1. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవు తిరిగి రానుద్దేశించినయెడల నా యొద్దకే రావలెను, నీవు ఇటు అటు తిరుగుట మాని నీ హేయక్రియలను నా సన్నిధినుండి తొలగించి

1. O Israel, if thou wilt turn thee, then turn unto me, sayeth the LORD. And if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, thou shalt not be moved:

2. సత్యమునుబట్టియు న్యాయమును బట్టియు నీతినిబట్టియు యెహోవా జీవముతోడని ప్రమాణము చేసిన యెడల జనములు ఆయనయందు తమకు ఆశీర్వాదము కలుగుననుకొందురు, ఆయనయందే అతిశయపడుదురు.

2. And shalt swear: The LORD liveth: in truth, in equity and righteousness: and all people shall be fortuable and joyful in him.

3. యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ముళ్లపొదలలో విత్తనములు చల్లక మీ బీడుపొలమును దున్నుడి.

3. For thus sayeth the LORD, to all Judah and Jerusalem: plow your land, and sow not among the thorns.

4. అవిధేయులై యుండుట మానుకొని మీ దుష్టక్రియలను బట్టి యెవడును ఆర్పివేయలేనంతగా నా ఉగ్రత అగ్నివలె కాల్చకుండునట్లు యూదావారలారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవాకు లోబడియుండుడి.

4. Be circumcised in the LORD, and cut away the foreskins of your heart, all ye of Judah, and all the indwellers of Jerusalem: that my indignation break not out like fire and kindle, so that no man may quench it, because of the wickedness of your imaginations.

5. యూదాలో సమాచారము ప్రకటించుడి, యెరూషలేములో చాటించుడి, దేశములో బూర ఊదుడి, గట్టిగా హెచ్చరిక చేయుడి, ఎట్లనగాప్రాకారముగల పట్టణ ములలోనికి పోవునట్లుగా పోగై రండి.

5. Preach in Judah and Jerusalem, cry out and speak: Blow the trumpets in the land, cry that every man may hear, and say: Gather you together, and we will go into strong cities.

6. సీయోను చూచునట్లు ధ్వజము ఎత్తుడి; పారిపోయి తప్పించుకొను టకు ఆలస్యము చేయకుడని చెప్పుడి; యెహోవానగు నేను ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి కీడును రప్పించుచున్నాను, గొప్ప నాశనమును రప్పించుచున్నాను,

6. Set up the token in Sion, speed you, and make no tarrying: for I will bring a great plague, and a great destruction from the north.

7. పొదలలో నుండి సింహము బయలుదేరియున్నది; జనముల వినాశకుడు బయలుదేరియున్నాడు, నీ దేశమును నాశనము చేయుటకు అతడు ప్రయాణమై తన నివాసమును విడిచి యున్నాడు, నీ పట్టణములు పాడై నిర్జనముగానుండును.

7. For the spoiler of the Gentiles is broken up from his place, as a lion out of his den, that he may make the land waste, and destroy the cities, so that no man may dwell therein.

8. ఇందుకై గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొనుడి; రోదనము చేయుడి, కేకలు వేయుడి, యెహోవా కోపాగ్ని మనమీదికి రాకుండ మానిపోలేదు;

8. Wherefore gird yourselves about with sackcloth, mourn, and weep, for the fearful wrath of the LORD shall not be withdrawn from you.

9. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. ఆ దినమున రాజును అధిపతులును ఉన్మత్తులగుదురు యాజకులు విభ్రాంతి నొందుదురు, ప్రవక్తలు విస్మయ మొందుదురు.

9. At the same time (sayeth the LORD) the heart of the kings and of the princes shall be gone, the priests shall be astonied, and the prophets shall be sore afraid.

10. అప్పుడు నేనిట్లంటిని కటకటా, యెహోవా ప్రభువా, ఖడ్గము హత్యచేయుచుండగా నీవుమీకు క్షేమము కలుగునని చెప్పి నిశ్చయముగా ఈ ప్రజలను యెరూషలేమును బహుగా మోసపుచ్చితివి.

10. Then said I, O Lord GOD,(LORDE God) hast thou then deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying: Ye shall have peace, and now the sword goeth thorow their lives?

