1. ఈ నెల యిరువది నాలుగవ దినమందు ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు ఉపవాసముండి గోనెపట్టలు కట్టుకొని తలమీద ధూళి పోసికొని కూడి వచ్చిరి.

1. In the four and twenty(twentieth) day of this month came the children of Israel together with fasting, and sackclothes, and earth upon them,

2. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అన్య జనులందరిలోనుండి ప్రత్యేకింపబడిన వారై నిలువబడి, తమ పాపములను తమ పితరుల పాపములను ఒప్పుకొనిరి.

2. and separated the seed of Israel from all the strange children and stood and knowledged their sins, and the wickedness of their fathers,

3. మరియు వారు ఒక జాముసేపు తామున్న చోటనే నిలువ బడి, తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ధర్మశాస్త్రగ్రంథమును చదువుచు వచ్చిరి, ఒక జాముసేపు తమ పాపములను ఒప్పు కొనుచు దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు నమస్కారము చేయుచు వచ్చిరి.

3. and stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God four times on the day, and they knowledged, and worshipped the LORD their God four times on the day.

4. లేవీయులలో యేషూవ బానీ కద్మీయేలు షెబన్యా బున్నీ షేరేబ్యా బానీ కెనానీ అనువారు మెట్లమీద నిలువబడి, యెలుగెత్తి, తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱ పెట్టిరి.

4. And the Levites stood on high, namely Jesua, and Bani, Cadmiel, Sabaniah, Buni, Sarebiah, Bani, and Chanani, and cried loud unto the LORD their God.

5. అప్పుడు లేవీయులైన యేషూవ కద్మీయేలు బానీ హషబ్నెయా షేరేబ్యా హోదీయా షెబన్యా పెతహయా అనువారునిలువబడి, నిరంతరము మీకు దేవుడైయున్న యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడని చెప్పి ఈలాగు స్తోత్రము చేసిరి - సకలాశీర్వచన స్తోత్రములకు మించిన నీ ఘనమైన నామము స్తుతింపబడునుగాక.

5. And the Levites, Jeshua, and Cadmiel, Bani, Hasabniah, Serebiah, Hodjah, Sebaniah, and Pathahiah, said: Stand up praise the LORD your God forever: and let thanks be given unto the name of thy glory, which exceedeth all thanksgiving and praise.

6. నీవే, అద్వితీయుడవైన యెహోవా, నీవే ఆకాశమును మహాకాశములను వాటి సైన్యమును, భూమిని దానిలో ఉండునది అంతటిని, సముద్రములను వాటిలో ఉండునది అంతటిని సృజించి వాటినన్నిటిని కాపాడువాడవు. ఆకాశ సైన్యమంతయు నీకే నమస్కారము చేయుచున్నది.

6. LORD, (thou art) thou alone hast made heaven, and the heaven of all heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is therein, the sea and all that is therein: thou givest life unto all, and the host of heaven bow themselves unto thee.

7. దేవా యెహోవా, అబ్రామును ఏర్పరచుకొని, కల్దీయుల ఊరు అను స్థలము నుండి ఇవతలకు అతని రప్పించి అతనికి అబ్రాహామను పేరు పెట్టినవాడవు నీవే.

7. Thou art, the LORD, the God that hast chosen Abram, and broughtest him out of Ur in Chaldea, and called him Abraham

8. అతడు నమ్మకమైన మనస్సుగల వాడని యెరిగి, కనానీయులు హిత్తీయులు అమోరీయులు పెరిజ్జీ యులు యెబూసీయులు గిర్గాషీయులు అనువారి దేశమును అతని సంతతివారికిచ్చునట్లు ఆతనితో నిబంధన చేసినవాడవు నీవే.

8. and foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give unto his seed the land of the Cananites, Hethites, Amorites, Pheresites, Jebusites, and Gergasites, and hast made good thy words: for thou art righteous

9. నీవు నీతిమంతుడవై యుండి నీ మాటచొప్పున జరిగించితివి. ఐగుప్తులో మా పితరులు పొందిన శ్రమను నీవు చూచితివి, ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమునొద్ద వారి మొఱ్ఱను నీవు వింటివి.

9. and hast considered the misery of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their complaint by the reed sea,(See)

10. ఫరోయు అతని దాసులందరును అతని దేశపు జనులందరును వారియెడల బహు గర్వ ముగా ప్రవర్తించిరని నీకు తెలియగా నీవు వారియెదుట సూచకక్రియలను మహత్కార్యములను చూపించితివి. ఆలాగున చేయుటవలన నీవు ఈ దినమందున్నట్టుగా ప్రసిద్ధినొందితివి.

