1. మోషే కొండదిగకుండ తడవుచేయుట ప్రజలు చూచినప్పుడు ఆ ప్రజలు అహరోనునొద్దకు కూడి వచ్చి లెమ్ము, మా ముందర నడుచుటకు ఒక దేవతను మాకొరకు చేయుము. ఐగుప్తులోనుండి మమ్మును రప్పించిన ఆ మోషే అనువాడు ఏమాయెనో మాకు తెలియదని అతనితో చెప్పిరి.
అపో. కార్యములు 7:40

1. But whan the people sawe that Moses made loge taryenge to come downe fro the mount, they gathered the together agaynst Aaron, & sayde vnto him: Vp, and make vs goddes, to go before vs, for we can not tell what is become of this man Moses, that brought vs out of Egipte.

2. అందుకు అహరోను మీ భార్యలకు మీ కుమారులకు మీ కుమార్తెలకు చెవుల నున్న బంగారు పోగులను తీసి నాయొద్దకు తెండని వారితో చెప్పగా

2. Aaron sayde vnto them: Plucke of the golden earynges from the eares of youre wyues, of yor sonnes, & of yor doughters, & brynge them vnto me.

3. ప్రజలందరు తమ చెవులనున్న బంగారు పోగులను తీసి అహరోను నొద్దకు తెచ్చిరి.

3. Then all the people pluckte of their golden earynges from their eares, & brought them vnto Aaron.

4. అతడు వారియొద్ద వాటిని తీసికొని పోగరతో రూపమును ఏర్పరచి దానిని పోత పోసిన దూడగా చేసెను. అప్పుడు వారు ఓ ఇశ్రాయేలూ, ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడు ఇదే అనిరి.

4. And he toke them of their handes, & fashioned it wt a grauer. And they made a molten calfe, and sayde: These are thy goddes (O Israel) that brought the out of the londe of Egipte.

5. అహరోను అది చూచి దాని యెదుట ఒక బలిపీఠము కట్టించెను. మరియు అహరోను రేపు యెహోవాకు పండుగ జరుగునని చాటింపగా

5. Whan Aaron sawe that, he buylded an altare before him, and caused it be proclamed, and sayde: Tomorow is the LORDES feast.

6. మరునాడు వారు ఉదయమున లేచి దహన బలులను సమాధానబలుల నర్పించిరి. అప్పుడు జనులు తినుటకును త్రాగుటకును కూర్చుండి ఆడుటకు లేచిరి.

6. And they arose vp early in the mornynge, and offred burntofferynges, and brought deadofferynges also: Then the people sat them downe to eate and drynke, & rose vp to playe.

7. కాగా యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇట్లనెను నీవు దిగి వెళ్లుము; ఐగుప్తుదేశమునుండి నీవు రప్పించిన నీ ప్రజలు చెడిపోయిరి.

7. But the LORDE sayde vnto Moses: Go get the downe, for thy people whom thou broughtest out of the londe of Egipte,

8. నేను వారికి నియమించిన త్రోవనుండి త్వరగా తొలగిపోయి తమకొరకు పోతపోసిన దూడను చేసికొని దానికి సాగిలపడి బలినర్పించి ఓయి ఇశ్రాయేలూ, ఐగుప్తుదేశమునుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడు ఇదే అని చెప్పుకొనిరనెను.

8. haue marred all: they are soone gone out of the waie, which I commaunded them. They haue made them a molten calfe, and haue worshipped it, & offred vnto it, & sayde: These are thy goddes (O Israel) that brought the out of the lande of Egipte.

9. మరియు యెహోవా ఇట్లనెను నేను ఈ ప్రజలను చూచియున్నాను; ఇదిగో వారు లోబడనొల్లని ప్రజలు.

9. And the LORDE sayde vnto Moses: I se, that it is a styffnecked people,

10. కావున నీవు ఊరకుండుము; నా కోపము వారిమీద మండును, నేను వారిని కాల్చివేసి నిన్ను గొప్ప జనముగా చేసెదనని మోషేతో చెప్పగా

10. and now suffre me, that my wrath maye waxe whote ouer them, & that I maye consume them, so wil I make a greate people of the.

11. మోషే తన దేవుడైన యెహోవాను బ్రతిమాలుకొని యెహోవా, నీవు మహాశక్తివలన బాహుబలము వలన ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి రప్పించిన నీ ప్రజలమీద నీ కోపము మండనేల?

11. But Moses be sought the LORDE his God, & sayde: Oh LORDE, wherfore wil thy wrath waxe whote ouer thy people, whom thou hast brought out of the lode of Egipte wt greate power & a mightie hade?

