1. ఆయన యొక చోట ప్రార్థన చేయుచుండెను. ప్రార్థన చాలించిన తరువాత ఆయన శిష్యులలో ఒకడు ప్రభువా, యోహాను తన శిష్యులకు నేర్పి నట్టుగా మాకును ప్రార్థనచేయ నేర్పుమని ఆయన నడిగెను.

1. One time Jesus was out praying, and when he finished, one of his followers said to him, 'John taught his followers how to pray. Lord, teach us how to pray too.'

2. అందు కాయనమీరు ప్రార్థన చేయునప్పుడు తండ్రీ, నీ నామము పరిశుద్ధపరచబడును గాక, నీ రాజ్యము వచ్చును గాక,

2. Jesus said to the followers, 'This is how you should pray: 'Father, we pray that your name will always be kept holy. We pray that your kingdom will come.

3. మాకు కావలసిన అనుదినాహారము దినదినము మాకు దయచేయుము;

3. Give us the food we need for each day.

4. మేము మాకచ్చియున్న ప్రతి వానిని క్షమించుచున్నాము గనుక మాపాపములను క్షమించుము; మమ్మును శోధనలోనికి తేకుము అని పలుకుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

4. Forgive our sins, just as we forgive everyone who has done wrong to us. And don't let us be tempted.''

5. మరియు ఆయన వారితో ఇట్లనెను మీలో ఎవనికైన ఒక స్నేహితుడుండగా అతడు అర్ధరాత్రివేళ ఆ స్నేహి తుని యొద్దకు వెళ్లిస్నేహితుడా, నాకు మూడురొట్టెలు బదులిమ్ము;

5. Then Jesus said to them, 'Suppose one of you went to your friend's house very late at night and said to him, 'A friend of mine has come into town to visit me. But I have nothing for him to eat. Please give me three loaves of bread.'

6. నా స్నేహితుడు ప్రయాణముచేయుచు మార్గములో నాయొద్దకు వచ్చి యున్నాడు; అతనికి పెట్టుటకు నాయొద్ద ఏమియు లేదని అతనితో చెప్పినయెడల

7. అతడు లోపలనే యుండినన్ను తొందరపెట్టవద్దు; తలుపు వేసియున్నది, నా చిన్నపిల్లలు నాతోకూడ పండుకొని యున్నారు, నేను లేచి ఇయ్యలేనని చెప్పునా?

7. Your friend inside the house answers, 'Go away! Don't bother me! The door is already locked. My children and I are in bed. I cannot get up and give you the bread now.'

8. అతడు తన స్నేహితుడైనందున లేచి ఇయ్యకపోయి నను, అతడు సిగ్గుమాలి మాటి మాటికి అడుగుటవలన నైనను లేచి అతనికి కావలసినవన్నియు ఇచ్చును అని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

8. I tell you, maybe friendship is not enough to make him get up to give you the bread. But he will surely get up to give you what you need if you continue to ask.

9. అటువలె మీరును అడుగుడి, మీ కియ్యబడును; వెదకుడి, మీకు దొరకును; తట్టుడి, మీకు తీయబడును.

9. So I tell you, continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.

10. అడుగు ప్రతివానికియ్యబడును, వెదకువానికి దొరకును, తట్టు వానికి తీయబడునని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

10. Yes, whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the door opened for them.

11. మీలో తండ్రియైనవాడు తన కుమారుడు చేపనడిగితే చేపకు ప్రతిగా పామునిచ్చునా? గుడ్డునడిగితే తేలు నిచ్చునా?

11. Do any of you have a son? What would you do if your son asked you for a fish? Would any father give him a snake?

12. కాబట్టి మీరు చెడ్డవారైయుండియు, మీ పిల్లలకు మంచి యీవులనియ్య నెరిగియుండగా

12. Or, if he asked for an egg, would you give him a scorpion? Of course not!

13. పరలోకమందున్న మీ తండ్రి తన్ను అడుగువారికి పరిశుద్ధాత్మను ఎంతో నిశ్చయ ముగా అనుగ్రహించుననెను.

