1. అటుతరువాత ప్రభువు డెబ్బదిమంది యితరులను నియమించి, తాను వెళ్లబోవు ప్రతి ఊరికిని ప్రతిచోటికిని తనకంటె ముందు ఇద్దరిద్దరినిగా పంపెను.

1. After this the Lord chose seventy others. He sent them out two together to every city and place where He would be going later.

2. పంపినప్పు డాయన వారితో ఇట్లనెనుకోత విస్తారముగా ఉన్నది గాని పనివారు కొద్దిమందియే; కాబట్టి కోత యజమానుని తన కోతకు పనివారిని పంప వేడుకొనుడి.

2. Jesus said to them, 'There is much grain ready to gather. But the workmen are few. Pray then to the Lord Who is the Owner of the grain-fields that He will send workmen to gather His grain.

3. మీరు వెళ్లుడి; ఇదిగో తోడేళ్లమధ్యకు గొఱ్ఱె పిల్లలను పంపినట్టు నేను మిమ్మును పంపుచున్నాను.

3. Go on your way. Listen! I send you out like lambs among wolves.

4. మీరు సంచినైనను జాలెనైనను చెప్పులనైనను తీసి కొనిపోవద్దు;

4. Take no money. Do not take a bag or shoes. Speak to no one along the way.

5. త్రోవలో ఎవని నైనను కుశలప్రశ్న లడుగ వద్దు; మీరు ఏ యింటనైనను ప్రవేశించునప్పుడుఈ యింటికి సమాధానమగు గాక అని మొదట చెప్పుడి.

5. When you go into a house, say that you hope peace will come to them.

6. సమాధానపాత్రుడు అక్కడ నుండినయెడల మీ సమాధానము అతనిమీద నిలుచును; లేనియెడల అది మీకు తిరిగి వచ్చును.

6. If a man who loves peace lives there, your good wishes will come to him. If your good wishes are not received, they will come back to you.

7. వారు మీకిచ్చు పదార్థములను తినుచు త్రాగుచు ఆ యింటిలోనే యుండుడి, పనివాడు తన జీతమునకు పాత్రుడు. ఇంటిం టికి తిరుగవద్దు.

7. Stay in the same house. Eat and drink what they give you. The workman should have his thanks. Do not move from house to house.

8. మరియు మీరు ఏ పట్టణములోనైన ప్రవేశించునప్పుడు వారు మిమ్మును చేర్చుకొంటే మీ ముందరపెట్టునవి తినుడి.

8. 'Whenever a city receives you, eat the things that are put before you there.

9. అందులో నున్న రోగులను స్వస్థపరచుడి దేవుని రాజ్యము మీ దగ్గరకు వచ్చియున్న దని వారితో చెప్పుడి.

9. Heal the sick. Say to them, 'The holy nation of God is near.'

10. మీరు ఏ పట్టణములోనైన ప్రవేశించునప్పుడు వారు మిమ్మును చేర్చుకొనక పోయిన యెడల

10. Whatever city does not receive you, go into its streets and say,

11. మీరు దాని వీధులలోనికి పోయిమా పాదములకు అంటిన మీ పట్టణపు ధూళినికూడ మీ యెదుటనే దులిపివేయుచున్నాము; అయినను దేవుని రాజ్యము సమీపించి యున్నదని తెలిసికొనుడని చెప్పుడి.

11. 'Even the dust of your city that is on our feet we are cleaning off against you. But understand this, the holy nation of God has come near you!'

12. ఆ పట్టణపు గతికంటె సొదొమ పట్టణపు గతి ఆ దినమున ఓర్వతగినదై యుండునని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

12. I tell you, on the day men stand before God, it will be easier for the city of Sodom than for that city.

13. అయ్యో కొరాజీనా, అయ్యో బేత్సయిదా, మీ మధ్య చేయబడిన అద్భుతములు తూరు సీదోను పట్టణ ములలో చేయబడినయెడల ఆ పట్టణములవారు పూర్వమే గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని బూడిదె వేసికొని కూర్చుండి మారుమనస్సు పొందియుందురు.

13. It is bad for you, city of Chorazin! It is bad for you, town of Bethsaida! For if the powerful works which were done in you had been done in the cities of Tyre and Sidon they would have turned from their sins long ago. They would have shown their sorrow by putting on clothes made from hair and would have sat in ashes.

14. అయినను విమర్శకాలము నందు మీ గతికంటె తూరు సీదోను పట్టణములవారి గతి ఓర్వదగినదై యుండును.

14. It will be better for Tyre and Sidon on the day men stand before God and be told they are guilty than for you.

15. ఓ కపెర్నహూమా, ఆకాశము మట్టుకు హెచ్చింపబడెదవా? నీవు పాతాళమువరకు దిగిపోయెదవు.