11. ఆ కాలమున ఈ జనులకును యెరూషలేమునకును ఈలాగు చెప్పబడును అరణ్యమందు చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీదనుండి వడగాలి నా జనుల కుమార్తెతట్టు విసరుచున్నది; అది తూర్పార పట్టుటకైనను శుద్ధి చేయుటకైనను తగినది కాదు.

11. Then shall it be said to the people and to Jerusalem: there cometh a warm wind from the north thorow the way of my people, but neither to fan, nor to cleanse.

12. అంతకంటె మిక్కుటమైన గాలి నామీద కొట్టుచున్నది. ఇప్పుడు వారిమీదికి రావలసిన తీర్పులు సెలవిత్తును అని యెహోవా చెప్పుచున్నాడు.

12. After that shall there come unto me a strong wind, and then will I also give sentence upon them.

13. మేఘములు కమ్మునట్లు ఆయన వచ్చుచున్నాడు, ఆయన రథములు సుడిగాలివలె నున్నవి, ఆయన గుఱ్ఱములు గద్దలకంటె వేగముగలవి, అయ్యో, మనము దోపుడు సొమ్మయితివిు.

13. For lo, he cometh down like as a cloud, and his chariots are like a stormy wind: his horsemen are swifter than the Aegle. Woe unto us, for we are destroyed.

14. యెరూషలేమా, నీవు రక్షింపబడునట్లు నీ హృదయములోనుండి చెడుతనము కడిగివేసికొనుము, ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నీ దుష్టాభి ప్రాయములు నీకు కలిగియుండును?

14. O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be helped. How long shall thy noisesome thoughts remain with thee?

15. దాను ప్రదేశమున నొకడు ప్రకటన చేయుచున్నాడు, కీడు వచ్చుచున్నదని ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండలయందొకడు చాటించుచున్నాడు,

15. For a voice from Dan and from the hill of Ephraim speaketh out, and telleth of a destruction.

16. ముట్టడి వేయువారు దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చి యూదా పట్టణములను పట్టుకొందుమని బిగ్గరగా అరచుచున్నారని యెరూషలేమునుగూర్చి ప్రకటనచేయుడి, జనములకు తెలియజేయుడి.

16. Behold the Heathen give Jerusalem warning, and preach unto her, that her destroyers are coming from far countries. They tell the cities of Juda the same also,

17. ఆమె నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసెను గనుక వారు చేనికాపరులవలె దానిచుట్టు ముట్టడివేతురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

17. they shall give them warning in every place, like as the watchmen in the field. For they have provoked me to wrath, sayeth the LORD.

18. నీ ప్రవర్తనయు నీ క్రియ లును వీటిని నీమీదికి రప్పించెను. నీ చెడుతనమే దీనికి కారణము, ఇది చేదుగానున్నది గదా, నీ హృదయము నంటుచున్నది గదా?

18. Thy ways and thy thoughts, have brought thee unto this, this is thy own wickedness and disobedience, that hath possessed thine heart:

19. నా కడుపు, నా కడుపు, నా అంతరంగములో నా కెంతో వేదనగానున్నది; నా గుండె నరములు, నా గుండె కొట్టుకొనుచున్నది, తాళలేను; నా ప్రాణమా, బాకానాదము వినబడుచున్నది గదా, యుద్ధఘోష నీకు వినబడుచున్నది గదా?

19. Ah my belly; Ah my belly (shalt thou cry) how is my heart so sore? my heart panteth within me, I can not be still, for I have heard the crying of the trumpets, and peals of war.

20. కీడు వెంట కీడు వచ్చుచున్నది, దేశమంతయు దోచుకొనబడుచున్నది, నా గుడారములును హఠాత్తుగాను నిమిషములో నా డేరా తెరలును దోచు కొనబడియున్నవి.

20. They cry murder upon murder, the whole land shall perish. Immediately my tents were destroyed, and my hangings, in the twinkling of an eye.

21. నేను ఎన్నాళ్లు ధ్వజమును చూచుచుండవలెను బూరధ్వని నేనెన్నాళ్లు వినుచుండవలెను?