10. and shewed tokens and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they were presumptuous and cruel against them; and so madest thou thee a name as it is this day.

11. మరియు నీ జనులయెదుట నీవు సముద్రమును విభాగించినందున వారు సముద్రముమధ్య పొడినేలను నడచిరి, ఒకడు లోతునీట రాయి వేసినట్లు వారిని తరిమినవారిని అగాధజలములలో నీవు పడవేసితివి.

11. And the reed sea(See) didst thou divide(partedst thou) in sunder before them, so that they went thorow the midst(myddes) of the sea dry shoed: and their persecutors threwest thou into the deep as a stone, in the mighty waters,

12. ఇదియుగాక పగటికాలమందు మేఘస్తంభములో ఉండిన వాడవును రాత్రికాలమందు వారు వెళ్లవలసిన మార్గమున వెలుగిచ్చుటకై అగ్నిస్తంభములో ఉండినవాడవును అయి యుండి వారిని తోడుకొనిపోతివి.

12. and leddest them on the day time in a cloudy pillar; and on the night season in a pillar of fire, to shew them light in the way that they went.

13. సీనాయి పర్వతము మీదికి దిగి వచ్చి ఆకాశమునుండి వారితో మాటలాడి, వారికి నీతియుక్తమైన విధులను సత్యమైన ఆజ్ఞలను మేలు కరములైన కట్టడలను ధర్మములను నీవు దయచేసితివి.

13. Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest unto them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, true laws, good commandments and statutes,

14. వారికి నీ పరిశుద్ధమైన విశ్రాంతి దినమును ఆచరింప నాజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి నీ దాసుడైన మోషేద్వారా ఆజ్ఞలను కట్టడలను ధర్మశాస్త్రమును వారికి నియమించితివి.

14. and declared unto them thy holy Sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, ordinances, and laws, by Moses thy servant:

15. వారి ఆకలి తీర్చుటకు ఆకాశమునుండి ఆహారమును వారి దాహము తీర్చుటకు బండలోనుండి ఉదకమును తెప్పించితివి. వారికి ప్రమాణముచేసిన దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొనవలెనని వారి కాజ్ఞాపించితివి.
యోహాను 6:31

15. and gavest them bread from heaven when they were hungry, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock when they were thirsty: and promised them, that they should go in, and take possession of the land, over which(where over) thou hadst lift up thine hand for to give them.

16. అయితే వారును మా పితరులును గర్వించి, లోబడనొల్లక నీ ఆజ్ఞలకు చెవియొగ్గక పోయిరి.

16. But(Nevertheless) our fathers were proud, and hardnecked, so that they followed not thy commandments,

17. వారు విధేయులగుటకు మనస్సు లేనివారై తమ మధ్య నీవు చేసిన అద్భుతములను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనక తమ మనస్సును కఠినపరచు కొని, తాముండి వచ్చిన దాస్యపుదేశమునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుటకు ఒక అధికారిని కోరుకొని నీ మీద తిరుగు బాటు చేసిరి. అయితే నీవు క్షమించుటకు సిద్ధమైన దేవుడవును, దయావాత్సల్యతలు గలవాడవును, దీర్ఘశాంత మును బహు కృపయు గలవాడవునై యుండి వారిని విసర్జింపలేదు.

17. and refused to hear, and were not mindful of the wonders that thou didst(diddest) for them: but became obstinate and heady in so much that they turned back to their bondage in their disobedience. But thou my God forgavest, and wast gracious, merciful, patient, and of great goodness, and forsookest them not.

18. వారు ఒక పోతదూడను చేసికొనిఐగుప్తులోనుండి మమ్మును రప్పించిన దేవుడు ఇదే అని చెప్పి, నీకు బహు విసుకు పుట్టించినను

18. And though they made a molten calf, (and said: This is thy God, that brought thee out of the land of Egypt) and did great blasphemies,

19. వారు ఎడారిలో ఉండగా నీవు బహు విస్తారమైన కృప కలిగినవాడవై వారిని విసర్జింపలేదు; మార్గముగుండ వారిని తోడుకొని పోవుటకు పగలు మేఘస్తంభమును, దారిలో వారికి వెలు గిచ్చుటకు రాత్రి అగ్నిస్తంభమును వారిపైనుండి వెళ్లిపోక నిలిచెను.

19. yet forsookest thou them not in the wilderness, according to thy great mercy. And the cloudy pillar departed not from them on the day time to lead them the way, neither the pillar of fire in the night season, to shew them light in the way that they went.

20. వారికి భోధించుటకు నీ యుపకారాత్మను దయ చేసితివి, నీ విచ్చిన మన్నాను ఇయ్యక మానలేదు; వారి దాహమునకు ఉదకమిచ్చితివి.

