1. యోషీయా కుమారుడును యూదారాజునైన యెహోయాకీము దినములలో యెహోవా యొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు వాక్కు ప్రత్యక్షమై

1. The word which came unto Jeremiah from Yahweh, in the days of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah saying:

2. నీవు రేకాబీయుల యొద్దకు పోయి వారితో మాటలాడి, యెహోవా మందిరములోని గదులలో ఒకదానిలోనికి వారిని తోడుకొని వచ్చి, త్రాగుటకు వారికి ద్రాక్షారసమిమ్మని సెలవియ్యగా

2. Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak with them, and bring them into the house of Yahweh, into one of the chambers, and give them, wine, to drink.

3. నేను, యిర్మీయా కుమారుడును యజన్యా మనుమడునైన హబజ్జిన్యాను అతని సహోదరులను అతని కుమారులనందరిని, అనగా రేకాబీయుల కుటుంబికులనందరిని, తోడుకొని వచ్చితిని.

3. So I took Jaazaniah, son of Jeremiah son of Habazziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and all the house of the Rechabites;

4. యెహోవా మందిరములో దైవజనుడగు యిగ్దల్యా కుమారుడైన హానాను కుమారుల గదిలోనికి వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చితిని. అది రాజుల గదికి సమీపమున ద్వారపాలకుడును షల్లూము కుమారుడునైన మయశేయా గదికి పైగా ఉండెను.

4. and brought them into the house of Yahweh, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was beside the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah son of Shallum keeper of the porch;

5. నేను రేకాబీయుల యెదుట ద్రాక్షారసముతో నిండిన పాత్రలను గిన్నెలను పెట్టిద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుడని వారితో చెప్పగా

5. and I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups, and said unto them Drink ye wine.

6. వారుమా పితరుడగు రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనా దాబుమీరైనను మీ సంతతివారైనను ఎప్పుడును ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగకూడదని మాకాజ్ఞాపించెను గనుక మేము ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగము.

6. Then said they, We will not drink wine, for Jonadab son of Rechab, our father, laid command upon us, saying, Ye shall not drink wine, ye, nor your sons, unto times age-abiding;

7. మరియు మీరు ఇల్లు కట్టు కొనవద్దు, విత్తనములు విత్తవద్దు, ద్రాక్షతోట నాటవద్దు, అది మీకుండనేకూడదు; మీరు పరవాసముచేయు దేశములో దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతులగునట్లు మీ దినములన్నియు గుడారములలోనే మీరు నివసింపవలెనని అతడు మాకాజ్ఞాపించెను.

7. nor house, shall ye build nor, seed, shall ye sow, nor vineyard, shall ye plant, neither shall ye have them, but in tents, shall ye dwell, all your days, that ye may live many days on the face of the soil where ye are sojourning.

8. కావున మా పితరుడైన రేకాబు కుమారుడగు యెహోనాదాబు మాకాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్త విషయములలో అతని మాటనుబట్టి మేముగాని మా భార్యలుగాని మా కుమారులుగాని మా కుమార్తెలుగాని ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుటలేదు.

8. So we have hearkened unto the voice of Jonadab, son of Rechab, our father, in all that be commanded us, not to drink wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons nor our daughters;

9. మా తండ్రియైన యెహోనాదాబు మాకాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమునుబట్టి మేము విధేయులమగు నట్లుగా కాపురమునకు ఇండ్లు కట్టుకొనుటలేదు, ద్రాక్షా వనములుగాని పొలములుగాని సంపాదించుటలేదు, విత్తనమైనను చల్లుటలేదు

9. and not to bud houses for us to dwell in, and so, vineyard or field or seed, have we none;

10. గుడారములలోనే నివసించు చున్నాము.

10. but we have dwelt in tents, and have hearkened and done, according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.

11. అయితే బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు ఈ దేశములో ప్రవేశింపగా కల్దీయుల దండునకును సిరియనుల దండునకును భయపడి, మనము యెరూషలేమునకు పోదము రండని మేము చెప్పుకొంటిమి గనుక మేము యెరూషలేములో కాపురమున్నామని చెప్పిరి.

11. And so it came to pass when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Let us even enter, Jerusalem, because of the force of the Chaldeans and because of the force of the Syrians: So have we dwelt in Jerusalem.

12. అంతట యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యిలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

12. Then came the word of Yahweh unto Jeremiah, saying:

13. నీవు వెళ్లి యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును ఈ మాట ప్రకటింపుము యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే. మీరు శిక్షకు లోబడి నా మాటలను ఆలకింపరా? యిదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

13. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Go and say to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive correction by hearkening unto my words? Demandeth Yahweh:

14. ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగవద్దని రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనాదాబు తన కుమారుల కాజ్ఞాపించిన మాటలు స్థిరముగా ఉన్నవి, నేటివరకు తమ పితరుని ఆజ్ఞకు విధేయులై వారు ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగకున్నారు; అయితే నేను పెందలకడ లేచి మీతో బహుశ్రద్ధగా మాటలాడి నను మీరు నా మాట వినకున్నారు.

14. Confirmed are the words of Jonadab son of Rechab which he commanded his sons that they should not drink, wine, and they have not drunk until this day, for they have hearkened unto the command of their father, But, I, have spoken unto you, betimes, speaking, and ye have not hearkened, unto me.

15. మరియు పెందలకడ లేచి ప్రవక్తలైన నా సేవకులనందరిని మీయొద్దకు పంపుచు ప్రతివాడును తన దుర్మార్గతను విడిచి మీ క్రియలను చక్కపరచుకొనినయెడలను, అన్యదేవతలను అనుసరింపకయు వాటిని పూజింపకయు నుండినయెడలను, నేను మీకును మీ పితరులకును ఇచ్చిన దేశములో మీరు నివసింతురని నేను ప్రకటిం చితిని గాని మీరు చెవియొగ్గక నా మాట వినకపోతిరి

15. And I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, betimes, sending, saying, Return I pray you every man from his wicked way, And amend your doings, And do not go after other gods to serve them, So shall ye remain on the soil which I gave to you, and to your fathers, but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened, unto me.

16. రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనా దాబు కుమారులు తమ తండ్రి తమకిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞను నెరవేర్చిరి గాని యీ ప్రజలు నా మాట వినకయున్నారు.

16. Because the sons of Jonadab son of Rechab have, confirmed, the commandment of their father which he commanded them, whereas, this people, have not hearkened unto me,

17. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను వారితో మాటలాడితిని గాని వారు వినకపోయిరి, నేను వారిని పిలిచితిని గాని వారు ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యకపోయిరి గనుక యూదావారి మీదికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులందరి మీదికిని రప్పించెదనని నేను చెప్పిన కీడంతయు వారిమీదికి రప్పించుచున్నాను.

17. Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh, God of hosts, God of Israel, Behold me! bringing in against Judah and against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, all the calamity, which I have spoken concerning them, Because I spake unto them and they did not hearken, And I called to them and they did not answer.

18. మరియు యిర్మీయా రేకాబీయులను చూచి యిట్లనెను ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మీరు మీ తండ్రియైన యెహోనాదాబు ఆజ్ఞకు విధేయులై అతని విధులన్నిటిని గైకొని అతడు మికాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమును అనుసరించుచున్నారు.

18. But to the house of the Rechabites, said Jeremiah: Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Because ye have hearkened unto the commandment of Jonadab your father, and have kept all his commandments, and dune according to all that he commanded you

19. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నా సన్నిధిలో నిలుచుటకు రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనాదాబునకు సంతతివాడు ఎన్నడునుండక మానడు.

19. Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Jonadab son of Rechab shall not want one to stand before me, all the days!