21. How long shall I see the tokens of war, and hear the noise of the trumpets.

22. నా జనులు అవివేకులు వారు నన్నెరుగరు, వారుమూఢు లైన పిల్లలు వారికి తెలివిలేదు, కీడుచేయుటకు వారికి తెలియును గాని మేలు చేయుటకు వారికి బుద్ది చాలదు.

22. Nevertheless this shall come upon them because my people is become foolish, and hath utterly no understanding. They are the children of foolishness, and without any discretion. To do evil, they have wit enough: but to do well, they have no wisdom.

23. నేను భూమిని చూడగా అది నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; ఆకాశముతట్టు చూడగా అచ్చట వెలుగులేకపోయెను.

23. I have looked upon the earth, and see, it is waste and void. I looked toward heaven, and it had no shine.

24. పర్వతములను చూడగా అవి కంపించుచున్నవి కొండలన్నియు కదులుచున్నవి.

24. I beheld the mountains, and they tremble, and all the hills were in a fear.

25. నేను చూడగా నరుడొకడును లేకపోయెను, ఆకాశపక్షులన్నియు ఎగిరిపోయియుండెను.

25. I looked about me, and there was nobody, and all the birds of the air were away.

26. నేను చూచుచుండగా ఫలవంతమైన భూమి యెడారి ఆయెను, అందులోని పట్టణములన్నియు యెహోవా కోపాగ్నికి నిలువలేక ఆయన యెదుట నుండకుండ పడగొట్టబడియుండెను.

26. I marked well, and the plowed field was become waste: yea all their cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and indignation of his wrath.

27. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఈదేశమంతయు పాడగును గాని నిశ్శేషముగా దాని నాశనము చేయను.

27. For thus hath the LORD said: The whole land shall be desolate, yet will I not then have done.

28. దానినిబట్టి భూమి దుఃఖించుచున్నది, పైన ఆకాశము కారు కమ్మి యున్నది, అయితే నేను దానిని నిర్ణయించినప్పుడు మాట ఇచ్చితిని, నేను పశ్చాత్తాప పడుటలేదు రద్దుచేయుటలేదు.

28. And therefore let the earth mourn, and let the heaven be sorry above: for the things that I have purposed and taken upon me to do, shall not repent me, and I will not go from it.

29. రౌతులును విలు కాండ్రును చేయు ధ్వని విని పట్టణస్థులందరు పారిపోవు చున్నారు, తుప్పలలో దూరుచున్నారు, మెట్టలకు ఎక్కుచున్నారు, ప్రతి పట్టణము నిర్జనమాయెను వాటిలొ నివాసులెవరును లేరు,

29. The whole land shall flee, for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen: they shall run into dens in to woods, and climb up the stony rocks. All the cities shall be void, and no man dwelling therein.

30. దోచుకొన బడినదానా, నీవేమి చేయుదువు? రక్త వర్ణవస్త్రములు కట్టుకొని సువర్ణ భూషణ ములు ధరించి కాటుకచేత నీ కన్నులు పెద్దవిగా చేసి కొనుచున్నావే; నిన్ను నీవు అలంకరించుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే; నీ విటకాండ్రు నిన్ను తృణీకరించుదురు, వారే నీ ప్రాణము తీయ జూచుచున్నారు.

30. What wilt thou now do, thou being destroyed? For though thou clothest thyself with scarlet, and deckest thee with gold: though thou paintest thy face with colors, yet shalt thou trim thyself in vain. For those that hitherto have been thy great favourers, shall abhor thee, and go about to slay thee.

31. ప్రసవవేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు, తొలికానుపు కనుచు వేదనపడు స్త్రీ కేకలువేయునట్లు సీయోనుకుమార్తె అయ్యో, నాకు శ్రమ, నరహంతకులపాలై నేను మూర్చిల్లుచున్నాను అని యెగరోజుచు చేతులార్చుచు కేకలువేయుట నాకు వినబడుచున్నది.

31. For (me think) I hear a noise, like as it were of a woman travailing, or one labouring of her first child: Even the voice of the daughter Sion, that casteth out her arms, and sorroweth,(swooneth, souneth) saying: Ah woe is me, how sore vexed and faint is my heart, for them that are slain?