20. And thou gavest them thy good spirit to enform them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water when they were thirsty.

21. నిజముగా అరణ్యములో ఏమియు తక్కువ కాకుండ నలువది సంవత్సరములు వారిని పోషించితివి. వారి వస్త్రములు పాతగిలిపోలేదు, వారి కాళ్లకువాపు రాలేదు.

21. Forty years long madest thou provision for them in the wilderness, so that they lacked(wanted) nothing: their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

22. ఇదియుగాక రాజ్యములను జన ములను వారికప్పగించి, వారికి సరిహద్దులు ఏర్పరచితివి గనుక, వారు సీహోను అను హెష్బోను రాజుయొక్క దేశమును బాషానునకు రాజైన ఓగుయొక్క దేశమును స్వతంత్రించుకొనిరి.

22. And thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and partest them according to their portions, so that they possessed the land of Sehon king of Hesebon, and the land of Og the king of Basan.

23. వారి సంతతిని ఆకాశపు నక్షత్రములంత విస్తారముగా చేసి, ప్రవేశించి స్వతంత్రించు కొనునట్లు వారి పితరులకు నీవు వాగ్దానముచేసిన దేశములోనికి వారిని రప్పింపగా

23. And their children multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land whereof thou hadst spoken unto their fathers, that they should go in to it, and have it in possession.

24. ఆ సంతతివారు ప్రవేశించి ఆ దేశమును స్వతంత్రించుకొనిరి. నీవు కనానీయులను ఆ దేశవాసులను జయించి, తమకు మనస్సువచ్చినట్లు చేయుటకు వారి రాజులను ఆ దేశజనులను వారి చేతికి అప్పగించితివి.

24. And the children went in, and possessed the land, and thou subduedest before them the inhabiters of the land, even the Cananites, and gavest them into their hand, and their kings and the people of the land, that they might do with them what they would.

25. అప్పుడు వారు ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణ ములను ఫలవంతమైన భూమిని స్వాధీనపరచుకొని, సకలమైన పదార్థములతో నిండియున్న యిండ్లను త్రవ్విన బావులను ద్రాక్షతోటలను ఒలీవ తోటలను బహు విస్తారముగా ఫలించు చెట్లను వశపరచుకొనిరి. ఆలాగున వారు తిని తృప్తిపొంది మదించి నీ మహోపకారమునుబట్టి బహుగా సంతోషించిరి.

25. And they won(wanne) their strong cities, and a fat land, and took possession of houses that were full of all manner goods, wells digged out, vineyards, olivegardens, and many fruitful trees: and they ate and were filled, and became fat, and lived in wealth thorow thy great goodness.

26. అయినను వారు అవిధేయులై నీ మీద తిరుగుబాటుచేసి, నీ ధర్మశాస్త్రమును లక్ష్య పెట్టక త్రోసివేసి, నీతట్టు తిరుగవలెనని తమకు ప్రకటన చేసిన నీ ప్రవక్తలను చంపి నీకు బహుగా విసుకు పుట్టించిరి.

26. Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets, which exhorted them so earnestly, that they should convert unto thee, and did great blasphemies.

27. అందుచేత నీవు వారిని వారి శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగించితివి. ఆ శత్రువులు వారిని బాధింపగా శ్రమకాలమందు వారు నీకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టినప్పుడు ఆకాశమందుండు నీవు ఆలకించి, వారి శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి వారిని తప్పించుటకై నీ కృపాసంపత్తిని బట్టి వారికి రక్షకులను దయచేసితివి.

27. Therefore gavest thou them over in to the hand of their enemies that vexed them. And in the time of their trouble they cried unto thee, and thou hardest them from heaven and thorow thy great mercy thou gavest them saviours, which helped them out of the hand of their enemies.

28. వారు నెమ్మదిపొందిన తరువాత నీ యెదుట మరల ద్రోహులుకాగా నీవు వారిని వారి శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగించితివి; వీరు వారిమీద అధికారము చేసిరి. వారు తిరిగి వచ్చి నీకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టినప్పుడు ఆకాశమందుండు నీవు ఆలంకించి నీ కృపచొప్పున అనేకమారులు వారిని విడిపించితివి.

28. But when they came to rest, they turned back again to do evil before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them. So they converted, and cried unto thee, and thou heardest them from heaven; and many time hast thou delivered them according to thy great mercy,

29. నీ ఆజ్ఞలను విధులను ఒకడు ఆచరించిన యెడల వాటివలన వాడు బ్రదుకునుగదా. వారు మరల నీ ధర్మశాస్త్రము ననుసరించి నడుచునట్లు నీవు వారిమీద సాక్ష్యము పలికినను, వారు గర్వించి నీ ఆజ్ఞలకు లోబడక నీ విధుల విషయములో పాపులై నిన్ను తిరస్కరించి తమ మనస్సును కఠినపరచుకొని నీ మాట వినకపోయిరి.

