1. యెరూషలేము వీధులలో అటు ఇటు పరుగెత్తుచు చూచి తెలిసికొనుడి; దాని రాజవీధులలో విచారణ చేయుడి; న్యాయము జరిగించుచు నమ్మకముగానుండ యత్నించుచున్న ఒకడు మీకు కనబడినయెడల నేను దాని క్షమించుదును.

1. Run about in the streets of Jerusalem and see, and know, and seek in her broad places, if you can find [one], if there is anyone that executes judgment, and seeks faithfulness, and I will pardon them, says the Lord.

2. యెహోవా జీవముతోడు అను మాట పలికినను వారు మోసమునకై ప్రమాణము చేయుదురు.

2. The Lord lives, they say; do they not therefore swear falsely?

3. యెహోవా, యథార్థతమీదనే గదా నీవు దృష్టి యుంచుచున్నావు? నీవు వారిని కొట్టితివి గాని వారికి దుఃఖము కలుగలేదు; వారిని క్షీణింప జేసియున్నావు గాని వారు శిక్షకు లోబడనొల్లకున్నారు. రాతికంటె తమ ముఖములను కఠినముగా చేసికొనియున్నారు, మళ్లుటకు సమ్మతింపరు.

3. O Lord, Your eyes are upon faithfulness. You have scourged them, but they have not grieved; You have consumed them; but they would not receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock; and they would not return.

4. నేనిట్లనుకొంటిని వీరు ఎన్నికలేనివారై యుండి యెహోవా మార్గమును, తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని ఎరుగక బుద్ధిహీనులై యున్నారు.

4. Then I said, It may be they are poor; for they are weak, for they know not the way of the Lord, or the judgment of God.

5. ఘనులైనవారియొద్దకు పోయెదను వారితో మాటలాడెదను, వారు యెహోవా మార్గమును, తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని ఎరిగినవారై యుందురుగదా అని నేననుకొంటిని. అయితే ఒకడును తప్పకుండ వారు కాడిని విరిచినవారుగాను కట్లను తెంపు కొనినవారుగాను ఉన్నారు.

5. I will go to the rich men, and will speak to them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of God. But, behold, with one consent they have broken the yoke, they have burst the bonds.

6. వారు తిరుగుబాటుచేసి బహుగా విశ్వాసఘాతకులైరి గనుక అరణ్యమునుండి వచ్చిన సింహము వారిని చంపును, అడవి తోడేలు వారిని నాశనము చేయును, చిరుతపులి వారి పట్టణములయొద్ద పొంచి యుండును, వాటిలోనుండి బయలుదేరు ప్రతివాడు చీల్చబడును.

6. Therefore has a lion out of the forest smitten them, and a wolf has destroyed them, even to [their] houses, and a leopard has watched against their cities. All that go forth from them shall be hunted, for they have multiplied their ungodliness, they have strengthened themselves in their backslidings.

7. నీ పిల్లలు నన్ను విడిచి దైవము కానివాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయుదురు; నేను వారిని తృప్తిగ పోషించినను వారు వ్యభిచారము చేయుచు వేశ్యల ఇండ్లలో గుంపులు కూడుదురు; నేనెట్లు నిన్ను క్షమించుదును?

7. In what [way] shall I forgive you for these things? Your sons have forsaken Me, and sworn by them that are not gods. And I fed them to the full, and they committed adultery, and lodged in harlots' houses.

8. బాగుగా బలిసిన గుఱ్ఱములవలె ప్రతివాడును ఇటు అటు తిరుగుచు తన పొరుగువాని భార్యవెంబడి సకి లించును

8. They became as wanton horses- each one neighed after his neighbor's wife.

9. అట్టి కార్యములనుబట్టి నేను దండింపకుందునా? అట్టి జనముమీద నా కోపము తీర్చుకొనకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. Shall I not punish them for these things? Says the Lord: and shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10. దాని ప్రాకారము లెక్కి నాశనముచేయుడి, అయినను నిశ్శేషముగా నాశనముచేయకుడి, దాని శాఖలను కొట్టి వేయుడి. అవి యెహోవావి కావు.

10. Go up upon her battlements, and break [them] down; but make not a full end: leave her buttresses; for they are the Lord's.

11. ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశస్థులును యూదా వంశస్థులును బహుగా విశ్వాసఘాతకము చేసియున్నారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

11. For the house of Israel have indeed dealt treacherously against Me, says the Lord: the house of Judah also

12. వారుపలుకువాడు యెహోవా కాడనియు ఆయన లేడనియు, కీడు మనకు రాదనియు, ఖడ్గమునైనను కరవునైనను చూడ మనియు,

12. have lied to their Lord, and they have said, These things are not so; no evils shall come upon us; and we shall not see sword or famine.

13. ప్రవక్తలు గాలి మాటలు పలుకుదురనియు, ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చువాడు వారిలో లేడనియు, తాము చెప్పినట్లు తమకు కలుగుననియు చెప్పుదురు.

13. Our prophets became wind, and the word of the Lord was not in them.

14. కావున సైన్యములకధిపతియు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు వారు ఈ మాటలు పలికినందున నా వాక్యములు వారిని కాల్చునట్లు నీ నోట వాటిని అగ్నిగాను ఈ జనమును కట్టెలుగాను నేను చేసెదను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

14. Therefore thus says the Lord Almighty: Because you have spoken this word, behold, I have made My words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

15. ఇశ్రాయేలు కుటుంబమువారలారా, ఆలకించుడి, దూర ముననుండి మీ మీదికి ఒక జనమును రప్పించెదను, అది బలమైన జనము పురాతనమైన జనము; దాని భాష నీకు రానిది, ఆ జనులు పలుకుమాటలు నీకు బోధపడవు.