15. And you, Capernaum, are you to be lifted up into heaven? You will be taken down to hell.

16. మీ మాట వినువాడు నా మాట వినును, మిమ్మును నిరాకరించువాడు నన్ను నిరాకరించును, నన్ను నిరాకరించువాడు నన్ను పంపినవానిని నిరాకరించుననెను.

16. Whoever listens to you, listens to Me. Whoever has nothing to do with you, has nothing to do with Me. Whoever has nothing to do with Me, has nothing to do with the One Who sent Me.'

17. ఆ డెబ్బదిమంది శిష్యులు సంతోషముతో తిరిగి వచ్చి ప్రభువా, దయ్యములు కూడ నీ నామమువలన మాకు లోబడుచున్నవని చెప్పగా

17. The seventy came back full of joy. They said, 'Lord, even the demons obeyed us when we used Your name.'

18. ఆయన సాతాను మెరుపు వలె ఆకాశమునుండి పడుట చూచితిని.
యెషయా 14:12

18. Jesus said to them, 'I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning.

19. ఇదిగో పాములను తేళ్లను త్రొక్కుటకును శత్రువు బలమంతటిమీదను మీకు అధికారము అనుగ్రహించియున్నాను; ఏదియు మీ కెంతమాత్రమును హానిచేయదు.

19. Listen! I have given you power to walk on snakes. I have given you power over small animals with a sting of poison. I have given you power over all the power of the one who works against you. Nothing will hurt you.

20. అయినను దయ్యములు మీకు లోబడుచున్నవని సంతోషింపక మీ పేరులు పరలోకమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నవని సంతోషించుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

20. Even so, you should not be happy because the demons obey you but be happy because your names are written in heaven.'

21. ఆ గడియలోనే యేసు పరిశుద్ధాత్మయందు బహుగా ఆనందించి - తండ్రీ, ఆకాశమునకును భూమికిని ప్రభువా, నీవు జ్ఞానులకును వివేకులకును ఈ సంగతులను మరుగు చేసి పసిబాలురకు బయలు పరచినావని నిన్ను స్తుతించు చున్నాను; అవును తండ్రీ, ఆలాగు నీ దృష్టికి అనుకూల మాయెను.

21. At this time Jesus was full of the joy of the Holy Spirit. He said, 'I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. You have kept these things hidden from the wise and from those who have much learning. You have shown them to little children. Yes, Father, it was what you wanted done.

22. సమస్తమును నా తండ్రిచేత నాకు అప్పగింప బడియున్నది; కుమారుడెవడో, తండ్రి తప్ప మరెవడును ఎరుగడు; తండ్రి ఎవడో, కుమారుడును కుమారుడెవనికి ఆయనను బయలు పరచనుద్దేశించునో వాడును తప్ప, మరెవడును ఎరుగడని చెప్పెను.

22. 'Everything has been given to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son but the Father. No one knows the Father but the Son and the Son makes the Father known to those He chooses.'

23. అప్పుడాయన తన శిష్యులవైపు తిరిగి - మీరు చూచుచున్న వాటిని చూచు కన్నులు ధన్యములైనవి;

23. Then He turned to His followers and said without anyone else hearing, 'Happy are those who see what you see!

24. అనేకమంది ప్రవక్తలును రాజులును, మీరు చూచుచున్నవి చూడగోరి చూడకయు, వినగోరి వినకయు ఉండిరని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నానని యేకాంతమందు వారితో అనెను.

24. I tell you, many early preachers and kings have wanted to see the things you are seeing, but they did not see them. They have wanted to hear the things you are hearing, but they did not hear them.'

25. ఇదిగో ఒకప్పుడు ధర్మశాస్త్రోప దేశకుడొకడు లేచి బోధకుడా, నిత్యజీవమునకు వారసుడనగుటకు నేనేమి చేయవలెనని ఆయనను శోధించుచు అడిగెను.

25. A man stood up who knew the Law and tried to trap Jesus. He said, 'Teacher, what must I do to have life that lasts forever?'

26. అందుకాయన ధర్మశాస్త్రమందేమి వ్రాయబడియున్నది? నీ వేమి చదువుచున్నావని అతని నడుగగా

26. Jesus said to him, 'What is written in the Law? What does the Law say?'

27. అతడు - నీ దేవుడైన ప్రభువును నీ పూర్ణహృదయముతోను, నీ పూర్ణమనస్సుతోను, నీ పూర్ణశక్తితోను, నీ పూర్ణవివేకము తోను ప్రేమింపవలెననియు, నిన్నువలె నీ పొరుగువాని ప్రేమింపవలెననియు, వ్రాయబడియున్నాదని చెప్పెను.

27. The man said, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart. You must love Him with all your soul. You must love Him with all your strength. You must love Him with all your mind. You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.'

