1. దేవుడు మోషేకును తన ప్రజలైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును చేసినదంతయు, యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఐగుప్తునుండి వెలుపలికి రప్పించిన సంగతియు, మిద్యాను యాజకుడును మోషే మామయునైన యిత్రో వినినప్పుడు

1. When Iethro the Priest of Midian Moses father in lawe heard all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and howe the Lord had brought Israel out of Egypt,

2. మోషే మామయైన ఆ యిత్రో తనయొద్దకు పంపబడిన మోషే భార్యయైన సిప్పోరాను ఆమె యిద్దరి కుమారులను తోడుకొని వచ్చెను.

2. Then Iethro the father in lawe of Moses, tooke Zipporah Moses wife, (after he had sent her away)

3. అతడు అన్యదేశములో నేను పరదేశిననుకొని వారిలో ఒకనికి గేర్షోము అని పేరుపెట్టెను.

3. And her two sonnes, (whereof the one was called Gershom: for he sayd, I haue bene an aliant in a strange land:

4. నా తండ్రి దేవుడు నాకు సహాయమై ఫరో కత్తివాత నుండి నన్ను తప్పించెననుకొని రెండవవానికి ఎలీయెజెరని పేరు పెట్టెను.

4. And the name of the other was Eliezer: for the God of my father, said he, was mine helpe, and deliuered me from the sword of Pharaoh)

5. మోషే మామయైన యిత్రో అతని కుమారులనిద్దరిని అతని భార్యను తోడుకొని అరణ్యములో దేవుని పర్వతము దగ్గర దిగిన మోషేయొద్దకు వచ్చెను.

5. And Iethro Moses father in law came with his two sonnes, and his wife vnto Moses into the wildernes, where he camped by ye mout of God.

6. యిత్రో అను నీ మామనైన నేనును నీ భార్యయు ఆమెతో కూడ ఆమె యిద్దరు కుమారులును నీయొద్దకు వచ్చియున్నామని మోషేకు వర్తమానము పంపగా

6. And he said to Moses, I thy father in law Iethro am come to thee, and thy wife and her two sonnes with her.

7. మోషే తన మామను ఎదుర్కొన పోయి వందనము చేసి అతని ముద్దు పెట్టుకొనెను. వారు ఒకరి క్షేమము ఒకరు తెలిసికొని గుడారములోనికి వచ్చిరి.

7. And Moses went out to meete his father in law, and did obeisance and kissed him, and eche asked other of his welfare: and they came into the tent.

8. తరువాత మోషే యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కొరకు ఫరోకును ఐగుప్తీయులకును చేసిన దంతయు, త్రోవలో తమకు వచ్చిన కష్టము యావత్తును, యెహోవా తమ్మును విడిపించిన సంగతియు తన మామతో వివరించి చెప్పెను.

8. Then Moses told his father in law all that the Lord had done vnto Pharaoh, and to the Egyptians for Israels sake, and all the trauaile that had come vnto them by the way, and howe the Lord deliuered them.

9. యెహోవా ఐగుప్తీయుల చేతిలొ నుండి విడిపించి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు చేసిన మేలంతటిని గూర్చి యిత్రో సంతోషించెను.

9. And Iethro reioyced at all the goodnesse, which the Lord had shewed to Israel, and because he had deliuered them out of the hande of the Egyptians.

10. మరియు యిత్రో ఐగుప్తీయుల చేతిలోనుండియు ఫరో చేతిలో నుండియు మిమ్మును విడిపించి, ఐగుప్తీయుల చేతిక్రిందనుండి ఈ ప్రజలను విడిపించిన యెహోవా స్తుతింపబడునుగాక.

10. Therfore Iethro sayd, Blessed be the Lord who hath deliuered you out of the hande of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh: who hath also deliuered the people from vnder the hand of the Egyptians.

11. ఐగుప్తీయులు గర్వించి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీద చేసిన దౌర్జన్యమునుబట్టి ఆయన చేసినదాని చూచి, యెహోవా సమస్త దేవతలకంటె గొప్పవాడని యిప్పుడు నాకు తెలిసినదనెను.

11. Now I know that the Lord is greater then all the gods: for as they haue dealt proudly with them, so are they recompensed.

12. మరియు మోషే మామయైన యిత్రో ఒక దహనబలిని బలులను దేవునికర్పింపగా అహరోనును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలందరును మోషే మామతో దేవుని సన్నిధిని భోజనము చేయవచ్చిరి.

12. Then Iethro Moses father in lawe tooke burnt offerings and sacrifices to offer vnto God. And Aaron and all the Elders of Israel came to eat bread with Moses father in law before God.

13. మరునాడు మోషే ప్రజలకు న్యాయము తీర్చుటకు కూర్చుండగా, ఉదయము మొదలుకొని సాయంకాలము వరకు ప్రజలు మోషే యొద్ద నిలిచియుండిరి.

13. Now on the morow, when Moses sate to iudge the people, the people stoode about Moses from morning vnto euen.

14. మోషే ప్రజలకు చేసినదంతయు అతని మామ చూచి - నీవు ఈ ప్రజలకు చేయుచున్న యీ పని ఏమిటి? ఉదయము మొదలుకొని సాయంకాలమువరకు నీవు మాత్రము కూర్చుండగా ప్రజలందరు నీయొద్ద నిలిచి యుండనేల అని అడుగగా

14. And when Moses father in law saw all that he did to the people, he sayde, What is this that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thy selfe alone, and all the people stande about thee from morning vnto euen?

