1. నరహత్య చేసిన పట్టణమా, నీకు శ్రమ; అది ఎడ తెగక యెర పట్టుకొనుచు మోసముతోను బలాత్కారముతోను నిండియున్నది.

1. O city of blood, wholly false, full of unrighteousness; the prey shall not be handled.

2. సారధియొక్క చబుకు ధ్వనియు చక్రములధ్వనియు గుఱ్ఱముల త్రొక్కుడు ధ్వనియు వడిగా పరుగెత్తు రథములధ్వనియు వినబడు చున్నవి.

2. The noise of whips, and the noise of the rumbling of wheels, and of the pursuing horse, and of the bounding chariot,

3. రౌతులు వడిగా పరుగెత్తుచున్నారు, ఖడ్గములు తళతళలాడుచున్నవి, ఈటెలు మెరయుచున్నవి, చాలమంది హతమవుచున్నారు; చచ్చిన వారు కుప్పలు కుప్పలుగా పడియున్నారు; పీనుగులకు లెక్కయే లేదు, పీనుగులు కాలికి తగిలి జనులు తొట్రిల్లుచున్నారు.

3. and of the mounting rider, and of the glittering sword, and of the gleaming arms, and of a multitude of slain, and of heavy falling: and there was no end to her nations, but they shall be weak in their bodies

4. చక్కనిదానవై వేశ్యవై చిల్లంగి తనమందు జ్ఞానముగల దానవై జారత్వముచేసి జనాంగములమీద చిల్లంగితనము జరిగించి సంసారములను అమ్మివే సినదానా,

4. because of the abundance of her fornication: she is a fair harlot, and well-favored, skilled in sorcery, that sells the nations by her fornication, and peoples by her sorceries.

5. నీవు చేసిన అధిక జారత్వమునుబట్టి సైన్యములకు అధిపతియగు యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేనేను నీకు విరోధినైయున్నాను, నీ చెంగులు నీ ముఖముమీది కెత్తి జనములకు నీ మానమును రాజ్యములకు నీ యవమానమును నేను బయలుపరతును.

5. Behold, I am against you, says the Lord God Almighty, and I will uncover your skirts in your presence, and I will show the nations your shame, and the kingdoms your disgrace.

6. పదిమంది యెదుట నీమీద మాలిన్యమువేసి నిన్ను అవమాన పరచెదను.

6. And I will cast abominable filth upon you according to your unclean ways, and will make you a public spectacle.

7. అప్పుడు నిన్ను చూచు వారందరు నీయొద్ద నుండి పారిపోయి నీనెవె పాడైపోయెనే, దానికొరకు అంగలార్చువారెవరు? నిన్ను ఓదార్చు వారిని ఎక్కడ నుండి పిలుచుకొని వచ్చెదము అందురు.

7. And it shall be that everyone that sees you shall go down from you, and shall say, Wretched Nineveh! Who shall lament for her? Where shall I seek comfort for her?

8. సముద్రమే తనకు ఆపుగాను సముద్రమే తనకు ప్రాకారముగాను చేసికొని, బహు జనములచేత చుట్టబడి నైలునది దగ్గర నుండిన నో అమోను పట్టణముకంటె నీవు విశేషమైన దానవా?

8. Prepare a portion, tune the chord, prepare a portion for Ammon: she that dwells among the rivers, water is round about her, whose dominion is the sea, and whose walls are water.

9. కూషీయులును ఐగుప్తీయులును దాని శూరులైరి, వారు విస్తార జనముగా నుండిరి, పూతువారును లూబీయులును నీకు సహాయులై యుండిరి.

9. And Ethiopia is her strength, and Egypt; and there was no limit of the flight [of her enemies]; and the Libyans became her helpers.

10. అయినను అది చెరపట్టబడి కొనిపోబడెను, రాజమార్గముల మొగల యందు శత్రువులు దానిలోని చిన్న పిల్లలను బండలకు వేసి కొట్టి చంపిరి, దాని ఘనులమీద చీట్లువేసి దాని ప్రధానుల నందరిని సంకెళ్లతో బంధించిరి.

