1. యెహోవా సీనాయి కొండమీద మోషేతో మాటలాడిన నాటికి అహరోను మోషేల వంశావళులు ఇవే.

1. This is the family of Aaron and Moses at the time the LORD spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai.

2. అహరోను కుమారుల పేరులు ఏవనగా, తొలుతపుట్టిన నాదాబు అబీహు ఎలియాజరు ఈతామారు అనునవే.

2. Aaron had four sons: Nadab, the oldest, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3. ఇవి అభిషేకమునొంది యాజకులైన అహరోను కుమారుల పేరులు; వారు యాజకులగునట్లు అతడు వారిని ప్రతిష్ఠించెను.

3. They were anointed and ordained as priests,

4. but Nadab and Abihu were killed when they offered unholy fire to the LORD in the Sinai Desert. They had no children, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during Aaron's lifetime.

5. The LORD said to Moses,

6. 'Bring forward the tribe of Levi and appoint them as servants of Aaron the priest.

7. They shall do the work required for the Tent of my presence and perform duties for the priests and for the whole community.

8. They shall take charge of all the equipment of the Tent and perform the duties for the rest of the Israelites.

9. కాగా నీవు లేవీయులను అహరోనుకును అతని కుమారులకును అప్పగింపవలెను. వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో నుండి అతని వశము చేయబడినవారు.

9. The only responsibility the Levites have is to serve Aaron and his sons.

10. You shall appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; anyone else who tries to do so shall be put to death.'

11. The LORD said to Moses,

12. 'The Levites are now to be mine. When I killed all the first-born of the Egyptians, I consecrated as my own the oldest son of each Israelite family and the first-born of every animal. Now, instead of having the first-born sons of Israel as my own, I have the Levites; they will belong to me. I am the LORD.'

14. In the Sinai Desert the LORD commanded Moses

15. to register the Levites by clans and families, enrolling every male a month old or older,

16. and Moses did so.

17. లేవి కుమారుల పేళ్లు గెర్షోను కహాతు మెరారి అనునవి.

17. Levi had three sons: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, who were the ancestors of the clans that bear their names. Gershon had two sons: Libni and Shimei; Kohath had four sons: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel; and Merari had two sons: Mahli and Mushi. They were the ancestors of the families that bear their names.

21. The clan of Gershon was composed of the families of Libni and Shimei.

22. వారిలో లెక్కింప బడినవారు అనగా ఒక నెల మొదలుకొని పైప్రాయముగల మగవారందరిలో లెక్కింపబడినవారు ఏడువేల ఐదువందల మంది.

22. The total number of males one month old or older that were enrolled was 7,500.

23. గెర్షోనీయుల వంశములు మందిరము వెనుకను, అనగా పడమటి దిక్కున దిగవలెను.

23. This clan was to camp on the west behind the Tent,

24. గెర్షోనీయుల పితరుల కుటుంబములో లాయేలు కుమారుడైన ఎలీయాసాపు ప్రధానుడు.

24. with Eliasaph son of Lael as chief of the clan.

25. ప్రత్య క్షపు గుడారములో గెర్షోను కుమారులు కాపాడవలసిన వేవనగా, మందిరము గుడారము దాని పైకప్పు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారము ద్వారపు తెరయు

25. They were responsible for the Tent, its inner cover, its outer cover, the curtain for the entrance,

26. ప్రాకారయౌవనికలు మందిరమునకును బలిపీఠమునకును చుట్టునున్న ప్రాకార ద్వారపు తెరయు దాని సమస్త సేవకొరకైన త్రాళ్లును.

26. the curtains for the court which is around the Tent and the altar, and the curtain for the entrance of the court. They were responsible for all the service connected with these items.

27. కహాతు వంశమేదనగా, అమ్రామీయుల వంశము ఇస్హారీయుల వంశము హెబ్రోనీయుల వంశము ఉజ్జీయేలీయుల వంశము; ఇవి కహాతీయుల వంశములు.

27. The clan of Kohath was composed of the families of Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

28. ఒక నెల మొదలుకొని పైప్రాయముగల మగవారందరి లెక్క చూడగా ఎనిమిదివేల ఆరువందలమంది పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమును కాపాడవలసినవారైరి.

28. The total number of males one month old or older that were enrolled was 8,600.

29. కహాతు కుమారుల వంశములు మందిరము యొక్క ప్రక్కను, అనగా దక్షిణదిక్కున దిగవలసినవారు.

29. This clan was to camp on the south side of the Tent,

30. కహాతీయుల వంశముల పితరుల కుటుంబమునకు ప్రధానుడు ఉజ్జీయేలు కుమారుడైన ఎలీషాపాను.

30. with Elizaphan son of Uzziel as chief of the clan.

31. వారు మందసము బల్ల దీపవృక్షము వేదికలు తాము సేవ చేయు పరిశుద్ధస్థలములోని ఉపకరణములు అడ్డ తెరయు కాపాడి దాని సమస్త సేవయు జరుపవలసినవారు.

31. They were responsible for the Covenant Box, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the utensils the priests use in the Holy Place, and the curtain at the entrance to the Most Holy Place. They were responsible for all the service connected with these items.

