1. మరియు యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

1. And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

2. నీవు వెళ్లి యెరూషలేము నివాసుల చెవులలో ఈ సమాచారము ప్రకటింపుము. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా - నీవు అరణ్యములోను, విత్తనములు వేయదగనిదేశములోను, నన్ను వెంబడించుచు నీ ¸యౌవనకాలములో నీవు చూపిన అనురాగమును నీ వైవాహిక ప్రేమను నేను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుచున్నాను.

2. 'Go, and thou hast called in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus said Jehovah: I have remembered for thee The kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, Thy going after Me in a wilderness, in a land not sown.

3. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితజనమును, ఆయన రాబడికి ప్రథమ ఫలమును ఆయెను, అతని లయపరచువారందరు శిక్షకు పాత్రులైరి, వారికి కీడు సంభవించును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. Holy [is] Israel to Jehovah, The first-fruit of His increase, All consuming him are guilty, Evil cometh in unto them, an affirmation of Jehovah.

4. యాకోబు ఇంటివారలారా, ఇశ్రాయేలు ఇంటివారలారా, మీరందరు యెహోవా వాక్కు వినుడి.

4. Hear a word of Jehovah, O house of Jacob, And all ye families of the house of Israel.

5. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు - నాయందు ఏ దుర్నీతి చూచి మీ పితరులు వ్యర్థమైనదాని ననుసరించి, తాము వ్యర్థులగునట్లు నాయొద్దనుండి దూరముగా తొలగి పోయిరి?

5. Thus said Jehovah: What -- have your fathers found in Me perversity, That they have gone far off from Me, And go after the vanity, and become vain,

6. ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి మమ్మును రప్పించిన యెహోవా యెక్కడ నున్నాడని అరణ్యములో అనగా, ఎడారులు, గోతులుగల దేశములో అనావృష్టియు గాఢాంధకారమును కలిగి, యెవరును సంచారమైనను నివాసమైనను చేయని దేశములో మమ్మును నడిపించిన యెహోవా యెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని జనులు అడుగుటలేదు.

6. And have not said, Where [is] Jehovah, Who bringeth us up out of the land of Egypt, Who leadeth us in a wilderness, In a land of deserts and pits, In a dry land, and of death-shade, In a land -- none hath passed through it, Nor dwelt hath man there?'

7. దాని ఫలములను శ్రేష్ఠపదార్థములను తినునట్లు నేను ఫలవంతమైన దేశములోనికి మిమ్మును రప్పింపగా మీరు ప్రవేశించి, నా దేశమును అపవిత్రపరచి నా స్యాస్థ్యమును హేయమైనదిగా చేసితిరి.

7. Yea, I bring you in to a land of fruitful fields, To eat its fruit and its goodness, And ye come in and defile My land, And Mine inheritance have made an abomination.

8. యెహోవా యెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని యాజకులడుగరు, ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకులు నన్నెరుగరు, ఏలికలును నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయుదురు. ప్రవక్తలు బయలుపేరట ప్రవచనములు చెప్పుదురు నిష్‌ప్రయోజనమైనవాటిని అనుసరింతురు

8. The priests have not said, 'Where [is] Jehovah?' And those handling the law have not known Me. And the shepherds transgressed against Me, And the prophets have prophesied by Baal, And after those who profit not have gone.

9. కావున నేనికమీదట మీతోను మీ పిల్లల పిల్లలతోను వ్యాజ్యెమాడెదను; ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Therefore, yet I plead with you, An affirmation of Jehovah, And with your sons' sons I plead.

10. కీత్తీయుల ద్వీపములకు పోయి చూడుడి, కేదారునకు దూతలను పంపి బాగుగా విచారించి తెలిసికొనుడి. మీలో జరిగిన ప్రకారము ఎక్కడనైనను జరిగినదా?

10. For, pass to the isles of Chittim, and see, And to Kedar send, and consider well, And see if there hath been like this:

11. దైవత్వము లేని తమ దేవతలను ఏ జనమైనను ఎప్పుడైనను మార్చుకొనెనా? అయినను నా ప్రజలు ప్రయోజనము లేనిదానికై తమ మహిమను మార్చుకొనిరి.

11. Hath a nation changed gods? (And they [are] no gods!) And My people hath changed its honour For that which doth not profit.

12. ఆకాశమా, దీనిబట్టి విస్మయ పడుము, కంపించుము, బొత్తిగా పాడై పొమ్ము; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

12. Be astonished, ye heavens, at this, Yea, be frightened, be greatly wasted, An affirmation of Jehovah.

13. నా జనులు రెండు నేరములు చేసియున్నారు, జీవజలముల ఊటనైన నన్ను విడిచి యున్నారు, తమకొరకు తొట్లను, అనగా బద్దలై నీళ్లు నిలువని తొట్లను తొలిపించుకొనియున్నారు.

13. For two evils hath My people done, Me they have forsaken, a fountain of living waters, To hew out for themselves wells -- broken wells, That contain not the waters.

14. ఇశ్రాయేలు కొనబడిన దాసుడా? యింటపుట్టిన దాసుడా? కాడు గదా; అతడేల దోపుడుసొమ్మాయెను?

