1. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవు తిరిగి రానుద్దేశించినయెడల నా యొద్దకే రావలెను, నీవు ఇటు అటు తిరుగుట మాని నీ హేయక్రియలను నా సన్నిధినుండి తొలగించి

1. 'If you, Israel, want to come back,' says the LORD, 'if you want to come back to me you must get those disgusting idols out of my sight and must no longer go astray.

2. సత్యమునుబట్టియు న్యాయమును బట్టియు నీతినిబట్టియు యెహోవా జీవముతోడని ప్రమాణము చేసిన యెడల జనములు ఆయనయందు తమకు ఆశీర్వాదము కలుగుననుకొందురు, ఆయనయందే అతిశయపడుదురు.

2. You must be truthful, honest and upright when you take an oath saying, 'As surely as the LORD lives!' If you do, the nations will pray to be as blessed by him as you are and will make him the object of their boasting.'

3. యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ముళ్లపొదలలో విత్తనములు చల్లక మీ బీడుపొలమును దున్నుడి.

3. Yes, the LORD has this to say to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: 'Like a farmer breaking up hard unplowed ground, you must break your rebellious will and make a new beginning; just as a farmer must clear away thorns lest the seed is wasted, you must get rid of the sin that is ruining your lives.

4. అవిధేయులై యుండుట మానుకొని మీ దుష్టక్రియలను బట్టి యెవడును ఆర్పివేయలేనంతగా నా ఉగ్రత అగ్నివలె కాల్చకుండునట్లు యూదావారలారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవాకు లోబడియుండుడి.

4. Just as ritual circumcision cuts away the foreskin as an external symbol of dedicated covenant commitment, you must genuinely dedicate yourselves to the LORD and get rid of everything that hinders your commitment to me, people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. If you do not, my anger will blaze up like a flaming fire against you that no one will be able to extinguish. That will happen because of the evil you have done.'

5. యూదాలో సమాచారము ప్రకటించుడి, యెరూషలేములో చాటించుడి, దేశములో బూర ఊదుడి, గట్టిగా హెచ్చరిక చేయుడి, ఎట్లనగాప్రాకారముగల పట్టణ ములలోనికి పోవునట్లుగా పోగై రండి.

5. The LORD said, 'Announce this in Judah and proclaim it in Jerusalem: 'Sound the trumpet throughout the land!' Shout out loudly, 'Gather together! Let us flee into the fortified cities!'

6. సీయోను చూచునట్లు ధ్వజము ఎత్తుడి; పారిపోయి తప్పించుకొను టకు ఆలస్యము చేయకుడని చెప్పుడి; యెహోవానగు నేను ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి కీడును రప్పించుచున్నాను, గొప్ప నాశనమును రప్పించుచున్నాను,

6. Raise a signal flag that tells people to go to Zion. Run for safety! Do not delay! For I am about to bring disaster out of the north. It will bring great destruction.

7. పొదలలో నుండి సింహము బయలుదేరియున్నది; జనముల వినాశకుడు బయలుదేరియున్నాడు, నీ దేశమును నాశనము చేయుటకు అతడు ప్రయాణమై తన నివాసమును విడిచి యున్నాడు, నీ పట్టణములు పాడై నిర్జనముగానుండును.

7. Like a lion that has come up from its lair the one who destroys nations has set out from his home base. He is coming out to lay your land waste. Your cities will become ruins and lie uninhabited.

8. ఇందుకై గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొనుడి; రోదనము చేయుడి, కేకలు వేయుడి, యెహోవా కోపాగ్ని మనమీదికి రాకుండ మానిపోలేదు;

8. So put on sackcloth! Mourn and wail, saying, 'The fierce anger of the LORD has not turned away from us!''

9. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. ఆ దినమున రాజును అధిపతులును ఉన్మత్తులగుదురు యాజకులు విభ్రాంతి నొందుదురు, ప్రవక్తలు విస్మయ మొందుదురు.

9. 'When this happens,' says the LORD, 'the king and his officials will lose their courage. The priests will be struck with horror, and the prophets will be speechless in astonishment.'

10. అప్పుడు నేనిట్లంటిని కటకటా, యెహోవా ప్రభువా, ఖడ్గము హత్యచేయుచుండగా నీవుమీకు క్షేమము కలుగునని చెప్పి నిశ్చయముగా ఈ ప్రజలను యెరూషలేమును బహుగా మోసపుచ్చితివి.