15. Behold, I [will] bring upon you a nation from afar, O house of Israel, says the Lord; a nation the sound of whose language you shall not understand.

16. వారి అమ్ముల పొది తెరచిన సమాధి, వారందరు బలా ఢ్యులు,

16. [They are] all mighty men;

17. వారు నీ పంటను నీ ఆహారమును నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ కుమారులను నీ కుమార్తెలను నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ గొఱ్ఱెలను నీ పశువులను నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీ ద్రాక్షచెట్ల ఫలమును నీ అంజూరపుచెట్ల ఫలమును నాశనము చేయుదురు, నీకు ఆశ్రయముగానున్న ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను వారు కత్తిచేత పాడుచేయుదురు.

17. and they shall devour your harvest and your bread, and shall devour your sons, and your daughters. And they shall devour your sheep, and your calves, and devour your vineyards, and your fig trees, and your olive yards. And they shall utterly destroy your strong cities, in which you trusted, with the sword.

18. అయినను ఆ దినములలో నేను మిమ్మును శేషములేకుండ నశింపజేయను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

18. And it shall come to pass in those days, says the Lord your God, that I will not utterly destroy you.

19. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దేనినిబట్టి ఇవన్నియు మాకు చేసెనని వారడుగగా నీవు వారితో ఈలాగనుము మీరు నన్ను విసర్జించి మీ స్వదేశములో అన్యదేవతలను కొలిచి నందుకు, మీదికాని దేశములో మీరు అన్యులను కొలిచెదరు అని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

19. And it shall come to pass, when you shall say, Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us? That you shall say to them, Because you served strange gods in your land, so shall you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

20. యాకోబు వంశస్థులకు ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడి, యూదా వంశస్థులకు ఈ సమాచారము చాటించుడి

20. Proclaim these things to the house of Jacob, and let them be heard in the house of Judah.

21. కన్నులుండియు చూడకయు చెవులుండియు వినకయు నున్న వివేకములేని మూఢులారా, ఈ మాట వినుడి.

21. Hear now these things, O foolish and senseless people; who have eyes, and see not; and have ears, and hear not:

22. సముద్రము దాటలేకుండునట్లును, దాని తరంగము లెంత పొర్లినను అవి ప్రబలలేకయు, ఎంత ఘోషించినను దాని దాటలేకయు ఉండునట్లును నిత్య నిర్ణయముచేత దానికి ఇసుకను సరిహద్దుగా నియమించిన నాకు మీరు భయ పడరా? నా సన్నిధిని వణకరా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

22. Will you not fear Me? Says the Lord; and will you not fear before Me, who has set the sand as a boundary for the sea, [as] a perpetual ordinance, and it shall not pass it. Yes, it shall rage, but not prevail; and its waves shall roar, but not pass over it.

23. ఈ జనులు తిరుగు బాటును ద్రోహమునుచేయు మనస్సుగల వారు, వారు తిరుగుబాటుచేయుచు తొలగి పోవుచున్నారు.

23. But this people have a disobedient and rebellious heart; and they have turned aside and gone back.

24. వారు రండి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా యందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియుందము, ఆయనే తొలకరి వర్షమును కడవరి వర్షమును దాని దాని కాలమున కురిపించు వాడు గదా; నిర్ణయింపబడిన కోతకాలపు వారములను ఆయన మనకు రప్పించునని తమ మనస్సులో అనుకొనరు.

24. And they have not said in their heart, Let us fear now the Lord our God, who gives us the early and latter rain, according to the season of the fulfillment of the ordinance of harvest, and has preserved [it] for us.

25. మీ దోషములు వాటి క్రమమును తప్పించెను, మీకు మేలు కలుగకుండుటకు మీ పాపములే కారణము.

25. Your transgressions have turned away these things, and your sins have removed good things from you.

26. నా జనులలో దుష్టులున్నారు, పక్షుల వేటకాండ్రు పొంచి యుండునట్లు వారు పొంచియుందురు వారు బోనులు పెట్టుదురు, మనుష్యులను పట్టుకొందురు.

26. For among My people were found ungodly men; and they have set snares to destroy men, and have caught [them].

27. పంజరము పిట్టలతో నిండియుండునట్లు వారి యిండ్లు కపటముతో నిండియున్నవి, దానిచేతనే వారు గొప్పవారును ఐశ్వర్య వంతులును అగుదురు.

27. As a snare which has been set is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore have they grown great, and become rich.

28. వారు క్రొవ్వి బలిసియున్నారు, అంతేకాదు అత్యధికమైన దుష్కార్యములు చేయు చున్నారు, తండ్రిలేనివారు గెలువకుండునట్లు వారి వ్యాజ్యెమును అన్యాయముగా తీర్చుదురు, దీనుల వ్యాజ్యెమును తీర్పునకు రానియ్యరు.

28. They have transgressed [the rule of] judgment; they have not judged the cause of the orphan, nor have they judged the cause of the widow.

29. అట్టి వాటిని చూచి నేను శిక్షింపక యుందునా? అట్టి జనులకు నేను ప్రతి దండన చేయకుందునా? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

29. Shall I not punish for these things? Says the Lord: and shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

30. ఘోరమైన భయంకరకార్యము దేశములో జరుగు చున్నది.

30. Shocking and horrible deeds have been done in the land;

31. ప్రవక్తలు అబద్ధప్రవచనములు పలికెదరు, యాజకులు వారి పక్షమున ఏలుబడి చేసెదరు, ఆలాగు జరుగుట నా ప్రజలకు ఇష్టము; దాని ఫలము నొందునప్పుడు మీరేమి చేయుదురు?

31. the prophets utter unrighteous prophecies, and the priests have clapped their hands, and My people have loved it! And what will you do for the future?