12. ఆయన కొండలలో వారిని చంపునట్లును భూమిమీదనుండి వారిని నశింపచేయునట్లును కీడుకొరకే వారిని తీసికొని పోయెనని ఐగుప్తీయులు ఏల చెప్పుకొనవలెను? నీ కోపాగ్నినుండి మళ్లుకొని నీవు

12. Wherfore shulde the Egipcians speake, & saye: He hath brought the for their myschefe, to slaye them in the mountaynes, and to destroye the vtterly from the earth? O turne the from the fearcenesse of yi wrath, & be gracious ouer the wickednesse of thy people.

13. నీ సేవకులైన అబ్రాహామును ఇస్సాకును ఇశ్రాయేలును జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము. నీవు వారితో ఆకాశనక్షత్రములవలె మీ సంతానము అభివృద్ధిజేసి నేను చెప్పిన యీ సమస్తభూమిని మీ సంతానమున కిచ్చెదననియు, వారు నిరంతరము దానికి హక్కుదారులగుదురనియు వారితో నీతోడని ప్రమాణముచేసి చెప్పితివనెను.

13. Remembre thy seruautes Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, vnto who thou swarest by thyne owne self, and saydest: I wil multiplye youre sede as the starres of heauen, and all the londe that I haue promysed you, wil I geue vnto youre sede, & they shall inheret it for euer.

14. అంతట యెహోవా తన ప్రజలకు చేసెదనని చెప్పిన కీడునుగూర్చి సంతాపపడెను.

14. Thus the LORDE repented of the euell, which he sayde he wolde do vnto his people.

15. మోషే శాసనములుగల రెండు పలకలను చేత పట్టుకొని కొండ దిగి వచ్చెను. ఆ పలకలు ఇరు ప్రక్కలను వ్రాయబడినవి; అవి ఈ ప్రక్కను ఆ ప్రక్కను వ్రాయ బడియుండెను.

15. Moses turned him, & wente downe from the mount, and in his hande he had the two tables of wytnesse, which were wrytte vpon both the sydes,

16. ఆ పలకలు దేవుడు చేసినవి; ఆ పలకల మీద చెక్కబడిన వ్రాత దేవుని చేవ్రాత.

16. and were Gods worke, & the wrytinge was the wrytinge of God therin.

17. ఆ ప్రజలు పెద్దకేకలు వేయుచుండగా యెహోషువ ఆ ధ్వని వినిపాళెములో యుద్ధధ్వని అని మోషేతో అనగా

17. Now whan Iosua herde the noyse of ye people, as they shouted, he sayde vnto Moses: This is a noyse of warre in the hoost.

18. అతడు అది జయధ్వనికాదు, అపజయ ధ్వనికాదు, సంగీత ధ్వని నాకు వినబడుచున్నదనెను.

18. He answered: It is not a noyse of them that haue the victory, and of them that haue the worse, but I heare a noyse of synginge at a daunse.

19. అతడు పాళెమునకు సమీపింపగా, ఆ దూడను, వారు నాట్యమాడుటను చూచెను. అందుకు మోషే కోపము మండెను; అతడు కొండదిగువను తన చేతులలోనుండి ఆ పలకలను పడవేసి వాటిని పగులగొట్టెను.

19. Whan he came nye vnto the hoost, and sawe the calfe, and the daunsynge, he was moued with wrath, and cast the tables out of his hande, and brake them beneth the mount.

20. మరియు అతడు వారు చేసిన ఆ దూడను తీసికొని అగ్నితో కాల్చి పొడిచేసి నీళ్లమీద చల్లి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులచేత దాని త్రాగించెను.

20. And he toke the calfe that they had made, and brent it with fyre, and stamped it vnto poulder, and strowed it in the water, & gaue it vnto the children of Israel to drynke,

21. అప్పుడు మోషేనీవు ఈ ప్రజలమీదికి ఈ గొప్ప పాపము రప్పించునట్లు వారు నిన్ను ఏమిచేసిరని అహరోనును నడుగగా

21. & sayde vnto Aaron: What dyd this people vnto the, that thou hast brought so greate a synne vpon them?

22. అహరోను నా యేలినవాడా, నీ కోపము మండనియ్యకుము. ఈ ప్రజలు దుర్మార్గులను మాట నీ వెరుగుదువు.

22. Aaron sayde: Let not the wrath of my lorde waxe fearce: thou knowest, that this is a wicked people.

23. వారు మాకు ముందు నడుచుటకు ఒక దేవతను చేయుము; ఐగుప్తులోనుండి మమ్మును రప్పించినవాడగు ఈ మోషే యేమాయెనో మాకు తెలియదనిరి.
అపో. కార్యములు 7:40

23. They sayde vnto me: Make vs goddes to go before vs, for we cannot tell what is become of this man Moses, yt brought vs out of the londe of Egipte.

