1. అతడు ప్రజలకందరికి ప్రకటింపవలెనని దేవుడైన యెహోవా పంపిన ప్రకారము యిర్మీయా వారి దేవుడగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాటలన్నిటిని వారికి ప్రకటించి చాలింపగా

1. I finished telling the people everything that the LORD their God had sent me to tell them.

2. హోషేయా కుమారుడైన అజర్యాయును కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును గర్విష్ఠులందరును యిర్మీయాతో ఇట్లనిరి నీవు అబద్ధము పలుకుచున్నావు ఐగుప్తులో కాపురముండుటకు మీరు అక్కడికి వెళ్లకూడదని ప్రకటించుటకై మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను పంపలేదు.

2. Then Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah and all the other arrogant men said to me, 'You are lying. The LORD our God did not send you to tell us not to go and live in Egypt.

3. మమ్మును చంపుటకును, బబులోనునకు చెర పట్టుకొని పోవుటకును, కల్దీయులచేతికి మమ్మును అప్పగింప వలెనని నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకు మాకు విరోధముగా రేపుచున్నాడు. (అని చెప్పిరి)

3. Baruch son of Neriah has stirred you up against us, so that the Babylonians will gain power over us and can either kill us or take us away to Babylonia.'

4. కాగా కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును సేనలయధిపతులందరును ప్రజలందురును యూదాదేశములో కాపురముండవలెనన్న యెహోవా మాట వినకపోయిరి.

4. So neither Johanan nor any of the army officers nor any of the people would obey the LORD's command to remain in the land of Judah.

5. మరియు కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును సేనల యధిపతులందరును యెహోవా మాట విననివారై, యూదాదేశములో నివసించుటకు తాము తరిమి వేయబడిన ఆయా ప్రదేశములనుండి తిరిగి వచ్చిన యూదుల శేషమును,

5. Then Johanan and all the army officers took everybody left in Judah away to Egypt, together with all the people who had returned from the nations where they had been scattered:

6. అనగా రాజ దేహసంరక్షకులకధిపతియగు నెబూజరదాను షాఫాను కుమారుడైన అహీకాము కుమారుడగు గెదల్యాకు అప్పగించిన పురుషులను స్త్రీలను పిల్లలను రాజకుమార్తెలను ప్రవక్తయగు యిర్మీయాను నేరీయా కుమారుడగు బారూకును తోడుకొనిపోయి

6. the men, the women, the children, and the king's daughters. They took everyone whom Nebuzaradan the commanding officer had left under the care of Gedaliah, including Baruch and me.

7. ఐగుప్తుదేశములో ప్రవేశించిరి. వారు తహపనేసుకు రాగా

7. They disobeyed the LORD's command and went into Egypt as far as the city of Tahpanhes.

8. యెహోవా వాక్కు తహపనేసులో యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యిలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

8. There the LORD said to me,

9. నీవు పెద్ద రాళ్లను చేత పట్టుకొని, యూదా మనుష్యులు చూచుచుండగా తహపనేసులో నున్న ఫరో నగరు ద్వారముననున్న శిలావరణములోని సున్నములో వాటిని పాతిపెట్టి జనులకీమాట ప్రకటింపుము

9. 'Get some large stones and bury them in the mortar of the pavement in front of the entrance to the government building here in the city, and let some of the Israelites see you do it.

10. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా ఇదిగో నా దాసుడగు బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరును నేను పిలువనంపించి తీసికొనివచ్చి, నేను పాతిపెట్టిన యీ రాళ్లమీద అతని సింహాసనము ఉంచెదను, అతడు రత్నకంబళిని వాటిమీదనే వేయించును.

10. Then tell them that I, the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, am going to bring my servant King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia to this place, and he will put his throne over these stones that you buried, and will spread the royal tent over them.

11. అతడువచ్చి తెగులునకు నిర్ణయమైన వారిని తెగులునకును, చెరకు నిర్ణయమైనవారిని చెరకును, ఖడ్గమునకు నిర్ణయమైనవారిని ఖడ్గమునకును అప్పగించుచు ఐగుప్తీయులను హతముచేయును.

11. Nebuchadnezzar will come and defeat Egypt. Those people who are doomed to die of disease will die of disease, those doomed to be taken away as prisoners will be taken away as prisoners, and those doomed to be killed in war will be killed in war.

12. ఐగుప్తు దేవతల గుళ్లలో నేను అగ్ని రాజ బెట్టుచున్నాను, వాటిని నెబుకద్రెజరు కాల్చి వేయును, ఆ దేవతలను చెరగొనిపోవును, గొఱ్ఱెలకాపరి తన వస్త్రమును చుట్టుకొనునట్లు అతడు ఐగుప్తుదేశమును తనకు చుట్టుకొని నిరాటంకముగా అక్కడనుండి సాగి పోవును.

12. I will set fire to the temples of Egypt's gods, and the king of Babylonia will either burn their gods or carry them off. As shepherds pick their clothes clean of lice, so the king of Babylonia will pick the land of Egypt clean and then leave victorious.

13. అతడు ఐగుప్తులోనున్న సూర్యదేవతాపట్టణము లోని సూర్యప్రతిమలను విరుగగొట్టి ఐగుప్తు దేవతల గుళ్లను అగ్నిచేత కాల్చివేయును.

13. He will destroy the sacred stone monuments at Heliopolis in Egypt and will burn down the temples of the Egyptian gods.'
