1. అన్యజనులనుగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన యెహోవా వాక్కు

1. The following messages were given to Jeremiah the prophet from the LORD concerning foreign nations.

2. ఐగుప్తునుగూర్చిన మాట, అనగా యోషీయా కుమారుడును యూదారాజునైన యెహోయాకీము ఏలుబడియందు నాలుగవ సంవత్సరమున నెబుకద్రెజరు కర్కెమీషులో యూఫ్రటీసునదిదగ్గర ఓడించిన ఫరోనెకో దండును గూర్చిన మాట.

2. This message concerning Egypt was given in the fourth year of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, the king of Judah, on the occasion of the battle of Carchemish when Pharaoh Neco, king of Egypt, and his army were defeated beside the Euphrates River by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.

3. డాలును కేడెమును స్థిరపరచుకొనుడి యుద్ధమునకు రండి

3. 'Prepare your shields, and advance into battle!

4. గుఱ్ఱములను కట్టుడి, రౌతులారా, కవచము తొడిగి ఎక్కుడి శిరస్త్రాణములను ధరించుకొనుడి ఈటెలకు పదును పెట్టుడి కవచములు వేసికొనుడి.

4. Harness the horses, and mount the stallions. Take your positions. Put on your helmets. Sharpen your spears, and prepare your armor.

5. నాకేమి కనబడుచున్నది? వారు ఓడిపోవుచున్నారు వెనుకతీయుచున్నారు వారి బలాఢ్యులు అపజయము నొందుచున్నారు తిరిగిచూడక వేగిరముగా పారిపోవుచున్నారు ఎటుచూచిన భయమే; యెహోవా మాట యిదే.

5. But what do I see? The Egyptian army flees in terror. The bravest of its fighting men run without a backward glance. They are terrorized at every turn,' says the LORD.

6. త్వరగ పరుగెత్తువారు పారిపోజాలకున్నారు బలాఢ్యులు తప్పించుకొనజాలకున్నారు ఉత్తరదిక్కున యూఫ్రటీసు నదీతీరమందు వారు తొట్రిల్లిపడుచున్నారు.

6. 'The swiftest runners cannot flee; the mightiest warriors cannot escape. By the Euphrates River to the north, they stumble and fall.

7. నైలునదీప్రవాహమువలె వచ్చు నితడెవడు? ఇతని జలములు నదులవలె ప్రవహించుచున్నవి

7. 'Who is this, rising like the Nile at floodtime, overflowing all the land?

8. ఐగుప్తీయుల దండు నైలునదివలె ప్రవహించుచున్నది. దాని జలములు తొణకునట్లుగా అది వచ్చుచున్నది. నేనెక్కి భూమిని కప్పెదనుపట్టణమును దాని నివాసులను నాశనము చేసెదను.

8. It is the Egyptian army, overflowing all the land, boasting that it will cover the earth like a flood, destroying cities and their people.

9. గుఱ్ఱములారా, యెగురుడి; రథములారా, రేగుడి బలాఢ్యులారా, బయలుదేరుడి డాళ్లు పట్టుకొను కూషీయులును పూతీయులును విలుకాండ్రైన లూదీయులును బయలుదేరవలెను.

9. Charge, you horses and chariots; attack, you mighty warriors of Egypt! Come, all you allies from Ethiopia, Libya, and Lydia who are skilled with the shield and bow!

10. ఇది ప్రభువును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవాకు పగతీర్చు దినము. ఆయన తన శత్రువులకు ప్రతిదండనచేయును ఖడ్గము కడుపార తినును, అది తనివితీర రక్తము త్రాగును. ఉత్తర దేశములో యూఫ్రటీసునదియొద్ద ప్రభువును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా బలి జరి గింప బోవుచున్నాడు.

10. For this is the day of the Lord, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, a day of vengeance on his enemies. The sword will devour until it is satisfied, yes, until it is drunk with your blood! The Lord, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, will receive a sacrifice today in the north country beside the Euphrates River.

11. ఐగుప్తుకుమారీ, కన్యకా, గిలాదునకు వెళ్లి గుగ్గిలము తెచ్చుకొనుము విస్తారమైన ఔషధములు తెచ్చుకొనుట వ్యర్థమే నీకు చికిత్స కలుగదు

11. 'Go up to Gilead to get medicine, O virgin daughter of Egypt! But your many treatments will bring you no healing.

12. నీకు సిగ్గుకలిగిన సంగతి జనములకు వినబడెను నీ రోదనధ్వని దేశమందంతట వినబడుచున్నది బలాఢ్యులు బలాఢ్యులను తగిలి కూలుచున్నారు ఒకనిమీద ఒకడు పడి అందరు కూలుదురు.

12. The nations have heard of your shame. The earth is filled with your cries of despair. Your mightiest warriors will run into each other and fall down together.'

13. బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు బయలుదేరి వచ్చి ఐగుప్తీయులను హతముచేయుటను గూర్చి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన యెహోవా వాక్కు.

13. Then the LORD gave the prophet Jeremiah this message about King Nebuchadnezzar's plans to attack Egypt.

14. ఐగుప్తులో తెలియజేయుడి మిగ్దోలులో ప్రకటింపుడి నొపులోను తహపనేసులోను ప్రకటనచేయుడి ఏమనగాఖడ్గము నీ చుట్టునున్న ప్రదేశములను మింగివేయుచున్నది మీరు లేచి ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొనుడి.

14. 'Shout it out in Egypt! Publish it in the cities of Migdol, Memphis, and Tahpanhes! Mobilize for battle, for the sword will devour everyone around you.

