1. యోషీయా కుమారుడును యూదారాజునగు యెహోయాకీము ఏలుబడి ఆరంభములో యెహోవా యొద్దనుండి వాక్కు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

1. In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this worde from the Lord, saying,

2. యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చునదేమనగా, నీవు యెహోవా మందిరావరణములో నిలిచి, నేను నీ కాజ్ఞాపించు మాటలన్నిటిని యెహోవా మందిరములో ఆరాధించుటకై వచ్చు యూదా పట్టణస్థులందరికి ప్రకటింపుము; వాటిలో ఒక మాటైనను చెప్పక విడవకూడదు.

2. Thus saith the Lord, Sande in the court of the Lordes House, and speake vnto all the cities of Iudah, which come to worshippe in the Lords House, all the wordes that I commaund thee to speake vnto them: keepe not a worde backe,

3. వారి దుర్మార్గమును బట్టి వారికి చేయదలచిన కీడును చేయక నేను సంతాపపడునట్లుగా వారు ఆలకించి తన దుర్మార్గము విడుచుదురేమో.

3. If so be they will hearken, and turne euery man from his euill way, that I may repent me of the plague, which I haue determined to bring vpon them, because of the wickednesse of their workes.

4. నీవు వారితో ఈ మాట చెప్పవలెను. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

4. And thou shalt say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, If ye will not heare me to walke in my Lawes, which I haue set before you,

5. మీరు నా మాటలు విని నేను మీకు నియమించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రము ననుసరించి నడుచు కొనుడనియు, నేను పెందలకడ లేచి పంపుచున్న నా సేవకులగు ప్రవక్తల మాటలను అంగీకరించుడనియు నేను మీకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా మీరు వినకపోతిరి.

5. And to heare ye wordes of my seruants the Prophets, whome I sent vnto you, both rising vp earely, and sending them, and will not obey them,

6. మీరీలాగున చేసినందున నేను షిలోహునకు చేసినట్లు ఈ మందిరమున కును చేసెదను, ఈ పట్టణమును భూమిమీదనున్న సమస్త జనములకు శాపాస్పదముగా చేసెదను.

6. Then will I make this House like Shiloh, and will make this citie a curse to all the nations of the earth.

7. యిర్మీయా యీ మాటలను యెహోవా మందిరములో పలుకుచుండగా యాజకులును ప్రవక్తలును జనులందరును వినిరి.

7. So the Priestes, and the Prophets, and all the people heard Ieremiah speaking these wordes in the House of the Lord.

8. జనుల కందరికిని ప్రకటింపవలెనని యెహోవా యిర్మీయాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన మాటలన్నిటిని అతడు పలికి చాలించిన తరువాత యాజకులును ప్రవక్తలును జనులందరును అతని పట్టుకొని నీవు మరణశిక్ష నొందక తప్పదు.

8. Nowe when Ieremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speake vnto all the people, then the Priestes, and the prophets, and all the people tooke him, and saide, Thou shalt die the death.

9. యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి ఈ మందిరము షిలోహువలె నగుననియు, ఈ పట్టణము నివాసిలేక పాడైపోవుననియు నీవేల ప్రకటించుచున్నావు అనుచు, ప్రజలందరు యెహోవా మందిరములో యిర్మీయాయొద్దకు కూడివచ్చిరి.

9. Why hast thou prophecied in the Name of the Lord, saying, This House shall be like Shiloh, and this citie shalbe desolate without an inhabitant? and all the people were gathered against Ieremiah in the House of the Lord.

10. యూదా అధిపతులు ఆ సంగతులు విని రాజు నగరులో నుండి యెహోవా మందిరమునకు వచ్చి, యెహోవా మందిరపు క్రొత్త గవిని ద్వారమున కూర్చుండగా

10. And when the princes of Iudah heard of these things, they came vp from the Kings house into the House of the Lord, and sate downe in the entrie of the new gate of the Lords House.

11. యాజకులును ప్రవక్తలును అధిపతులతోను సమస్త ప్రజల తోను ఈలాగనిరి మీరు చెవులార వినియున్న ప్రకారము, ఈ మనుష్యుడు ఈ పట్టణమునకు విరోధముగా ప్రవచించుచున్నాడు; గనుక ఇతడు మరణమునకు పాత్రుడు.

11. Then spake the Priestes, and the prophets vnto the princes, and to all the people, saying, This man is worthie to die: for he hath prophecied against this citie, as ye haue heard with your eares.

12. అప్పుడు యిర్మీయా అధిపతులందరితోను జనులందరితోను ఈ మాట చెప్పెనుఈ మందిరమునకు విరోధముగాను ఈ పట్టణమునకు విరోధముగాను మీరు వినిన మాటలన్నిటిని ప్రకటించుటకు యెహోవాయే నన్ను పంపియున్నాడు.

12. Then spake Ieremiah vnto all the princes, and to al the people, saying, The Lord hath sent me to prophecie against this house and against this citie all the things that ye haue heard.

13. కాబట్టి యెహోవా మీకు చేసెదనని తాను చెప్పిన కీడునుగూర్చి ఆయన సంతాపపడునట్లు మీరు మీ మార్గములను మీ క్రియలను చక్కపరచుకొని మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

13. Therefore nowe amende your wayes and your workes, and heare the voyce of the Lord your God, that the Lord may repent him of the plague, that he hath pronounced against you.

14. ఇదిగో నేను మీ వశములోనున్నాను, మీ దృష్టికేది మంచిదో యేది యుక్తమైనదో అదే నాకు చేయుడి.

14. As for me, beholde, I am in your hands: do with me as ye thinke good and right.

15. అయితే మీకు చెవులార ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని చెప్పుటకు నిజముగా యెహోవా మీయొద్దకు నన్ను పంపియున్నాడు గనుక, మీరు నన్ను చంపినయెడల మీరు మీమీదికిని ఈ పట్టణముమీదికిని దాని నివాసుల మీదికిని నిరపరాధి రక్తదోషము తెప్పించుదురని నిస్సందేహముగా తెలిసికొనుడి.

15. But knowe ye for certaine, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood vpon your selues, and vpon this citie, and vpon the inhabitants thereof: for of a trueth the Lord hath sent me vnto you, to speake all these words in your eares.

16. కాగా అధిపతులును జనులందరును యాజకులతోను ప్రవక్తలతోను ఇట్లనిరి ఈ మనుష్యుడు మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి మనకు ఈ సమాచారము ప్రకటించుచున్నాడు గనుక ఇతడు మరణమునకు పాత్రుడు కాడు.

16. Then saide the princes and all the people vnto the Priestes, and to the prophets, This man is not worthie to die: for he hath spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord our God.

17. మరియు దేశమందలి పెద్దలలో కొందరు లేచి సమాజముగా కూడిన జనులతో ఈ మాటలు పలికిరి.

17. Then rose vp certaine of the Elders of the lande, and spake to all the assemblie of the people, saying,

18. యూదారాజైన హిజ్కియా దినములలో మోరష్తీయుడైన మీకా ప్రవచించుచుండెను. అతడు యూదా జనులందరితో ఇట్లు ప్రకటించుచు వచ్చెను సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు చేనుదున్నబడునట్లు మిమ్మునుబట్టి సీయోను దున్నబడును, యెరూషలేము రాళ్లకుప్పలగును, మందిరమున్న పర్వతము అరణ్యములోని ఉన్నతస్థలములవలె అగును.

18. Michah the Morashite prophecied in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and spake to al the people of Iudah, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Zion shall be plowed like a fielde, and Ierusalem shalbe an heape, and the mountaine of the House shalbe as the hie places of the forest.

19. అట్లు పలికి నందున యూదారాజైన హిజ్కియాయైనను యూదా జనులందరిలో మరి ఎవడైనను అతని చంపిరా? యెహోవా వారికి చేసెదనని తాను చెప్పిన కీడును చేయక సంతాప పడునట్లు రాజు యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి యెహోవా దయను వేడుకొనెను గదా? మనము ఈ కార్యము చేసినయెడల మనమీదికే గొప్ప కీడు తెచ్చు కొందుము అని చెప్పిరి.

19. Did Hezekiah King of Iudah, and all Iudah put him to death? did he not feare ye Lord, and prayed before the Lord, and the Lord repented him of the plague, that he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great euill against our soules.

20. మరియు కిర్యత్యారీము వాడైన షెమయా కుమారుడగు ఊరియాయను ఒకడు యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి ప్రవచించుచుండెను. అతడు యిర్మీయా చెప్పిన మాటల రీతిని యీ పట్టణమునకు విరోధముగాను ఈ దేశమునకు విరోధముగాను ప్రవచించెను.

20. And there was also a man that prophecied in the Name of the Lord, one Vriiah the sonne of Shemaiah, of Kiriath-iarem, who prophecied against this citie, and against this lande, according to all the wordes of Ieremiah.

21. రాజైన యెహోయాకీమును అతని శూరులందరును ప్రధానులందరును అతని మాటలు వినినమీదట రాజు అతని చంపజూచుచుండగా, ఊరియా దాని తెలిసికొని భయపడి పారిపోయి ఐగుప్తు చేరెను.

21. Nowe when Iehoiakim the King with all his men of power, and all the princes heard his wordes, the King sought to slay him. But when Vriiah heard it, he was afraide and fled, and went into Egypt.

22. అప్పుడు రాజైన యెహోయాకీము అక్బోరు కుమారుడగు ఎల్నాతానును అతనితో కొందరిని ఐగుప్తునకు పంపెను;

22. Then Iehoiakim the King sent men into Egypt, euen Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and certaine with him into Egypt.

23. వారు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి ఊరియాను తీసి కొనివచ్చి రాజైన యెహోయాకీమునొద్ద చేర్చగా, ఇతడు ఖడ్గముతో అతని చంపి సామాన్యజనుల సమాధిలో అతని కళేబరమును వేయించెను.

23. And they fet Vriiah out of Egypt, and brought him vnto Iehoiakim the King, who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead bodie into the graues of the children of the people.

24. ఈలాగు జరుగగా షాఫాను కుమారుడైన అహీకాము యిర్మీయాకు తోడైయున్నందున అతని చంపుటకు వారు జనుల చేతికి అతనిని అప్పగింపలేదు.

24. But the hande of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan was with Ieremiah that they shoulde not giue him into the hande of the people to put him to death.