13. Even you who are bad know how to give good things to your children. So surely your heavenly Father knows how to give the Holy Spirit to the people who ask him.'

14. ఒకప్పుడాయన మూగదయ్యమును వెళ్లగొట్టు చుండెను. ఆ దయ్యము వదలిపోయిన తరువాత మూగవాడు మాట లాడెను గనుక జనసమూహములు ఆశ్చర్యపడెను.

14. One time Jesus was sending a demon out of a man who could not talk. When the demon came out, the man was able to speak. The crowds were amazed.

15. అయితే వారిలో కొందరువీడు దయ్యములకు అధిపతి యైన బయెల్జెబూలువలన దయ్యములను వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్నా డని చెప్పుకొనిరి.

15. But some of the people said, 'He uses the power of Satan to force demons out of people. Satan is the ruler of demons.'

16. మరికొందరు ఆయనను శోధించుచుపరలోకము నుండి యొక సూచక క్రియను చూపుమని ఆయన నడిగిరి.

16. Some others there wanted to test Jesus. They asked him to do a miracle as a sign from God.

17. ఆయన వారి ఆలోచనల నెరిగి వారితో ఇట్లనెను తనకు తానే వ్యతిరేకముగా వేరుపడిన ప్రతి రాజ్యమును పాడైపోవును; తనకుతానే విరోధమైన యిల్లు కూలిపోవును.
1 సమూయేలు 16:7

17. But he knew what they were thinking. So he said to them, 'Every kingdom that fights against itself will be destroyed. And a family that fights against itself will break apart.

18. సాతానును తనకు వ్యతిరేక ముగా తానే వేరుపడిన యెడల వాని రాజ్యమేలాగు నిలుచును? నేను బయెల్జెబూలువలన దయ్యములను వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్నానని మీరు చెప్పుచున్నారే.

18. So if Satan is fighting against himself, how will his kingdom survive? You say that I use the power of Satan to force out demons.

19. నేను బయెల్జెబూలు వలన దయ్యములను వెళ్లగొట్టు చున్నయెడల మీ కుమారులు ఎవనివలన వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్నారు? అందుచేత వారే మీకు తీర్పరులై యుందురు.

19. But if I use Satan's power to force out demons, then what power do your people use when they force out demons? So your own people will prove that you are wrong.

20. అయితే నేను దేవుని వ్రేలితో దయ్యములను వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్న యెడల నిశ్చయముగా దేవుని రాజ్యము మీయొద్దకు వచ్చియున్నది.

20. But I use the power of God to force out demons. This shows that God's kingdom has come to you.

21. బలవంతుడు ఆయుధములు ధరించుకొని, తన ఆవరణమును కాచుకొనునప్పుడు, అతని సొత్తు భద్రముగా ఉండును.

21. 'When a strong man with many weapons guards his own house, the things in his house are safe.

22. అయితే అతనికంటె బలవంతుడైన ఒకడు అతని పైబడి జయించునప్పుడు, అతడు నమ్ముకొనిన ఆయుధముల నన్నిటిని లాగుకొని అతని ఆస్తిని పంచిపెట్టును.

22. But suppose a stronger man comes and defeats him. The stronger man will take away the weapons that the first man trusted to keep his house safe. Then the stronger man will do what he wants with the other man's things.

23. నా పక్షమున ఉండనివాడు నాకు విరోధి; నాతో సమకూర్చనివాడు చెదరగొట్టువాడు.

23. 'Whoever is not with me is against me. And anyone who does not work with me is working against me.