15. నీలో బలవంతులైన వారేల తుడుపు పెట్టబడు చున్నారు? యెహోవా వారిని తోలివేయుచున్నాడు గనుకనే వారు నిలువకున్నారు.

15. Why have your warriors fallen? They cannot stand, for the LORD has knocked them down.

16. ఆయన అనేకులను తొట్రిల్ల జేయుచున్నాడు వారొకనిమీద ఒకడు కూలుచు లెండి, క్రూరమైన ఖడ్గమును తప్పించుకొందము రండి మన స్వజనులయొద్దకు మన జన్మభూమికి వెళ్లుదము రండి అని వారు చెప్పుకొందురు.

16. They stumble and fall over each other and say among themselves, 'Come, let's go back to our people, to the land of our birth. Let's get away from the sword of the enemy!'

17. ఐగుప్తురాజగు ఫరో యుక్తసమయము పోగొట్టుకొను వాడనియు వట్టిధ్వని మాత్రమేయని వారచ్చట చాటించిరి.

17. There they will say, 'Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, is a loudmouth who missed his opportunity!'

18. పర్వతములలో తాబోరు ఎట్టిదో సముద్రప్రాంతములలో కర్మెలు ఎట్టిదో నా జీవముతోడు అతడు అట్టివాడై వచ్చును రాజును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే.

18. 'As surely as I live,' says the King, whose name is the LORD of Heaven's Armies, 'one is coming against Egypt who is as tall as Mount Tabor, or as Mount Carmel by the sea!

19. ఐగుప్తు నివాసులారా, నొపు పాడైపోవును అది నిర్జనమై కాల్చబడును ప్రయాణమునకు కావలసినవాటిని సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

19. Pack up! Get ready to leave for exile, you citizens of Egypt! The city of Memphis will be destroyed, without a single inhabitant.

20. ఐగుప్తు అందమైన పెయ్య ఉత్తరదిక్కుననుండి జోరీగ వచ్చుచున్నది వచ్చే యున్నది.

20. Egypt is as sleek as a beautiful young cow, but a horsefly from the north is on its way!

21. పరదేశులైన ఆమె కూలి సిఫాయిలు పెంపుడు దూడల వలె ఉన్నారు వారేగదా వెనుకతట్టు తిరిగిరి యొకడును నిలువకుండ పారిపోయిరి వారికి ఆపద్దినము వచ్చియున్నది శిక్షాదినము వారికాసన్నమాయెను.

21. Egypt's mercenaries have become like fattened calves. They, too, will turn and run, for it is a day of great disaster for Egypt, a time of great punishment.

22. శత్రువులు దండెత్తి వచ్చుచున్నారు మ్రానులు నరుకువారివలె గొడ్డండ్లు పట్టుకొని దాని మీదికి వచ్చుచున్నారు ఆలకించుడి ఆమె ధ్వని ప్రాకిపోవు పాము చప్పుడు వలె వినబడుచున్నది యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే

22. Egypt flees, silent as a serpent gliding away. The invading army marches in; they come against her with axes like woodsmen.

23. లెక్కలేనివారై మిడతలకన్న విస్తరింతురు చొర శక్యముకాని ఆమె అరణ్యమును నరికివేయు దురు.

23. They will cut down her people like trees,' says the LORD, 'for they are more numerous than locusts.

24. ఐగుప్తు కూమారి అవమానపరచబడును ఉత్తరదేశస్థులకు ఆమె అప్పగింపబడును

24. Egypt will be humiliated; she will be handed over to people from the north.'

25. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నోలోనుండు ఆమోను దేవతను ఫరోను ఐగుప్తును దాని దేవతలను దాని రాజులను ఫరోను అతని నాశ్రయించువారిని నేను దండించు చున్నాను.

25. The LORD of Heaven's Armies, the God of Israel, says: 'I will punish Amon, the god of Thebes, and all the other gods of Egypt. I will punish its rulers and Pharaoh, too, and all who trust in him.

26. వారి ప్రాణము తీయజూచు బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు చేతికిని అతని సేవకులచేతికిని వారిని అప్పగించుచున్నాను ఆ తరువాత అది మునుపటివలెనే నివాసస్థలమగును ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

26. I will hand them over to those who want them killed-- to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his army. But afterward the land will recover from the ravages of war. I, the LORD, have spoken!

27. నా సేవకుడవైన యాకోబూ, భయపడకుము ఇశ్రాయేలూ, జడియకుము దూరములోనుండి నిన్ను రక్షించుచున్నాను వారున్న చెరలోనుండి నీ సంతతివారిని రక్షించుచున్నాను ఎవరి భయమును లేకుండ యాకోబు తిరిగివచ్చును అతడు నిమ్మళించి నెమ్మదినొందును.

27. 'But do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel. For I will bring you home again from distant lands, and your children will return from their exile. Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet, and no one will terrorize them.

28. నా సేవకుడవైన యాకోబు, నేను నీకు తోడై యున్నాను భయపడకుము నేనెక్కడికి నిన్ను చెదరగొట్టితినో ఆ సమస్త దేశప్రజలను సమూల నాశనము చేసెదను అయితే నిన్ను సమూల నాశనము చేయను నిన్ను శిక్షింపక విడువను గాని న్యాయమునుబట్టి నిన్ను శిక్షించెదను ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

28. Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant, for I am with you,' says the LORD. 'I will completely destroy the nations to which I have exiled you, but I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you, but with justice; I cannot let you go unpunished.'