28. అందుకాయన నీవు సరిగా ఉత్తరమిచ్చితివి; ఆలాగు చేయుము అప్పుడు జీవించెదవని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

28. Jesus said to him, 'You have said the right thing. Do this and you will have life.'

29. అయితే తాను నీతిమంతుడైనట్టు కనబరచుకొనగోరి, అతడు అవును గాని నా పొరుగువాడెవడని యేసునడి గెను.

29. The man tried to make himself look good. He asked Jesus, 'Who is my neighbor?'

30. అందుకు యేసు ఇట్లనెనుఒక మనుష్యుడు యెరూషలేము నుండి యెరికోపట్టణమునకు దిగి వెళ్లుచు దొంగల చేతిలో చిక్కెను; వారు అతని బట్టలు దోచుకొని, అతని కొట్టి కొరప్రాణముతో విడిచి

30. Jesus said, 'A man was going down from Jerusalem to the city of Jericho. Robbers came out after him. They took his clothes off and beat him. Then they went away, leaving him almost dead.

31. అప్పుడొక యాజకుడు ఆ త్రోవను వెళ్లుట తటస్థించెను. అతడు అతనిని చూచి, ప్రక్కగా పోయెను.

31. A religious leader was walking down that road and saw the man. But he went by on the other side.

32. ఆలాగుననే లేవీయుడొకడు ఆ చోటికివచ్చి చూచి ప్రక్కగా పోయెను.

32. In the same way, a man from the family group of Levi was walking down that road. When he saw the man who was hurt, he came near to him but kept on going on the other side of the road.

33. అయితే ఒక సమరయుడు ప్రయాణమై పోవుచు, అతడు పడియున్నచోటికి వచ్చి

33. Then a man from the country of Samaria came by. He went up to the man. As he saw him, he had loving-pity on him.

34. అతనిని చూచి, అతనిమీద జాలిపడి, దగ్గరకుపోయి, నూనెయు ద్రాక్షారసమును పోసి అతని గాయములను కట్టి, తన వాహనముమీద ఎక్కించి యొక పూటకూళ్లవాని యింటికి తీసికొనిపోయి అతని పరామర్శించెను.

34. He got down and put oil and wine on the places where he was hurt and put cloth around them. Then the man from Samaria put this man on his own donkey. He took him to a place where people stay for the night and cared for him.

35. మరునాడతడు రెండు దేనారములు తీసి ఆ పూట కూళ్లవానికిచ్చి ఇతని పరామర్శించుము, నీవింకే మైనను ఖర్చు చేసినయెడల నేను మరల వచ్చునప్పుడు అది నీకు తీర్చెదనని అతనితో చెప్పి పోయెను.

35. The next day the man from Samaria was ready to leave. He gave the owner of that place two pieces of money to care for him. He said to him, 'Take care of this man. If you use more than this, I will give it to you when I come again.'

36. కాగా దొంగలచేతిలో చిక్కినవానికి ఈ ముగ్గురిలో ఎవడు పొరుగువాడాయెనని నీకు తోచు చున్నది అని యేసు అడుగగా అతడు - అతనిమీద జాలి పడినవాడే అనెను.

36. 'Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who was beaten by the robbers?'

37. అందుకు యేసు నీవును వెళ్లి ఆలాగు చేయుమని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

37. The man who knew the Law said, 'The one who showed loving-pity on him.' Then Jesus said, 'Go and do the same.'

38. అంతట వారు ప్రయాణమై పోవుచుండగా, ఆయన యొక గ్రామములో ప్రవేశించెను. మార్త అను ఒక స్త్రీ ఆయనను తన యింట చేర్చుకొనెను.

38. As they went on their way, they came to a town where a woman named Martha lived. She cared for Jesus in her home.

39. ఆమెకు మరియ అను సహోదరియుండెను. ఈమె యేసు పాదములయొద్ద కూర్చుండి ఆయన బోధవిను చుండెను.

39. Martha had a sister named Mary. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to all He said.

40. మార్త విస్తారమైన పని పెట్టుకొనుటచేత తొందరపడి, ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చిప్రభువా, నేను ఒంటరిగా పనిచేయుటకు నా సహోదరి నన్ను విడిచి పెట్టినందున, నీకు చింతలేదా? నాకు సహాయము చేయుమని ఆమెతో చెప్పుమనెను.

40. Martha was working hard getting the supper ready. She came to Jesus and said, 'Do You see that my sister is not helping me? Tell her to help me.'

41. అందుకు ప్రభువు మార్తా, మార్తా, నీవనేకమైన పనులను గూర్చి విచార ముకలిగి తొందరపడుచున్నావు గాని అవసరమైనది ఒక్కటే

41. Jesus said to her, 'Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

42. మరియ ఉత్తమమైనదానిని ఏర్పరచుకొనెను, అది ఆమె యొద్దనుండి తీసివేయబడదని ఆమెతో చెప్పెను.

42. Only a few things are important, even just one. Mary has chosen the good thing. It will not be taken away from her.'