14. A servant [is] Israel? Is he a child of the house? Wherefore hath he been for a prey?

15. కొదమ సింహములు వానిపైని బొబ్బలు పెట్టెను గర్జించెను, అవి అతని దేశము పాడుచేసెను, అతని పట్టణములు నివాసులులేక పాడా యెను.

15. Against him roar do young lions, They have given forth their voice, And make his land become a desolation, His cities have been burnt without inhabitant.

16. నోపు, తహపనేసు అను పట్టణములవారు నీ నెత్తిని బద్దలు చేసిరి.

16. Also sons of Noph and Tahapanes Consume thee -- the crown of the head!

17. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను మార్గ ములో నడిపించుచుండగా నీవు ఆయనను విసర్జించుట వలన నీకు నీవే యీ బాధ కలుగజేసికొంటివి గదా.

17. Dost thou not do this to thyself? [By] thy forsaking Jehovah thy God, At the time He is leading thee in the way?

18. నీవు షీహోరు నీళ్లు త్రాగుటకు ఐగుప్తు మార్గములో నీకేమి పనియున్నది? యూఫ్రటీసునది నీళ్లు త్రాగుటకు అష్షూరు మార్గములో నీకేమి పనియున్నది.

18. And now, what -- to thee in the way of Egypt, To drink the waters of Sihor? And what -- to thee in the way of Asshur, To drink the waters of the River?

19. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను విసర్జించుటయు, నీకు నా యెడల భయ భక్తులు లేకుండుటయు, బాధకును శ్రమకును కారణమగు నని నీవు తెలిసికొని గ్రహించునట్లు నీ చెడుతనము నిన్ను శిక్షించును, నీవు చేసిన ద్రోహము నిన్ను గద్దించునని ప్రభువును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెల విచ్చుచున్నాడు.

19. Instruct thee doth thy wickedness, And thy backslidings reprove thee, Know and see that an evil and a bitter thing [Is] thy forsaking Jehovah thy God, And My fear not being on thee, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah of Hosts.

20. పూర్వ కాలమునుండి నేను నీ కాడిని విరుగగొట్టి నీ బంధకములను తెంపివేసితినినేను సేవచేయనని చెప్పుచున్నావు; ఎత్తయిన ప్రతి కొండమీదను పచ్చని ప్రతి చెట్టుక్రిందను వేశ్యవలె క్రీడించుచున్నావు.

20. For from of old thou hast broken thy yoke, Drawn away thy bands, and sayest, 'I do not serve,' For, on every high height, and under every green tree, Thou art wandering -- a harlot.

21. శ్రేష్ఠమైన ద్రాక్షావల్లివంటి దానిగా నేను నిన్ను నాటి తిని; కేవలము నిక్కమైన విత్తనమువలని చెట్టు వంటిదానిగా నిన్ను నాటితిని; నాకు జాతిహీనపు ద్రాక్షావల్లివలె నీ వెట్లు భ్రష్టసంతాన మైతివి?

21. And I planted thee a choice vine, wholly a true seed, And how hast thou been turned to Me, To the degenerate shoots of a strange vine?

22. నీవు క్షారముతో కడుగుకొనినను విస్తారమైన సబ్బు రాచుకొనినను నీ దోషము మరకవలె నాకు కనబడుచున్నది; ఇది ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

22. But though thou dost wash with nitre, And dost multiply to thyself soap, Marked is thine iniquity before Me, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

23. నేను అపవిత్రత నొందినదానను కాను, బయలు దేవతల ననుసరించి పోవుదానను కాను అని నీవు ఎట్లనుకొందువు? లోయలో నీ మార్గమును చూడుము, నీవు చేసినదాని తెలిసికొనుము, నీవు త్రోవలలో ఇటు అటు తిరుగులాడు వడిగల ఒంటెవు,

23. How sayest thou, 'I have not been defiled, After the Baalim I have not gone?' See thy way in a valley, know what thou hast done, A swift dromedary winding her ways,

24. అరణ్యమునకు అల వాటు పడిన అడవి గాడిదవు, అది దాని కామాతురతవలన గాలి పీల్చును, కలిసికొనునప్పుడు దాని త్రిప్పగల వాడెవడు? దాని వెదకు గాడిదలలో ఏదియు అలసి యుండదు, దాని మాసములో అది కనబడును.

24. A wild ass accustomed to a wilderness, In the desire of her soul she hath swallowed up wind, Her meeting -- who doth turn her back? None seeking her do weary themselves, In her month they find her.

25. జాగ్రత్త పడి నీ పాదములకు చెప్పులు తొడుగుకొనుము, నీ గొంతుక దప్పిగొన కుండునట్లు జాగ్రత్తపడుము అని నేను చెప్పినను నీవుఆ మాట వ్యర్థము, వినను, అన్యులను మోహించితిని, వారి వెంబడి పోదునని చెప్పుచున్నావు.

25. Withhold thy foot from being unshod, And thy throat from thirst, And thou sayest, 'It is incurable, No, for I have loved strangers, and after them I go.'

