1. యూదారాజైన యోషీయా కుమారుడగు యెహోయాకీము నాలుగవ సంవత్సరమున యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. And in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this word vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,

2. నీవు పుస్తకపుచుట్ట తీసికొని నేను నీతో మాటలాడిన దినము మొదలుకొని, అనగా యోషీయా కాలము మొదలుకొని నేటివరకు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని గూర్చియు యూదావారిని గూర్చియు సమస్త జనములను గూర్చియు నేను నీతో పలికిన మాటలన్నిటిని దానిలో వ్రాయుము.

2. Take thee a roule or booke, and write therein all the wordes that I haue spoken to thee against Israel, and against Iudah, and against all the nations, from the day that I spake vnto thee, euen from the dayes of Iosiah vnto this day.

3. నేను యూదా వారికి చేయనుద్దేశించు కీడంతటినిగూర్చి వారు విని నేను వారి దోషమును వారి పాపమును క్షమించునట్లు తమ దుర్మార్గతను విడిచి పశ్చాత్తాపపడుదురేమో.

3. It may bee that the House of Iudah will heare of all the euill, which I determined to doe vnto them that they may returne euery man from his euil way, that I may forgiue their iniquitie and their sinnes.

4. యిర్మీయా నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకును పిలువనంపగా అతడు యెహోవా యిర్మీయాతో చెప్పిన మాటలన్నిటిని యిర్మీయా నోటిమాటలనుబట్టి ఆ పుస్తకములో వ్రాసెను.

4. Then Ieremiah called Baruch the sonne of Neriah, and Baruch wrote at the mouth of Ieremiah all the wordes of the Lord, which hee had spoken vnto him, vpon a roule or booke.

5. యిర్మీయా బారూకునకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను నేను యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి రాకుండ నిర్బంధింపబడితిని.

5. And Ieremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut vp, and can not go into the House of the Lord.

6. కాబట్టి నీవు వెళ్లి ఉపవాసదినమున యెహోవా మందిరములో ప్రజలకు వినబడునట్లు నేను చెప్పగా నీవు పుస్తకములో వ్రాసిన యెహోవా మాటలను చదివి వినిపించుము, తమ పట్టణములనుండి వచ్చు యూదా జనులందరికిని వినబడునట్లుగా వాటిని చదివి వినిపింపవలెను.

6. Therefore goe thou, and reade the roule wherein thou hast written at my mouth the words of the Lord in the audience of the people in the Lordes House vpon the fasting day: also thou shalt reade them in the hearing of all Iudah, that come out of their cities.

7. ఒకవేళ వారి విన్నపములు యెహోవా దృష్టికి అనుకూలమగునేమో, ఒక వేళ వారు తమ చెడుమార్గము విడుతురేమో, నిజముగా ఈ ప్రజలమీదికి ఉగ్రతయు మహా కోపమును వచ్చునని యెహోవా ప్రకటించియున్నాడు.

7. It may be that they will pray before the Lord, and euery one returne from his euill way, for great is the anger and the wrath, that the Lord hath declared against this people.

8. ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా తనకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చినట్టు నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకు గ్రంథము చేతపట్టుకొని యెహోవా మాటలన్నిటిని యెహోవా మందిరములో చదివి వినిపించెను.

8. So Baruch the sonne of Neriah did according vnto all, that Ieremiah the Prophet commanded him, reading in the booke the wordes of the Lord in the Lords House.

9. యూదారాజైన యోషీయా కుమారుడగు యెహోయాకీము ఏలుబడియందు అయిదవ సంవత్సరము తొమ్మిదవ నెలను యెరూషలేములోనున్న ప్రజలందరును యూదా పట్టణములలోనుండి యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చిన ప్రజలందరును యెహోవాపేరట ఉపవాసము చాటింపగా

9. And in the fift yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, in the ninth moneth, they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Ierusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Iudah vnto Ierusalem.

10. బారూకు యెహోవా మందిరములో లేఖికుడైన షాఫాను కుమారుడైన గెమర్యా గదికి పైగానున్న శాలలో యెహోవా మందిరపు క్రొత్త ద్వారపు ప్రవేశమున ప్రజలందరు వినునట్లు యిర్మీయా చెప్పిన మాటలను గ్రంథములోనుండి చదివి వినిపించెను.

10. Then read Baruch in the booke the wordes of Ieremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the sonne of Shaphan the secretarie, in the hier court at the entrie of the new gate of the Lordes house, in the hearing of all the people.