24. అపవిత్రాత్మ యొక మనుష్యుని వదలిపోయిన తరువాత అది విశ్రాంతి వెదకుచు నీరులేని చోట్ల తిరుగుచుండును. విశ్రాంతి దొరకనందుననేను విడిచి వచ్చిన నా యింటికి తిరిగి వెళ్లుదుననుకొని

24. 'When an evil spirit comes out of someone, it travels through dry places, looking for a place to rest. But it finds no place to rest. So it says, 'I will go back to the home I left.'

25. వచ్చి, ఆ యిల్లు ఊడ్చి అమర్చి యుండుట చూచి

25. When it comes back, it finds that home all neat and clean.

26. వెళ్లి, తనకంటె చెడ్డవైన మరి యేడు (అపవిత్ర) ఆత్మలను వెంటబెట్టుకొని వచ్చును; అవి అందులో ప్రవేశించి అక్కడనే కాపురముండును; అందు చేత ఆ మనుష్యుని కడపటి స్థితి మొదటిదానికంటె చెడ్డ దగునని చెప్పెను.

26. Then the evil spirit goes out and brings back seven other spirits more evil than itself. They all go and live there, and that person has even more trouble than before.'

27. ఆయన యీ మాటలు చెప్పుచుండగా ఆ సమూహ ములో నున్న యొక స్త్రీ ఆయనను చూచినిన్ను మోసిన గర్భమును నీవు కుడిచిన స్తనములును ధన్యములైనవని కేకలు వేసి చెప్పగా

27. As Jesus was saying these things, a woman with the people there called out to him, 'What a great blessing God gave your mother, because she gave birth to you and fed you!'

28. ఆయన అవునుగాని దేవుని వాక్యము విని దానిని గైకొనువారు మరి ధన్యులని చెప్పెను.

28. But Jesus said, 'The people who hear the teaching of God and obey it�they are the ones who have God's blessing.'

29. మరియు జనులు గుంపులుగా కూడినప్పుడు ఆయన యీలాగు చెప్పసాగెనుఈ తరమువారు దుష్టతరము వారై యుండి సూచక క్రియ నడుగుచు న్నారు. అయితే యోనానుగూర్చిన సూచక క్రియయే గాని మరి ఏ సూచక క్రియయు వీరికి అనుగ్రహింప బడదు.

29. The crowd grew larger and larger. Jesus said, 'The people who live today are evil. They ask for a miracle as a sign from God. But no miracle will be done to prove anything to them. The only sign will be the miracle that happened to Jonah.

30. యోనా నీనెవె పట్టణస్థులకు ఏలాగు సూచనగా ఉండెనో ఆలాగే మనుష్య కుమారుడును ఈ తరమువారికి సూచనగా ఉండును.

30. Jonah was a sign for those who lived in Nineveh. It is the same with the Son of Man. He will be a sign for the people of this time.

31. దక్షిణదేశపు రాణి విమర్శకాలమున ఈ తరమువారితో కూడ లేచి వారిమీద నేరస్థాపనచేయును. ఆమె సొలొమోను జ్ఞానము వినుటకు భూమ్యంతములనుండి వచ్చెను, ఇదిగో సొలొమోనుకంటె గొప్పవాడిక్కడ ఉన్నాడు.

31. 'On the judgment day, you people who live now will be compared with the Queen of the South, and she will be a witness who shows how guilty you are. Why do I say this? Because she traveled from far, far away to listen to Solomon's wise teaching. And I tell you that someone greater than Solomon is right here, but you won't listen!

32. నీనెవె మనుష్యులు విమర్శకాలమున ఈ తరమువారితో కూడ నిలువబడి వారిమీద నేరస్థాపనచేయుదురు. వారు యోనా ప్రకటన విని మారుమనస్సు పొందిరి; ఇదిగో యోనా కంటె గొప్పవాడిక్కడ ఉన్నాడు.
యోనా 3:8, యోనా 3:10

32. 'On the judgment day, you people who live now will also be compared with the people from Nineveh, and they will be witnesses who show how guilty you are. I say this because when Jonah preached to those people, they changed their hearts and lives. And you are listening to someone greater than Jonah, but you refuse to change!