15. మోషే దేవుని తీర్పు తెలిసి కొనుటకు ప్రజలు నా యొద్దకు వచ్చెదరు.

15. And Moses sayd vnto his father in law, Because the people come vnto me to seeke God.

16. వారికి వ్యాజ్యెము ఏదైనను కలిగినయెడల నా యొద్దకు వచ్చెదరు. నేను వారి విషయము న్యాయము తీర్చి, దేవుని కట్టడలను ఆయన ధర్మశాస్త్రవిధులను వారికి తెలుపుచున్నానని తన మామతో చెప్పెను.

16. When they haue a matter, they come vnto me, and I iudge betweene one and another, and declare the ordinances of God, and his lawes.

17. అందుకు మోషే మామ అతనితో నీవు చేయుచున్న పని మంచిది కాదు;

17. But Moses father in law said vnto him, The thing which thou doest, is not well.

18. నీవును నీతో నున్న యీ ప్రజలును నిశ్చయముగా నలిగిపోవుదురు; ఈ పని నీకు మిక్కిలి భారము, అది నీవు ఒక్కడవే చేయచాలవు.

18. Thou both weariest thy selfe greatly, and this people that is with thee: for the thing is too heauie for thee: thou art not able to doe it thy selfe alone.

19. కాబట్టి నా మాట వినుము. నేను నీకొక ఆలోచన చెప్పెదను. దేవుడు నీకు తోడైయుండును, ప్రజల పక్షమున నీవు దేవుని సముఖమందు ఉండి వారి వ్యాజ్యెములను దేవుని యొద్దకు తేవలెను.

19. Heare nowe my voyce, (I will giue thee counsell, and God shalbe with thee) be thou for the people to Godwarde, and report thou the causes vnto God,

20. నీవు వారికి ఆయన కట్టడలను ధర్మశాస్త్రవిధులను బోధించి, వారు నడవవలసిన త్రోవను వారు చేయవలసిన కార్యములను వారికి తెలుపవలెను.

20. And admonish them of the ordinances, and of the lawes, and shew them the way, wherein they must walke, and the worke that they must do.

21. మరియు నీవు ప్రజలందరిలో సామర్థ్యము దైవభక్తి సత్యాసక్తి కలిగి, లంచగొండులుకాని మనుష్యులను ఏర్పరచుకొని, వేయిమందికి ఒకనిగాను, నూరుమందికి ఒకనిగాను, ఏబదిమందికి ఒకనిగాను, పది మందికి ఒకనిగాను, వారిమీద న్యాయాధిపతులను నియమింపవలెను.

21. Moreouer, prouide thou among al the people men of courage, fearing God, men dealing truely, hating couetousnesse: and appoynt such ouer them to be rulers ouer thousandes, rulers ouer hundreths, rulers ouer fifties, and rulers ouer tennes.

22. వారు ఎల్లప్పుడును ప్రజలకు న్యాయము తీర్చవలెను. అయితే గొప్ప వ్యాజ్యెములన్నిటిని నీయొద్దకు తేవలెను. ప్రతి అల్పవిషయమును వారే తీర్చవచ్చును. అట్లు వారు నీతో కూడ ఈ భారమును మోసిన యెడల నీకు సుళువుగా ఉండును.

22. And let them iudge the people at all seasons: but euery great matter let them bring vnto thee, and let them iudge all small causes: so shall it be easier for thee, when they shall beare the burden with thee.

23. దేవుడు ఈలాగు చేయుటకు నీకు సెలవిచ్చినయెడల నీవు ఈ పని చేయుచు దాని భారమును సహింపగలవు. మరియు ఈ ప్రజలందరు తమ తమ చోట్లకు సమాధానముగా వెళ్లుదురని చెప్పెను.

23. If thou do this thing, (and God so command thee) both thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go quietly to their place.

24. మోషే తన మామ మాట విని అతడు చెప్పినదంతయు చేసెను.

24. So Moses obeyed the voyce of his father in law, and did all that he had sayd:

25. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిలో సామర్థ్యముగల మనుష్యులను ఏర్పరచుకొని, వెయ్యిమందికి ఒకనిగాను, నూరు మందికి ఒకనిగాను, ఏబదిమందికి ఒకనిగాను, పదిమందికి ఒకనిగాను, న్యాయాధిపతులను ఏర్పాటు చేసి వారిని ప్రజలమీద ప్రధానులనుగా నియమించెను.

25. And Moses chose men of courage out of all Israel, and made them heads ouer the people, rulers ouer thousandes, rulers ouer hundreths, rulers ouer fifties, and rulers ouer tennes.

26. వారెల్లప్పుడును ప్రజలకు న్యాయము తీర్చువారు. వారు కఠిన వ్యాజ్యెములను మోషే యొద్దకు తెచ్చుచు, స్వల్ప వ్యాజ్యెములను తామే తీర్చుచువచ్చిరి.

26. And they iudged the people at all seasons, but they brought the hard causes vnto Moses: for they iudged all small matters themselues.

27. తరువాత మోషే తన మామను పంపివేయగా అతడు తన స్వదేశమునకు వెళ్లెను.

27. Afterward Moses let his father in law depart, and he went into his countrey.
