1. మరల యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,

2. తండ్రులు ద్రాక్షకాయలు తినగా పిల్లల పళ్లు పులిసెనని మీరు చెప్పుచు వచ్చెదరే; ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమునుగూర్చి ఈ సామెత మీ రెందుకు పలికెదరు?

2. What mean ye, that ye use this saying concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge?

3. నా జీవముతోడు ఈ సామెత ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో మీరిక పలుకరు; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు.

3. [As] I live, said the Lord GOD, ye shall never again have [reason] to use this saying in Israel.

4. మనుష్యులందరు నా వశములో ఉన్నారు, తండ్రులేమి కుమారులేమి అందరును నా వశములో ఉన్నారు; పాపముచేయువాడెవడో వాడే మరణము నొందును.

4. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die.

5. ఒకడు నీతిపరుడై నీతిన్యాయములను అనుసరించువాడైయుండి

5. But if a man is just and does judgment and righteousness,

6. పర్వతములమీద భోజనము చేయకయు, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహముల తట్టు చూడకయు, తన పొరుగువాని భార్యను చెరపకయు, బహిష్టయైనదానిని కూడకయు,

6. that he does not eat upon the mountains, neither lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither defile his neighbour's wife, neither come near to the menstruous woman,

7. ఎవనినైనను భాదపెట్ట కయు, ఋణస్థునికి అతని తాకట్టును చెల్లించి బలాత్కారముచేత ఎవనికైనను నష్టము కలుగజేయకయునుండువాడై, ఆకలిగల వానికి ఆహారమిచ్చి దిగంబరికి బట్టయిచ్చి

7. neither oppress any, [but] restores to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, gives his bread to the hungry, and covers the naked with a garment,

8. వడ్డికి అప్పియ్యకయు, లాభము చేపట్టకయు, అన్యాయము చేయకయు, నిష్పక్షపాతముగా న్యాయము తీర్చి

8. neither lends at interest, neither takes any increase, withdraws his hand from iniquity, executes true judgment between man and man,

9. యథార్థపరుడై నా కట్టడలను గైకొనుచు నా విధులనను సరించుచుండినయెడల వాడే నిర్దోషియగును, నిజముగా వాడు బ్రదుకును; ఇదే ప్రభువైన యెహోవా వాక్కు.

9. walks in my statutes, and keeps my rights, to do according to the truth: he [is] just; he shall surely live, said the Lord GOD.

10. అయితే ఆ నీతిపరునికి కుమారుడు పుట్టగా వాడు బలాత్కారము చేయువాడై ప్రాణహానికరుడై, చేయరాని క్రియలలో దేనినైనను చేసి

10. If he begets a son [that is] a robber, a shedder of blood, and [that] does the like of [any] one of these [things],

11. చేయవలసిన మంచి క్రియలలో దేనినైనను చేయకయుండినయెడల, అనగా పర్వతములమీద భోజనము చేయుటయు, తన పొరుగువాని భార్యను చెరుపుటయు,

11. and that does not do any of those [duties], but, on the other hand, he does eat upon the mountains, or defiles his neighbour's wife,

12. దీనులను దరిద్రులను భాదపెట్టి బలాత్కారముచేత నష్టము కలుగజేయుటయు, తాకట్టు చెల్లింపకపోవుటయు, విగ్రహముల తట్టు చూచి హేయకృత్యములు జరిగించుటయు,

12. oppresses the poor and needy, commits robbery, does not restore the pledge, or lifts up his eyes to the idols, or makes an abomination,

13. అప్పిచ్చి వడ్డి పుచ్చుకొనుటయు, లాభము చేపట్టుటయు ఈ మొదలగు క్రియలు చేసినయెడల వాడు బ్రదుకునా? బ్రదుకడు, ఈ హేయక్రియలన్ని చేసెను గనుక అవశ్యముగా వానికి మరణశిక్ష విధింపబడును, వాడు తన ప్రాణమునకు తానే ఉత్తరవాది యగును.

13. gives forth upon usury and takes increase, shall he then live? He shall not live; he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

14. అయితే అతనికి కుమారుడు పుట్టగా ఆ కుమారుడు తన తండ్రిచేసిన పాపములన్నిటిని చూచి, ఆలోచించుకొని అట్టి క్రియలు చేయకయుండినయెడల, అనగా

14. But if he begets a son that sees all his father's sins which he has done and seeing them, does not do according to them,

15. పర్వతములమీద భోజనము చేయకయు, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు పెట్టుకొనిన విగ్రహ ములతట్టు చూడకయు, తన పొరుగువాని భార్యను చెరపకయు,

15. [that] he does not eat upon the mountains, neither lifts up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, nor defiles his neighbour's wife,

16. ఎవనినైనను బాధపెట్టకయు, తాకట్టు ఉంచు కొనకయు, బలాత్కారముచేత నష్టపరచకయు, ఆకలి గలవానికి ఆహారమిచ్చి దిగంబరికి బట్టయిచ్చి

16. neither oppresses any, nor withholds the pledge, neither commits robbery, [but] gives his bread to the hungry, and covers the naked with a garment,

17. బీదవాని మీద అన్యాయముగా చెయ్యి వేయక లాభముకొరకు అప్పియ్యకయు, వడ్డి పుచ్చుకొనకయు నుండినవాడై, నా విధుల నాచరించుచు నా కట్టడల ననుసరించుచు నుండిన యెడల అతడు తన తండ్రిచేసిన దోషమునుబట్టి చావడు, అతడు అవశ్యముగా బ్రదుకును.

17. takes off his hand from [oppressing] the poor, does not receive usury nor increase, acts [according to] my rights, and walks in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father; he shall surely live.

