1. యోబు ఇంకను ఉపమానరీతిగా ఇట్లనెను

1. And Job addeth to lift up his simile, and saith: --

2. నా ఊపిరి యింకను నాలో పూర్ణముగా ఉండుటను బట్టియు దేవుని ఆత్మ నా నాసికారంధ్రములలో ఉండుటనుబట్టియు

2. God liveth! He turned aside my judgment, And the Mighty -- He made my soul bitter.

3. నా న్యాయమును పోగొట్టిన దేవుని జీవముతోడు నా ప్రాణమును వ్యాకులపరచిన సర్వశక్తునితోడు

3. For all the while my breath [is] in me, And the spirit of God in my nostrils.

4. నిశ్చయముగా నా పెదవులు అబద్ధము పలుకుటలేదు నా నాలుక మోసము నుచ్చరించుటలేదు.

4. My lips do not speak perverseness, And my tongue doth not utter deceit.

5. మీరు చెప్పినది న్యాయమని నేనేమాత్రమును ఒప్పు కొననుమరణమగువరకు నేనెంతమాత్రమును యథార్థతను విడువను.

5. Pollution to me -- if I justify you, Till I expire I turn not aside mine integrity from me.

6. నా నీతిని విడువక గట్టిగా పట్టుకొందును నా ప్రవర్తన అంతటి విషయములో నా హృదయమునన్ను నిందింపదు.

6. On my righteousness I have laid hold, And I do not let it go, My heart doth not reproach me while I live.

7. నాకు శత్రువులైనవారు దుష్టులుగా కనబడుదురు గాక నన్నెదిరించువారు నీతిలేనివారుగా కనబడుదురు గాక.

7. As the wicked is my enemy, And my withstander as the perverse.

8. దేవుడు వాని కొట్టివేయునప్పుడు వాని ప్రాణము తీసివేయునప్పుడు భక్తిహీనునికి ఆధారమేది?

8. For what [is] the hope of the profane, When He doth cut off? When God doth cast off his soul?

9. వానికి బాధ కలుగునప్పుడు దేవుడు వాని మొఱ్ఱ వినువా?

9. His cry doth God hear, When distress cometh on him?

10. వాడు సర్వశక్తునియందు ఆనందించునా? వాడు అన్ని సమయములలో దేవునికి ప్రార్థన చేయునా?

10. On the Mighty doth he delight himself? Call God at all times?

11. దేవుని హస్తమును గూర్చి నేను మీకు ఉపదేశించెదను సర్వశక్తుడు చేయు క్రియలను నేను దాచిపెట్టను.

11. I shew you by the hand of God, That which [is] with the Mighty I hide not.

12. మీలో ప్రతివాడు దాని చూచియున్నాడు మీరెందుకు కేవలము వ్యర్థమైనవాటిని భావించు చుందురు?

12. Lo, ye -- all of you -- have seen, And why [is] this -- ye are altogether vain?

13. దేవునివలన భక్తిహీనులకు నియమింపబడిన భాగము ఇది ఇది బాధించువారు సర్వశక్తునివలన పొందు స్వాస్థ్యము

13. This [is] the portion of wicked man with God, And the inheritance of terrible ones From the Mighty they receive.

14. వారి పిల్లలు విస్తరించినయెడల అది ఖడ్గముచేత పడు టకే గదా వారి సంతానమునకు చాలినంత ఆహారము దొరకదు.

14. If his sons multiply -- for them [is] a sword. And his offspring [are] not satisfied [with] bread.

15. వారికి మిగిలినవారు తెగులువలన చచ్చి పాతిపెట్ట బడెదరు వారి విధవరాండ్రు రోదనము చేయకుండిరి.

15. His remnant in death are buried, And his widows do not weep.

16. ధూళి అంత విస్తారముగా వారు వెండిని పోగుచేసినను జిగటమన్నంత విస్తారముగా వస్త్రములను సిద్ధ పరచుకొనినను

16. If he heap up as dust silver, And as clay prepare clothing,

17. వారు దాని సిద్ధపరచుకొనుటయే గాని నీతిమంతులు దాని కట్టుకొనెదరు నిరపరాధులు ఆ వెండిని పంచుకొనెదరు.

17. He prepareth -- and the righteous putteth [it] on, And the silver the innocent doth apportion.

18. పురుగుల గూళ్లవంటి యిండ్లు వారు కట్టుకొందురు కావలివాడు కట్టుకొను గుడిసెవంటి యిండ్లు వారు కట్టుకొందురు.

18. He hath built as a moth his house, And as a booth a watchman hath made.

19. వారు ధనముగలవారై పండుకొందురు గాని మరల లేవరు కన్నులు తెరవగానే లేకపోవుదురు.

19. Rich he lieth down, and he is not gathered, His eyes he hath opened, and he is not.

20. భయములు జలప్రవాహములవలె వారిని తరిమి పట్టు కొనును రాత్రివేళ తుఫాను వారిని ఎత్తికొనిపోవును.

20. Overtake him as waters do terrors, By night stolen him away hath a whirlwind.

21. తూర్పుగాలి వారిని కొనిపోగా వారు సమసి పోవు దురు అది వారి స్థలములోనుండి వారిని ఊడ్చివేయును

21. Take him up doth an east wind, and he goeth, And it frighteneth him from his place,

22. ఏమియు కరుణ చూపకుండ దేవుడు వారిమీద బాణములు వేయును వారు ఆయన చేతిలోనుండి తప్పించుకొనగోరి ఇటు అటు పారిపోవుదురు.

22. And it casteth at him, and doth not spare, From its hand he diligently fleeth.

23. మనుష్యులు వారిని చూచి చప్పట్లు కొట్టుదురు వారి స్థలములోనుండి వారిని చీకొట్టి తోలివేయుదురు.

23. It clappeth at him its hands, And it hisseth at him from his place.