24. అందుకు నేను ఎవరియొద్ద బంగారము ఉన్నదో వారు దానిని ఊడదీసి తెండని చెప్పితిని. నేను దాని అగ్నిలో వేయగా ఈ దూడ యాయెననెను.

24. I sayde vnto them: Who so hath golde, let him plucke it of, and geue it me: and I cast it in the fyre, therof came this calfe.

25. ప్రజలు విచ్చల విడిగా తిరుగుట మోషే చూచెను. వారి విరోధులలో వారికి ఎగతాళి కలుగునట్లు అహరోను విచ్చలవిడిగా తిరుగుటకు వారిని విడిచి పెట్టి యుండెను.

25. Now whan Moses sawe, that the people were naked (for Aaron, whan he set them vp, made them naked to their shame)

26. అందుకు మోషే పాళెముయొక్క ద్వారమున నిలిచి యెహోవా పక్షమున నున్న వారందరు నాయొద్దకు రండి అనగా లేవీయులందరును అతని యొద్దకు కూడి వచ్చిరి.

26. he wete in to the gate of the hoost, and sayde: who so belongeth vnto the LORDE, let him come hither vnto me. Then all the children of Leui gathered them selues vnto him,

27. అతడు వారిని చూచి మీలో ప్రతివాడును తన కత్తిని తన నడుమున కట్టుకొని పాళెములో ద్వారము నుండి ద్వారమునకు వెళ్లుచు, ప్రతివాడు తన సహోదరుని ప్రతివాడు తన చెలికానిని ప్రతివాడు తన పొరుగువానిని చంపవలెనని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులదేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నా డనెను.

27. and he sayde vnto them: Thus sayeth the LORDE the God of Israel: Euery man put his swerde by his syde, and go thorow in and out from one gate to another in the hoost, and slaye euery man his brother, frende, & neghboure.

28. లేవీయులు మోషే మాటచొప్పున చేయగా, ఆ దినమున ప్రజలలో ఇంచుమించు మూడువేలమంది కూలిరి.

28. The children of Leui dyd, as Moses sayde vnto them. And there fell of the people the same daye thre thousande men.

29. ఏలయనగా మోషే వారిని చూచి నేడు యెహోవా మిమ్మును ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు మీలో ప్రతివాడు తన కుమారునిమీద పడియేగాని తన సహోదరునిమీద పడియేగాని యెహోవాకు మిమ్మును మీరే ప్రతిష్ఠ చేసికొనుడనెను.

29. The sayde Moses: Cosecrate youre handes this daie vnto the LORDE, euery man vpon his sonne and brother, that the prayse maye be geuen ouer you this daye.

30. మరునాడు మోషే ప్రజలతో మీరు గొప్ప పాపము చేసితిరి గనుక యెహోవాయొద్దకు కొండ యెక్కి వెళ్లెదను; ఒకవేళ మీ పాపమునకు ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయగలనేమో అనెను.

30. On the morow Moses sayde vnto the people: Ye haue done a greate synnne. Now I wil go vp vnto the LORDE, yf peraduenture I maye make an attonement for youre synnes.

31. అప్పుడు మోషే యెహోవా యొద్దకు తిరిగి వెళ్లి అయ్యో యీ ప్రజలు గొప్ప పాపము చేసిరి; వారు బంగారు దేవతను తమకొరకు చేసికొనిరి.

31. Now wha Moses came agayne vnto ye LORDE, he saide: Oh this people haue done a greate synne, & haue made them goddes of golde.

32. అయ్యో నీవు వారి పాపమును ఒకవేళ పరిహరించితివా, లేనియెడల నీవు వ్రాసిన నీ గ్రంథములో నుండి నా పేరు తుడిచివేయుమని బ్రతిమాలుకొనుచున్నాననెను.

32. Now for geue them their synne: yf not, the wype me out of yi boke, that thou hast wrytten.

33. అందుకు యెహోవా యెవడు నా యెదుట పాపము చేసెనో వాని నా గ్రంథములోనుండి తుడిచి వేయుదును.

33. The LORDE sayde vnto Moses: What? Him that synneth against me, wil I wype out of my boke.

34. కాబట్టి నీవు వెళ్లి నేను నీతో చెప్పిన చోటికి ప్రజలను నడిపించుము. ఇదిగో నా దూత నీకు ముందుగా వెళ్లును. నేను వచ్చు దినమున వారి పాపమును వారి మీదికి రప్పించెదనని మోషేతో చెప్పెను.

34. Go thou yi waye therfore, and brynge ye people thither as I haue sayde vnto the, Beholde, myne angell shall go before the. But in the daye of my visitacion I wyll vyset their synnes vpon them.

35. అహరోను కల్పించిన దూడను ప్రజలు చేయించినందున యెహోవా వారిని బాధపెట్టెను.

35. So the LORDE plaged the people, because they made ye calfe which Aaron made.