10. In response to all this I said, 'Ah, Lord GOD, you have surely allowed the people of Judah and Jerusalem to be deceived by those who say, 'You will be safe!' But in fact a sword is already at our throats.'

11. ఆ కాలమున ఈ జనులకును యెరూషలేమునకును ఈలాగు చెప్పబడును అరణ్యమందు చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీదనుండి వడగాలి నా జనుల కుమార్తెతట్టు విసరుచున్నది; అది తూర్పార పట్టుటకైనను శుద్ధి చేయుటకైనను తగినది కాదు.

11. At that time the people of Judah and Jerusalem will be told, 'A scorching wind will sweep down from the hilltops in the desert on my dear people. It will not be a gentle breeze for winnowing the grain and blowing away the chaff.

12. అంతకంటె మిక్కుటమైన గాలి నామీద కొట్టుచున్నది. ఇప్పుడు వారిమీదికి రావలసిన తీర్పులు సెలవిత్తును అని యెహోవా చెప్పుచున్నాడు.

12. No, a wind too strong for that will come at my bidding. Yes, even now I, myself, am calling down judgment on them.'

13. మేఘములు కమ్మునట్లు ఆయన వచ్చుచున్నాడు, ఆయన రథములు సుడిగాలివలె నున్నవి, ఆయన గుఱ్ఱములు గద్దలకంటె వేగముగలవి, అయ్యో, మనము దోపుడు సొమ్మయితివిు.

13. Look! The enemy is approaching like gathering clouds. The roar of his chariots is like that of a whirlwind. His horses move more swiftly than eagles.' I cry out, 'We are doomed, for we will be destroyed!'

14. యెరూషలేమా, నీవు రక్షింపబడునట్లు నీ హృదయములోనుండి చెడుతనము కడిగివేసికొనుము, ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నీ దుష్టాభి ప్రాయములు నీకు కలిగియుండును?

14. 'Oh people of Jerusalem, purify your hearts from evil so that you may yet be delivered. How long will you continue to harbor up wicked schemes within you?

15. దాను ప్రదేశమున నొకడు ప్రకటన చేయుచున్నాడు, కీడు వచ్చుచున్నదని ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండలయందొకడు చాటించుచున్నాడు,

15. For messengers are coming, heralding disaster, from the city of Dan and from the hills of Ephraim.

16. ముట్టడి వేయువారు దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చి యూదా పట్టణములను పట్టుకొందుమని బిగ్గరగా అరచుచున్నారని యెరూషలేమునుగూర్చి ప్రకటనచేయుడి, జనములకు తెలియజేయుడి.

16. They are saying, 'Announce to the surrounding nations, 'The enemy is coming!' Proclaim this message to Jerusalem: 'Those who besiege cities are coming from a distant land. They are ready to raise the battle cry against the towns in Judah.''

17. ఆమె నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసెను గనుక వారు చేనికాపరులవలె దానిచుట్టు ముట్టడివేతురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

17. They will surround Jerusalem like men guarding a field because they have rebelled against me,' says the LORD.

18. నీ ప్రవర్తనయు నీ క్రియ లును వీటిని నీమీదికి రప్పించెను. నీ చెడుతనమే దీనికి కారణము, ఇది చేదుగానున్నది గదా, నీ హృదయము నంటుచున్నది గదా?

18. 'The way you have lived and the things you have done will bring this on you. This is the punishment you deserve, and it will be painful indeed. The pain will be so bad it will pierce your heart.'

19. నా కడుపు, నా కడుపు, నా అంతరంగములో నా కెంతో వేదనగానున్నది; నా గుండె నరములు, నా గుండె కొట్టుకొనుచున్నది, తాళలేను; నా ప్రాణమా, బాకానాదము వినబడుచున్నది గదా, యుద్ధఘోష నీకు వినబడుచున్నది గదా?

19. I said, 'Oh, the feeling in the pit of my stomach! I writhe in anguish. Oh, the pain in my heart! My heart pounds within me. I cannot keep silent. For I hear the sound of the trumpet; the sound of the battle cry pierces my soul!

20. కీడు వెంట కీడు వచ్చుచున్నది, దేశమంతయు దోచుకొనబడుచున్నది, నా గుడారములును హఠాత్తుగాను నిమిషములో నా డేరా తెరలును దోచు కొనబడియున్నవి.

20. I see one destruction after another taking place, so that the whole land lies in ruins. I see our tents suddenly destroyed, their curtains torn down in a mere instant.

