1. మంచములమీద పరుండి మోసపు క్రియలు యోచించుచు దుష్కార్యములు చేయువారికి శ్రమ; ఆలాగు చేయుట వారి స్వాధీనములో నున్నది గనుక వారు ప్రొద్దు పొడవగానే చేయుదురు.

1. Alas for them who devise iniquity and work wickedness upon their beds, in the light of the morning, they will execute it, for it is in the power of their hand.

2. వారు భూములు ఆశించి పట్టుకొందురు, ఇండ్లు ఆశించి ఆక్రమించు కొందురు, ఒక మనిషిని వాని కుటుంబమును ఇంటివానిని వాని స్వాస్థ్యమును అన్యాయముగా ఆక్రమింతురు.

2. Thus do they covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away, and so they oppress the master and his household, the man and his inheritance.

3. కాబట్టి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా - గొప్ప అపాయ కాలము వచ్చుచున్నది. దాని క్రిందనుండి తమ మెడ లను తప్పించుకొనలేకుండునంతగాను, గర్వముగా నడువ లేకుండునంతగాను ఈ వంశమునకు కీడుచేయ నుద్దేశించు చున్నాను.

3. Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh, Behold me! devising, against this family, a calamity, from which ye shall not remove your neck, neither shall ye walk loftily, for, a time of calamity, shall it be.

4. ఆ దినమున జనులు మిమ్మునుగురించి బహుగా అంగలార్చుచు సామెత నెత్తుదురు. వారు చెప్పు సామెత ఏదనగామనము బొత్తిగా చెడిపోయి యున్నామనియు, ఆయన నా జనుల స్వాస్థ్యమును అన్యుల కిచ్చియున్నా డనియు, మనయొద్ద నుండకుండ ఆయన దానిని తీసివేసెసేయనియు, మన భూములను తిరుగబడినవారికి ఆయన విభ జించియున్నాడనియు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అనుకొను చున్నట్లు జనులు చెప్పుకొందురు.

4. In that day, shall one take up against you a by-word, and lament a lamentable lamentation, saying we are made, utterly desolate, the portion of my people, he passeth to others, How doth he set me aside! To an apostate, our fields, doth he apportion.

5. చీట్లు వేయగా యెహోవా సమాజములో మీరు పాలుపొందునట్లు నూలు వేయువా డొకడును ఉండడు.

5. Therefore, shalt thou have none to throw a measuring-line by lot, in the convocation of Yahweh.

6. మీరు దీని ప్రవచింప వద్దని వారు ప్రకటన చేయుదురు. ప్రవ చింపనియెడల అవమానము కలుగక మానదు.

6. Do not sputter So they sputter! They must not sputter as to these things, Must he not put away reproaches?

7. యాకోబు సంతతివారని పేరు పెట్టబడినవారలారా, యెహోవా దీర్ఘశాంతము తగ్గిపోయెనా? యీ క్రియలు ఆయనచేత జరిగెనా? యథా ర్థముగా ప్రవర్తించువానికి నా మాటలు క్షేమసాధనములు కావా?

7. O thou who art said to be the house of Jacob, Is the spirit of Yahweh, impatient? Or are, these, his doings? Are not, his words, pleasant to him who is upright in his walk?

8. ఇప్పుడేగదా నా జనులు శత్రువులైరి; నిర్భయ ముగా సంచరించువారిని చూచి వారు కట్టు పంచెలను మాత్రము విడిచి వారి పై వస్త్రములను లాగుకొందురు.

8. But, against my people, as an enemy, he setteth himself, from off the robe, they tear away, the cloak, from such as are passing by with confidence, as men averse from war.

9. వారికిష్టమైన యిండ్లలోనుండి నా జనులయొక్క స్త్రీలను మీరు వెళ్లగొట్టుదురు, వారి బిడ్డల యొద్దనుండి నేనిచ్చిన ఘనతను ఎన్నడును లేకుండ మీరు ఎత్తికొని పోవుదురు.

9. The wives of my people, ye do even drive out, each from the house of her darlings, from over her children, ye do take away mine ornament, as long as life shall last.

10. ఈ దేశము మీ విశ్రాంతిస్థలముకాదు; మీరు లేచి వెళ్లి పోవుడి, మీకు నాశనము నిర్మూల నాశనము కలుగునంతగా మీరు అపవిత్రక్రియలు జరిగించితిరి.

10. Arise ye and depart, for, this, is not the place of rest, Because it is defiled, it shall make desolate with a desolation that is ruthless.

11. వ్యర్థమైన మాటలు పలుకుచు, అబద్ధికుడై ద్రాక్షారసమునుబట్టియు మద్యమును బట్టియు నేను మీకు ఉపన్యాసము చేయుదునని అబద్ధము చెప్పుచు ఒకడు వచ్చినయెడల వాడే ఈ జనులకు ప్రవక్త యగును.

11. If there be a man, who goeth after wind, and, falsehood, hath woven, saying I will discourse to thee, concerning wine and strong drink, then shall he become a fountain of discourse unto this people.

12. యాకోబు సంతతీ, తప్పక నేను మిమ్మునందరిని పోగు చేయుదును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో శేషించిన వారిని తప్పక సమకూర్చుదును. బొస్రా గొఱ్ఱెలు కూడునట్లు వారిని సమకూర్చుదును, తమ మేతస్థలములలో వారిని పోగు చేతును, గొప్ప ధ్వని పుట్టునట్లుగా మనుష్యులు విస్తార ముగా కూడుదురు.

12. I will, surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee, I will, surely gather, the remnant of Israel, at once, will I make them like sheep in distress, Like a flock in the midst of its pasture, shall they hum with men,

13. ప్రాకారములు పడగొట్టువాడు వారికి ముందుగాపోవును, వారు గుమ్మమును పడగొట్టి దాని ద్వారా దాటిపోవుదురు, వారి రాజు వారికి ముందుగా నడుచును, యెహోవా వారికి నాయకుడుగా ఉండును.

13. One making a breach, hath gone up, before them, they have broken in, and passed through, and, by the gate, have departed, and their king, hath passed through, before them, with, Yahweh, at their head!
