1. మిగ్దోలులోగాని తహపనేసులోగాని నొపులోగాని పత్రోసులోగాని ఐగుప్తుదేశవాసము చేయుచున్న యూదులనందరినిగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. Jeremiah received a message from the Lord for all the people of Judah living in Egypt. The message was for the people of Judah living in the towns of Migdol, Tahpanhes, Memphis, and southern Egypt. This was the message:

2. నేను యెరూషలేము మీదికిని యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటి మీదికిని రప్పించిన కీడంతయు మీరు చూచుచునే యున్నారు.

2. This is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: You people saw the disasters that I brought on the city of Jerusalem and on all the towns of Judah. The towns are empty piles of stones today.

3. మీరైనను మీ పితరులైనను ఎరుగని అన్యదేవతలను అనుసరించుచు పూజించుచు వాటికి ధూపము వేయుచు వచ్చుటవలన వాటి నివాసులు తాము చేసికొనిన దోషముచేత నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి గనుక నేడు నివాసులులేకుండ అవి పాడుపడి యున్నవి గదా.

3. They were destroyed because the people living in them did evil. They gave sacrifices to other gods, and that made me angry! Your people and your ancestors did not worship those gods in the past.

4. మరియు నేను పెందలకడ లేచి ప్రవక్తలైన నా సేవకులందరిని మీయొద్దకు పంపుచు, నాకసహ్యమైన యీ హేయకార్యమును మీరు చేయకుండుడి అని నేను చెప్పుచువచ్చితిని గాని

4. I sent my servants, the prophets, to those people again and again. They spoke my message and said to the people, 'Don't do this terrible thing. I hate for you to worship idols. '

5. But they didn't listen to the prophets or pay attention to them. They didn't stop doing wicked things. They didn't stop making sacrifices to other gods.

6. కావున నా ఉగ్రతయు నా కోపమును కుమ్మరింపబడి, యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను రగులుకొనెను, గనుక నేడున్నట్లుగా అవి పాడై యెడారి ఆయెను.

6. So I showed my anger against them. I punished the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. My anger made Jerusalem and the towns of Judah the empty piles of stone they are today.

7. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు అజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు ఏమియు శేషములేకుండ స్త్రీ పురుషులును శిశువులును చంటి బిడ్డలును యూదా మధ్య నుండ కుండ నిర్మూలము చేయబడునట్లుగా మీరేల ఈ గొప్ప తప్పిదమును మీకు విరోధముగా చేసికొనుచున్నారు?

7. 'So this is what the Lord God All- Powerful, the God of Israel, says: Why are you hurting yourselves by continuing to worship idols? You are separating the men and women, the children and babies from the family of Judah. And so you leave yourselves without anyone left from the family of Judah.

8. మీకుమీరే సమూలనాశనము తెచ్చుకొనునట్లును, భూమి మీదనున్న జనములన్నిటిలో మీరు దూషణపాలై తిరస్కరింపబడునట్లును, మీరు కాపురముండుటకు పోయిన ఐగుప్తులో అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపార్పణము చేయుదురు. మీరేల యీలాగున చేయుచు మీ చేతిక్రియలచేత నాకు కోపము పుట్టించుచున్నారు?

8. Why do you people want to make me angry by making idols? Now you are living in Egypt. And now you are making me angry by offering sacrifices to the false gods of Egypt. You will destroy yourselves, and it will be your own fault. The people of all the other nations on earth will say bad things about you and make fun of you.

9. వారు యూదాదేశములోను యెరూషలేము వీధుల లోను జరిగించిన క్రియలను అనగా మీ పితరులు చేసిన చెడుతనమును యూదా రాజులు చేసిన చెడుతనమును వారి భార్యలు చేసిన చెడుతనమును, మీమట్టుకు మీరు చేసిన చెడుతనమును మీ భార్యలు చేసిన చెడుతనమును మరచి పోతిరా?

9. Have you forgotten about the wicked things your ancestors did? And have you forgotten about the wicked things the kings and queens of Judah did? Have you forgotten about the wicked things you and your wives did in Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10. నేటివరకు వారు దీనమనస్సు ధరింపకున్నారు, భయము నొందకున్నారు, నేను మీకును మీ పితరులకును నియమించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రము నైనను కట్టడలనైనను అనుసరింపకయే యున్నారు.

10. Even to this day the people of Judah have not made themselves humble. They have not shown any respect for me, and they have not followed my teachings. They have not obeyed the laws I gave you and your ancestors.'

11. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మీకు కీడు చేయునట్లు,

11. 'So this is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: I have decided to make terrible things happen to you. I will destroy the whole family of Judah.

12. అనగా యూదావారినందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయునట్లు, నేను మీకు అభిముఖుడనగుదును; ఐగుప్తు దేశములో కాపురముందుమని అచ్చటికి వెళ్ల నిశ్చయించుకొను యూదాశేషులను నేను తోడుకొని పోవుదును, వారందరు ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనే నశించెదరు; అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి వారందరు కూలుదురు, ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను నశింతురు, ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామము చేతనైనను వారు చత్తురు, శాపాస్పదమును భీతి పుట్టించు వారుగాను దూషణపాలుగాను తిరస్కారము నొందిన వారుగాను ఉందురు.

12. There were a few survivors from Judah. They came here to Egypt. But I will destroy the few survivors from the family of Judah. They will be killed with swords or die from hunger. The people of other nations will point at them and wish evil for them. People will be shocked and frightened by what has happened to them. The name of Judah will become a curse word and an insult.

13. యెరూషలేము నివాసులను నేనే లాగు శిక్షించితినో ఆలాగే ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నివసించు వీరిని ఖడ్గముచేతగాని క్షామముచేతగాని తెగులుచేతగాని శిక్షించెదను.

13. I will punish those who have gone to live in Egypt. I will use swords, hunger, and terrible sicknesses to punish them. I will punish them just as I punished the city of Jerusalem.

14. కావున తాము మరలి వచ్చి యూదాదేశములో కాపురముండవలెనన్న మక్కువచేత ఐగుప్తులో ఆగుటకై అక్కడికి వెళ్లు యూదా వారిలోని శేషము ఎవరును తప్పించుకొనరు, శేషమేమియు ఉండదు, పారి పోవువారు గాక మరి ఎవరును తిరిగిరారు.

14. Not one of the few survivors of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape my punishment. None of them will survive to come back to Judah. They want to come back to Judah and live there. But not one of them will go back to Judah, except a few people who escape.'

15. అప్పుడు తమ భార్యలు అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుదురని యెరిగియున్న పురుషులందరును, అక్కడ నిలిచియున్న స్త్రీలును,

15. There were many people from Judah living in southern Egypt. Many of the women from Judah were meeting together in a large group and making sacrifices to other gods, and their husbands knew what they were doing. Those men said to Jeremiah,

16. మహా సమాజముగా కూడిన వారును ఐగుప్తు దేశమందలి పత్రోసులో కాపురముండు జనులందరును యిర్మీయాకు ఈలాగు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చిరి యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి నీవు మాకు ప్రకటించు ఈ మాటను మేమంగీకరింపము,

16. 'We will not listen to the message from the Lord that you spoke to us.

17. మేము నీతో చెప్పిన సంగతులన్నిటిని నిశ్చయముగా నెరవేర్చ బోవుచున్నాము; మేమును మా పితరులును మా రాజులును మా యధిపతులును యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధుల లోను చేసినట్లే ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయుదుము, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింతుము; ఏలయనగా మేము ఆలాగు చేసినప్పుడు మాకు ఆహారము సమృద్ధిగా దొరికెను, మేము క్షేమముగానే యుంటిమి, యే కీడును మాకు కలుగలేదు.

17. We promised to make sacrifices to the Queen of Heaven, and we will do everything we promised. We will offer sacrifices and pour out drink offerings in worship to her. We did that in the past. Our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did that in the past. All of us did those things in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. When we worshiped the Queen of Heaven, we had plenty of food. We were successful. Nothing bad happened to us.

18. మేము ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయకయు ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింపకయు మానినప్పటినుండి సమస్తము మాకు తక్కువైనది, మేము ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామముచేతను క్షీణించుచున్నాము.

18. But then we stopped making sacrifices to the Queen of Heaven, and we stopped pouring out drink offerings to her. And we have had problems ever since we stopped worshiping her. Our people have been killed by swords and hunger.'

19. మేము ఆకాశ రాణికి ధూపము వేయగాను, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింపగాను, మా పురుషుల సెలవులేకుండ ఆమెకు పిండి వంటలు చేయుచున్నామా? ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు పోయుచున్నామా? అని వారు చెప్పగా

19. Then the women spoke up and said to Jeremiah, 'Our husbands knew what we were doing. We had their permission to make sacrifices to the Queen of Heaven. We had their permission to pour out drink offerings to her. Our husbands also knew that we were making cakes that looked like her.'

20. యిర్మీయా ఆ స్త్రీ పురుషులందరితో, అనగా తనకు అట్లు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చిన ప్రజలందరితో ఇట్లనెను

20. Then Jeremiah spoke to all the men and women who had just said those things.

21. యూదాపట్టణముల లోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను మీరును మీ పితరులును మీ రాజులును మీ యధిపతులును దేశప్రజలును ధూపము వేసిన సంగతి యెహోవా జ్ఞాపకముచేసికొనలేదా? అదే గదా ఆయన మనస్సునకు వచ్చెను.

21. He said to them, 'The Lord remembered that you made sacrifices in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. You and your ancestors, your kings, your officials, and the people of the land did that. He remembered what you had done and thought about it.

22. యెహోవా మీ దుష్టక్రియలను చూచి మీరు చేయు హేయకృత్యములను ఎంచి యికను సహింపలేకపోయెను గనుక నేడున్నట్లుగా మీ దేశము పాడుగాను ఎడారిగాను శాపాస్పదముగాను నిర్జనము గాను ఆయన చేసెను.

22. The Lord hated the terrible things you did, and he could not be patient with you any longer. So he made your country an empty desert. No one lives there now. Other people say bad things about that country.

23. యెహోవా మాట వినక, ఆయన ధర్మశాస్త్రమునుబట్టియు కట్టడలనుబట్టియు ఆయన తనకు సాక్ష్యార్థముగా ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టియు నడువక, మీరు ధూపమువేయుచు యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపము చేసితిరి గనుకనే నేడున్నట్లుగా ఈ కీడు మీకు సంభవించెను.

23. The reason all those bad things happened to you is because you made sacrifices to other gods. You sinned against the Lord. You didn't obey him or follow his teachings or the laws he gave you. You didn't keep your part of the agreement. '

24. మరియు యిర్మీయా ప్రజలనందరిని స్త్రీలనందరిని చూచి వారితో ఇట్లనెను ఐగుప్తులోనున్న సమస్తమైన యూదులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

24. Then Jeremiah spoke to all the men and women. He said, 'All you people of Judah who are now in Egypt, listen to the message from the Lord:

25. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును, సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయుదు మనియు, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింతుమనియు, మేము మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబళ్లను నిశ్చయముగా నెరవేర్చుదుమనియు మీరును మీ భార్యలును మీ నోటితో పలికి మీ చేతులతో నెరవేర్చుచున్నారే; నిజముగానే మీ మ్రొక్కుబళ్లను మీరు మ్రొక్కుదురు, నిజముగానే మీ మ్రొక్కులను మీరు నెరవేర్తురు.

25. This is what the Lord All- Powerful, the God of the people of Israel, says: You women did what you said you would do. You said, 'We will keep the promises we made. We promised to make sacrifices and pour out drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven.' So go ahead. Do what you promised you would do. Keep your promises.

26. కాబట్టి ఐగుప్తులో నివసించు సమస్తమైన యూదులారా, యెహోవామాటవినుడియెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా ప్రభువగు యెహోవా అను నేను నా జీవముతోడు ప్రమాణము చేయుచు, ఐగుప్తులో నివసించు యూదు లలో ఎవరును ఇకమీదట నా నామము నోట పలకరని నా ఘనమైన నామముతోడు నేను ప్రమాణము చేయు చున్నాను.

26. But, listen to the message from the Lord, all you people of Judah who are living in Egypt: 'I use my great name and make this promise: I promise that none of the people of Judah who are now living in Egypt will ever again use my name to make promises. They will never again say, 'As surely as the Lord lives,

27. మేలు చేయుటకు కాక కీడుచేయుటకే నేను వారిని కనిపెట్టుచున్నాను; వారు ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను క్షీణించిపోవుచు, ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనున్న యూదావారందరు శేషములేకుండ చత్తురు.

27. 'I am watching over the people of Judah, but I am not watching over them to take care of them. I am watching over them to hurt them. The people of Judah who live in Egypt will die from hunger and be killed by swords. They will continue to die until they are finished.

28. ఖడ్గము తప్పించుకొనువారు కొద్దిమందియై ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నుండి యూదాదేశమునకు తిరిగి వచ్చెదరు, అప్పడు ఐగుప్తుదేశములో కాపురముండుటకు వెళ్లిన యూదా వారిలో శేషము ఎవరి మాట నిలకడగా నుండునో, నాదో తమదో అది తెలిసికొందురు.

28. Some people of Judah will escape being killed by the sword. They will come back to Judah from Egypt. But only a few people of Judah will escape. Then the survivors of Judah who came to live in Egypt will know whose word will come true. They will know whether my word or their word came true.

29. మీకు కీడు సంభవించు నట్లుగా నా మాటలు నిశ్చయముగా నిలుచునని మీకు తెలియబడుటకును, నేను ఈ స్థలమందు మిమ్మును శిక్షించు చున్నందుకును ఇది మీకు సూచనగా నుండును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

29. I will give you people proof,' says the Lord, 'that I will punish you here in Egypt. Then you will know for sure that my promises to hurt you will really happen.

30. అతనికి శత్రువై అతని ప్రాణమును తీయ జూచుచుండిన నెబుకద్రెజరను బబులోను రాజుచేతికి నేను యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాను అప్పగించినట్లు ఐగుప్తురాజైన ఫరోహొఫ్రను అతని శత్రువులై అతని ప్రాణమును తీయజూచువారి చేతికి అప్పగించెదను.

30. 'This will be your proof that I will do what I say.' This is what the Lord says: 'Pharaoh Hophra is the king of Egypt. His enemies want to kill him. I will give Pharaoh Hophra to his enemies. Zedekiah was the king of Judah. Nebuchadnezzar was Zedekiah's enemy, and I gave Zedekiah to his enemy. In the same way I will give Pharaoh Hophra to his enemy.''