33. ఎవడును దీపము వెలిగించి, చాటుచోటునైనను కుంచముక్రిందనైనను పెట్టడు గాని, లోపలికి వచ్చువారికి వెలుగు కనబడుటకు దీపస్తంభముమీదనే పెట్టును.

33. 'No one takes a light and puts it under a bowl or hides it. Instead, they put it on a lampstand so that the people who come in can see.

34. నీ దేహమునకు దీపము నీ కన్నే గనుక, నీ కన్ను తేటగా నుంటె నీ దేహమంతయు వెలుగు మయమై యుండును; అది చెడినదైతే నీ దేహమును చీకటిమయమై యుండును.

34. The only source of light for the body is the eye. When you look at people and want to help them, you are full of light. But when you look at people in a selfish way, you are full of darkness.

35. కాబట్టి నీలోనుండు వెలుగు చీకటియైయుండకుండ చూచు కొనుము.

35. So be careful! Don't let the light in you become darkness.

36. ఏ భాగమైనను చీకటికాక నీ దేహమంతయు వెలుగు మయమైతే, దీపము తన కాంతివలన నీకు వెలు గిచ్చునప్పుడు ఏలాగుండునో ఆలాగు దేహమంతయు వెలుగుమయమై యుండునని చెప్పెను.

36. If you are full of light, and there is no part of you that is dark, then you will be all bright, as though you have the light of a lamp shining on you.'

37. ఆయన మాటలాడుచుండగా ఒక పరిసయ్యుడు తనతో కూడ భోజనము చేయుమని ఆయనను పిలువగా ఆయన లోపలికి వెళ్లి భోజనపంక్తిని కూర్చుండెను.

37. After Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee asked Jesus to eat with him. So he went and took a place at the table.

38. ఆయన భోజనమునకు ముందుగా స్నానము చేయలేదని ఆ పరిసయ్యుడు చూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడెను.

38. But the Pharisee was surprised when he saw that Jesus did not wash his hands first before the meal.

39. అందుకు ప్రభువిట్లనెను పరిసయ్యులైన మీరు గిన్నెయు పళ్లెమును వెలుపల శుద్ధి చేయుదురు గాని మీ అంతరంగము దోపుతోను చెడు తనముతోను నిండియున్నది.

39. The Lord said to him, 'The washing you Pharisees do is like cleaning only the outside of a cup or a dish. But what is inside you? You want only to cheat and hurt people.

40. అవివేకులారా, వెలుపలి భాగమును చేసినవాడు లోపటి భాగమును చేయలేదా?

40. You are foolish! The same one who made what is outside also made what is inside.

41. కాగా మీకు కలిగినవి ధర్మము చేయుడి, అప్పుడు మీ కన్నియు శుద్ధిగా ఉండును.

41. So pay attention to what is inside. Give to the people who need help. Then you will be fully clean.

42. అయ్యో పరిసయ్యులారా, మీరు పుదీనా సదాప మొదలైన ప్రతి కూరలోను పదియవవంతు చెల్లించుచున్నారే గాని, న్యాయమును దేవుని ప్రేమను విడిచి పెట్టుచున్నారు. వాటిని మానక వీటిని చేయవలసియున్నది.
లేవీయకాండము 27:30

42. 'But it will be bad for you Pharisees! You give God a tenth of everything you have�even your mint, your rue, and every other little plant in your garden. But you forget to be fair to others and to love God. These are the things you should do. And you should also continue to do those other things.

43. అయ్యో పరిసయ్యులారా, మీరు సమాజ మందిరములలో అగ్రపీఠములను సంతవీధులలో వందనము లను కోరుచున్నారు.

43. 'It will be bad for you Pharisees because you love to have the most important seats in the synagogues. And you love for people to show respect to you in the marketplaces.