26. దొరికిన దొంగ సిగ్గుపడునట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలుకుటుంబము వారు సిగ్గుపడుదురునీవు మా తండ్రివని మ్రానుతోనునీవే నన్ను పుట్టించితివని రాతితోను చెప్పుచు, వారును వారి రాజులును వారి అధిపతులును వారి యాజకులును వారి ప్రవక్తలును అవమానము నొందుదురు.

26. As the shame of a thief when he is found, So put to shame have been the house of Israel, They, their kings, their heads, And their priests, and their prophets,

27. వారు నా తట్టు ముఖము త్రిప్పుకొనక వీపునే త్రిప్పుకొనిరి; అయినను ఆపత్కాలములోలేచి మమ్మును రక్షింపుమని వారు మనవి చేయుదురు.

27. Saying to wood, 'My father [art] thou!' And to a stone, 'Thou hast brought me forth,' For they turned unto me the back and not the face, And in the time of their vexation, They say, 'Arise Thou, and save us.'

28. నీకు నీవు చేసికొనిన దేవతలు ఎక్కడ నున్నవి? అవి నీ ఆపత్కాలములో లేచి నిన్ను రక్షించు నేమో; యూదా, నీ పట్టణములెన్నో నీ దేవతలన్నియే గదా.

28. And where [are] thy gods, that thou hast made to thyself? Let them arise, if they may save thee, In the time of thy vexation, For -- the number of thy cities have been thy gods, O Judah,

29. మీరందరు నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసినవారు, నాతో ఎందుకు వాదించుదురని యెహోవా అడుగుచున్నాడు.

29. Why do ye strive with Me? All of you have transgressed against Me, An affirmation of Jehovah.

30. నేను మీ పిల్లలను హతముచేయుట వ్యర్థమే; వారు శిక్షకు లోబడరు; నాశనవాంఛగల సింహమువలె మీ ఖడ్గము మీ ప్రవక్తలను సంహరించు చున్నది.

30. In vain I have smitten your sons, Instruction they have not accepted, Devoured hath your sword your prophets, As a destroying lion.

31. ఈ తరమువార లారా, యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాట లక్ష్యపెట్టుడినేను ఇశ్రాయేలునకు అరణ్యము వలెనైతినా? గాఢాంధకార దేశమువలెనైతినా? మేము స్వేచ్ఛగా తిరుగులాడువార మైతివిు; ఇకను నీయొద్దకు రామని నా ప్రజలేల చెప్పు చున్నారు?

31. O generation, see ye the word of Jehovah: A wilderness have I been to Israel? A land of thick darkness? Wherefore have My people said, 'We mourned, We come not in again unto Thee.'

32. కన్యక తన ఆభరణములను మరచునా? పెండ్లికుమారి తన ఒడ్డాణమును మరచునా? నా ప్రజలు లెక్కలేనన్ని దినములు నన్ను మరచియున్నారు.

32. Doth a virgin forget her ornaments? A bride her bands? And My people have forgotten Me days without number.

33. కామము తీర్చుకొనుటకై నీవెంతో ఉపాయముగా నటించుచున్నావు; అందువలన నీ కార్యములు చేయుటకు చెడుస్త్రీలకు నేర్పితివి గదా.

33. What -- dost thou make pleasing thy ways to seek love? Therefore even the wicked thou hast taught thy ways.

34. మరియు నిర్ధోషులైన దీనుల ప్రాణరక్తము నీ బట్ట చెంగులమీద కనబడుచున్నది; కన్నములలోనే కాదు గాని నీ బట్టలన్నిటిమీదను కనబడు చున్నది.

34. Also in thy skirts hath been found the blood of innocent needy souls, Not by digging have I found them, but upon all these.

35. అయినను నీవునేను నిర్దోషిని, నిశ్చయముగా ఆయన కోపము నామీదనుండి తొలగిపోయెనని చెప్పు కొనుచున్నావు. ఇదిగోపాపము చేయలేదని నీవు చెప్పిన దానిబట్టి నీతో నాకు వ్యాజ్యెము కలిగినది.

35. And thou sayest, 'Because I have been innocent, Surely turned back hath His anger from me?' Lo, I have been judged with thee, Because of thy saying, 'I have not sinned.'

36. నీ మార్గము మార్చు కొనుటకు నీవేల ఇటు అటు తిరుగులాడుచున్నావు? నీవు అష్షూరును ఆధారము చేసికొని సిగ్గుపడినట్లు ఐగుప్తును ఆధారము చేసికొని సిగ్గుపడెదవు.

36. What? thou art very vile to repeat thy way, Even of Egypt thou art ashamed, As thou hast been ashamed of Asshur,

37. చేతులు నెత్తిని బెట్టుకొని ఆ జనమునొద్దనుండి బయలు వెళ్లెదవు; యెహోవా నీ ఆశ్రయములను నిరాకరించుచున్నాడు. వాటివలన నీకు క్షేమము కలుగదు.

37. Also from this thou goest out, And thy hands on thy head, For Jehovah hath kicked at thy confidences, And thou dost not give prosperity to them!
