1. అయినను వేదనపొందిన దేశముమీద మబ్బు నిలువ లేదు పూర్వకాలమున ఆయన జెబూలూను దేశమును నఫ్తాలి దేశమును అవమానపరచెను అంత్యకాలమున ఆయన సముద్రప్రాంతమును, అనగా యొర్దాను అద్దరిని అన్యజనుల గలిలయ ప్రదేశమును మహిమగలదానిగా చేయుచున్నాడు.
మత్తయి 4:15-16

1. Even like as in time past it hath been well seen, that the land of Zabulon and the land of Nephtali (where thorow the sea way goeth over Jordan in to the land of Galilee) was at the first in little trouble, but afterward sore vexed.

2. చీకటిలో నడుచు జనులు గొప్ప వెలుగును చూచు చున్నారు మరణచ్ఛాయగల దేశనివాసులమీద వెలుగు ప్రకా శించును.
లూకా 1:79, 2 కోరింథీయులకు 4:6, 1 పేతురు 2:9, మత్తయి 4:15-16

2. Nevertheless the people that have dwelt in darkness, shall see a great light. As for them that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them shall the light shine.

3. నీవు జనమును విస్తరింపజేయుచున్నావు వారి సంతోషమును వృద్ధిపరచుచున్నావు కోతకాలమున మనుష్యులు సంతోషించునట్లు దోపుడుసొమ్ము పంచుకొనువారు సంతోషించునట్లు వారు నీ సన్నిధిని సంతోషించుచున్నారు.

3. Shalt thou multiply the people, and not increase the joy also? They shall rejoice before thee even as men make merry in harvest, and as men that have gotten the victory, when they deal the spoil.

4. మిద్యాను దినమున జరిగినట్లు వాని బరువు కాడిని నీవు విరిచియున్నావు వాని మెడను కట్టుకఱ్ఱను వాని తోలువాని కొరడాలను విరిచియున్నావు.

4. For thou shalt break the yoke of the people's burthen: the staff of his shoulder and the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of(at) Madian.

5. యుద్ధపుసందడిచేయు యోధులందరి జోళ్లును రక్తములో పొరలింపబడిన వస్త్రములును అగ్నిలో వేయబడి దహింపబడును.

5. Moreover all temerarious and seditious power (yea where there is but a coat filled with blood) shall be burnt, and fed the fire.

6. ఏలయనగా మనకు శిశువు పుట్టెను మనకు కుమారుడు అనుగ్రహింపబడెను ఆయన భుజముమీద రాజ్యభారముండును. ఆశ్చర్యకరుడు ఆలోచనకర్త బలవంతుడైన దేవుడు నిత్యుడగు తండ్రి సమాధానకర్తయగు అధిపతి అని అతనికి పేరు పెట్టబడును.

6. For unto us a child shall be born, and unto us a son shall be given. Upon his shoulders shall the kingdom lie, and he shall be called with his own name: the wonderous giver of counsel, the mighty God, the everlasting father, the Prince of peace,

7. ఇది మొదలుకొని మితిలేకుండ దానికి వృద్ధియు క్షేమ మును కలుగునట్లు సర్వకాలము దావీదు సింహాసనమును రాజ్యమును నియమించును న్యాయమువలనను నీతివలనను రాజ్యమును స్థిరపరచుటకు అతడు సింహాసనాసీనుడై రాజ్యపరిపాలన చేయును. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తికలిగి దీనిని నెరవేర్చును.

7. he shall make no end to increase the kingdom and peace, and shall sit upon the seat of David and in his kingdom, to set up the same, to stablish it with equity and righteousness, from thence forth for evermore. This shall the jealousy of the LORD of hoostes bring to pass.

8. ప్రభువు యాకోబు విషయమై వర్తమానము పంపగా అది ఇశ్రాయేలువరకు దిగివచ్చియున్నది.

8. The Lord sent a word in to Jacob, the same is come in to Israel.

9. అది ఎఫ్రాయిముకును షోమ్రోను నివాసులకును ప్రజల కందరికి తెలియవలసియున్నది.

9. And the people also of Ephraim, and they that dwell in Samaria, can say with pride and high stomachs, on this manner:

10. వారుఇటికలతో కట్టినది పడిపోయెను చెక్కిన రాళ్లతో కట్టుదము రండి; రావికఱ్ణతో కట్టినది నరకబడెను, వాటికి మారుగా దేవదారు కఱ్ఱను వేయుదము రండని అతిశయపడి గర్వముతో చెప్పుకొనుచున్నారు.