32. యాజకుడైన అహరోను కుమారుడగు ఎలియాజరు లేవీయుల ప్రధానులకు ముఖ్యుడు. అతడు పరిశుద్ధస్థలమును కాపాడు వారిమీద విచారణకర్త.

32. The chief of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He was in charge of those who carried out the duties in the Holy Place.

33. The clan of Merari was composed of the families of Mahli and Mushi.

34. The total number of males one month old or older that were enrolled was 6,200.

35. This clan was to camp on the north side of the Tent, with Zuriel son of Abihail as chief of the clan.

36. మెరారి కుమారులు మందిరము యొక్క పలకలను దాని అడ్డకఱ్ఱలను దాని స్తంభములను దాని దిమ్మలను దాని ఉపకరణము లన్నిటిని దాని సేవకొరకైనవన్నిటిని

36. They were assigned responsibility for the frames for the Tent, its bars, posts, bases, and all its fittings. They were responsible for all the service connected with these items.

37. దాని చుట్టునున్న ప్రాకార స్తంభములను వాటి దిమ్మలను వాటి మేకులను వాటి త్రాళ్లను కాపాడవలసినవారు.

37. They were also responsible for the posts, bases, pegs, and ropes for the outer court.

38. మందిరము ఎదుటి తూర్పుదిక్కున, అనగా ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారము ఎదుటి పూర్వదిశయందు దిగవలసినవారు మోషే అహరోనులు అహరోను కుమారులు; ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు కాపాడవలసిన పరిశుద్ధస్థలమును వారే కాపాడవలెను. అన్యుడు సమీపించినయెడల అతడు మరణశిక్ష నొందును.

38. Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp in front of the Tent on the east. They were responsible for carrying out the services performed in the Holy Place for the people of Israel. Anyone else who tried to do so was to be put to death.

39. మోషే అహరోనులు యెహోవా మాటను బట్టి, తమ తమ వంశ ములచొప్పున లెక్కించిన లేవీయులలో లెక్కింపబడిన వారందరు, అనగా ఒక నెల మొదలుకొని పైప్రాయము గల మగవారందరు ఇరువది రెండువేల మంది.

39. The total number of all the Levite males one month old or older that Moses enrolled by clans at the command of the LORD, was 22,000.

40. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఒక నెల మొదలు కొని పై ప్రాయముగల తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతిమగవానిని లెక్కించి వారి సంఖ్యను వ్రాయించుము.

40. The LORD said to Moses, 'All of Israel's first-born sons belong to me. So register by name every first-born male Israelite, one month old or older. But in place of them I claim all the Levites as mine! I am the LORD! I also claim the livestock of the Levites in place of all the first-born of the livestock.'

41. నేనే యెహోవాను; నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతి మగ పిల్లకు మారుగా లేవీయులను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పశువులలొ తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతి దానికి మారుగా లేవీయుల పశువులను నా నిమిత్తము తీసికొనవలెను.

42. కాబట్టి యెహోవా తనకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు మోషే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలుత పుట్టినవారి నందరిని లెక్కించెను.

42. Moses obeyed, and registered all the first-born males

43. వారిలో లెక్కింపబడిన వారి సంఖ్య, అనగా ఒక నెల మొదలుకొని పైప్రాయము గల తొలిచూలి మగవారందరి సంఖ్య యిరువది రెండు వేల రెండువందల డెబ్బదిమూడు.

43. one month old or older; the total was 22,273.

44. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

44. The LORD said to Moses,

45. నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానికి మారుగా లేవీయులను వారి పశువులకు ప్రతిగా లేవీయుల పశువులను తీసికొనుము. లేవీయులు నా వారైయుందురు; నేనే యెహోవాను.

45. 'Now dedicate the Levites as mine in place of all the first-born Israelite sons, and dedicate the livestock of the Levites in place of the first-born of the Israelites' livestock.

46. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు తొలుత పుట్టిన వారిలో లేవీయుల కంటె రెండువందల డెబ్బది ముగ్గురు ఎక్కువైనందున శేషించినవారియొద్ద తలకొక అయిదేసి తులముల వెండిని తీసికొనవలెను.

46. Since the first-born Israelite sons outnumber the Levites by 273, you must buy back the extra sons.

47. పరిశుద్ధమైన తులము చొప్పున వాటిని తీసికొనవలెను.

47. For each one pay five pieces of silver, according to the official standard,

48. తులము ఇరువది చిన్నములు. వారిలో ఎక్కువ మంది విమోచనకొరకు ఇయ్యబడిన ధనమును అహరోనుకును అతని కుమారులకును ఇయ్యవలెను.

48. and give this money to Aaron and his sons.'

49. కాబట్టి మోషే లేవీయులవలన విడిపింప బడినవారికంటె ఆ యెక్కువైన వారియొక్క విమోచన ధనమును తీసికొనెను.

49. Moses obeyed and took

50. పరిశుద్ధమైన తులముచొప్పున వెయ్యి మూడువందల అరువది యైదు తులముల ధనమును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల జ్యేష్ఠకుమారులయొద్ద తీసికొనెను.

50. the 1,365 pieces of silver

51. యెహోవా మోషే కాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు యెహోవా నోటి మాటచొప్పున అహరోనుకును అతని కుమారులకును విడి పింపబడిన వారి విమోచన ధనమును మోషే యిచ్చెను.

51. and gave them to Aaron and his sons.