44. అయ్యో, మీరు కనబడని సమాధులవలె ఉన్నారు; వాటిమీద నడుచు మనుష్యులు (అవి సమాధులని) యెరుగరనెను.

44. It will be bad for you, because you are like hidden graves. People walk on them without knowing it.'

45. అప్పుడు ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకుడొకడు బోధకుడా, యీలాగు చెప్పి మమ్మునుకూడ నిందించుచున్నావని ఆయ నతో చెప్పగా

45. One of the experts in the law said to Jesus, 'Teacher, when you say these things about the Pharisees, you are criticizing our group too.'

46. ఆయన అయ్యో, ధర్మ శాస్త్రోపదేశకులారా, మోయ శక్యముకాని బరువులను మీరు మనుష్యులమీద మోపుదురు గాని మీరు ఒక వ్రేలితోనైనను ఆ బరువులను ముట్టరు.

46. Jesus answered, 'It will be bad for you, you experts in the law! You make strict rules that are very hard for people to obey. You try to force others to obey your rules. But you yourselves don't even try to follow any of those rules.

47. అయ్యో, మీ పితరులు చంపిన ప్రవక్తల సమాధులను మీరు కట్టించుచున్నారు.

47. It will be bad for you, because you build tombs for the prophets. But these are the same prophets your ancestors killed!

48. కావున మీరు సాక్షులై మీ పితరుల కార్యములకు సమ్మతించు చున్నారు; వారు ప్రవక్తలను చంపిరి, మీరు వారి సమాధులు కట్టించుదురు.

48. And now you show all people that you agree with what your ancestors did. They killed the prophets, and you build tombs for the prophets!

49. అందుచేత దేవుని జ్ఞానము చెప్పిన దేమనగా నేను వారియొద్దకు ప్రవక్తలను అపొస్తలులను పంపుదును.

49. This is why God in his wisdom said, 'I will send prophets and apostles to them. Some of my prophets and apostles will be killed by evil men. Others will be treated badly.'

50. వారు కొందరిని చంపుదురు, కొందరిని హింసింతురు.

50. 'So you people who live now will be punished for the deaths of all the prophets who were killed since the beginning of the world.

51. కాబట్టి లోకము పుట్టినది మొదలుకొని, అనగా హేబెలు రక్తము మొదలుకొని బలిపీఠమునకును మందిరము నకును మధ్యను నశించిన జెకర్యా రక్తమువరకు చిందింపబడిన ప్రవక్తలందరి రక్తము నిమిత్తము ఈ తరము వారు విచారింపబడుదురు; నిశ్చయముగా ఈ తరమువారు ఆ రక్తము నిమిత్తము విచారింపబడుదురని మీతో చెప్పు చున్నాను.

51. You will be punished for the killing of Abel. And you will be punished for the killing of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the Temple. Yes, I tell you that you people will be punished for them all.

52. అయ్యో, ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకులారా, మీరు జ్ఞానమను తాళపు చెవిని ఎత్తికొని పోతిరి; మీరును లోపల ప్రవేశింపరు, ప్రవేశించువారిని అడ్డగింతురని చెప్పెను.

52. 'It will be bad for you, you experts in the law! You have taken away the key to learning about God. You yourselves would not learn, and you stopped others from learning too.'

53. ఆయన అక్కడనుండి వెళ్లినప్పుడు శాస్త్రులును పరిసయ్యులును ఆయన మీద నిండ పగబట్టి ఆయన మీద నేరము మోపవలెనని యుండి,

53. When Jesus went out, the teachers of the law and the Pharisees began to give him much trouble. They tried to make him answer questions about many things.

54. ఆయన నోట నుండి వచ్చు ఏమాటనైనను పట్టుకొనుటకు పొంచి, వెదకుచు చాల సంగతులనుగూర్చి ఆయనను మాటలాడింపసాగిరి.

54. They were trying to find a way to catch Jesus saying something wrong.