18. అతని తండ్రి క్రూరుడై పరులను బాధపెట్టి బలాత్కారముచేత తన సహోదరులను నష్టపరచి తన జనులలో తగని క్రియలు చేసెను గనుక అతడే తన దోషమునుబట్టి మరణము నొందును.

18. [As for] his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did [that] which [is] not good among his people, behold, even he shall die for his iniquity.

19. అయితే మీరు కుమారుడు తన తండ్రి యొక్క దోష శిక్షను ఏల మోయుటలేదని చెప్పుకొను చున్నారు. కుమారుడు నీతిన్యాయముల ననుసరించి నా కట్టడలన్నిటిని అనుసరించి గైకొనెను గనుక అతడు అవశ్యముగా బ్రదుకును.

19. Yet if ye say, Why does not the son bear the iniquity of the father? Because the son has lived according to judgment and righteousness [and] has kept all my statutes and has done them, he shall surely live.

20. పాపము చేయువాడే మరణము నొందును; తండ్రియొక్క దోష శిక్షను కుమారుడు మోయుటలేదని కుమారుని దోష శిక్షను తండ్రిమోయడు, నీతిపరుని నీతి ఆ నీతిపరునికే చెందును, దుష్టుని దుష్టత్వము ఆ దుష్టునికే చెందును.

20. The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him [who is righteous], and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him [who is wicked].

21. అయితే దుష్టుడు తాను చేసిన పాపములన్నిటిని విడిచి, నా కట్టడలన్నిటిని అనుసరించి నీతిని అనుసరించి న్యాయము జరిగించినయెడల అతడు మరణము నొందడు, అవశ్యముగా అతడు బ్రదుకును.

21. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed and keep all my statutes and live according to judgment and righteousness, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

22. అతడు చేసిన అపరాధములలో ఒకటియు జ్ఞాపకములోనికి రాదు, అతని నీతినిబట్టి అతడు బ్రదుకును.

22. All his rebellions that he has committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him; by his righteousness that he has done he shall live.

23. దుష్టులు మరణము నొందుటచేత నా కేమాత్రమైన సంతోషము కలుగునా? వారు తమ ప్రవర్తనను దిద్దుకొని బ్రదుకుటయే నాకు సంతోషము; ఇదే ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

23. Do I desire perchance the death of the wicked? said the Lord GOD, Shall he not live if he should leave his ways?

24. అయితే నీతిపరుడు తన నీతిని విడిచి పాపము చేసి, దుష్టులు చేయు హేయక్రియలన్నిటి ప్రకారము జరిగించినయెడల అతడు బ్రదుకునా? అతడు చేసిన నీతి కార్యములు ఏమాత్రమును జ్ఞాపకములోనికి రావు, అతడు విశ్వాసఘాతకుడై చేసిన పాపమునుబట్టి మరణము నొందును.

24. But if the righteous should leave his righteousness and commit iniquity, [and] do according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] does, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned; by his rebellion in which he has trespassed and by his sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.

25. అయితే యెహోవా మార్గము న్యాయము కాదని మీరు చెప్పుచున్నారు. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నా మాట ఆలకించుడి, నా మార్గము న్యాయమే మీ మార్గమే గదా అన్యాయమైనది?

25. And if ye say, The way of the Lord is not straight. Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not straight? Are not your ways crooked?

26. నీతి పరుడు తన నీతిని విడిచి పాపము చేసినయెడల అతడు దానినిబట్టి మరణము నొందును; తాను పాపము చేయుటనుబట్టియే గదా అతడు మరణమునొందును?

26. When a righteous [man] leaves his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall die in it; for his iniquity that he has done he shall die.

27. మరియు దుష్టుడు తాను చేయుచు వచ్చిన దుష్టత్వమునుండి మరలి నీతి న్యాయములను జరిగించిన యెడల తన ప్రాణము రక్షించుకొనును.

27. Again, when the wicked [man] leaves his wickedness that he has committed and lives according to judgment and righteousness, he shall cause his soul to live.

28. అతడు ఆలోచించుకొని తాను చేయుచువచ్చిన అతిక్రమక్రియ లన్నిటిని చేయక మానెను గనుక అతడు మరణమునొందక అవశ్యముగా బ్రదుకును.

28. Because he saw and left all his rebellions that he has committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

29. అయితే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు యెహోవా మార్గము న్యాయముకాదని చెప్పుచున్నారు. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నా మార్గము న్యాయమేగాని మీ మార్గము న్యాయము కాదు.

29. If even [now] the house of Israel should say, The way of the Lord is not straight. O house of Israel, are not my ways straight? Certainly your ways are not straight.

30. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, యెవని ప్రవర్తననుబట్టి వానికి శిక్ష విధింతును. మనస్సు త్రిప్పుకొని మీ అక్రమములు మీకు శిక్షాకారణములు కాకుండునట్లు వాటినన్నిటిని విడిచిపెట్టుడి.

30. Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each one according to his ways, said the Lord GOD. Repent and turn [yourselves] from all your iniquities, so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

31. మీరు జరిగించిన అక్రమ క్రియలన్నిటిని విడిచి నూతన హృదయమును నూతన బుద్దియు తెచ్చుకొనుడి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, మీరెందుకు మరణము నొందుదురు? ఇదే ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

31. Cast away from you all your iniquities by which ye have rebelled, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

32. మరణమునొందువాడు మరణము నొందుటనుబట్టి నేను సంతోషించువాడను కాను. కావున మీరు మనస్సు త్రిప్పుకొనుడి అప్పుడు మీరు బ్రదుకుదురు; ఇదే ప్రభువగు యెహోవా వాక్కు.

32. For I do not desire the death of him that dies, said the Lord GOD; therefore turn [yourselves], and ye shall live.:
