల వెండిని అరువదియేడు యాజక వస్త్రములను ఇచ్చిరి.

72. And that which the rest of the people gave [was] twenty thousand gold drachmas, two thousand silver minas, and sixty-seven priestly garments.

73. అప్పుడు యాజకులు లేవీయులు ద్వారపాలకులు గాయ కులు జనులలో కొందరును, నెతీనీయులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయు లందరును, తమ పట్టణములయందు నివాసము చేసిరి.

73. So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, [some] of the people, the Nethinim, and all Israel dwelt in their cities. When the seventh month came, the children of Israel [were] in their cities.