10. The tile work is fallen down, but we will build it with harder stones. The Mulberry timber is broken, but we shall set it up again with Cedar.

11. యెహోవా వానిమీదికి రెజీనునకు విరోధులైన వారిని హెచ్చించుచు వాని శత్రువులను రేపుచున్నాడు.

11. Nevertheless, the LORD shall prepare Razin the enemy against them, and so order their adversaries,

12. తూర్పున సిరియాయు పడమట ఫిలిష్తీయులును నోరు తెరచి ఇశ్రాయేలును మింగివేయవలెనని యున్నారు ఈలాగు జరిగినను ఆయన కోపము చల్లారలేదు. ఆయన బాహువు ఇంకను చాపబడియున్నది.

12. that the Sirians shall lay hold upon them before, and the Philistines behind, and so devour Israel with open mouth. After all this, the wrath of the Lord shall not cease, but yet his hand shall be stretched out still.

13. అయినను జనులు తమ్ము కొట్టినవానితట్టు తిరుగుట లేదు సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవాను వెదకరు.

13. For the people turneth not unto him, that chastiseth them, neither do they seek the LORD of Hosts.

14. కావున యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలులోనుండి తలను తోకను తాటికమ్మను రెల్లును ఒక్క దినమున కొట్టివేయును.

14. Therefore the LORD shall root out of Israel both head and tail, branch and twig in one day.

15. పెద్దలును ఘనులును తల; కల్లలాడు ప్రవక్తలు తోక.

15. By the head, is understand(understonde) the Senator and honorable man, and by the tail, the Prophet that preacheth lies.

16. ఈ జనుల నాయకులు త్రోవ తప్పించువారు వారిని వెంబడించువారు వారిచేత మింగివేయబడు దురు.

16. For all they which enforme the people that they be in a right cause, such be deceivers. Such as men think also to be perfect among these, are but cast away.

17. వారందరును భక్తిహీనులును దుర్మార్గులునై యున్నారు ప్రతి నోరు దుర్భాషలాడును కాబట్టి ప్రభువు వారి ¸యౌవనస్థులను చూచి సంతోషింపడు వారిలో తలిదండ్రులు లేనివారియందైనను వారి విధవరాండ్రయందైనను జాలిపడడు. ఈలాగు జరిగినను ఆయన కోపము చల్లారలేదు ఆయన బాహువు ఇంకను చాపబడియున్నది.

17. Therefore shall the Lord(LORDE) have no pleasure in their young men, neither favour their fatherless and widows. For they are all together hypocrites and wicked, and all their mouths speak folly. After all this shall not the Lord's(LORDEs) wrath cease, but yet his hand shall be stretched out still.

18. భక్తిహీనత అగ్నివలె మండుచున్నది అది గచ్చపొదలను బలురక్కసి చెట్లను కాల్చి అడవి పొదలలో రాజును అవి దట్టమైన పొగవలె చుట్టుకొనుచు పైకి ఎగయును.

18. For the ungodly burn, as a fire in the briers and thorns: And as it were out of a fire in a wood or a red(read) bush, so ascendeth the smoke of their pride.

19. సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఉగ్రతవలన దేశము కాలిపోయెను. జనులును అగ్నికి కట్టెలవలె నున్నారు వారిలో ఒకనినొకడు కరుణింపడు.

19. For this cause shall the wrath of the LORD of Hosts fall upon the land, and the people shall be consumed, as it were with fire, no man shall spare his brother.

20. కుడిప్రక్కన ఉన్నదాని పట్టుకొందురు గాని ఇంకను ఆకలిగొని యుందురు; ఎడమప్రక్కన ఉన్నదాని భక్షించుదురు గాని ఇంకను తృప్తిపొందక యుందురు వారిలో ప్రతివాడు తన బాహువును భక్షించును

20. If a man do turn him to the right hand, he shall famish, or to the left hand to eat, he shall not have enough. Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm:

21. మనష్షే ఎఫ్రాయిమును ఎఫ్రాయిము మనష్షేను భక్షించును వీరిద్దరు ఏకీభవించి యూదామీద పడుదురు. ఈలాగు జరిగినను ఆయన కోపము చల్లారలేదు ఆయన బాహువు ఇంకను చాపబడియున్నది.

21. Manasses shall eat Ephraim and Ephraim Manasses, and they both shall eat Juda. After all this shall not the Lord's(LORDES) wrath cease, but yet shall his hand be stretched out still.