11. షాఫాను కుమారుడైన గెమర్యా కుమారుడగు మీకాయా ఆ గ్రంథములోని యెహోవా మాటలన్నిటిని విని

11. When Michaiah the sonne of Gemariah, the sonne of Shaphan had heard out of the booke all the wordes of the Lord,

12. రాజనగరులోనున్న లేఖికుని గదిలోనికి వెళ్లగా ప్రధానులందరును లేఖికుడైన ఎలీషామా షెమాయా కుమారుడైన దెలాయ్యా అక్బోరు కుమారుడైన ఎల్నాతాను షాఫాను కుమారుడైన గెమర్యా హనన్యా కుమారుడైన సిద్కియా అనువారును ప్రధానులందరును అక్కడ కూర్చుండి యుండిరి.

12. Then hee went downe to the Kings house into the Chancellours chamber, and loe, all the princes sate there, euen Elishama the Chancellour, and Delaiah the sonne of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and Gemariah the sonne of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the sonne of Hananiah, and all the princes.

13. బారూకు ప్రజలందరికి వినబడునట్లు ఆ పుస్తకములోనుండి చదివి వినిపించిన మాటలన్నిటిని మీకాయా వారికి తెలియ జెప్పగా

13. Then Michaiah declared vnto them all the wordes that he had heard when Baruch read in the booke in the audience of the people.

14. ప్రధానులందరు కూషీకి ఇనుమనుమడును షెలెమ్యాకు మనుమడును నెతన్యాకు కుమారుడునైన యెహూదిని బారూకు నొద్దకు పంపినీవు ప్రజల వినికిడిలో చదివిన పుస్తకమును చేత పట్టుకొని రమ్మని ఆజ్ఞ నియ్యగా నేరీయా కుమారుడగు బారూకు ఆ గ్రంథమును చేత పట్టుకొని వచ్చెను.

14. Therefore all the princes sent Iehudi the sonne of Nethaniah, the sonne of Shelemiah, the sonne of Chushi, vnto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hande the roule, wherein thou hast read in the audience of the people, and come. So Baruch the sonne of Neriah, tooke the roule in his hand, and came vnto them.

15. అతడు రాగా వారునీవు కూర్చుండి మాకు వినిపింపుమనగా బారూకు దాని చదివి వినిపించెను.

15. And they saide vnto him, Sit downe now, and reade it, that we may heare. So Baruch read it in their audience.

16. వారు ఆ మాటలన్నిటిని విన్నప్పుడు భయపడి యొకరి నొకరు చూచుకొనిమేము నిశ్చయముగా ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని రాజునకు తెలియజెప్పెదమని బారూకుతో ననిరి.

16. Now when they had heard all the wordes, they were afraid both one and other, and said vnto Baruch, We will certifie the King of all these wordes.

17. మరియు ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని అతడు చెప్పుచుండగా నీవు ఎట్లు వ్రాసితివి? అది మాకు తెలియజెప్పుమని వారడుగగా

17. And they examined Baruch, saying, Tell vs nowe, howe diddest thou write all these wordes at his mouth?

18. బారూకు అతడు నోటనుండియే యీ మాటలన్నిటిని పలుకగా నేను పుస్తకములో వాటిని సిరాతో వ్రాసితినని వారితో ఉత్తరమిచ్చెను.

18. Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these wordes vnto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ynke in the booke.

19. నీవును యిర్మీయాయును పోయి దాగియుండుడి, మీరున్నచోటు ఎవరికిని తెలియజేయవద్దని ఆ ప్రధానులు చెప్పి

19. Then saide the princes vnto Baruch, Goe, hide thee, thou and Ieremiah, and let no man knowe where ye be.

20. శాలలో నున్న రాజునొద్దకు తామే వెళ్లి ఆ మాటలన్నిటిని రాజు చెవులలో వినిపించిరి గాని ఆ పుస్తకపుచుట్టను లేఖికుడైన ఎలీషామా గదిలో దాచిపెట్టిరి.

20. And they went in to the King to the court, but they layde vp the roule in the chamber of Elishama the Chancellour and tolde the King all the wordes, that he might heare.

21. ఆ గ్రంథమును తెచ్చుటకు రాజు యెహూదిని పంపగా అతడు లేఖికుడైన ఎలీ షామా గదిలోనుండి దాని తీసికొని వచ్చి రాజు వినికిడి లోను రాజనొద్దకు నిలిచియున్న అధిపతులందరి వినికిడిలోను దాని చదివెను.

21. So the King sent Iehudi to fet the roule, and he tooke it out of Elishama the Chancellours chamber, and Iehudi read it in the audience of the King, and in the audience of all the princes, which stoode beside the King.

22. తొమ్మిదవ మాసమున రాజు శీత కాలపు నగరులో కూర్చుండియుండగా అతని ముందర కుంపటిలో అగ్ని రగులుచుండెను.