10. Yet she shall go as a prisoner into captivity, and they shall dash her infants against the ground at the top of all her ways: and they shall cast lots upon all her glorious [possessions], and all her nobles shall be bound in chains.

11. నీవును మత్తురాలవై దాగుకొందువు, శత్రువు వచ్చుట చూచి ఆశ్రయదుర్గము వెదకుదువు.

11. And you will be drunk, and shall be overlooked; and you will seek strength for yourself because of your enemies.

12. అయితే నీ కోటలన్నియు అకాలపు పండ్లు గల అంజూరపు చెట్లవలె ఉన్నవి; ఒకడు వాటిని కదిలింపగానే పండ్లు తినవచ్చినవానినోట పడును;

12. All your strongholds are as fig trees having watchers: if they be shaken, they shall fall into the mouth of the eater.

13. నీ జనులు స్త్రీలవంటివారైరి, నీ శత్రువులు చొచ్చునట్లు నీ దేశపు గవునుల యడ్డకఱ్ఱలు తీయబడియున్నవి, అగ్ని నీ అడ్డగడియలను కాల్చుచున్నది.

13. Behold, your people within you are as women: the gates of your land shall surely be opened to your enemies: the fire shall devour your bars.

14. ముట్టడివేయు కాలమునకు నీళ్లు చేదుకొనుము, నీ కోటలను బలపరచుము, జిగట మంటిలోనికి దిగి యిటుకల బురదను త్రొక్కుము, ఆవములను సిద్ధపరచుము.

14. Draw your water for a siege, and well secure your strongholds: enter into the clay, and thus be trodden in the chaff, make [the fortifications] stronger than brick.

15. అచ్చటనే అగ్ని నిన్ను కాల్చివేయును, ఖడ్గము నిన్ను నాశనముచేయును, గొంగళిపురుగు తినివేయురీతిగా అది నిన్ను తినివేయును, నీవు సంఖ్యకు గొంగళిపురుగులంత విస్తారముగాను మిడుత లంత విస్తారముగాను ఉండుము.

15. There the fire shall devour you; the sword shall utterly destroy you, it shall devour you as the locust, and you shall be pressed down as a palmerworm.

16. నీ వర్తకులు లెక్కకు ఆకాశ నక్షత్రములకంటె ఎక్కువగానున్నను గొంగళి పురుగు వచ్చి అంతయు నాకివేసి యెగిరిపోయెను.

16. You have multiplied your merchandise beyond the stars of heaven: the palmerworm has attacked it, and has flown away.

17. నీవు ఏర్పరచిన శూరులు మిడుతలంత విస్తారముగా నున్నారు, నీ సైనికులు చలికాలమందు కంచెలలో దిగిన గొంగళి పురుగులవలె నున్నారు. ఎండకాయగా అవి యెగిరి పోవును, అవి ఎక్కడ వాలినది ఎవరికిని తెలియదు.

17. Your mixed [multitude] has suddenly departed as the grasshopper, as the locust perched on a hedge in a frosty day; the sun arises, and it flies off, and knows not its place: woe to them!

18. అష్షూరు రాజా, నీ కాపరులు నిద్రపోయిరి, నీ ప్రధా నులు పండుకొనిరి, నీ జనులు పర్వతములమీద చెదరి పోయిరి, వారిని సమకూర్చువాడొకడును లేడు.

18. Your shepherds have slumbered, the Assyrian king has laid low your mighty men: your people departed to the mountains, and there was none to receive them.

19. నీకు తగిలిన దెబ్బ బహు చెడ్డది, నీ గాయమునకు చికిత్స ఎవడును చేయజాలడు, జనులందరు ఎడతెగక నీచేత హింసనొందిరి, నిన్నుగూర్చిన వార్త విను వారందరు నీ విషయమై చప్పట్లు కొట్టుదురు.

19. There is no healing for your bruise; your wound has rankled: all that hear the report of you shall clap their hands against you; for upon whom has not your wickedness passed continually?
