1. The Message Jeremiah received from GOD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah. It was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

2. ఆ కాలమున బబులోనురాజు దండు యెరూషలేమునకు ముట్టడి వేయుచుండగా సిద్కియా యిర్మీయాతో చెప్పినదేమనగా యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలోచించుడి, ఈ పట్టణమును బబులోనురాజు చేతికి నేను అప్పగించుచున్నాను, అతడు దాని పట్టుకొనును,

2. At that time the army of the king of Babylon was holding Jerusalem under siege. Jeremiah was shut up in jail in the royal palace.

3. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియా కల్దీయుల చేతిలోనుండి తప్పించుకొనక బబులోనురాజు చేతికి నిశ్చయముగా అప్పగింపబడును, సిద్కియా అతనితో ముఖాముఖిగా మాటలాడును, కన్నులార అతనిచూచును,

3. Zedekiah, king of Judah, had locked him up, complaining, 'How dare you preach, saying, 'GOD says, I'm warning you: I will hand this city over to the king of Babylon and he will take it over.

4. Zedekiah king of Judah will be handed over to the Chaldeans right along with the city. He will be handed over to the king of Babylon and forced to face the music.

5. He'll be hauled off to Babylon where he'll stay until I deal with him. GOD's Decree. Fight against the Babylonians all you want--it won't get you anywhere.''

6. Jeremiah said, 'GOD's Message came to me like this:

7. నీ తండ్రి తోడబుట్టిన షల్లూము కుమారుడగు హనమేలు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చి అనాతోతులోనున్న నా భూమిని కొనుటకు విమోచకుని ధర్మము నీదే, దాని కొనుక్కొనుమని చెప్పును.

7. Prepare yourself! Hanamel, your uncle Shallum's son, is on his way to see you. He is going to say, 'Buy my field in Anathoth. You have the legal right to buy it.'

8. కావున నా తండ్రి తోడబుట్టినవాని కుమారుడైన హన మేలు యెహోవా మాటచొప్పున చెరసాల ప్రాకారములోనున్న నాయొద్దకు వచ్చిబెన్యామీను దేశమందలి అనాతోతులోనున్న నా భూమిని దయచేసి కొనుము, దానికి వారసుడవు నీవే, దాని విమోచనము నీవలననే జరుగవలెను, దాని కొనుక్కొనుమని నాతో అనగా, అది యెహోవా వాక్కు అని నేను తెలిసికొని

8. 'And sure enough, just as GOD had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me while I was in jail and said, 'Buy my field in Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin, for you have the legal right to keep it in the family. Buy it. Take it over.' 'That did it. I knew it was GOD's Message.

9. నా తండ్రి తోడబుట్టినవాని కుమారుడైన హనమేలు పొలమును కొని, పదియేడు తులముల వెండి తూచి ఆతనికిచ్చితిని.

9. 'So I bought the field at Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel. I paid him seventeen silver shekels.

10. నేను క్రయ పత్రము వ్రాసి ముద్రవేసి సాక్షులను పిలిపించి త్రాసుతో ఆ వెండి తూచి

10. I followed all the proper procedures: In the presence of witnesses I wrote out the bill of sale, sealed it, and weighed out the money on the scales.

11. క్రయపత్రమును, అనగా ముద్రగల విడుదల కైకోలును ఒడంబడికను ముద్రలేని విడుదల కైకోలును ఒడంబడికను తీసికొంటిని.

11. Then I took the deed of purchase--the sealed copy that contained the contract and its conditions and also the open copy--

12. అప్పుడు నా తండ్రి తోడబుట్టినవాని కుమారుడైన హనమేలు ఎదుటను, ఆ క్రయపత్రములో చేవ్రాలు చేసిన సాక్షుల యెదుటను, చెరసాల ప్రాకారములో కూర్చున్న యూదు లందరియెదుటను, నేను మహ సేయా కుమారుడగు నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకునకు ఆ క్రయపత్రమును అప్పగించి వారి కన్నుల యెదుట బారూకునకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞాపించి తిని.

12. and gave them to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah. All this took place in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and the witnesses who had signed the deed, as the Jews who were at the jail that day looked on.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

13. 'Then, in front of all of them, I told Baruch,

14. ఈ పత్రములను, అనగా ముద్రగల యీ క్రయపత్రమును ముద్రలేని క్రయపత్రమును, నీవు తీసికొని అవి బహుదినములుండునట్లు మంటికుండలో వాటిని దాచిపెట్టుము.

14. 'These are orders from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel: Take these documents--both the sealed and the open deeds--and put them for safekeeping in a pottery jar.

15. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఇండ్లును పొలములును ద్రాక్షతోటలును ఇంక ఈ దేశములో కొనబడును.

15. For GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel, says, 'Life is going to return to normal. Homes and fields and vineyards are again going to be bought in this country.''

16. నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకుచేతికి ఆ క్రయ పత్రమును నేనప్పగించిన తరువాత యెహోవాకు ఈలాగున ప్రార్థన చేసితిని

16. 'And then, having handed over the legal documents to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to GOD,

17. యెహోవా, ప్రభువా సైన్య ములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా అను పేరు వహించువాడా, శూరుడా, మహాదేవా, నీ యధికబలముచేతను చాచిన బాహువుచేతను భూమ్యాకాశములను సృజించితివి, నీకు అసాధ్యమైనదేదియు లేదు.

17. 'Dear GOD, my Master, you created earth and sky by your great power--by merely stretching out your arm! There is nothing you can't do.

18. నీవు వేవేలమందికి కృపచూపుచు, తండ్రుల దోషమును వారి తరువాత వారి పిల్లల ఒడిలో వేయువాడవు.

18. You're loyal in your steadfast love to thousands upon thousands--but you also make children live with the fallout from their parents' sins. Great and powerful God, named GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies,

19. determined in purpose and relentless in following through, you see everything that men and women do and respond appropriately to the way they live, to the things they do.

20. ''You performed signs and wonders in the country of Egypt and continue to do so right into the present, right here in Israel and everywhere else, too. You've made a reputation for yourself that doesn't diminish.

21. You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders--a powerful deliverance!--by merely stretching out your arm.

22. మీ కిచ్చెదనని వారి పితరులకు ప్రమాణముచేసి, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించు ఈ దేశమును వారి కిచ్చితివి.

22. You gave them this land and solemnly promised to their ancestors a bountiful and fertile land.

23. వారు ప్రవేశించి దాని స్వతంత్రించుకొనిరి గాని నీ మాట వినకపోయిరి, నీ ధర్మశాస్త్రము ననుసరింపకపోయిరి. వారు చేయవలె నని నీవాజ్ఞాపించినవాటిలో దేనిని చేయకపోయిరి గనుక ఈ కీడంతయు వారిమీదికి రప్పించియున్నావు.

23. But when they entered the land and took it over, they didn't listen to you. They didn't do what you commanded. They wouldn't listen to a thing you told them. And so you brought this disaster on them.

24. ముట్టడి దిబ్బలను చూడుము, పట్టణమును పట్టుకొనుటకు అవి దానికి సమీపించుచున్నవి, ఖడ్గము క్షామము తెగులు వచ్చుటవలన దానిమీద యుద్ధముచేయుచుండు కల్దీయుల చేతికి ఈ పట్టణము అప్పగింపబడును; నీవు సెలవిచ్చినది సంభవించెను, నీవే దాని చూచుచున్నావు గదా?

24. ''Oh, look at the siege ramps already set in place to take the city. Killing and starvation and disease are on our doorstep. The Babylonians are attacking! The Word you spoke is coming to pass--it's daily news!

25. యెహోవా ప్రభువాధనమిచ్చి యీ పొలమును కొను క్కొని సాక్షులను పిలుచుకొనుమని నీవే నాతో సెల విచ్చితివి, అయితే ఈ పట్టణము కల్దీయుల చేతికి అప్పగింప బడుచున్నది.

25. And yet you, GOD, the Master, even though it is certain that the city will be turned over to the Babylonians, also told me, Buy the field. Pay for it in cash. And make sure there are witnesses.''

26. అంతట యెహోవావాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

26. Then GOD's Message came again to Jeremiah:

27. నేను యెహోవాను, సర్వశరీ రులకు దేవుడను, నాకు అసాధ్యమైనదేదైన నుండునా?

27. 'Stay alert! I am GOD, the God of everything living. Is there anything I can't do?

28. కావున యెహోవా ఈమాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఇదిగో నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కల్దీయుల చేతికిని బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు చేతికిని అప్పగింపబోవు చున్నాను; అతడు దాని పట్టుకొనగా

28. So listen to GOD's Message: No doubt about it, I'm handing this city over to the Babylonians and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. He'll take it.

29. ఈ పట్టణము మీద యుద్ధముచేయు కల్దీయులు వచ్చి, యీ పట్టణమునకు అగ్ని ముట్టించి, యే మిద్దెలమీద జనులు బయలునకు ధూపార్పణచేసి అన్యదేవతలకు పానార్పణములనర్పించి నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరో ఆ మిద్దెలన్నిటిని కాల్చివేసె దరు.

29. The attacking Chaldeans will break through and burn the city down: All those houses whose roofs were used as altars for offerings to Baal and the worship of who knows how many other gods provoked me.

30. ఏలయనగా ఇశ్రాయేలువారును యూదావారును తమ బాల్యము మొదలుకొని నాయెదుట చెడుతనమే చేయుచు వచ్చుచున్నారు, తమ చేతుల క్రియవలన వారు నాకు కోపమే పుట్టించువారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

30. It isn't as if this were the first time they had provoked me. The people of Israel and Judah have been doing this for a long time--doing what I hate, making me angry by the way they live.' GOD's Decree.

31. నా కోపము రేపుటకు ఇశ్రాయేలువారును యూదా వారును వారి రాజులును వారి ప్రధానులును వారి యాజకులును వారి ప్రవక్తలును యూదా జనులును యెరూషలేము నివాసులును చూపిన దుష్‌ప్రవర్తన అంతటినిబట్టి,

31. 'This city has made me angry from the day they built it, and now I've had my fill. I'm destroying it. I can't stand to look any longer

32. at the wicked lives of the people of Israel and Judah, deliberately making me angry, the whole lot of them--kings and leaders and priests and preachers, in the country and in the city.

33. నేను పెందలకడ లేచి వారికి బోధించినను వారు నా బోధ నంగీకరింపక పోయిరి, వారు నా తట్టు ముఖము త్రిప్పుకొనక వీపునే త్రిప్పుకొనిరి.

33. They've turned their backs on me--won't even look me in the face!--even though I took great pains to teach them how to live. They refused to listen, refused to be taught.

34. మరియు నా పేరు పెట్టబడిన మందిరమును అపవిత్రపరచుటకు దానిలో హేయమైనవాటిని పెట్టిరి.

34. Why, they even set up obscene god and goddess statues in the Temple built in my honor--an outrageous desecration!

35. And then they went out and built shrines to the god Baal in the valley of Hinnom, where they burned their children in sacrifice to the god Molech--I can hardly conceive of such evil!--turning the whole country into one huge act of sin.

36. కావున ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఈ పట్టణ మునుగూర్చి యీ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు అది ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామముచేతను తెగులుచేతను పీడింపబడినదై బబులోనురాజు చేతికి అప్పగింపబడునని మీరీ పట్టణమును గూర్చి చెప్పుచున్నారు గదా.

36. 'But there is also this Message from me, the GOD of Israel, to this city of which you have said, 'In killing and starvation and disease this city will be delivered up to the king of Babylon':

37. ఇదిగో నాకు కలిగిన కోపోద్రేకముచేతను మహా రౌద్రముచేతను నేను వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టిన దేశములన్నిటిలోనుండి వారిని సమకూర్చి యీ స్థలమునకు తిరిగి రప్పించి వారిని నిర్భయముగా నివసింపజేసెదను.

37. ''Watch for this! I will collect them from all the countries to which I will have driven them in my anger and rage and indignation. Yes, I'll bring them all back to this place and let them live here in peace.

38. వారు నాకు ప్రజలైయుందురు నేను వారికి దేవుడనై యుందును.

38. They will be my people, I will be their God.

39. I'll make them of one mind and heart, always honoring me, so that they can live good and whole lives, they and their children after them.

40. What's more, I'll make a covenant with them that will last forever, a covenant to stick with them no matter what, and work for their good. I'll fill their hearts with a deep respect for me so they'll not even think of turning away from me.

41. ''Oh how I'll rejoice in them! Oh how I'll delight in doing good things for them! Heart and soul, I'll plant them in this country and keep them here!'

42. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడునేెెను ఈ ప్రజలమీదికి ఇంత గొప్ప కీడు రప్పించిన రీతినే నేను వారినిగూర్చి చెప్పిన మేలంత టిని వారిమీదికి రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను.

42. 'Yes, this is GOD's Message: 'I will certainly bring this huge catastrophe on this people, but I will also usher in a wonderful life of prosperity. I promise.

43. ఇది పాడై పోయెను, దానిలో నరులు లేరు, పశువులు లేవు, ఇది కల్దీయులచేతికి ఇయ్యబడియున్నదని మీరు చెప్పుచున్న ఈ దేశమున పొలములు విక్రయింపబడును.

43. Fields are going to be bought here again, yes, in this very country that you assume is going to end up desolate--gone to the dogs, unlivable, wrecked by the Babylonians.

44. నేను వారిలో చెరపోయినవారిని రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను గనుక బెన్యామీను దేశములోను యెరూషలేము ప్రాంతములలోను యూదా పట్టణములలోను మన్యములోని పట్టణములలోను దక్షిణదేశపు పట్టణములలోను మనుష్యులు క్రయమిచ్చి పొలములు కొందురు, క్రయపత్రములు వ్రాయించుకొందురు, ముద్రవేయుదురు, సాక్షులను పెట్టుదురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

44. Yes, people will buy farms again, and legally, with deeds of purchase, sealed documents, proper witnesses--and right here in the territory of Benjamin, and in the area around Jerusalem, around the villages of Judah and the hill country, the Shephelah and the Negev. I will restore everything that was lost.' GOD's Decree.'
