1. ఫరో గాజాను కొట్టకమునుపు ఫిలిష్తీయులనుగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన యెహోవా వాక్కు

1. This is the message from the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet about the Philistines. This message came before Pharaoh attacked the city of Gaza.

2. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు జలములు ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి పొర్లి వరదలై మనుష్యులు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టునట్లుగాను దేశనివాసులందరు అంగలార్చునట్లు గాను, దేశముమీదను అందున్న సమస్తముమీదను పట్టణము మీదను దానిలో నివసించు వారిమీదను ప్రవహించును.

2. This is what the Lord says: 'Look, the enemy is gathering in the north like rising waters. They will come like a river spilling over its banks. They will cover the whole country like a flood. They will cover the towns and the people living in them. Everyone living in the country will cry for help. They will all cry out in pain.

3. వారి బలమైన గుఱ్ఱముల డెక్కలు నేలతన్ను శబ్దమునకును, అతని రథముల వేగమునకును, అతని చక్రముల ఉరుము వంటి ధ్వనికిని తండ్రులు భయపడి బలహీనులై తమ పిల్లల తట్టు తిరిగి చూడరు.

3. They will hear the sound of running horses, the noisy chariots, the rumbling wheels. Fathers will not be able to protect their children. They will be too weak to help,

4. ఫిలిష్తీయులనందరిని లయపరచుటకును, తూరు సీదోనులకు సహాయకుడొకడైనను నిలువకుండ అందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయుటకును దినము వచ్చుచున్నది. యెహోవా కఫ్తోరు ద్వీపశేషులైన ఫిలిష్తీయులను నాశనము చేయును,

4. because the time has come to destroy all the Philistines. The time has come to destroy Tyre and Sidon's remaining helpers. The Lord will destroy the Philistines. He will destroy the survivors from the Island of Crete.

5. గాజా బోడియాయెను, మైదానములో శేషించిన ఆష్కెలోను నాశనమాయెను. ఎన్నాళ్లవరకు నిన్ను నీవే గాయపరచుకొందువు?

5. The people from Gaza will be sad and shave their heads. The people from Ashkelon will be silenced. Survivors from the valley, how long will you cut yourselves?

6. యెహోవా ఖడ్గమా, యెంత వరకు విశ్రమింపక యుందువు? నీ వరలోనికి దూరి విశ్రమించి ఊరకుండుము.

6. Sword of the Lord, you have not stopped. How long will you keep fighting? Go back into your scabbard! Stop! Be still!

7. అష్కెలోనుమీదికిని సముద్ర తీరముమీదికిని పొమ్మని యెహోవా నీకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యున్నాడు గదా; నీవేలాగు విశ్రమించుదువు? అచ్చటికే పొమ్మని ఆయన ఖడ్గమునకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చియున్నాడు.

7. But how can the sword of the Lord rest? The Lord gave it a command. He commanded it to attack the city of Ashkelon and the seacoast.'