21. నేను ఎన్నాళ్లు ధ్వజమును చూచుచుండవలెను బూరధ్వని నేనెన్నాళ్లు వినుచుండవలెను?

21. How long must I see the enemy's battle flags and hear the military signals of their bugles?'

22. నా జనులు అవివేకులు వారు నన్నెరుగరు, వారుమూఢు లైన పిల్లలు వారికి తెలివిలేదు, కీడుచేయుటకు వారికి తెలియును గాని మేలు చేయుటకు వారికి బుద్ది చాలదు.

22. The LORD answered, 'This will happen because my people are foolish. They do not know me. They are like children who have no sense. They have no understanding. They are skilled at doing evil. They do not know how to do good.'

23. నేను భూమిని చూడగా అది నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; ఆకాశముతట్టు చూడగా అచ్చట వెలుగులేకపోయెను.

23. I looked at the land and saw that it was an empty wasteland. I looked up at the sky, and its light had vanished.

24. పర్వతములను చూడగా అవి కంపించుచున్నవి కొండలన్నియు కదులుచున్నవి.

24. I looked at the mountains and saw that they were shaking. All the hills were swaying back and forth!

25. నేను చూడగా నరుడొకడును లేకపోయెను, ఆకాశపక్షులన్నియు ఎగిరిపోయియుండెను.

25. I looked and saw that there were no more people, and that all the birds in the sky had flown away.

26. నేను చూచుచుండగా ఫలవంతమైన భూమి యెడారి ఆయెను, అందులోని పట్టణములన్నియు యెహోవా కోపాగ్నికి నిలువలేక ఆయన యెదుట నుండకుండ పడగొట్టబడియుండెను.

26. I looked and saw that the fruitful land had become a desert and that all of the cities had been laid in ruins. The LORD had brought this all about because of his blazing anger.

27. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఈదేశమంతయు పాడగును గాని నిశ్శేషముగా దాని నాశనము చేయను.

27. All this will happen because the LORD said, 'The whole land will be desolate; however, I will not completely destroy it.

28. దానినిబట్టి భూమి దుఃఖించుచున్నది, పైన ఆకాశము కారు కమ్మి యున్నది, అయితే నేను దానిని నిర్ణయించినప్పుడు మాట ఇచ్చితిని, నేను పశ్చాత్తాప పడుటలేదు రద్దుచేయుటలేదు.

28. Because of this the land will mourn and the sky above will grow black. For I have made my purpose known and I will not relent or turn back from carrying it out.'

29. రౌతులును విలు కాండ్రును చేయు ధ్వని విని పట్టణస్థులందరు పారిపోవు చున్నారు, తుప్పలలో దూరుచున్నారు, మెట్టలకు ఎక్కుచున్నారు, ప్రతి పట్టణము నిర్జనమాయెను వాటిలొ నివాసులెవరును లేరు,

29. At the sound of the approaching horsemen and archers the people of every town will flee. Some of them will hide in the thickets. Others will climb up among the rocks. All the cities will be deserted. No one will remain in them.

30. దోచుకొన బడినదానా, నీవేమి చేయుదువు? రక్త వర్ణవస్త్రములు కట్టుకొని సువర్ణ భూషణ ములు ధరించి కాటుకచేత నీ కన్నులు పెద్దవిగా చేసి కొనుచున్నావే; నిన్ను నీవు అలంకరించుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే; నీ విటకాండ్రు నిన్ను తృణీకరించుదురు, వారే నీ ప్రాణము తీయ జూచుచున్నారు.

30. And you, Zion, city doomed to destruction, you accomplish nothing by wearing a beautiful dress, decking yourself out in jewels of gold, and putting on eye shadow! You are making yourself beautiful for nothing. Your lovers spurn you. They want to kill you.

31. ప్రసవవేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు, తొలికానుపు కనుచు వేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు సీయోనుకుమార్తె అయ్యో, నాకు శ్రమ, నరహంతకులపాలై నేను మూర్చిల్లుచున్నాను అని యెగరోజుచు చేతులార్చుచు కేకలువేయుట నాకు వినబడుచున్నది.

31. In fact, I hear a cry like that of a woman in labor, a cry of anguish like that of a woman giving birth to her first baby. It is the cry of Daughter Zion gasping for breath, reaching out for help, saying, 'I am done in! My life is ebbing away before these murderers!'