22. Nowe the King sate in the winter House, in the ninth moneth, and there was a fire burning before him.

23. యెహూది మూడు నాలుగు పుటలు చదివిన తరువాత రాజు చాకుతో దాని కోసి కుంపటిలో వేయగా ఆ కుంపటిలో నున్న అగ్నిచేత అది బొత్తిగా కాలిపోయెను గాని

23. And when Iehudi had read three, or foure sides, hee cut it with the penknife and cast it into the fire, that was on the hearth vntil all the roule was consumed in the fire, that was on the hearth.

24. రాజైనను ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని వినిన యతని సేవకులలో ఎవరైనను భయపడ లేదు, తమ బట్టలు చింపుకొనలేదు.

24. Yet they were not afraide, nor rent their garmets, neither the King, nor any of his seruants, that heard all these wordes.

25. గ్రంథమును కాల్చవద్దని ఎల్నాతానును దెలాయ్యాయును గెమర్యా యును రాజుతో మనవిచేయగా అతడు వారి విజ్ఞాపనము వినకపోయెను.

25. Neuerthelesse, Elnathan, and Delaiah, and Gemariah had besought the King, that he would not burne ye roule: but he would not heare them.

26. లేఖికుడైన బారూకును ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయాను పట్టుకొనవలెనని రాజవంశస్థుడగు యెరహ్మెయేలునకును అజ్రీయేలు కుమారుడైన శెరాయాకును అబ్దెయేలు కుమారుడైన షెలెమ్యాకును రాజు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను గాని యెహోవా వారిని దాచెను.

26. But the King commanded Ierahmeel the sonne of Hammelech, and Seraiah the sonne of Azriel, and Shelemiah the sonne of Abdiel, to take Baruch the scribe, and Ieremiah the Prophet, but the Lord hid them.

27. యిర్మీయా నోటిమాటనుబట్టి బారూకు వ్రాసిన గ్రంథమును రాజు కాల్చిన తరువాత యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

27. Then the word of the Lord came to Ieremiah (after that the King had burnt the roule and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Ieremiah) saying,

28. నీవు మరియొక గ్రంథము తీసికొని యూదారాజైన యెహో యాకీము కాల్చిన మొదటి గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడిన మాటలన్నిటిని దానిలో వ్రాయుము.

28. Take thee againe another roule and write in it all ye former words that were in the first roule which Iehoiakim the King of Iudah hath burnt,

29. మరియు యూదా రాజైన యెహోయాకీమునుగూర్చి నీవీమాట చెప్పవలెను యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా బబులోనురాజు నిశ్చయముగా వచ్చి యీ దేశమును పాడుచేసి అందులో మనుష్యులైనను జంతువులైనను ఉండకుండ చేయునని ఇందులో నీవేల వ్రాసితివని చెప్పి నీవు ఈ గ్రంథమును కాల్చివేసితివే;

29. And thou shalt say to Iehoiakim King of Iudah, Thus saith the Lord, Thou hast burnt this roule, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, that the King of Babel shall certainly come and destroye this land, and shall take thence both man and beast?

30. అందుచేతను యూదారాజైన యెహోయాకీమునుగూర్చి యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడు దావీదుయొక్క సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనుడగుటకు అతనికి ఎవడును లేకపోవును, అతని శవము పగలు ఎండపాలు రాత్రి మంచుపాలునగును.

30. Therefore thus saith the Lord of Iehoiakim King of Iudah, Hee shall haue none to sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heate, and in the night to the frost.

31. నేను వారి దోషమునుబట్టి అతనిని అతని సంతతిని అతని సేవకు లను శిక్షించుచున్నాను. నేను వారినిగూర్చి చెప్పిన కీడంతయు వారిమీదికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులమీదికిని యూదా జనులమీదికిని రప్పించుచున్నాను; అయినను వారు వినినవారుకారు.

31. And I will visite him and his seede, and his seruants for their iniquitie, and I will bring vpon them, and vpon the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and vpon the men of Iudah all the euil that I haue pronounced against them: but they would not heare.

32. యిర్మీయా యింకొక గ్రంథమును తీసికొని లేఖికుడగు నేరియా కుమారుడైన బారూకు చేతికి అప్పగింపగా అతడు యిర్మీయా నోటిమాటలను బట్టి యూదారాజైన యెహోయాకీము అగ్నిలో కాల్చిన గ్రంథపు మాటలన్నిటిని వ్రాసెను; మరియు ఆ మాటలు గాక అట్టివి అనేకములు అతడు వాటితో కూర్చెను.

32. Then tooke Ieremiah another roule, and gaue it Baruch the scribe the sonne of Neriah, which wrote therein at the mouth of Ieremiah all the wordes of the booke which Iehoiakim King of Iudah had burnt in the fire, and there were added besides them many like wordes.