29. and testified unto them, that they should turn again unto thy law. Notwithstanding they were proud, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned in thy laws, (which a man should do and live in them) and turned the shoulder away, and were stiffnecked, and would not hear.

30. నీవు అనేక సంవత్సరములు వారిని ఓర్చి, నీ ప్రవక్తలద్వారా నీ ఆత్మచేత వారిమీద సాక్ష్యము పలికితివి గాని వారు వినక పోయిరి; కాగా నీవు ఆయా దేశములలోనున్న జనుల చేతికి వారిని అప్పగించితివి.

30. And many years didst thou forbear them, and testified unto them thorow thy spirit, even by the office of thy prophets, and yet would they not hear. Therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the nations in the lands.

31. అయితే నీవు మహోప కారివై యుండి, వారిని బొత్తిగా నాశనముచేయకయు విడిచిపెట్టకయు ఉంటివి. నిజముగా నీవు కృపాకనికర ములుగల దేవుడవై యున్నావు.

31. But for thy great mercies' sake thou hast not utterly consumed them, neither forsaken them: for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

32. చేసిన నిబంధనను నిలు పుచు కృప చూపునట్టి మహా పరాక్రమశాలివియు భయం కరుడవునగు మా దేవా, అష్షూరు రాజుల దినములు మొదలుకొని యీ దినములవరకు మా మీదికిని మా రాజుల మీదికిని ప్రధానులమీదికిని మా పితరులమీదికిని నీ జను లందరిమీదికిని వచ్చిన శ్రమయంతయు నీ దృష్టికి అల్ప ముగా ఉండకుండును గాక.

32. Now our God, thou great God, mighty and terrible, thou that keepest covenant and mercy, regard not a little all the travail that hath happened unto us, and our kings, princes, priests, prophets, fathers and all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assur unto this day.

33. మా మీదికి వచ్చిన శ్రమ లన్నిటిని చూడగా నీవు న్యాయస్థుడవే; నీవు సత్యము గానే ప్రవర్తించితివి కాని మేము దుర్మార్గులమైతివిు.

33. Thou art righteous in all that thou hast brought upon us: for thou hast done right.

34. మా రాజులు గాని మా ప్రధానులు గాని మా యాజకులు గాని మా పితరులు గాని నీ ధర్మశాస్త్రము ననుసరించి నడువలేదు. నీవు వారిమీద పలికిన సాక్ష్యములనైనను నీ ఆజ్ఞలనైనను వారు వినకపోయిరి.

34. As for us, we have been ungodly, and our kings, princes, priests, and fathers have not done after thy law, nor regarded thy commandments, and thy earnest exhortations wherewith thou hast exhorted them,

35. వారు తమ రాజ్య పరిపాలనకాలమందు నీవు తమ యెడల చూపించిన గొప్ప ఉపకారములను తలంచక, నీవు వారికిచ్చిన విస్తారమగు ఫలవంతమైన భూమిని అనుభవించియుండియు నిన్ను సేవింపకపోయిరి, తమ చెడు నడతలువిడిచి మారుమనస్సు పొందరైరి.

35. and have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goods that thou gavest them, and in the large and plenteous land which thou gavest them, (to good) and have not converted from their wicked works.

36. చిత్తగించుము, నేడు మేము దాస్యములో ఉన్నాము, దాని ఫలమును దాని సమృధ్ధిని అనుభవించునట్లు నీవు మా పితరులకు దయచేసిన భూమియందు మేము దాసులమై యున్నాము.
యోహాను 8:33

36. Behold, therefore are we in bondage this day: yea even in the land that thou gavest unto our fathers, to enjoy the fruits and goods thereof, behold, there are we bondsmen.

37. మా పాపములనుబట్టి నీవు మామీద నియమించిన రాజులకు అది అతివిస్తారముగా ఫల మిచ్చుచున్నది.

37. And great is the increase of it unto the kings, whom thou hast set over us because of our sins, and they have dominion over our bodies, and cattle, and we are in great trouble.

38. వారు తమకిష్టము వచ్చినట్లు మా శరీరములమీదను మా పశువులమీదను అధికారము చూపు చున్నారు గనుక మాకు చాల శ్రమలు కలుగుచున్నవి.

38. And in all this make we a sure covenant, and write it, and let our princes, Levites, and priests seal it.
